This is my HG foundation so far! I discovered this a few weeks ago through here and I then ran out to buy it. I wear this in Sand Beige in the Normal to Dry skin formula. I have horrible acne scars and hyperpigmentation on my chin. This foundation makes my skin look almost flawless with just one thin layer. I then dab on a bit of concealer and then my skin does look flawless! Not only do I look great in photos, I also look great close-up (I've actually looked closely into the mirror to check my skin out). This can be great as a high-definition foundation. The finish is not too matte (but it's not shimmery or semi-matte), and when I spread a bit of foundation on my hand and looked closely at it, I noticed a little shimmer (very little, and you don't notice it when the foundation is on your face). This is GREAT because the finish doesn't make the face look too flat or dull.
I've used this for three weeks so far and it hasn't made me break out.
**Please scroll down and look at my tips for applying this foundation. I think they'll be helpful!**
PROS:
~medium to heavy coverage, EXCELLENT for people with acne scars and hyperpigmentation
~coverage is also natural-looking and doesn't feel heavy
~the foundation is long-lasting and still looks fresh at the end of the day
~doesn't dry out skin
~formula is creamy and smooth, easy to spread out with foundation brush or stippling brush
~there are plenty of shades to choose from
~price is relatively affordable for the quality and amount of product in bottle
CONS:
~the bottle definitely needs a pump!!!
~the shades tend to have more of a pinky undertone, may be hard to find your shade if you have more yellow undertones
(I do have yellow undertones and was lucky to find a match with Sand Beige. This one has the least pinky undertones out of all the beiges.)
TIPS:
***Pour the foundation into an empty powder pan (I personally use an empty E.L.F. pressed powder pan) / palette / glass tray. I find that empty powder pans are great because you can close it and save the extra foundation when there is extra left after you finish applying.
***LESS is more!! This is true especially for this foundation, it's very pigmented. I messed up the first time and applied too much, and I hated the cakey-looking coverage.
***For those of you who find this foundation (or any foundation, for that matter) drying or making your skin look flaky, put a drop or two of CAMELLIA OIL or JOJOBA OIL in the foundation (after you have poured it out) and mix it with the foundation to get SMOOTH, MOISTURIZING, and FLAWLESS coverage. Another benefit of doing this is that it thins out the foundation, for those of you who find the product to be too thick or hard to blend. I SWEAR BY THIS METHOD!!
***This foundation EASILY COMES OFF with Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving wipes. I can also easily get it off of my brush.
I hope these tips helped you! This is seriously an excellent foundation, drugstore or not.

Oiii, the lack of a pump . . . causes too much makeup to slide out and makes the cap area messy, too. The overall appearance, eh, not bad, a little boring though. But, isn't it similar to Mac's Studio Fix? Smart, Revlon, smart.
Anywayyy, good makeup, if not, better than quite a few more expensive products. The consistency is rather, uh, flowy? - not so much creamier. So, it dries rather quickly. When applying, it's better to work in sections. Oh, and I don't feel it on my face, but the coverage is on the medium side. However, I still top it off with powder makeup to achieve the oh so flawless face. With the medium coverage, a little goes a long way; too much and people can definitely tell you're wearing makeup. It lasts through a whole eight-hour school day and, typically, doesn't break me out. But, man, is it hard to wash off. Overall, thumbs up, it's a good catch.

This is a wonderful product that beats more expensive brands. I have combi skin and got Nude for normal/oily skin. Despite reviews that it's thick, I had NO problems applying and blending this using my elf foundation brush. It never caked over the day, did not settle in fine lines, had great coverage and was transfer resistant. Best of all, this foundation made my skin poreless and flawless. No foundation has ever had this effect on me. Next, I thought removal was going to be a nightmare but this foundation all came off with my normal routine of cleansing oil and facial cleanser. I'm thrilled by this find. My HG foundation!

