I've tried A LOT of foundations, including some of the more popular HE ones, but Revlon ColorStay has performed the best on my skin. I use the one for Combination/Oily skin, and it really does last all day and doesn't get shiny nearly as fast as most others I've used. There is a pretty wide color selection, so I was able to find a light and warm shade that didn't look awful on my skin. I don't really like the smell, and I hate that it doesn't come with a pump, but as this is an affordable foundation that really works for me, I can overlook those shortcomings!
I typically apply this with either my SK skunk brush (MAC 287 dupe) or simply with my fingers. Either way, I get good, even coverage. This does need to be blended quickly, or it can dry in a streaky way. I've used a variety of pressed and loose powders in conjunction with this foundation, and I can't really say I've found one that works particularly better. This foundation seems to play well with others!

I loveeee this foundation, i've been using it for about 4 months now and its great. I have big pores and black heads plus a red/oily t-zone. This covers up the black heads and most of the redness, at the end of the day theres some shine but i can deal with that. It doesn't make my pores look any smaller, im still trying to find a foundation that can do that for me. Plus it doesn't look cakey if you blend it well and it looks very natural.
The bad part is when using my brush it doesn't blend well, i mainly just use my brush for my t-zone and that looks fine. For the rest of my face i use a sponge which gives perfect coverage. Also the packaging and the smell. But i can get over all that because i really do like the foundation, it hasn't made me break out or anything which i really like. I'm going to keep using it for sure, but will probably put it aside when i take a trip to the beach. I dont know if it can cover my shine and redness in the 90's.

Have been using this off and on for 2 months. MAC NC50 for reference. Got this in Caramel, which is a little too yellow for me...Cappuccino would probably be a better match. I got the formula suited for combination/oily skin. I love the SoftFlex in the foundation because of the subtle illuminosity it gives to my skin. I like that this is light to medium coverage. Can be buildable. It definitely looks natural on me, not overly made up. Stays on amazingly long without a primer. I have two issues with this product. First is that it comes with no pump! I pour the foundation onto the back of my hand and apply it with a foundation brush, but a pump would give me better control of usage. Second is that there is no SPF in the darker shades. Not sure where Revlon gets off thinking that darker skin tones do not need coverage from the sun, but thank goodness that I wear a moisturizer with SPF in it.

This is my HG foundation. :)
I've tried MAC's studio fix fluid.. I hated it, it made me look cakey and it felt cakey.. and made me look too yellow. I used to use Estee Lauder's double wear... it was great, but it was expensive and it dried out my skin. Then I got this...
and it is absolutely AMAZING! Applies on very easily, and does not make my skin dry at all. I got this in Sand Beige (NC 30). The only downside to this product is that it has only a twist cap, and not a pump. I would definitely purchase this again. :) Easy on my wallet and face for sure!

My HG! Finally I found THE perfect foundation for me. I have this in Sand Beige (equivalent to MAC NC30) in Combination/Oily formula. I have sensitive, somewhat acne prone skin (which is really oily in the summer and really dry in the winter months). I used the Almay Clear Complexion line and thought I found my HG, but no (read my review on it to see why). This foundation doesn't melt on my face and doesn't move at all. It's transfer resistant, and the first time I wore it, it lasted for a good 10 hours on me. Plus, it didn't break me out! I am very pleased.
A lot of people are complaining about the packaging, saying that it's really hard to get the product out. Since I apply liquid foundation with a large cosmetic sponge (the one that you purchase at The Body Shop), the packaging isn't really a problem for me. I just place the mouth on the sponge (seal the mouth with the flat surface of the sponge so you don't spill it), tip it over then back, and I get the perfect amount of product. Stippling does give me that airbrushed look, but it just looks and feels too heavy for me and it's too much of a hassle, especially in the morning. So I prefer applying this with a makeup sponge. I find that it's way quicker and easier to blend.
I will definitely repurchase!
Update:
I recently purchased Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder in Sand and oh my god!!! They are perfect together!

