ive loved these chapsticks for a long long long time. I dont like "chapstick" and all the other kindo fchnky looking tubes, they always felt like i had a layer of wax on my lips which i just bit away at. couldn't stand those!

but with this, since i almost alwaysss have lipstick on was the only one that allowed my lipstick to go on nicely while moisturising underneath. it has nice flavors. not too expensive but pricier compared to some other ones. i like the thin tube-perfect for my thin lips :) and looks more feminine amongst my things as well

i have bought this product over and over and is the only chapstick ive ever been satisfied with on my lips. it seems to do the trick for me . unless another great chapstick falls into my lap i will be sticking to this :)

I bought this in a twin pack with the vanilla and marshmallow scents. Besides the yummy scents, everything about these balms were disappointing. The greasy consistency and thin tubes make application sloppy, and it wears off within 30 minutes even without eating or drinking anything, leaving my lips feeling more dry than before I used it. To top it off, the taste is repulsive. Even if it was decently moisturizing, the weird, taste it leaves is enough to keep me from repurchasing.

I have this in strawberry and vanilla. I love the vanilla, the smell and quality of it is really good. I recommend the vanilla. But I really dislike the strawberry. The smell of it is good in the tube, but when you put it on your lips it doesn't smell or taste good. And it feels kinda waxy on your lips. So buy the vanilla but stay away from the strawberry.

I saw an LE Sugar Cookie version of this @ Walmart, and figured I'd give it a shot after hearing how great this is over the years. My assessment - I have no idea what all the fuss is about. It's way too thin to do any good, and only mentholated enough to dry out my lips, not enough so to numb them and distract me from the peeling while it works like Carmex does. It melts off my lips and feels really greasy around my lip line, which I can't stand. The thin tube is actually a plus since it makes it easier to apply neatly...not that it matters, see the preceding sentence about it melting off my lips. The only other plus is the sugar cookie scent (smells like BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar).

At first, I didn't understand the hype behind these. In ways, I still don't. But after using it for a little while, I've seen that it is soothing and moisturizing, and that's always a good thing. I've only tried the vanilla flavor, and because I'm usually not a fan of fruity scents, I'll probably stick with that.

Honestly, my only complaint is how thin they are. When you have full lips, the thin tube isn't very efficient.

I gave this a 2 because the price is right and I liked that it was slim and easy to put in my pocket. Didn't give it further marks as I think it made my lips worse. Dried them. not good at all. Much preffer Blistex or that paw paw ointment. Try suvana (paw paw & honey certified organic lip blam), it's great

I'm not a big fan of this balm. Yes, it feels good, it has a great scent and it's petite. But it doesn't last very long, and what good is an spf lip balm if it comes off so quickly? I'd much rather use the Blistex or Carmex balms.

I love the feeling going on and immediately after I put it on, but this doesn't last at all. It does nothing for chapped and dry lips! Like someone said below, this actually makes my lips feel worse when it wears off, and it wears off so quickly it's not even worth it. Maybe i'll use it when my lips don't need moisture but right now in November, I'll be using something else.

I can't believe the good reviews on this product! I can agree, it feels good going on and all, but it doesn't last at all. I feel like it makes my lips more chapped than they are before wearing it. I won't ever buy these again!

great little chapstick that comes in flavors... i have the "sugar cookie" flavor which has a nice scent.
goes on somewhat shiny (a little glossy).. which i love for a natural lip or over my lip stains. it's also pretty moisturizing.. mostly i love the slim case which is easy to fit in a pocket or purse.

I was a fan of these balms until they stopped making the flavour, Crystal Ice, which was a tingly, minty-but-not scent. The lasting power is not so great on this, and the other flavours were quite hit and miss and considering the price for a very tiny tube, I no longer thought it was worth it. The tube is kinda cool, but after awhile, the twisting mechanism gets very loose and that gets annoying. I've moved on to better, cheaper, less annoying balms. Too bad there's no more of the flavour I liked so much, or else I'd keep using them. And too bad that SoftLips is the only balm Mentholatum makes...the company makes better balms that are sold in Asia.

