This is my favourite foundation. I originally wanted to purchase the natural finish long lasting foundation but the makeup assistant at the counter recommended this one as he noticed my skin might benefit from a more moisturizing foundation.
The main praise I have for this foundation is how skin-like it looks. The shade beige 3 is a perfect match for me (I advise you get your colour matched by the people at the counter because they are very meticulous about these things and for good reason!) I apply this every morning with a traditional flat foundation brush and then set with powder.
The only problem I may face with this foundation is the fact that it might be more difficult to maintain during the summer months when you tend to break out in a sweat (since it has a dewier finish) I have solved this problem by applying this foundation more thinly and then using more powder to set it.
Overall this foundation is definitely worth investing in.

I'm fairly new to wearing foundation, but as I've gotten older I've wanted a little more coverage than tinted moisturizers provides, but I don't like heavy foundation that I can feel on my face. BB Skin Foundation is a pretty happy medium--it feels light and soft, doesn't make my combo skin oily, and really helps even out my complexion (freckles, sun-damage) without it looking like I'm trying paint over the bad stuff--you can still tell I have freckles, thank you. It's easy to apply and blend in evenly (I just use my fingers), and a little bit goes a long way, so that's a plus.
It's not my HG (a Chanel foundation that's been discontinued), but it's pretty close. Also, I am married to BB's under eye corrector and concealer, and the Skin Foundation goes perfectly with those.

I've been wearing this for about 2 years now (although I don't wear foundation every day). I originally bought it for an event, as my daily go-to foundation is BB Extra Balm Tinted Moisturizer.
This is a light-to-medium coverage on me, as was advertised. It can be sheered out nicely when applied with a damp sponge. The only drawback to this foundation is that it isn't as dewy as I'd like it to be. It does minimize my pores quite a bit and doesn't feel like a mask on my face (although I do apply it over a rich moisturizer, as my skin is pretty dry) and covers my few freckles nicely.
I indicated that I would by this product again, but it's unlikely I will have to for a very long time, as the product has kept *very* well. I suspect it's the pump bottle that has helped with this, as there is no risk of contaminating the product with your fingers.

I have super fair skin, so the fact that this foundation (and just Bobbi Brown foundation in general) matches my skin as well as it does is reason alone for me to give it 4 stars. Seriously. This is the only brand I've found that matches my skin (besides Makeup For Ever, but only one of their formulas matches, and it's way too drying for my skin now that I'm older). I disagree with the previous reviewer on coverage. I find that it actually covers quite well. I would say that if you have really bad skin, don't expect it to cover everything, but I have average skin--redness/uneven skin tone, small pimples, etc--and I'm happy with the coverage. In fact, I've actually found recently that it has a little heavier coverage than I'd like, so now I mix it with moisturizer so it's a little more sheer. Disagreeing again with the former reviewer, I find that one pump is FAR too much product for my face, let alone the 2 or 3 pumps she talks about using! A little goes a long way, so I feel that the price is pretty justified. I'll say that I've had this for well over a year, using it not every day but often, and am not even close to halfway done with the bottle. I do agree with the former reviewer in that it can be a tad drying. I have combination skin that gets dry in the winter, and I'm finding I like it better mixed with a season-appropriate moisturizer. This keeps the foundation from making my skin look overly matte, dull, and/or flaky.

