I bought this at Sally's Beauty for $7.50 after hearing and seeing nothing but great things from this product. I bought this in Blush and in my favorite scent, Tropical. Blush kind of reminds me of the knock-off perfumes that come in these same exact looking bottles, but smaller. [if that makes ANY sense...] It's floraly, but has hints of other stuff that I can't put my finger on. Tropical smells like cocoa butter, tanning lotion goodness. It smells like a deoderant I had from Secret [KuKu Coconut?]. The scents do seem to fade over time [or I get used to them.] which is fine with me. I did try to work with this on greasy hair and expected it to work right then and there but it didn't for me. It made my hair look worse and ashy. It was awful. I ended up going to bed angry that I wasted money I didn't really have in the first place and waking up to my hair not feeling greasy at all. I like this product but paying seven to eight bucks a bottle that maybe won't even last a month is expensive to me and a lot of other people on a budget. I'll see how this product keeps on working for me and how long it lasts before I know I'll purchase it again.

Edit 04.13.2010
I have repurchased and honestly this stuff has not worked out for me in the long run. A lot of different dry shampoo methods haven't worked for me, so it's not really the product itself, but the concept.

I have finally found the right dry shampoo! I've tried baby powder (too cakey), cornstarch baby powder (it's alright in a pinch), Oscar Blandi Pronto (decent but too pricey) and Pssst (has too much silicone or oil in it so it defeats the purpose of dry shampooing). I thought this would be the same as Pssst but it's so much better. I have light brown/dark blonde hair and other dry shampoos always made my hair look a bit grey and dull. This stuff brings out the blonde in my hair and adds a lot of volume. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn't last very long. It's about $6-$7 at Sally so it's affordable but I've had it less than a month and need to repurchase it soon.

Edit: I originally gave this 5 lippies but I have since changed it to 4. It's still the best dry shampoo I have found but it (as well as the others) give my hair so much tiny, little, powdery flakes! I wish a good, non-powdery dry shampoo existed.

This is a great, cheap, dry shampoo. It leaves a white residue- but believe it or not, the residue actually looks good on blonde hair! I can't speak for other haircolors. However I cannot STAND the smell, for some reason it gives me an instant migraine. I hear it comes in other scents now so I may give it another go sometime. Overall, a good product unless you are sensitive to scents.

Every time I've purchased this, the sprayer has clogged, rendering the product useless. I've used it to save time, so when it has become clogged, the last thing I have time for is taking the time to unclog it. Also, it shouldn't be something that needs to be done anyway when you are paying for a product that is supposed to save time!
When my mother-in-law went into the hospital for a big surgery, I got this product for her and helped her use it since she wasn't able to wash her hair for awhile. It worked very well for her and her needs.
Overall, this really is a good product with some packaging flaws (or I've just ended up with a few lemons!).

Another great, time saving product that works. I make sure to spray on roots only then I brush it through my long hair & looks freshly washed! Plus shine.....there's shine to boot. Can be had from Shoppers.

Love it. My favourite dry shampoo. I am also super lazy about washing my hair, and I have bangs. So it really shows when I don't shower.
I spray this at my roots all over. Leave on for a couple minutes to allow it to absorb the oil, and then brush out. I like to use my boar bristle brush because it really grabs ahold of the powder. But you could even use your fingers, it just flakes right out and takes the grease with it!! That's my favourite part, that there is NO RESIDUE!!!
It's great when my bangs get greasy halfway through the day. I just spray, shake out.
It has a weird lemony scent, but it fades so quickly it doesn't even matter.

I wasn't sure of this at first because I wasn't sure how good it was going to be, and if I left it untill trying it out in the morning before work then I be buggered basically.

But for a change I used my noggin' and tried it out before I had my shower in the evening, and since then I have loved it!

It's a life saver. When it comes to washing my hair I am lazy. I plan to shower in the evening and before you know it's 10 o'clock and time for bed, and I am for sure not a morning person!

This is awesome for giving me a extra day worth of clean hair. Spray it on the roots, work in and brush out. It also gives my hair added volume and makes it look as though I have just washed it, which it another great advantage!

With it being a spray I an more confident using this than anything I would need to put into my hands and work in.

As for the packaging, it's like a tin of hair spray! You couldn't get any better!

I've tried a number of dry shampoos and this is the best so far.

Oscar Blandi was too intense a smell (and a long-lasting one) and more importantly, I could never be sure I'd rubbed all the powder in. On dark hair, this is a concern!

Ojon-- tried three bottles, and all three clogged up after 2-3 uses. After two exchanges at Sephora, I gave up. Also, the smell was super musty and reminded me of mothballs. NOT a good combination when dry shampoos are dulling anyway.

Batiste- awful smell disappears very quickly. I've found no reason to brush it out--- simply scrunching after spraying all over my roots and a little further down my scalp seems to distribute the product sufficiently so that there's no residue. This works well to mop up oil but I find the volumizing effect to be quite minimal/short-lived.

So far, a quick scalp wash in the sink and blow-dry is still the best option for fresh hair. But the Batiste is the best dry shampoo I've tried as an alternative to that process.

Have yet to try Klorane or Psst.

I have to wash my hair everyday. and as i wear extensions its not always possible as my hair takes about 45 mins to dry and then straighten, plus they fall out if they get wet 2 much, so i got this 2 use on my extentions n it works a miracle..leaves my hair bouncy n feelin and smelling clean.