I love the small tube that takes up no space in my bag or fits in a pocket but the flipside of that is that you get so little product in such a small tube. Regardless, it isn't an issue with me because I am allergic to this product. I have tried it several times because I like it other wise but each time I have to relearn the hard way :(

The best stuff i have ever tried, seriously, i swear by it. Have been using it since forever. Great range of flavours thats really moisturising. It burns slightly to soothe your lips which is what i like about it. i use it all year round, for cracked lips in winter and dry in summer. It's dirt cheap as well and i love the application, so easy, you don't have to dip your fingers into a little tub or squeeze it out of a tube with it sticking everywhere. My HG.

This is slippery, smells fresh, like honeydew melon. VERY Slight tingle sensation from the "Mentholatum". My lips are soooo pretty with this. Please try this. You WILL love it.

i've been using Softlips lipbalms for about 2 years now.. i used to use Lip Smackers. but seriously, this stuff is SO good!! i always use the Vanilla one or the Honeydew Melon one. they taste so yummy, and they moisturize SO well! i never get chapped lips because of them. and that tingly feeling that i get when i apply it is so refreshing and nice! the thin tube packaging is quite cute, and it can actually fit into my jean pockets (i live in jeans almost) without creating a big, weird bulge.

the only problem is the price.. i buy this at about $3.89 CA per tube, which is quite expensive compared to other lipbalms. but for the quality, i think it's worth buying over and over again!

I really like this - I have it in 'Ravishing Raspberry', and it smells pretty good and gives my lips this cool, tingly feeling. This really doesn't leave a shine, but it makes your lips all moisturized and prettyful. :)

But the packaging is kinda crappy - its hard to explain, but part of the upper tube broken off (???) and so the cap falls off easily. It also doesn't last me long. I think this was 2.99/3.99 at London Drugs.

Will probably buy again, but I like Burts Bees Balm better.

Softlips is great! I love this stuff. It moisturizes my lips fairly quicky, but doesn't leave them in a sticky or greasy mess. The packaging is oh-so-adorable and looks cute in my makeup bag. I've tried a couple of them, but I'd say that the french vanilla and the tinted kind is imo crappy (fv=smells horrible, tinted=gives you a bright pink weird-looking tint). However, I had to reapply quite frequently, as this product dry up pretty quickly. Another thing, is that it's a little expensive, considering that I put it on frequently, and I use up the entire tube within 2 or 3 weeks. There was a time when I religiously bought them, but I think I'm ready to move on.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! After a visit to Korea a decade ago, I was looking for something to replace this amazing chapstick I had bought in Korea. I was attracted to Softlips because the design of the chapstick was nearly identical to what I was looking for. I really wasn't disappointed, and I've been using this chapstick since. It moisturizes your lips so well, and the thin tube fits into my tiny purses! At any given time, I have 4-5 Softlips chapsticks in my possession... I can coordinate flavours with my outfits haha!

Can't beleive I haven't written a review of this yet b/c I use it every day. I've been using this stuff for 10 years. I've tried every other drugstore brand, and quite a few more expensive ones, but I keep going back to this. Light, non-greasy, effective, and stays put. I noticed they've made all the flavors SPF20 now, which is nice. I like Vanilla, the minty ones, and just discovered Honeydew. Does anyone know what happened to the pretty tinted line of these? I liked them too, but can't find them anywhere now. Never mind, SoftLips is still my HG of lipbalms!

I've used this for about 7 years now and love this balm. Its soft and very smooth to apply. It isn't sticky or glossy, just smooth and natural. After seeing some of the other reviews I think I'll have to go shopping around. I've only ever been able to buy the cherry/mint or the vanilla. I think the price is reasonable since it seems to be a slightly more "fancy" product than say a standard tube of Blistex or Chapstick. Good stuff.