I like this foundation a lot better than MAC Studio Fix Fluid. There are more colors to choose from and it's not as thick, but I feel like it covers just as well. It definitely stays on longer than MAC SFF. I am a NC30 at MAC (even though that shade is a bit too dark for me) but I love Golden Beige from Revlon. It matches perfectly! The only complaint is the packaging. I waste too much product when I'm trying to dispense it. I wish it came with a pump or something!

I absolutely love this foundation! I wear this every day because my skin is so horrible from acne scars, redness, and under eye circles that I'm too embarrassed to go out in public with no makeup on. I have been using this for 4 or 5 years now and have strayed occasionally getting bored with it, but NOTHING I have tried compares, and I have tried almost every foundation I could find that claims to have staying power. I have oily skin and normally makeup would slide off my skin in a few hours, but this stuff stays put until I take it off. I've worn it a full 24 hours and it still looked great. If you have oily skin be sure to get the one for combo/oily skin, because I have accidentally bought the one for normal/dry skin and there was a HUGE difference. It definitely did not control my oil like the other one does fabulously. During the summer I only have to blot my face once after wearing it for around 6 hours, and in the winter I don't have to at all.
I am SUPER pale (I can only buy powder in translucent- it matches my skin exactly lol!) and while the lightest shade Ivory is a tad too dark for me, it isn't noticeable especially when I put lighter powder over it to set it.
It gives great coverage too. Like i said, I have some skin issues and this makes my skin look flawless. I get compliments all the time on how I have such beautiful skin (if only they knew!)
Overall I am completely in love with this makeup. I am still amazed at how long it lasts- I live in East Texas where it is VERY humid and no matter how much I sweat it doesn't budge. It is a bit tricky to remove, but I just buy makeup removing cloths and use those before I wash my face at night and there are no traces left. Definitely my HG!!

so i bought the fondation today after weeks of comtemplating and doing my research online about it and all i've read for the most part is really great reviews. on youtube all the gurus are raving about this foundation saying its a dupe of MAC studio fix fluid and being on a budget and a student i figured what the heck i'll give it a shot. My usual foundation is CoverGiirls classic foundation from there Clean line in Buff Beige im around an NC30-35 so i got the shade medium beige it was very similar to sand beige but i got this one instead. i was really hoping it would be amazing but its okay. it dries way too fast and here in Canada it was kind of pricy around 15 bucks and wal-mart :o. i can get an even tone but its hard to blend. im gonna try it out again tomorrow. i hear its a pain to take off thought i'll keep u ladies posted (K)

I have spent years & years looking for my HG foundation. I tried every drugstore brand & high end brand, you name it. They either made me break out, made my oily skin even oilier, melted off by day's end or sank into my pores & lines by noon. Just couldn't get it right. For a couple years, I stuck with Bare Minerals because it was the best of all I had tried. However, I struggled with the color match & always had to use a bronzer to avoid looking ashy & never loved how it crept into my lines & didn't look as fresh at the end of the day. After reading tons of reviews, I decided to go back to liquid foundation & give Revlon's Colorstay a try. Not only was the price attractive, but the array of color choices was superb. I'm NC 30/35 & found my perfect in Revlon's Golden Beige. I absolutely LOVE this foundation. It does not break out my skin at all & since I bought the one for combo/oily skin, it keeps my face looking beautifully fresh & matte all day long. My blush doesn't even fade when i have this on. My co-workers can't believe my makeup looks the same at 5:00 as it did when I arrived in the morning. This is what I was always looking for & it was right around the corner at my neighborhood drugstore. I have no issues washing this off my face completely at night and it does not feel heavy on my skin one bit. Some people don't even think I am wearing foundation. The coverage is unbelievable as it makes my acne scars invisible unless you are 2" from my face. i can't say enough good things about this foundation. I will truly purchase it again & can only hope that many other women/men can find the happiness and relief in finding this foundation as i did.

