Forget about this being fragrance free. It still has a slightly faint cocoa butter fragrance but nothing that lingers and nothing like the over the top cloyingly fake fragrance of the original. The thing i don't understand is why women who wear fragrance can tolerate the non fragrance-free variety, the scent is so strong that surely it interferes with any perfume (apart from perhaps a gourmand type fragrance like Thierry Mugler's Angel). I was so excited to find this product as otherwise i would stop using what we all know as the best chemist/drugstore brand body moisturiser known to man!

The first initial smell is of paint then when it dries down it smells like paint and cocoa butter and finally just cocoa butter. It definitely isn't fragrance free though but it is better than the fragranced Cocoa Butter Lotion which smells nothing like the Cocoa Butter in the tub (real chocolate). They both work the same and on me that's crap fro my uber dry skin. Not impressed.

This is a great option if you like the original Palmer's formula but can't bear the smell (a category which alot of MUAers seem to fall in to!) It does have a very slight fragrance that I can quite put my finger on - a bit chemically. It offers the exactly same moisturising but without the original smell. I won't repurchase however as it doesn't leave my skin super silky smooth (call me demanding!)

This is the "fragrance free" version of the original favorite. I purchased this on drugstore.com because as much as I love the original version, sometimes I can do without the strong fragrance which I must admit I can get a bit tired of. I still get a slight hint of the fragrance in this version, but it is much less noticeable. I also get a sort of chemical-y smell from it which I don't like -- this also happened when I tried Bliss Naked Body Butter, which is also supposed to be fragrance free. In terms of effectiveness, though, it is awesome, just like the original.
