I was at Sephora when I saw this mascara and tried it! Wow I was surprised at the effect it had! It was amazing! It seperated, lengthened, curled, and added volume. It curled better than my Avon Daring Curves mascara, which just clumps. I bought this mascara ($20) but then returned it because mascara actually makes my eyelashes fall out so I've been using clear mascara which i love (the best brand for clear mascara is MaxFactor). Im surprised at the negative reviews for this product, maybe it depends on the eyelashes? I have naturally long and somewhat curled lashes, but am always looking for volume and length.

I was at Sephora when I spotted this mascara. I tried on a sample & I really liked how it thickened & added a great curl & volume to my lashes. I simply had to buy it! Bought it for US $19... Eh, I thought it was worth it.
I noticed it takes a while longer to dry compared to some of my drugstore brand mascaras. I think the tube is too plain, but it's not that important. I think the applicator brush could be WAAYY better, though.
UPDATE: It's been about 5 months since I've bought this & I'm still using the same tube. I still really like it! I use about 2 coats, REALLY thickens & lengthens. All of my friends comment on my eyelashes about it. Just give it a couple of minutes to dry.

Frankly, I love this mascara. I'm surprised about the negative reviews, the brush definitely separates my lashes, and I haven't had any problems with picking up too much product.
I love both the brush and the formula, and I get compliments on it every single day.

im so suprised about the reviews! i got this bc i was at sephora. I have long lashes that REFUSE to stay curled and stick out very straight no matter what i do!! a worker picked this out for me! for the 1st time i dont need to keep reapplying my mascara. the brush is sort of weird that why i gave it a 4 instead of the 5. if the bristles were a little long i would love it! keep in mind that you dont need to redip is for both eyes. if you use this along with a eyelash comb you will be very impressed!

YUK! I bought this for a wedding I was attending after seeing the demos on a shopping channel. This stuff is like spackle! It is thick and goopy. The comb/brush does not separate lashes at all because it picks up too much product. I even tried wiping the comb before applying. No help. Gives you thick, spikey, overdone looking lashes. For the price ($19.50), I feel totally suckered.

The bad reviews were right! Horrible mascara- i wish i could give it 0 lippies! First off i want to say that i typically love heavy&thick mascara's. I love dramatic lashes and usually whenever a person complains about a mascara being too clumpy- it's always good for me BUT this one really was clumpy. The brush is a disaster- the idiot who invented this needs to re-think their profession. The brush administers a tremendous amount of clumpy mascara that becomes a huge mess and gets everywhere. It also makes your lashes stick together and weighs them down. When i read all the reviews i honestly thought that these other reviewers were complaining because they wanted a more natural mascara but no they were right- this mascara is just that bad, Even i who generally loves heavy mascara couldn't use this. I tried everything in order for it to work and took my time but this is useless junk. The only reason why i am not furious is because i got it as part of a gift set at ulta. For $40 i got this full size mascara and a bunch of other products that i actually love so the mascara ended up being free so to speak. I can only imagine the pain of paying $20 for this crap.

I did not like the comb like brush. It was a joke. This mascara is very fiber-like and clumps very easily. I love the blue color, but the formula stinks. It flaks and clumps. It by no means gives the illusion of artificial lashes! I can not believe this is on the shelf!

I wanted to like this mascara, I really did.
When I tried it in store (at Sephora) I used the sample mascara brushes they offer so I didn't get the effect of the special "four-sided, contoured brush" that is on the Lorac wand.
It would be better off with a normal brush because the LORAC "innovative" brush has some serious problems.
The bristles are way too far apart and therefore WAY too much product is on the brush causing eye lashes to clump - big time. Having the bristles on all four sides is a logical idea, but they are oddly long and so I found that on top of it being awkward to use on my top lashes, applying the mascara to my bottom lashes was a serious challenge.
I bought the midnight blue colour which is a really pretty medium shade of blue. When it is first applied it is a very subtle nice colour on the lashes but dries quickly into a darker almost black colour (losing all hints of blue). If I wanted black mascara I would buy black mascara.
The only time I got it applied where it was semi decent (and so I left it put since I was just hanging around the house) it didn’t flake or smudge and was easy to remove.
I gave it 2 stars because besides the colour issue I think the actual product could have been promising had the wand been better designed.
I don’t however recommend it at all and am planning on returning mine for something better!

