After reading the raving reviews on Bronze Goddess I decided to try it. I definitely agree with other reviewers who noted that there is a difference between the first version (with the circle on the front) and the 2010 edition. The original version is nice- but just doesn't mesh great with my chemistry- it does smell beachy but has an old or dusty smell on my skin after a few minutes (it may be the lavender in the first one which is not a favorite of mine). The 2010 version however is absolutely a masterpiece on me. Instead of the lavender it has gardenia in the middle, as well as caramel in the base. I have searched high and low for a scent that not only lasts but doesn't turn funky or too sweet on me. Bronze Goddess is slightly sweet, sexy, beachy and one-of-a-kind! It truIy smells like an exotic tropical beach. Husband smelled it on me and really liked it. I plan on stocking up on this one and wearing it year round. I definitely recommend trying this one on - if you love natural coconut and tropical exotic beaches- you may really enjoy it!

It's hard to disagree with the general consensus that Bronze Goddess is a lovely fruity coconutty type summery scent. I was surprised at how nice it smelled on me, but did note that the lasting power wasn't very good, and that it just isn't unique among the fruity-coconut-tropical fragrances. So, it is very pretty, but it just doesn't stand out, it just isn't a knockout. It'll do nicely if you need a scent for your caribbean getaway and don't mind reapplying. I might pick it up if I had nothing like this, but I already do, so No sale.

This scent is summer sexiness through and through -- I can't compare it to anything else...I think the packaging could have been more creative to reflect the sexiness of the scent, and I find the scent does fade a little faster than I would like, but it's not ridiculous...the lotion makes it last longer.

Fall is now approaching so I will see how well this transcends into the season...but this scent is just grown & sexy, makes me think of summer, late nights, dancing, sexual chemistry, heat, etc....actually if this scent was a video it would be "Don't You know What the Night Can Do" by Steve Winwood LOL...it smells like something the girls in that video would wear...love it...

Every woman should try it and see if it's for them...:)...if it is pick it up...

I have been using the spray and oil last summer and this summer. I get TONS of compliments on the way I smell. Mostly women compliment me on this and will ask what it is, but my DH loves it also. Its floral but definitely a summer floral, I don't think it would wear as well during the cooler months.

This is probably one of the best "perfumes" I've ever had!! I am totally in love with this fragrance and really hope that they will bring it out in the comming years as well. It develops beautifully on my skin leaving a sweet (not too sweet), clean, sexy and summery feeling reminding me of beach and vacation. As for the staying power I can't agree with the previous reviewers as this scent stays on me all day. I guess it really depends on the skin. In any case this is the perfect summer fragrance - making me feel like a goddess:)

This is amazing! I just purchased the perfume and the spray oil and I love it!! I was worried it wouldn't last based on some reviews but it does!!! I sprayed it early in the day and I still smelled it at the end of the day....even after I worked out!
I love it! This is the perfect summer scent! But it has a clean scent about it too!! I know everyone is different but this smells fantastic on me!!!

I've completely fallen in love with this fragrance. My usual fragrances are soft florals, but there's something so wonderful and summery about Bronze Goddess that I can't stop wearing it. To me, it's truly summer in a bottle.

My only complaint is that the scent is does not last long enough.

I will never never ever again let youtube or MUA reviews influence my perfume purchase. This has to be one of the worst scents in the world. Literally, and I mean literally it smells like urine on my skin. I know what urine smells like because I have pets. Sometimes pets urinate on carpet or clothing or the bed...it happens. Well I suppose Estee lauder has a factory filled with these lovely pets and collects their urine and bottles it into a cute little sparkly bottles with lovely labels calling it "Eau Fraiche Skinscent"....but really its urine. OMG this smells soo much like URINE!

Awesome really summery scent. Exotic fruit and (not foody) coconut. The creator/s has/have made a pretty good job at captivating the smell/feel of summer in a bottle. To be honest, it's the only frag that really nails this.
I only have two complaints. First of all, I'd prefer it to be an eau de toilette; I think it's a little more watery that I'd like. And second, where I live once June kicks in, every other girl on the street leaves a trail of this behind.

This is the perfect light summer scent. When I first sprayed it I was immediately reminded of coconut scented tanning lotion from my youth. But it is more than that. It is like you can smell the sun on your skin. It smells like what I would smell like after spending a day at the beach.

The only con to this fragrance is the staying power. Simply put, there isn't any. I love that it is light and can be worn everyday, but for some this may not be strong enough. The bottle is huge, so having to re-spray isn't that big of a deal to me. I still feel it is worth the price.