I really like this foundation. I have used all types of foundation ranging from ds to dp. I feel that this gives me an great coverage for a price that wont hurt my pocket. I have been using this for about a month now and it has not given me any break outs. I use benefit concealer with it and set it with cover fx powder ( the matte one ). I am addicted to blush and so for a foundation to work for me I need it to help me with my blush as well and this does it. My blush does stay on all day long with out fail. I can even use my cheap blush ( jane BTW it is great ) and it looks good all day long.

I've been using the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC35 for 2 1/2 years now and lately I've found that the prices were just getting to be too much for me. So I purchased this in Golden Beige hoping to find a cheaper alternative... The second I put this on it felt extremely thick, almost mask-like. It was also tough to wash from my makeup brushes, remove from my face, and it even stained my bathroom sink! =[ And like a lot of other yellow-toned people have said, this shade was WAY too pink-toned for me. If you have strong yellow undertones like I do, I definitely don't recommend this. I really really wanted to love this foundation but I just couldn't, especially when it broke me out all over my chin. I have pretty normal skin for the most part and have never had a breakout at all, so it really turned me off of it. Other than that, it really does give good coverage, but is not worth the gross, itching feeling on your face... I personally think there are much better products out there, but just because it didn't work on my skin doesn't mean it wouldn't work on someone else's.
EDIT: My skin is STILL recovering from all the break outs. I really hate this stuff and definitely won't ever be using this again!!

A great drugstore foundation! Revlon is the king of drugstore foundations. I use the combo/oily skin formula and it gives a nice matte finish. For reference I am a NC35 for MAC so I'm switching between 300 Golden Beige and 310 Warm Golden. It's thick and actually has a funny smell but it's gone once it dries. I will repurchase once I run out, unless I find something better and just as everybody else, I wish this had a pump!!!

This is the best drugstore foundation! And it comes in a color light enough for me.. so rare. Lightest shade, Ivory, looks very natural on me. Nice texture, application and staying power. I prefer my skunk brush for this rather than the blue peep just because I forgot to wash it out of the peep one day and it would NOT come out! Talk about Colorstay..
Would prefer a pump for this as I always seem to pour out too much.

I have tried lots of foundations & this is my HG. I am blonde with yellow & pink tones and I use Sand Beige in the oily combination formula. It stays on til u take it off. I use a Oil of Olay towelette to remove it. Sometimes I use the Colorstay Active Light makeup in the same shade. I try other foundations, but always come back to this. I am going to quit wasting my money (because of the recession) by trying other foundations & stick with this great product.

I have not used liquid foundation in over 5 years. I have been using Bareminerals and realized that the formula has recently changed. So, I wanted to try something new. I found a lot of positive reviews about this foundation on Youtube and decided to try it. After trying it out, I absolutely love it. It is not greasy, it blends well if you move quickly and the color and consistency lasts all day even in 100 degree weather. I do not use a powder. I have no need for it. I use the color "Natural Beige". The coverage is medium to fullcoverage. It dries very quickly, so you should only do one section of your face at a time. I apply with a makeup sponge. Be sure to wash your face very well. This stuff is a bit hard to get off. I will definitely repurchase this product.I use Neutrogena makeup remover cloths and follow up with my Clarisonic Mia 2 and Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser (10% benzoyl peroxide). I do not breakout with this foundation and cleansing routine.
Note: Photo 1 is of the old version which I did not like. Revlon colorstay is on it's third version and I hope it does not change again. I will add a current photo.

like other foundation, dosent feel like a mask.but it is kind of sticky

I<3 this foundation it was the answer to my prayers. i have combination skin and i get acne and dry skin in random patches on my face but i find that this foundation only needs a good moisturizer underneath it no primer ans no powder ot set it! you can get very full coverage with a brush but the most natural coverage with your fingers. i have alot of scarring and adult acne and this covers them very well. my only issue with this is the spf (without bronzer you can look chalky in several low quality camera flashes) and the bottle is kind of hard to maneuver because of the small mouth and no pump. i hear the mac pump fits this but correct me if i'm wrong.

