OMG this is the best foundation EVER! It's a definte HG product. First of all though can i just say that the packaging is rubbish. Revlon please, please, please can you put a pump on this thing i waste soo much product trying to pour it out!
Anyway onto the foundation it's self well this makes your skin look flawless when applied with a 187 brush you get just the right amount of coverage on your face.
The formula is a nice concisancy and it has like a strong smell which your gonna either love or hate and i happen to love it lol .
Another thing wich i love is that when you have this on your face it stays on your face wich is great so constant touch ups through out the day ar'nt nessacary. But one thing i could say is that invest in some good make-up remover cause this stuff is hard to get off at the end of the day
I have used this for about three months now and i am i love with it i have tried a few other foundations which seem crap compared to this one! But i have never tried sff so cannot compare it with that.
Hope this helped
Abbie x

This foundation is horrible. The smell is overpowering - way stronger than any foundation I've ever tried. It flaked on my dry spots almost immediately. It doesn't blend evenly, and it feels somehow oily at the end of the day, even though my skin is dry. Totally awful, would never repurchase.

Very nice foundation. Coverage is on the full side with a matte finish. I like that it doesn't turn orange as the day wears on, as many other foundations do. Good match with my skin tone.

Love this stuff! Pretty cheap (esp. when on sale) and makes my skin look flawless! Love the buildable coverage, and the color is an exact match for me. Can't ask for more!

Boo because there's no shade that's remotely yellow enough for me. I adore it's lasting power and coverage, but I just can't pull off a pinkish face when I really want to cover hyperpigmentation. If these $14(!) bottles at full drugstore price came with pumps, I could mix different shades easily. Until then, my HG face combo remains Maybelline Superstay in Classic Beige with a primer.

This is a really nice foundation. I was surprised to find that a drug store foundation like this worked so so well. It has great coverage and it doesn't break me out. I'll keep using this. I like it better than the clinique clarifying foundation I was using; the color range is much better and it stays on better.

This was like a freebie for students right about now... meaning if you find it be sure and ask how long will the sale be on because the foundation match crisis look like it might be over

This isn't the most amazing foundation out there, but for the price it definitely can't be beat. It matches my skin tone well and has a good variety of fair colors...It also doesn't dry out my skin which some foundations tend to do. I had acne when I started using this and it didn't help, but it didn't make me break out any worse. If I had more money I might splurge on a higher-end foundation, but for now this is great.

This foundation is probably my favorite foundation I've tried so far other than Prescriptives Oil Free. What I really like about this foundation is that it really does stay all day and gives great coverage but doesn't break me out. The color is PERFECT for my very fair skin (light) and I like that it dries after you put it on and doesn't feel greasy. I find that with most other foundations a few hours later my foundation is like a greasy streaky mess and with this foundation it literally stays in place. In fact, so much so that this morning after having a particularly bad day and crying for about 10 minutes, I went to look at my face in the mirror and I literally looked exactly the same as I did when I put my make up on in the morning! I was shocked. Normally, my foundation would have streaked down my face creating a mess. I use this foundation with some of the MAC FIX+ and WOW it's amazing how well it stays on. I really wish this formula was not discontinued. It's just perfect! The bottle is ok, reminds me of MAC and has an even larger opening to get foundation out better which is great. I really like that it's larger than usual. About the size of a dime or more. The bottle is glass. I really can't think of anything to improve on with this foundation. It is med/full coverage, dries quickly, really does stay all day (despite crying) and is the PERFECT shade for me. It gives me an old hollywood glam kind of look when I wear it. I always feel like I look 100 times better with this foundation on then with others.

This is my absolute favourite foundation ever!!! I've tried many before and have always been disappointed. This foundation looks natural on me while still providing medium to full coverage, covers my faded icepick acne scars on my cheeks, and last all day without needing to touch-up once! The only thing which is a pain is that like most other foundations they don't have a shade that matches my light skin undertones. I have a combination of pinks and yellows in my skin making my overall undertone slightly cool-to-neutral but most foundations look either too orange or too pink on me. With this one I'm forced to buy two bottles and mix them to make my perfect shade. I find mixing 65% ivory with 35% buff is perfect. A lot of work but totally worth it!!

I've used this product in 2 different stages that my skin has gone through. 2 years ago, I tried out this foundation and it looked flawless on me. It didn't make me greasy and the color worked with my skin. But after I finished it, I tried other foundations for a while and forgot about it. Now the overall condition of my skin has changed. It breaks out but needs moisture. I went back to this product and it still works well. I put a light layer over my face and then cover with mineral powder and it does the trick. It doesn't make me break out more and it controls my shine than some others I've tried. But this product really just depends on your skin type.

