I've been using this foundation for over half a year now and I have to say I really like it. I don't have a lot of breakouts or scars so it makes my skin look almost flawless and for the spots that I do need to really cover up, I would just use a little bit of concealer (like the user mka87 says). My favorite thing about this foundation is that it's very lightweight so I don't feel like I have pounds of makeup on my face. It evens out my skin tone while letting my skin breathe. I like to stiple it on with a foundation brush and set it with my MAC studio fix powder and it does the job when I'm not overly active. If I'm working and walking around a lot or it's a very hot day, I may need to set it again with the powder once or twice or it'll start to feel a little bit oily.

A foundation should even out skin tone; not cover all flaws (that's the concealer's job!) and this light weight formula does exactly that. For years I've worn MAC studio fix fluid, and although it photgraphs particularly well - the look isn't so natural in the flesh. After a couple of weeks rest from the Studio fix fluid I went into Bobbi Brown to have a gander at their price range and the assistant tried some foundations out on me. I know very little about my skin type (although have always assumed i'm combination/oily) - I was advised that I only needed a sheer foundation cos my skin was in good condition, and was thus, reccommended this. When I saw the finish of this in the shop I instantly bought it. On reflection I wish I'd taken a sample home first. Not because I don't like it, but because it takes a while for your skin to adapt to a new product. This one is a bit more expensive but it feels goregous on the skin - so natural and light. It melts into the skin and looks beautiful. Finally, with a bit of my Mac Mineralise Skinfinish, this lasts most of the day. It definitely doesn't last as long as the likes of Estee Lauder Double Wear or Mac Studio Fix, but at the end of the day, it's a much sheerer coverage. I can get a bit shiny looking towards the end of the day, but a bit of blotting and you're good to go. If you don't need a high coverage, this really is a lovely foundation. The BB assistant told me to stay away from matte products, go for a sheer coverage and cover any further blemishes with a concealer if necessary. I took her advice and my skin has never felt better. I'm so glad I've ditched the MAC foundation. Now my skin can breathe.

EDIT** I think this broke me out. Such a shame as the finish is so natural. It doesn't wear well but thats nothing a bit of blotting can't sort. A real shame. I will keep this for my summer holidays, and assess it again then. A real shame as this is a genuinely lovely product.

I was recommended this at the BB counter as a replacement for their now-discontinued 'Oil-free even finish foundation'. Although the finish was good on this and application was a lot less of a hassle, it broke me out (I think it has something to do with the Vitamin-C they have added to this formula). Its a shame because for the day or two I could use this, my skin looked flawless and dewy. Unlike the previous version this would last all day too. If only they could bring this one out minus the offending ingredient/s I would buy this by the truckload. Its not easy to find the oil-free anymore, even online. Alas this one had to be returned.

Like all foundations, it does what it's supposed to (even out skin tone), & they're all about fine w/ me, esp. since I only wear foundation for special occasions, shoots, etc. But for those who have stuff to cover, this is not the one for you. Rubs off on EVERYTHING, & not evenly, blotchy like. Don't scratch you nose or kiss anyone. Lasted like 2 hours. More like a watered down tinted moisturizer.
UPDATE: I initially gave this a higher rating, but after going outside - the true test of any makeup - I had to change my review. I looked at this outside before attending an important outdoor event...it's shimmery? shiny? and it's streaky even after blending & blending & blending. It is not that notable if you're going to stay inside, & it's dimly lit, like at a makeup counter, but is definitely noticeable in natural daylight. And I put some on my hand to make sure it wasn't the oils on my face producing this effect. The shimmery, streaky effect, coupled w/ the fact that it doesn't last & comes off on everything, I had to change my rating. Double Wear reigns supreme.

Smooth and easy to apply, so I am able to put on a very thin layer which makes it look a lot more natural, though it does not cover the flaw very well indeed.

I'll probably try mac after I finish this one.