looks professional.. probably is but i dont like it much.
its got a wide colour range for dry/normal skin AND for combo/oily skin. thats good, but its a bit pink based, so it didnt suit my skin colour at all. at the department store it looked nice, but when i bought it and put it on at home, it made me look either pale, or pink (i have 2 shades as it was buy 1 get 1 free). i dunno.. looked wrong on me

I really liked this product at first. It gave me great coverage and made me look fresh...The only problem with it was that it would not come off easily - even after washing my face more than once! I tried a few mild makeup removers but it would create a burning sensation. This foundation clogged my pores and I had a really bad break out after a few weeks of using it. My skin continued to break out for a few weeks after I stopped using it, probably due to all the cloggin it had done...If it were easier to wash off, then it would have been perfect!

***Lovelies, when reading the reviews check the date of the review because Revlon Colourstay has gone through a number of transformations. Right now I'm using the third formulation I've tried and it's great. The first one about ten years ago would dry very very fast upon application and was quite difficult to blend. Later Revlon decided to go quite creamy (offered in the pump version). Now I find the formulation is a mix between the last two I tried. Just thought I would point this out :)***
For me the positives definitely outweigh the negatives of this foundation. I have used this for the past couple of years and I've tried three shades: buff, sand beige and nude. I'm an NC30 for reference.
I love the medium buildable coverage this gives me. It's also able to do this without feeling heavy on my face - it actually has a very light feel to it which I love (well, who likes to "feel" makeup on their face?). Also, this foundation stays on all day. I don't need any touch ups whatsoever. I do set the foundation with some powder (MAC usually) and I don't feel the need to use my MUFE concealer on a daily basis because my skin is not so acne prone or red.
Oh, some ladies suggested a pump would be good - yes it would be good to have a pump since sometimes you get too much when pouring this out of the glass bottle. Actually, about five to seven years ago there was a short period when Revlon Colourstay foundation did have a pump on top of the glass bottle; however the formula was a bit more creamy and runnier back then. Perhaps as some other women mentioned, this formula might dry up in the pump thus clogging it. But with the old creamier formula my pump was not clogged....but I prefer this formula more than the older creamier formula. But I must say, the glass bottle is very thick which is a good thing because I've dropped it a number of times and it hasn't cracked or broken *yet*.
Yes, this foundation does set/dry on your skin rather quickly. Not quite as quickly as the formulation did maybe ten years ago (when I was in high school the formulation literally dried within a minute). I would say you still have about 3-5 full minutes and then it'll set dry. If that's not enough time for you to do your whole face, don't stress - just work in smaller amounts (start with half or a part of your face and finish that before spreading it out to other parts of your face). That being said, what I hate the most are "creamy" foundations that "slide" off your face....just the thought of it is gross and Revlon Colourstay has never done that. It's too dry to feel creamy or slide once it's set.
SO, what don't I like about it? Okay, if only Revlon Colourstay made 2-3 shades with yellow undertones in it, then it would be PERFECT. Right now the sand beige mixed with buff works for my NC30 skin - what I mean by works is that it's not blaringly incorrect. HOWEVER, because the sand beige has such a pink undertone to it, I must bronze my neck (with some pinkish tone to it) or put some of the foundation on my neck. I can't just put sand beige on my face and walk outside - it would be obvious that the skin on my face is slightly too pinkish for the yellow tones in my neck. I do use a crap load of bronzer on my face/neck so it's okay....but I don't always want to have to feel obligated to bronze my neck to match my foundation on my face! (especially when I'm wearing a white or light collared shirt - bronzer on that is just terrible).
So I'm out to buy my first MAC foundation this week or next week to compare how it works to Revlon. I'm eyeing studio fix fluid or studio sculpt at this point. I know the colour of the MAC foundation is better for me but I'll have to write a review later about the consistency/texture/etc...