I have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. I usually use MAC Studio Fix and this is said to be a dupe for it but I don't think thats true. They both give full coverage, which I like, but the Colorstay is more liquidy. It also made my skin look a little muddy and wore off after a while but it is a good alternative if yo don't feel like spending the money on MAC. I apply it with a flat top brush blending in small circles and it gives an airbrush finish. Packaging is terrible though. Its messy and hard to get out.
**UPDATE*** 2 years later and I'm loving this product. I use the Combination/Oily formula now and it is much better!! I reach for this everyday and it makes my skin flawless. I've repurchased 3 times already. I still love Studio Fix Fluid but this is great for daytime use.
**UPDATE** 3 years later and this is my favorite foundation!! I haven't used my old favorite (Studio Fix) in about half a year. This is all I use with a dense brush, topped with Rimmel Stay Matte powder. It lasts ALL day and makes my skin look flawless. No concealer needed. I feel like this foundation blends into my skin, while Studio Fix just sits on top. I will always repurchase this! Still wish it had a pump but for the price I can't complain! :)

I have to say, at FIRST, i did NOT like this product...at ALL. The color was all wrong for me (I randomly just picked up Sand Beige but I am a NC20 skintone & it was way too dark ) and i hated how there was no pump!! Since it is summer now, my other MAC mineralize satinfinish was too light so I started to mix the revlon in with my MAC. OH MY GOSH! It did WONDERS! I tried many applications and I found that applying with my hands created such a pretty airbrushed look! Usually I would apply my foundation with my MAC 187 but I found that if I apply it with that, it tends to look too cakey and leave streaks. The price of this (in canada) was a bit pricey though... it was $17 at superstore so the next time I go to the states, I'll pick up some there. It's definatley worth a try though!

For the price, this is a great foundation. Not as good as MUFE, but this is the one I use daily because of the long-wearing properties. I can put it on in the morning, go to a theme park, go swimming, come home and still have full coverage. It covers really well and doesn't oxidize on the skin.
My only complaints are as follows: the color selection is big, but even the lightest shades tend to have this weird orange undertone (though once I use a finishing powder, this is no longer noticeable.) I'm also a little annoyed by the fact that I can't use more than one layer of powder over top of this without it beginning to oxidize and form weird smears on my face. I don't want to have to choose either contouring, blush or a finishing powder, I should be able to do all of these! :( OH and I really hate that it doesn't come with a damn pump, nor do any other pumps fit over it., It's hard to control the amount of product that comes out.
Overall, I'll definitely be purchasing this again as my daily foundation and I'll make up for the negative aspects in other ways.

Oh yikes...Sorry ladies, can't do it. This foundation was very unnatural looking and felt heavy/masky. I had only stippled on a pea sized amount with my Mac 188 and still felt like my skin couldn't breathe. At first I thought it looked fine indoors but once out in the light? Not so good. Kinda stinks too because the color match was awesome (I am NW20 and purchased Colorstay in Natural Beige)..This will promptly be going back to Walgreens and I believe I will go back to HE foundations, next on the "try" list is YSL Radiant Touch.

EDIT: After a few weeks I've realized this is causing me to break out in little whiteheads on my chin, cheeks, and forehead (and I never break out on my cheeks or forehead). Strange, because foundations rarely cause me to break out - even MAC doesn't break me out. Maybe I will save this for days when I'm swimming or something, but I don't think my skin can take it as an everyday foundation. I also realized it's not quite as pliable, if that makes sense, as studio fix fluid or mat velvet. My upper cheeks below my eyes look wrinkly in close up pictures because of the way the foundation sits on the skin when I smile. I'm 25, I shouldn't (and in reality don't!) have wrinkles there yet!
I find this very comparable to MAC studio fix fluid and Make Up For Ever mat velvet (both of which I've used and loved) though it's not quite as natural looking. I also love that it doesn't transfer or rub off when you hug someone or touch your face, which is a problem I've had with a lot of foundations. I'm around NC25/30 in MAC and have Colorstay in Golden Beige and Sand Beige. Golden Beige is good right now in summer and Sand Beige is a good match when I am paler in winter. The undertones for both seem to be fairly neutral. This covers all my imperfections (redness, acne scars, undereye circles and blemishes) without the need for a concealer. As far as it being difficult to remove, I followed my regular routine of Boot's 4 in 1 wipes, cleanser, and toner at night and it comes off fine. It's worth it for the staying power during the day.

