I bought this last year and I am still using the first container!
This stuff works great for I get a lot of acne scars, but this just covers it right up.
It makes your skin look fresh, clear, spotless, and also natural!
Many people have said it looks too caked on. But for this, a little goes a long way (which is probably why I have had this for so long),
When I first bought this, they didn't have the shade I thought would work the best, but it turned out to blend perfectly.
I loved how I could use the same product summer and winter!
While most makeup makes your skin oily throughout the day I havent found this to be a problem.
Great buy, worth a try!

I had always admired my friend's perfectly clear, smooth skin, so when I found out that she wears Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse naturally I had to check it out. This stuff is magic! You can't tell I'm wearing makeup--it just looks like I have fabulous skin! The reason I gave it a 4 is that I have a bit of rough/bumpy skin texture in my t-zone, and this foundation sort of catches on the bumps and looks powdery rather than blending in and smoothing them over. It makes me kind of self-conscious because if you're looking carefully enough it's pretty obvious that I have makeup on. All in all though, a "dream" come true!

Based on the reviews this foundation is getting on here, I normally wouldn't have gone for it, but the mousse consistency and pot packaging intrigued me, so I decided to check it out - it was less than $8 at Target anyway, so why not? And surprisingly, I really like it! My skin is fairly oily, and it's perfect for hot summer days when you want to have something on to even out skintone, but don't want to look super done or have something feeling heavy on your face. Usually on those 90 degree summer days, any foundation or powder I'm wearing melts off and looks like a mess in less than an hour. With this foundation, my skin stayed pretty much matte and the foundation didn't clump and pool like most do when I sweat a little - which, for me, is it's biggest plus. It feels like nothing on and covers any imperfections I'd want covered on a "good" skin day, like uneven skintone and old acne scars, but I'd probably want a concealer for any active breakouts. I also love that this is quick to put on because, since it feels like a primer going on anyway, I don't use a primer with it, and it doesn't need to be set with a powder (I think putting powder on top might actually make it not look as good). It looks really nice with the mousse blush, as well. One warning if you have dry skin, like others have said, you definitely won't want to try this because it will accentuate your dry spots as badly or worse than powder. I put it on one morning without washing/moisturizing and even though my skin is pretty oily, especially in the summer, it somehow found dry patches and clung to them. It looks beautiful on well-moisturized skin, though!

Sandy beige baby! LOVE IT! I used to use this back in the day, cause I liked how it was in a jar! Paired with the blush this works fantastic! I usually have trouble enjoying and keeping a foundation, but this one is a must have these days when I'm getting up early in the morning and need something to make my skin look awakened!
If people are complaining about breakouts...maybe they shouldn't sleep in their makeup. I'm sure this product, like all face foundations, shouldn't be kept on your face for longer than 8 hours. You also should use maybelline products with only other maybelline products, mixing could cause breakouts.
Also...Feels greasy? well different people have different skin. I have an oily face and really have had no real problem with this. So someone may like it, someone may not. As for me, it works great, its easy on the wallet and the coverage is so-so and basically evens out my skin tone. I don't really have break outs..so this worked great.

I got this foundation and loved it for the first couple of days. It went on nice and covered very well, but it made my skin breakout... I stopped using it and swapped with a friend who had a foundation that she didn't want and that I now use everyday as a concealer. If you have sensitive skin I would advise against this.

I am reviewing this as a concealer not as a foundation
being a baked/mineral girl, im currently obsessed with my laura geller balance and brighten, it works wonders and gives me a flawless complexion [my bf even said it!] email me for details..
maybelline's dream matte mouse comes in a jar with a lid sort of like a paint-pot from mac. its a whipped consistancy and and comes in various shades.
when I purchase this I was originally planning to use it as a bronzer, [and it does a good job of that] but I have my HG bonne bell glimmer bronzer in gold n glitz so I found a better purpose for the mouse..a concealer!
I normally like a moisturizing concealer, for the undereye is delicate and needs hydration, and because a dryer consistancy causes cakiness and I hate that look, my normal concealer is mac's studio moisturecover, but I find dream matte mouse to work very similar..
I take a little from the pot with a brush [for sanitary purposes] and dab on my undereye, then I use my finger to blend it in, it matches perfectly and blends like a dream. because its whipped there's no cake and I love that. after that I just apply my foundation..
the only thing about this foundation is it has kind of a wet slightly greasy feel to it, and its great for under your eyes but I don't think this would be great as a full face foundation, I think it may slide off throughout the day, and for those that already have an oily complexion, this would not work for you...that's the only con.
overall I would suggest it to those that have a hard time finding a concealer that doesn't cake, or as a bronzer without shimmer, just get a shade lighter for concealer and a shade darker for bronzer. im not sure of the price, but its drugstore, so its going to be a bit expensive for the amount. but I say try it, im impressed for the way it works [but remember I can't vouche for it as a foundation] any questions, let me know =)

Very surprised by the repurchase rating on this one! I love this foundation! It makes my skin look so smooth, and it matches my skin tone perfectly! Feels lightweight while still giving good coverage. Could only give it four lippies though because it doesn't last well through a busy day...but on an average one not bad!

The first time I used this product, I thought it was brilliant. It matched my skin tone beautifully, and worked wonderfully.
However, that was it after that. I noticed more pimples cropping up on my chin and cheeks - places I very rarely have any problems with my skin - and I noticed my skin was getting dryer, even after I used more moisturiser. I applied this with my fingers for a while, and then with a sponge but didn't find it much better. I still used to use it all the time, because it matched my skin tone so well, and used to keep it on me in my makeup bag. One day it got mildly warm and I swear the product melted. It kind of receeded away from the edges and the texture was horrible. I threw it away after that.
I wish I hadn't wasted my money, this product was not worth it.

I hate this stuff. I bought it once thinking.."dream matte mousse" sounds amazing. Until I put it on my face. I have normal skin and I can use just about anything, but this stuff slid around all over my face and rubbed off on everything! Even if you use a tiny amount, it just SITS on top of your skin feeling super greasy and disgusting. I wouldn't use this again. Not even if someone paid me.

I really liked this when I first got it, as it does give a fairlygood coverage and is soft and matte on the skin.
I find that it isnt verylong lasting however, And would need touchups often.
It also can sometimes look caked on.
Overall it is a good value foundation for its price though :)