Fabulous mascara. I don't know what the other reviews are about because the wetness of this mascara makes it so much easier to apply.
I get gorgeous seperated lashes that literally touch my eyebrows.

too much product!!! the brush seems like it would work but instead it picks up too much of the product so by the time it gets on ur lash it weighs it down and smears all over ur lid
the only way i have been able to make it work is leave out the wand for a minute and let it dry a bit so that when i a wear it , its not as wet
must must must be used with the shiseido mascara base or else it will just make ur lashes weigh down

The brush on this is comparable to Lancome Fatale but still very different. There are 4 combs on the wand tip and the bristles are spaced too far apart so it is a clumpy mess going on. After combing my lashes I realized it barely looked like I had anything on at all. I did not notice any lengthening. The only thing this mascara is good for is volume but you have to work out all of the clumps. The brush is just a poorly made gimick-y hassle and I would not recommend this mascara at all.

I like the color and how it wears, however, it is clumpy putting on.
Two solutions:
1) wipe the wand with a kleenex to get the extra off, then apply.
2) apply gunky, then use an old brush from used up mascara (or take home one or two of those sample brushes from Sephors where you bought the Lorac) then brush through to unclump.
I do think it's pricey, however, I found it absolutely non-irritating for my sensitive, contact-lens wearing eyes.

What can I say... This stuff sucks ... I was talked into buying this by the Lorac sales clerk that was there that day while shopping at Sephora... I was a faithful Maybelline Ultra Lash user for over 15 years until they discontinued it :*( and i've been on a quest ever since to find a replacement as good, so far I have found NOTHING as good but have found things that are pretty good....I now have to use Shiseido mascara base with Lancome's Definicils' to get nearly the same look as my 5 dollar tube of Ultra-Lash.... let me tell you a bit about my lash background.... I have lots of lashes just they point DOWN.. yes you read that right they point DOWN... and they aren't the longest..but I remedied that problem with Revitalash... my lashes are nice and long but still point down .... I have a few lashes that are curling upwards but still Have to use an Eyelash curler....I recommend the Tarte Curler it's the best curler hands down.....and I've tried them all you can read my reviews on all of them... anyhow my problem with mascara is that my lashes loose thier curl when I apply mascara .. so to remedy that I have to use Shiseido Mascara base ... which works great at keeping the lashes curled so that when I apply my mascara my lashes remained curled... well I did my usual... I took out my Tarte curler heated it with my blowdryer for 20 seconds ... then curled my lashes ... then I applied my Shiseido mascara base to one eye... I then applied this mascara to the curled lashes... with no base...they fell IMMEDIATELY this stuff is so gooky and wet ... and the brush absolutely sucks... you can't get the tiny inner lashes at all with this brush or comb or I have no idea what this thing is..... then I figured hmmm let me try my other eye, same exact thing my lashes drooped immediately ... even with my mascara base .. it was a horrible mess.... all that curling and the base for what... for stick straight lashes and all gunked up and clumpy.. this stuff is supposedly for defining.... well if you want 8 defined lashes umm maybe this is for you ... but I hated it....it clumpled like crazy... the only good thing was my lower lashes.... I cant lie... my lower lashes are more sparse.. and for some reason this did well on them...they looked pretty long....but for upper lashes oh HELL no.... so if you are eyelash challenged this is NOT for you .... as you can guess I am obsessed with eyelashes....

i just bought this today from the ULTA store near me because i was sooo attracted to the packaging and the display they had for it!. the photo of the girl wearing it had unbelievably beautiful lashes and i know they weren't real they couldn't of been but i bought it anyway. BIG MISTAKE!. it was soooooo horrible. its supposed to lengthen, curl and separate..? for real? because all it did to me was clump like hell and really weigh my lashes down alot. it was so horrible. even a bigger mistake that i wasted my gift card and money on it. and the time i spent looking at it was a waste plus my gas to get up there. it was so horrible. do not waste your money.

I am a sucker for interesting mascara wands. Every since I got hooked on Bourjois Yes to Volume No to Clumps, I'm on board for just about anything. So I was super excited to try this four-sided comb. It's a plastic comb, and you can actually feel the bristles pushing against the tube when you pull the wand out. The bristles are strangely long and far apart, not tight like the Bourjois.
This went on extremely thick. There is just too much product on the comb, I don't understand how anyone could use all four sides in one application. Lorac says this is a lengthening, curling and separating mascara, and while this gave plenty of everything, it is NOT separating! My lashes were clumped together and were spiky and very stiff to the touch.
On the bright side, I like that you can paint your top and bottom lashes at once, but overall this was a return for me. Not awful, but nowhere near as good as many mascaras out there!