I was out shopping looking for a place to buy Bobbi Brown beach, a staple for summer. When I was at the cosmetic store, I asked the sales rep if she had it, she said "NO, but I have this product called Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess" First, this DOES NOT have the unique smell of the beach like Bobbi Brown, so if anyone tells you not true. However, I did love love love the scent. It does remind me of summer, suntan lotion, and sand. The lasting power was a few hours, would have been nice if it lasted longer. If you are shopping around, also give Bobbi Brown Beach a try....Unfortunately my perfume addiction just got bigger, now I HAVE to have both scents in my library.

This fragrance is what started my obsession with perfumes!! For years I rotated between 3: Clinique Happy, Clinique Happy to Be and Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise. I now have about 15. One day I was at the store to replace my bottle of Happy which had just started to smell a bit off when I picked this up randomly and sniffed it. OMG.. it smelled so good...like beaches, sexy summer nights, dancing, memories! I didn't even bother spraying it on my skin, I had to have it! Unfortunately its winter where I am and I'm rotating between HB Deep Red and Flowerbomb, so my Bronze Goddess is stored away in its box until summer comes! can't wait. Until then I'm content to just sniff it once in a while

I like this, it's great for summer. Very tropical and sweet when first applied. Kind of flashy, sexy and coconutty. Then I find that it does turn into a skin scent, kind of musky and nice. Not too strong, but you can overdo it, as I discovered at a concert when I sat behind a woman drenched in it, put me off it for awhile, but overall a nice sweet scent.

At first I loved the scent when I sprayed it liberally on me in Macy's. It seemed like a nice skin-scent, not at all overpowering, with primarily notes of vanilla and coconut. Not too sweet, just soft and warm, and similar to suntan lotion. However, after wearing it a few hours, it made me feel nauseated. I had to wash it all off my body and spray it with a scent that I felt was it's opposite-- Philosophy's Baby Grace, which is more fresh-smelling as opposed to the warm scent of Bronze Goddess. I returned the unopened bottle I purchased back to Macy's. I have a sample of Bronze Goddess, which I've tried to use on occasion, but it has the same affect of making me nauseated. I'm still on the hunt for a nice, warm summer fragrance, so next I'm going to try Kenzo's 7:15 a.m. in Bali.

This was an out of the blue purchase for me and I really love it. Very sexy, light and with a bit of spice. It smells (to me) like I am back walking down the beach in Cancun in the heat of the early evening. Not too sweet, just enough coconut, not at all overpowering. Doesn't last as long as most perfumes but it lasts a good few hours. It is a very comforting scent that draws a lot of compliments by men and women alike. Perfect for spring and summer, winter vacations to exotic locales. A little pricey at $48 (Macy's) but I would rebuy this one.

This scent just came to my attention this week- Estee Lauder seems to be relaunching/repromoting the fragrance with their Summer 2010 Bronze Goddess look. Its available now in the skinscent, lotion, and a body oil spray.

Nothing scent-wise appears to have changed (I think? I did not smell the original), but the bottle has been altered to look like the new body oil spray bottle- clear glass, stripes on the cap instead of a round striped label, and glitter encrusted on the bottom half of the bottle (its on there good, no risk of any rubbing off).

The juice itself is such a nostalgia trip for me. I grew up in Florida, and the perfume totally smells like Florida in summer- coconut, suntan lotion, and a tiny hint of spice. I didn’t get any flowers, but I only sniffed it on paper (arms already covered in other perfumes) Its the sort of scent that I imagine only gets better the more humid the air and the sweatier the wearer. Sweat + Scent = Sexy. It makes me sad that I won’t be spending my summer on the beach this year! Will be buying a bottle.

This is the only fragrance that I will come near finishing. I am fickle, but I love this so much I want to bathe in it. I dug this out since the weather got warmer here, but I should really wear it year-round. It's got that suntan lotion of yore scent, and it dries down creamy and warm, but not overly sweet. You're not going to walk around smelling like a vanilla coconut daiquiri with this. (And you'll smell like it all day -- for something that's not parfum or even EDT, it lasts amazingly well.) I've not smelled Bobbi Brown Beach, but I think this is what people were probably looking for when they docked it in the reviews. Bronze Goddess smells warm and sunny, but grown up sexy at the same time. I think Tom Ford did this for EL before he went solo, and this beats all his name fragrances with a stick.

This is definitely a unique fragrance. It smells like suntan lotion but the good kind. It is nicely executed and I would probably purchase this if I was into the suntan lotion scent but I'm not. I can't imagine where I could wear this besides to the beach where in which case, I could just lather on suntan lotion for that smell.

I was shopping for a new summer fragrance to add to my collection, so I thought this would be ideal to try after reading all the rave reviews here. The initial spritz was like a blast of suntan lotion with some coconut, very unexpected and not very pleasant. Within 5 minutes my body chemistry changed it to a strong lime scent which continued unchanged. A sharp lime scent. Very surprising. Also, I thought the bottle looked tacky for such a pricey fragrance. Didn't work for me.