First of all, I don't wear foundation every day. I use this for special occasions only (such as weddings and other functions where one might be photographed and want to look their best). My day-to-day face base is either Lumene Matte Harmony Mineral Powder Foundation in 10 Almond Cream or MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Light.
I must say that this is probably the best foundation I've ever used. I'm super pale and my skintone is very hard to match, especially with traditional liquid makeup. The salesperson tested both Alabaster and Porcelain on my face and Alabaster turned out to be a better match. I could have gotten away with Porcelain as well, but it was just a tiny bit too dark. For reference, I'm lighter than MAC NW/NC15, Lily Lolo Porcelain, Laura Mercier Oil Free TM Porcelain.
Best part of this foundation is how it makes your skin look. It doesn't look fake or makeup-ey but makes me look fresh and my skin even and luminous. This stuff photographs like a dream! To be honest I don't need a huge amount of coverage as my skin is doing pretty well at the moment. I don't have acne or uneven skin on my face, but this covers the little redness I have with a thin layer.
Application in my opinion requires a bit attention. I've tried this with a brush (a regular flat synthetic one and MAC 187) and just with my fingers and both of these methods make this foundation look horrible. The best way I've found to apply this is with a damp sponge, I get a nice thin layer, but I can build up the coverage where needed. I use this with Laura Mercier Loose Powder.
I'm probably not going to run out anytime soon since I don't use this every day, but I would repurchase even though this stuff is super expensive. I've been using make up daily for over a decade now and I have to say that Bobbi Brown has the most natural and flattering make up shades in the market. I like the pump bottle as well.

I find that this is very light and evens out my skin. However it is quite yellow and it broke me out like crazy. I have tried it several times and I always get very bad pimples around my chin and on my cheeks. I do not recommend it.

UPDATE: What worked in Barcelona's weather & climate did not translate at home. Skin sucks. It sinks into my pores making my medium sized nothing to complain about pores to size of moon craters, and it offered nowhere near enough coverage. Into the bin!

I have just switched from MUFE F&B as my HG to BB Skin. I was looking for something with a little more coverage than F&B but with similar qualities otherwise. Skin covers about 15% more than F&B and feels a touch creamier. I bought this in duty free in my way from London to Barcelna thinking I wouldn't be able to use it in that humid environment but it might work for the drier climes of Los Angeles. Wrong. Worked beautifully day and night in Barcelona. Perfect finish without powder, perfect coverage (build able over my strawberry birthmark between my eyebrows), and lasted all damn day. Without every feeling greasy or over-dewy. It has a nice thin texture (liquid not gel like F&B) and low and behold has SPF 15 something missing in the F&B. And it has a pump applicator. 1.5 pumps is the perfect amount to cover and build to conceal.

This is it. FTW.

BTW, I am #20 in F&B and Sand 2.0 in Skin. Perfect match when I have a tiny bit of color which I usually do because I exercise outside.

I love this foundation! I read from a magazine about putting on nude makeup, and this foundation is rated as one of the best products [for the nude look] by the magazine. No second thought, I went out and purchased this foundation immediately.

Honestly, I do not think this foundation has great coverage, but it gives me the dewey and flawless look whenever I put it on. That says, when my skin is on good days, great stuff to put on and it's like cherry on top; days with bad skin, I'd put a different product on, period. :)

It is sooo light weighted that I don't feel anything on, just like my second layer of skin! Now looking back at pictures I took whenever I had this foundation on, I'm amazed at how flawless my skin looks! Great stuff, and it is certainly something I'd like to keep it in my makeup drawer for that just-in-case moment.

4.5 Warm Natural for me

I have been using this for 2 years now, and it is my HG foundation.
I would describe it as medium - you can put it on thick but i think it's better sheer used with a moisturiser. In the summer I use a primer beforehand and top with powder afterwards, in the winter i mix it with a thicker moisturiser.
Lasts all day unless you sweat a lot (i have worn it with moisturiser before going on light runs though). Only holds a very sheer amount of powder before looking a bit cakey.
I have very sensitive combination skin, and it adapts to the dry patches quite well. Probably wouldn't recommend for anyone with oily skin.