I love this! its totalli my HG product....i dont usually wear foundation....but when i do i want something that will give me medium to high coverage nd will last for a while....which this does....i like to use it as a concealer too...the coverage is enuf and is easily buildable...i have the colour true beige which is prolli the closest thing i have ever found to my skintone.....no funny smell...jus good stuff :-) i gave it 4 out of 5 because as much as i love the expensive look of the glass bottle...i wud prefer a pump....i always end up gettin more product than usual...but its not that big of a deal....i like to work on one area at a time nd blend with my fingers as it dries quickly....overall....definatly give it a go....its value for money!

I really like this foundation. I thought the MAC Studio fix would be my HG, but it didn't control my oil. It looked beautiful when I applied it, but within a couple hours at work, my face was an oil slick. All I do is file, files all day, so, that' s pretty poor staying power. I bought two colors of this, I was afraid one would be too light, and I could just mix it with the darker one. Well I tried the lighter one on my face by itself and it matched perfectly, it's 360 Golden Carmel for Combanation/Oily skin. I left for about 2 hours walking around in heavy clothes in the heat, and it has not slicked off my face. And my skin looks almost flawless. Which is great, because I have many acne scars, and skin rednesss. I apply Studio Fix concealer, then the foundation with the MAC 190 (Switching to the 187 soon), I make sure to blend, blend, blend, and than I apply Laura Mercier setting powder. Works great. Oh, and like everyone else, I really wish this had a pump. Even though it doesn't though, I will continue buying it.

I would not buy this product again. First, the packaging is a hassle because it does not come with a pump and you cannot buy a pump seperatley for it. My mac pumps dont fit on it either. So you have to pour it out slowly, and I always seem to get too much. The formula is quite thick as well. I does cover pimples and uneven skin tone, but it leaves a masky finish. It does not look natural at all. The foundation cakes around the sides of my nose and pimples. It also look extremley unnatractive over large pores. The color, i believe the lightest one was a weird tone. i think the color changed as the day progressed as well. It also broke me out. Over all I really did not like this product. I wouldnt recommend it.

Pros: - bottle looks a little small, but all you need is a little bit.
- it does last a long time on your face.
- gives a smooth look if you use a flat top or duo fiber (stippling) brush.
Cons: -It can be cakey if you don't blend well, or if you use a foundation brush. but if you blend it out with a sponge, it looks great.
I heard alot of people raving about this product so i decided to give it a try. it's $13.99 at walgreens, but if you're lucky, it's buy one get one free. make sure you get the right one for your skin type though. BUT, heres the trick, my skin isn't combination or oily, but i got that one anyways because of summer. i tend to swear on my forehead because of my side swept bangs. so i got the combination oily one. but if it's winter, i'll repurchase normal/dry skin one.
overall, i think this is a great foundation and is VERY comparable to MAC's foundation. except ALOT cheaper. and isn't as cakey as MAC's

At first when I tried this product after reading the reviews here, it really was miraculous! It covered my pores and from far make my skin looked flawless and smooth altho if u noticed up close, the scars and more obvious acne can still be observed but this is a good improvement than all others I have tried already!!
I have never been a liquid foundation person but I jumped on the bandwagon after reading reviews. However, a few months into using this, my makeup started to get cakey and it settled into my pores. I am not sure whether it is the nature of my skin because the first few months, it was wonderful but it got so bad at one point, EVERYBODY was pointing or saying something about my makeup (with this foundation on).
I used this with a MAC 187 brush so I think all the stipling should have worked wonders (as of before) but I am not sure what went wrong, will not use this anymore and will not repurchase. On for the search of my HG powder foundation.