I am one of the few who are disappointed with this product. This dry shampoo does help with my greasiness. After using Klorane before switching to this cheaper counter part, I still prefer the Klorane. The difference between the two, is when I use Batiste, it does not get rid of all the greasiness, nor does it re-volumize my hair the way klorane does. Instead my hair looks flat and all the shine in my hair is gone making it appear ashy and unhealthy. Furthermore, you can only get up to 4 weeks- and that is if you are really careful with how you use this product, because it runs out quickly. I suspect it is mostly due to me have longer hair (a few inches past my shoulders).

The only real plus to this product is that it is half the price of Klorane, Batiste retailed at $8CAD and Klorane $14CAD. However, I am planning on spending the extra $6 so I can have a product that does more for my hair.
Happy Shopping

A great inexpensive way to refresh your hair or absorb any oiliness if you don't have time to wash it! Be careful how close you spray it cos it can sometimes come out white, but you shouldn't have this problem if you hold it about 20-30cm from your hair. I usually brush it through afterwards and then style. At around AU$7 you really can't go wrong!

this product works as well as any expensive dry shampoo (klorane, rene furterer etc) and it's waaay cheaper! yes, it is a bit dulling, but i have found that is the compromise you're making with dry shampoo. however, in a few hours, my hair doesn't look as dull-once it's soaked in. the only reason i took off 1 lippie was bc of the smell....i hate the original smell-it's weirdly lemony and musky. the blush scent is a lighter floral, not too bad, but i really wish there was an unscented version! batiste needs to get on this!!

I cannot *live* without this stuff, in the summer especially. It's great when you need to wash but have no time. I also find that it gives my hair some extra body and oomph, which is always welcome :)

After this was constantly recommended on different boards as a great dry shampoo I decided to pick up a bottle when I went to Sally's. I've been searching for the perfect dry shampoo forever for my dry, thick, curly hair that I like to straighten and keep straight for at least a couple of days. It takes me about an hour to completely blow dry and straighten my hair so when I do straighten it I'd like it to remain that way as long as possible. After a couple of days my hair starts to get oily and a few blasts of Batiste and voila! Instant volume and non-oily hair! I swear I can keep my straight hair for days with this stuff! I got the "Blush" scent which smells really good and clean. Yes the bottle is kinda retro and 80's looking but who cares, for $8 and some change this is amazing. Before this I tried Oscar Blandi's Pronto dry shampoo which worked okay but left a lot of white powder residue on my scalp which is disgusting if you have to scratch your head. Batiste is a spray which won't leave nasty residue in your hair. I wanted to try Klorane but never got around to it. Now all that I will ever use is Batiste.

I have baby fine hair that gets oily at the roots if not washed daily. After reading reviews and being mentioned by my cousin that Sally's Beauty Supply carries a Dry Shampoo...I decided to give it a try which turned out to being one of the best discoveries for me ever. I tested this product after i took a nap...instanly, it removed the oil-y-ness from my roots and my hair was full of VOLUME, like "Porn-Status" BIG hair, LOL and leaving it feeling refreshed. A major PLUS, it is inexpensive and smells good!

Love, love, love! Batiste is one of my favorite dry shampoos (I like Psst! as well). I used to do the baby powder trick or use dry powder shampoos but I prefer this spray. It's much quicker and easier to blend. It also gives volume to the hair, which what I lose the most of on second day hair. My hair is fine and oily at the roots so I feel like I have to wash it everyday to get it looking its best. But it's good to give your hair a break too and this dry shampoo keeps me from feeling greasy.

They have a variety of scents. The blush one is so yummy! Definitely try Batiste out if you are looking for a dry shampoo. Can't beat it for the price.

Hmm, I am developing quite a habit for dry shampoo, and have now tried several brands:

A trick (that works for me), is to spray when the hair is just starting to get greasy. That way, I stay 'grease free' for another couple of days. If I wait til I am greasy and then spray, my hair seems to get heavy and stiff whatever brand I use.

BATISTE is the least expensive so far, the whitest (I can brush it out of my red-brown hair, but it takes some of the shine off), and if I am not careful I can look prematurely grey in places. It comes in two scents. The tropical is coconutty and pleasant. It definitely works, but has a slight tendency to dry my ends (I have long hair). A good, inexpensive staple, available in Boots the Chemist throughout the UK for about £2 a can. 3 stars.

OJON RUBOUT has a stronger smell, works very well, has virtually no colour, doesn't have to be brushed out nearly so well, and costs about £14 for 180 ml can. Yes, it is good, but the price is ridiculous. I have never had the nozzle clog, but all over the internet are reviews complaining about this, so I have obviously been lucky! From QVC only in the UK (or eBay, if you are a cheapskate, like me). 4 stars.

KLORANE OAT DRY SHAMPOO is the best of the 3. It has the nicest smell, and only a slight colour which is very easy to brush out. It can be used on successive days, and doesn't seem to build in the hair, and when I use a lot of it, it seems to make my hair fall in smooth even waves. It doesn't dry my hair out, but it does take a little of the shine off. At about £6 a can (150ml) I wouldn't call it cheap, but it is definitely affordable, and I would rather use this one than either of the other 2. The huge disadvantage is that I can't seem to find it anywhere but on the internet and the prices vary a lot. 5 Stars.

I have the tropical version of this product and the smell is lovely. This product is great for when you don't have time in the mornings to wash your hair, you simply spray it onto the roots and then brush it through your hair. I have very dark hair so I have to be careful to brush it all through otherwise it leaves a white mark but this product really does work and for less than £2 it's a bargain.
