MAC paints are the best eye shadow bases in the world! Shadows stay crease-free for up to 18 hours with these! I usually use Stilife as a base, but I have also used Shimma and Mauvism with the same results. These are quite pretty on their own too, and mix well, just like artist's paints! Try Pixel with almost any other paint to lighten it up. The tubes are large, and just a dab is needed, so the $16 cost is actually quite a bargain!

In my opinion, Paints are by far MAC's best product. They are shimmery, last ALL day, and can be layered for a deeper color. Stilife and Canton Candy make great bases and keep my eyeshadow crease free all day. The only thing I dislike is the packaging. Unless you store them with the lid facing upward, the product tends to come gushing out of the tube as soon as you open it.

I would kiss the feet of the person that created this incredible product!!! MAC paints are cream-based eyeshadows that do not... I repeat... do not crease on me, even under the hottest, sweatiest (yuck), or oiliest conditions You can apply MAC paints to the eyelids with MAC brush #242, #252, or any concealer brush or clean lipbrush... and some prefer to use the fingers. Any method you choose, you do have to be fast... you can't budge the product to blend it once it has dried (and it dries in about 30 seconds). But the results are superb -- a softly shimmery eyecolor that stays true to color, doesn't smear, doesn't crease, and is non-irritating (at least for my sensitive eyes!) Thank you MAC paint creator!!!

These cream eyeshadow "paints" are fabulous! They come in a small squeeze tube (looks like a little artist paint) and come in a growing number of colours. I have STILIFE (shimmery almost peachy beige great as a wash or base), MAUVISM (a shimmery lavender), and SHIMMA (a cool silvery colour with a touch of grey). You can apply these paints with a brush or with your fingers and try to start with a small amount and layer to make the colour more intense. Since these paints come in a paint tube there is no way that excess can be salvaged! (i was given a sample in a white MAC sample container and it just dried up and got all hard :( Oh well, so try to use little by little to conserve! The tubes may look small, but I think that the product will last a very long time since only a small amount is needed per application! These paints are cream but do dry to a great dry finish that lasts all day (even with my oily lids), and do not even start to crease! I don't know what else to say, but if you are looking for high quality eye makeup, try the paints. Now if they would just come out with a golden coloured paint...!! :)

MAC Paints are cream shadows that last forever on me. You can wear them sheerly as a wash, layer for a bit more color, or wear them as liner. I apply these most often with my fingers, but sometimes I use my trusty MAC #266 brush, always cleaning it promptly after use. My only complaint regarding paints - MAC needs more color selection! I will buy a number of these paints again and again.

These are great- IF you know what you're doing! A non-initiated person (or just a makeup beginner) could make a big mess with these! The thing to remember when using paints is that unless you want a super dramatic look, only use a very small amount. The pigment is intense so you will get a lot of color with just a little paint. Also, make sure you're using the right brush. A stiff synthetic brush will work. Paints are truly unique. No other company currently has anything like this. They're not really cream eyeshadow- the closest thing I can relate them to would be actual paint! They stay on ALL day and are shiny and pretty. The packaging sucks, though. You get one air bubble in there and watch out! Take off the cap and your paint starts flying out before you can jam the cap back on!

MAC Paint is a fool-proof eyeshadow that even I can use. I hardly ever used eye shadow prior to purchasing MAC paints. Now I have about 7 paints and I'm itching to get more. It's great as a base and as a dominant color. My personal favorites are Chartru (w/ Conrast eyeshadow); Bamboom and Canton Candy mixed together; Graphito (as a liner); Pixel; Dabble and Hot n Sour.

I really love this shadow. My favorite is Mauvism, a pretty light shimmery purple. It doesn't crease and works well as an eyeshadow base, too. It costs $15, but will last forever since a little goes a long way! I apply it with my fingers. The only problem I have with this is the packaging. It is hard to control how much comes out of the tube.
