I am an unfortunate eczema sufferer and since it is a chronic condition, I need a good cream on hand at all times. This cream has been my savior for the past 2-3 years. I am one of those people who has tried everything from steroid prescription, to non-steroid prescription, to natural remedies of all sorts but the Aveeno Eczema cream has always worked for me. I rely on it and it does not let me down. What more can you ask?

The eczema cream is a great, its cooling to touch and really soothes irritated skin that is on the verge of developing the scaly eczema. For course if you have moderate eczema already, you will need prescription strength treatment. For the skin that is not already plagued with eczema yet, this is super moisturizing. I use this and Skin Relief lotion, I agree with the reviewer below me, It doesnt absorb well between the thighs, but it does stop the itchies where eczema is forming. In comparsion to the Skin Relief Lotion, I would say that the Skin Relief lotion is great for all over the legs, its thinner and absorbs faster, and doesnt leave white streaks. I use this eczema cream as a spot treatment only.

As far as I can tell, Aveeno re-released this, changing the words "eczema care" to "eczema therapy."
Plain and simple, this is a moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin. Applied right out of the shower, it kept my eczema-prone skin moisturized and filmy/sticky (more on that) for the day. It did nothing to soothe my itchy skin or treat my eczema any more than my current lotion did.
Keep in mind that this is a cream, which would be ideal for dry, winter weather. Unlike Aveeno's Active Naturals Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion, this cream does not absorb easily, and sits heavily on the skin surface. This can cause uncomfortable stickiness for areas like the inner thighs. You might consider trying it just on problem spots. Will not repurchase.

This is for Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream. I have had an itchy rash for a while and have tried everything. This really does sooth it well.
It is very thick and gooey out of the tube but smooths out well and is incredibly moisturizing. I can feel a film of this on my skin many hours after applying it, but that's good because my skin feels very soft and smooth where I put it. It says on the tube the active ingredient is colloidal oatmeal, but in the ingredients list, the fourth ingredient from the end is oat kernal extract. The first ingredients are water (as in all moisturizers) and glycerin, an excellent ingredient. I'm not sure this will heal my eczema, but it definitely provides some much needed relief.

I used this on my face and neck for an eczema flare-up that was not healing and extremely RED, itchy and irritated. The Aveeno does moisturize but in a way that is too shiny for facial use. It creates such a strong water barrier that my skin looked unusually shiny and almost like plastic wrap. Also, it caused a huge breakout, with about 7 new pimples after two days of using this lotion. I must have had a bad reaction to an ingredient in it, perhaps it was the dimethicone.
I gave it two lippies because it does moisturize to a certain extent but I would recommend exercising caution before using it on the face.
The price is decent at least. I bought the smaller version of this product at Target for 7.99, marketed as Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream, but the ingredients are the same as the regular one (I checked).

This really works! I've had eczema on my middle finger for a while now, and this has really helped to get rid of it. It's very soothing, and very moisturizing. I put it anywhere I have dryness, and this helps so much. I wish this came in a bigger bottle with a pump, because I would love to use this as a body lotion. But regardless, this is amazing, a little bit expensive for drugstore, around $12 for around 111 mL, but it's well worth it. Will definitely be repurchasing!

I'm so glad I bought this! I was a little scared to try, as my face has been reacting to everything lately, however Aveeno has worked for me in the past (though a lot of their products contain irritants so you have to read the label!). The texture of this cream is neat - when you squeeze it out of the tube, it looks like a thick cream, however once you rub your hands together, it liquifies and soaks into the skin immediately. Its WONDERFUL for face and is very hydrating without being heavy or greasy. On my actual eczema patches, this isn't quite enough moisture, however if I apply a few layers, its great. I like to use this all over my face and then put pure shea butter over top of the dry patches...skin is improving greatly!

This is the best lotion I've ever used! I used to have eczema as a kid and this works better than prescription ointments have ever worked. I also used this on my face for winter dryness and it is so smooth and blendable and de flakes dry patches. I have finished 2 tubes of this stuff!

I've always had normal skin until recently when my knuckles started to get really dry and started cracking. I tried treating it with a cream from a scent store and it felt like it was burning into my skin. I'm assuming it was the perfumes, dyes, etc irritating my skin. I picked this up because it was fragrance free and seemed like a pretty decent product just looking at it in the store so I purchased it. I am in love with this and I've even started using it on my elbows, knees and anywhere else I notice I have dry patches. It is SO moisturizing and doesn't burn my skin when I apply it. It spreads over the skin nicely leaving everything silky smooth. I picked this up at Walmart for probably $10 but it seems like its discontinued...which makes me super sad! I'll spare this along and hope that its available again by the time I run out.