I bought this based off the raves on the boards here, especially those which said it was excellent for oily, acne prone skin. So many people seemed to say it was their HG d/s foundation...so, considering it was within my budget, and seemed perfect for my skin, I bought it. Now, none of the shades seemed to fit close enough with my extremely fair skin. Ivory seemed almost a bit too fair, Buff too yellow, and because I was in a hurry, I grabbed Nude. It's actually a pretty close match, but a bit too dark for me. I mix in some lighter foundation though to fix that problem...but the color alone is not my main concern with this product at all.
For one thing, the smell is extremely overwhelming. It is one of the most digusting smells I have ever encountered in a makeup product. It reeks of some type STRONG medicine they give you at the hospital. Not something I want on my face, really.
But if that's not bad enough, although this is supposed to be for "oily" skin, it only seemed to make my skin oilier. It was slippier, and within a few hours, my face was greasy and shiny. The color was blotchy, and just not an overall attractive look.
Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with this, and had much higher expectations...I keep hoping to find an affordable foundation that is nearly perfect, but this is certainly not one that fits the bill.

Ok, call me a labelwhore, but this stuff sucks. I tried some on at CVS to get a color match and it seemed fine....then I tried it on my clean face that was moisturized and primed, and it had sunk into my pores and acne scars like nothing I have ever seen...Then I tried again, thinking it was the primer (The Present by philosophy which is my HG so far...)But the same thing happened. I can see people with perfect smooth skin use this..and maybe because the formula uses alot of nasty chemicals..but I will stick with my MUFE Foundies for now!!

My foundation for 8 years. I've dabbled with other drugstore and high end foundations, and nothing lasts as long or covers as well.
EDIT: This is the first product I reviewed here and I still can't live without it. I have tried E.L. Double Wear, Rimmel lasting, Almay TLC, and a couple other foundations since my first review. ALL have paled in comparison to Colorstay's supreme power to cover my acne prone and scarred skin without breaking me out. For the last year or so, Revlon has been on sale 50% off and/or BOGO at at least one store near me at any given time. I never have to pay full price for it. I would pay $50 a bottle for it. For no logical reason, I will continue to try other foundations that are released to see if they might be better than Colorstay, but they won't be. Colorstay will be there to cover the blemishes I get from those other foundations, and it will cover them all day. I don't deserve you, Colorstay. I really don't.

All I have to say is that this is wayyyyy better than Estee Lauder DoubleWear Liquid Foundation. Revlon Colorstay is very natural looking and the shade that I got is perfect! I took 1 lippie out because it is in a bottle.

I gave packaging 3 because I really wish there was a pump instead of me shaking the bottle all the time.
Anyways, my skin is VERY OILY. I mean, i tried mineral makeup but my skin just soaked it up and spat it back out.
With this it just sits and doesn't move. It almost seems like the oil doesn't come out of my pores either LOL. I'm loving it. It really is "colorstay".
Has not broken me out. Just wash properly and scrub, moisturize. Take care of your skin!

Bought this on a whim along with the powder. All I can say is...it smells horrendous, and it looks very cakey. Also, it did break me out a bit, so just that alone is reason enough not to use it anymore. I just couldn't get over the smell, either. I can't even describe it...maybe I got a bad one? Doubt it, but then again, it was from BigLots. Feh. I will not buy this again, or the powder.

Apparently since i have been suffering from horrendoes hormonal acne I have been needing full coverage foundation with a vengeance. My coloring changes throughout the year and when I first bought this it was slightly too golden for me...and now it is slightly too light. BUT it covers up my oily acne bruised skin really well. After trying to use a custom blend prescriptives foundation that was not meant to cover horrendous acne, I am back on Revlon, the powerhouse of stayon coverage during the humid hot days of summer when your make up CANNOT shift or melt. This did not breakme out.
-----------
It will make dry patches worse though so you have to really exfoliate. You put it on and it doesnt come off even in the summer, high humid heat on super oily skin. It also covers up acne pretty well.
-----------
I have used:
Cargo 40 (too light and neutral) C50 was TOO dark and brown
Almay Sand (too light-great when pale) (Almay Warm too beige/brown)
Prescriptives Custom Blend - 5 Y/3G/3T
MAC NC 25 (slightly peachy and too light) (NC30 - too dark)
Shisheido 040 (too orange)
I have yellow/olive skin that gets paler and greener with less sun and darker and golden with more sun. But i never look orange. I tan a mediterrean bronze color.

I tried one shade in the normal/oily skin formula, but it was an un-natural look. It sat on the surface of my skin looking caked on, showing up all the pores on my nose (I did try applying one section at a time as suggested but this did not help).
Then I tried another shade in the normal to dry skin formulation, but looked too shiny and rubbed off and transfered onto my clothes. Maybe because I have oily skin?
I did not like the packaging. One that came in a jar without a pump which is difficult to get out, and the other one which was a gift-with purchase tube was too messy.
Anyway, it was all useless to persevere anyway as the color selection was poor for my lvory/Light skin. They looked too dark/orangey-yellow on me like an obvious makeup mask.
