This is not my favourite foundation. I love the texture, but I find it far too drying. However, odd as it might sound, I like it as a setting powder. I'll apply a little of this over liquid foundation, in areas where I tend to get shiny and since it's so drying, it mattifies everything down nicely. I doubt I'd repurchase, since I've only resorted to this use of it to get rid of it now that I have it.

I bought this years ago when it first came out. I binned it after using it a few times, and confiscated it off my little sister (she's 14, about the age I was when I bought it) when she purchased it.
Firstly, my sister and I are very fair. Both of us purchased this foundation in its lightest shade and it was still a poor match for us. It went on too orangey-brown for fair skin with blue undertones (I'm Px Camellia for reference, I suspect my sister would be the same). It took me a while to learn that cheap brands do not make the right colours for such fair skin and I need to pay extra to get a good match.
Secondly, this foundation was awful for my combination skin- oily T-zone was made oilier and dry cheeks were sapped of all moisture. It also wore off quite quickly. It felt horrid after a few hours, very oily around nose, chin and forehead, and borderline flaky cheeks.
Thirdly, I found it hard to blend with a brush or a sponge. This probably led to applying far too much. It also felt grainy on my skin at times.
Maybelline tends to be one of those "starter" makeup brands that everyone trials. I find that their products are fairly expensive for such a poor quality product (except the occasional mascara). Having tried this all those years ago, and recently their poor attempt at mineral foundation (check my review for that too), I'll be staying well away from their products forever.

This stuff is a good alternative if you are on a budget.. but you can do better. It does what its supposed to do, goes straight on and it is quite easy to blend to your colour tone, which is useful because it does tend to show up a little darker than it looks. It is thick though and can cake.
Dries quickly, not harsh on my skin, it is a thick product though and it feels thick on. Packing is average. It is good for oily skin it doesn't cause me any breakouts and it doesn't make me oily or make me look shiny.
Definately would recommend, but don't wear it on a hot day! After a while the mouse dries up and becomes blergh. I recommend a higher end product over this anyday.

I honestly don't like a single thing about this foundation. The packaging stinks, the product goes on thick no matter how I apply it, it makes me more oily than any other foundation ever has and it always looks orange by the end of the day. I will not repurchase.

great for oily skin and full coverage. It doesn't make me break out and I use it instead of a tanning lotion. The color tends to run darker then what it's labeled.

I do like this product. I always make sure i have a pot of this when i try a new foundation because i can trust this product. however i would definately like to find something better, i use a sponge and this blends so easily so its quick in the morning also doubles up as a good concealer to cover my acne, it feels so nice on skin. But...
this makes my skin look very dull and it does wear off within 4hours it also emphasises dry patches, so i reccomend not to use with dry skin! hundreds of people in my school use this and they swear by it and seriously their skin does look perfect but its not really for me, i need to find something better! but you wont know until you try but make sure you have plenty of your usual foundation at hand just incase it looks terrible. and DO NOT use if you have dry skin. :)

those of you with dry skin, beware. this will emphasize every single flake and dry patch x a million. this is why i don't use it as a full foundation. i use it mainly as a concealer, and it does a good job at that, so that's why i gave it three lippies. the coverage is quite blenable, but it does tend to look cakey if you apply too much, so be careful.

I looooove this product! Coverage is amazing, and you can get full coverage by building it up!. This product has a veerrrryy nice and soft texture, which makes it AMAZINGLY easy to blend out. I loove this soo much! I don't know why but i even love the packaging :P!

Looking at comments/reviews of this product I feel so shocked. This is my HG foundation. I have already gone through one of these, it makes me look soo flawless. I apply it with those cheap make-up sponges, not foundation brushes, and that might be why people are having problems with this. I tried applying it with brushes, and it didn't go on well. I find this gives great coverage, works well with combination skin (because it's neither a liquid or powder), doesn't break me out at all, lasts all day, and conceals blackheads like no body's business.
I feel so bad for those people who didn't have the results I did. It seems like almost like a shame for me to imagine someone not getting the great results I did with this. So best of luck on your foundation journey's if this didn't work on you.

When i first put it on i was impressed and liked it. But 10 minutes later I looked at my face again and ICK!! it was horrible, I have dry spots around my chin and this just emphasizes my dry skin. Will return this product asap.