I really like this cream. I bought the Baby Eczema Care, I saw it at SDM in the clearance section and I snapped it up for $2. I thought about getting the rest of the stock (3-4 left), but I figured that if I liked it I'd come back. A few days later I went out of my way to the same store and none were left.
It moisturises nicely and unlike most creams I like that it is not in a tub, I really don't like tub packaging. My only issue is that it is $12.99 for such a small package. The way I go through cream, I finished it in about two weeks, it's just too expensive for me to regularly buy. I'm trying out some other creams that are more economical, and will update if I find anything comparable. Too expensive to buy again

This cream is MAGIC. Five months ago, I've had eczema that appeared out of no where on one side of my neck and two to three months ago it got bigger, redder, and itchier and some even appeared on the other side of my neck!!! I've tried the 0.5% hydrocortisone cream for the itch, I've tried Glaxxal Base for the dryness and even allergy meds to prevent further irritation and NOTHING. I was afraid that it'll spread onto my face and other areas.
I bought this on a whim and it instantly it soothed my skin, stopped the itching and toned down the redness. At the end of day three and it's almost gone!! The texture has completely changed to something more smooth and touchable. It was $12.99 at the Shopper's Drug Mart so the price was worth it and I like the packaging because I could never lose it.
I was sad that, technically, Aveeno discontinued the product. If you're an eczema sufferer try this product out and if it works then stock up like crazy!! I would also recommend looking at other products from Aveeno to see if they have the same ingredients. It's the oatmeal that helps with the itching and the ceramides (aka Steareth-20 I believe) that helps with the moisturizing. <3 <3 <3

While I don't have eczema, per se, I do have some skin issues and this is great stuff! It's light, but deeply moisturizing and quick-absorbing, and has a very inoffensive smell to it.
I definitely recommend this for those with itchy skin!

I've suffered from eczema pretty much all my life...I've tried many different products from high to low-end, & quite a few percentages of hydrocortisone creams. This Aveeno is so moisturizing and it really helps calm down my skin & take down the redness. Before this, I had scaly skin & bright red splotches on my inner arm, my neck/throat, face & thighs. I'd peel in places too...ick! With this, there's been a HUGE improvement. I use it as a spot treatment for those areas where I really need help. It's about $9.99CAD & is readily available at the RCSS with all the other body lotions. I don't know how I could've done without this! Would definitely buy this again when I run out.

I've dealt with eczema and sensitive dry skin skin all of my life. This product is one of the few that really does help! It soothes and calms my irritated skin and seems to help it heal and almost seem normal again! It will not cure the problem, but it sure is a good product especially for the price! ($9.99).
Unfortunately, shortly after I discovered it, the Aveeno company stopped distributing it to stores. Now the only place I've been able to find it is on EBay and the sellers are asking anywhere from $20- $50 per tube!!! I am very upset by this and disagree with their attempts at "scalping".
If anyone has heard of a legitimate source or if Aveeno plans to re-release this product. Please let me know!

I have eczema on my shins most days, which makes them itch like crazy. This doesn't get rid of ALL of the itchiness, but it does calm my skin down a lot. The smell is unoffensive, it's very moisturizing, and the price is right. I got this for $9.99 at CVS.
I had a hard time finding this because for a few weeks I was only looking in the lotion section, but I found this in the aisle with poison ivy treatments and the like.

This stuff works so well. I used it for my son's eczema during the winter and it healed faster than with steroid cream! It cures my Husbands dry spots and my dry flaky indereye area. I used to get it on the J&J employee website but i hear they are considering discontinuing it because the FDA didn't like how they marketed it. They say they may repackage it...i hope so., i just ordered 10 bottles from a local store. They were the only only one with stock left!

I've suffered with eczema and dry skin all my life. As soon as the temperature outside dips below 65 degrees (sadly, this is 90% of the time), the skin on my hands would crack and bleed.
Nothing OTC helped and dangerous RX potions would only work for a short time, before my skin would get used to them and go back to cracking and bleeding. I saw an ad for this in December and had a hard time finding this product, but I am so thrilled I persevered. This cream is a miracle! I'm on my 2nd tube. It immediately soaks into my skin, feels wonderful, looks great, and doesn't have a weird smell. I have used it on my face, hands, and feet, and my skin looks better than normal! I have recommended it to at least a dozen other people, who have all been just as excited as I am with this product. There are "ceramides" in this product and I think that is what makes it work so well, but I've tried other ceramide creams that were way more expensive and definitely not as effective as Aveeno. If you suffer from eczema, RUN and get this product. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
When the tube is almost empty, there's still plenty in there. I
went on a long weekend thinking I would toss the tube out (and not have to take it home, what with the TSA nonsense on creams and gels) but as I was still able to get product to come out of the tube, I took it home with me. It lasted a full 2 weeks more, even using it twice a day. So, you can squeeze every drop out. Hopefully, this product will be easier to buy in the future. Right now, I am having difficulty finding it.