I wanted a good coverage foundation for a big wedding I was in as well as something i could use as a light application on a daily basis. I was NOT ready to buy something with oil or anything that would make my problematic skin worse. I am a very long time Revlon product user and just wanted something else. I used the liquid foundation, then used the powder foundation for a couple of years with the colorstay powder. The powder foundation makes my skin look so cakey. And completely wears off by the end of the day. I tried the big brands such as Clinique, but wasn't at all impressed with the results. I had bought the normal/combo colorstay (by mistake) and I've had this in my drawer for 3 or 4 months before giving it a try, and to my surprise it wasn't too bad at all.
I read good reviews here and decided to stick with this. I went and bought the right one, Oily/combo and it stayed on the whole day and I wasn't as oily as I was with their other products. I set this powder with the Maybelline shine-free loose powder, because Revlon doesn't have one, and it does wonders! I was initially applying it with fingers because my brushes were all stuffed somewhere (i know...) but I bought a sonia kashuk highlighting brush (dupe for Mac187) after hearing great reviews on it and it blends in really well. I do NOT like a lot of foundation or makeup on my face and this is great for a light application and for heavy as well. You just have to work on building up the foundation. I also use the benefit medium full coverage concealer for on the spot treatments and that blends in with the foundation.
If someone doesn't want to spend so much money on expensive foundations, this is really good. A nice brush does make a world of a difference. It provides very nice coverage and fills in the large pores and acne marks. This doesn't break me out, none of their products break me out. I just wish it came with a pump! I sometimes pour too much. For now this is my HG foundation, but of course, I will keep an eye out for something better. Other than that, I think it's a good company and is doing what it says.

I've been looking for a great full coverage foundation that didn't look cakey or feel heavy on my skin for quite some time, and i finally found it in this foundation!
When I have this on my skin, I can barely even feel it. The last foundation I used, I couldn't wait to get home from work everyday to wash it off because it felt and looked terrible by the end of the day. With this foundation, I look almost the same at the end of the day as I do just after I put this on. I really do love it.
I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who has oily skin! My skin is so oily in the summer months, and this foundation stays on all day!
The only aspect of this foundation I am not crazy about is the packaging. I have always avoided these types of bottles, but I heard so many good things about this foundation that I decided to try it anyway.
Personally, I like to pour a little bit of foundation out and apply it with a brush; however, this packaging makes the process so messy, and I end up wasting quite a bit of product. So for now I am using my hands to apply it even though I would much rather use a brush. Many reviewers have said this foundation should have a pump, and I agree 100%.

So I bought this product yesterday (in Medium Beige) after all the great reviews I had read.. and I must say I'm quite impressed with it. I unfortunatly have a discolored scar on my cheek from car accident.. and I've tried literally everything and nothing seems to stay on the scar and even out the color but this really seems to work. It went on light and smooth, and really blended the discoloration on my cheek.
I'm very happy with this product but was slightly disappointed with the packaging.. it pours out of the bottle making it a little messy.. wish it had a pump. It is also kind of pricey for a drug store brand. But other than those two things, I LOVE IT!

I was breaking out because of stress and mineral makeup usage so my trusted tinted moisturizer (which I use in summer because of the SPF) was just not doing it for me so after trying numerous foundations this one definitely stood out above the rest. I actually only use a very small bit and mix it with my tinted moisturizer to achieve a very natural look. I use buff 150 for oily/combination skin and I am very pleased with the results because this does not clog my pores or break me out as my mineral foundation has -- I now have nearly flawless skin even without makeup. I will definitely repurchase this long lasting foundation.