For reference: NC37 with slight yellow undertones, sensitive normal-combo oily skin (although it is now normal-dry with this harsh winter weather). Breakout prone.
I do not like heavy coverage foundations. Never could stand them, even though I have blemishes (whiteheads on my chin from bad diet, red pimples along my left cheekbone which are ALWAYS there!) and things I don't like (some freckles). I prefer light to medium. I would classify this BB skin foundation sheer to light coverage, or perhaps medium if you built up well. To give you guys a better understanding of this....if you own MAC face & body foundation - this skin foundation is sheerer than that. 1 pump of this just gets rid of any reddness I have, but nothing else. 2 pumps are needed to get better coverage. I'm not fussed about hiding blemishes though so I usually just stick to 1 layer.
I assumed this would be a very hydrating foundation, but I have to moisturise well beforehand otherwise my face looks flakey and it doesn't blend that well. However, with moisturiser on, it blends fine and doesn't look flakey. It does not leave me with a 'dewy' or 'glossy' finish - more a satin finish whilst still looking every so slightly glowy. Compareable to NARS sheer glow foundation, but with lighter coverage. I'm actually very fond of the finish it gives my skin, it's pretty and looks natural.
Lasting power seems to be bad for most reviewers, but it's fine for me. I'm a nurse and work ridiculously long shifts but this holds up through them. I'm on my feet all day, so for it to last through that is good enough for me! It does get a little bit shiny on me throughout the day though.
This foundation is designed for 'all skintypes'...I'm honestly not sure if that claim is true. I personally can see this working best for normal-combo oily. Dry skins just need to prep well by using a good moisturiser beforehand, and oily skins just need to prep with a good oil control primer or setting powder.
Colour range didn't really appeal to me. I've heard so much about BB being amazing for us ladies with yellow undertones...but the testers I tried when trying to find a match for myself in the stores weren't yellow. I ended up buying skin foundation in 4.7 WARM NATURAL and it has no yellow undertone whatsoever. It has a definate peach undertone. It's not a perfect match for me, but it's not bad. The shade up was too dark and the shade below was didn't have a good undertone either, looked a bit orange.
Price is expensive...£28 for 30ml. I wouldn't repurchase as I don't think the price is reflected in the quality of this foundation at all.

I'm with claireyfairy and have just thrown out a bottle with 9/10 of its contents left as this product caused severe cystic acne on my lower cheeks/jawline. Product as described by others is very runny with minimal coverage. I powdered to set with BB sheer powder. Wasn't impressed with the coverage and even less so with the damage it did to my skin. My skin is combination but this product didn't control oil well and looked a shiny mess after a few hours.. Definite thumbs down from me!

I must say that I am overall pleased with the match for my skin. Looks completely natural! since I am a combo chick, the shine is a little much for me, but not anything that I can't deal with. Definitely need a primer to absorb the extra oil... Also the transfer SUCKS!. Loved, loved, loved the pump! I am able to determine just how much I need w/out going overboard... As to whether or not I would purchase again, I'm a little on the fence.. I guess if I absolutely HAD to make a decision, I would say yes I would purchase again.

the best foundation ever. I have normal to dry skin type..I used this foundation with Laura Mercier foundation primer and chanel loose powder..the make up can last for 6-8 hours...pretty happy with the result. sheer coverage is what I need, just like no make up on my face with this routine

I like sheer, easy to blend foundations, plus I am, like most girls, an absolute manic when it comes to color matching. I don't normally wear foundation, but this past week I've been reaching for this everyday to work. Now, I work in an air conditioned building all day, so that's fine. But I live in the tropics, so I wouldnt try wearing this outdoors E-V-E-R.
This might suit normal to dry skin girls more, since it can be a tad "luminous" on combination skin like mine (nothing a dusting of setting powder won't fix though). The effect is lovely, like you skin but better. It def doesn't hide scars or discoloration though, so don't expect that. A very sheer foundation that just even out your skin tone and gives you a nice matte glow. Took 2 lippies off for the price, but gave one back coz of Bobbi's amazing color match :)
Update: After reading a review that a MA suggested wearing this without powder for the full "skin" effect, I tried that today. Its noon here (about 4+ hours of wear) and my combi skin still looks fresh, and my blush and bronzer did not form streaks despite the lack of powder. LOVE LOVE LOVE :)
** UPDATE **
Can I give this 4.5 stars? Once my skin calmed down and is now more combo than oily, this foundation was like buttah. Not as in greasy, but as in effortless and perfect. All I need is a touch of blot paper after lunch, and it looks fresh all the way through dinner. HG candidate for sure, but I wanna try Chanel's Vita Lumiere Aqua after this to compare.

This foundation i always seem to fall back on.
I seem to have this idea in my head that i can find something better, so im always searching, but when i find i cant and need something to wear for the day i ALWAYS pick my bobbi brown. its like my sister, i feel i can always rely on it for sure!
i have combination skin and this foundation stays put for maybe three hours but then i do find i need to touch up after then in bits.
I do love this foundation and think it'll be in my collection til the end of time, alabaster is the only pale foundation i can find that matches my skin perfectly! I love bobbi brown and i do recommend this product for people with normal skin. who wants their skin to look like their skin, only better :)
