I like it a lot but I don't love it...it applies a bit darker on my skin than I anticipated (CFX E20/E30, neutral I guess, with some redness issues now and then) even with MAC 187. The shimmer factor isn't crazy so I don't feel as if I'm caught in "36-trying-to-look-19"...in the container, it looks peachy apricot with gold...on my skin, much more golden than peach or apricot. It's very pretty and I like it on my eyes a lot...I'll wear it often, I'm sure, but the search continues...

I am suprised this product gets such raves. Its pretty but its no Orgasm or Sin. Luster is a shimmery soft pale peach with a little golden shimmer. Does not have the pinky hint to it that orgasm does. Also not as much golden shimmer as Orgasm. Great for a softer look with less color. Works well with my nc30 light olive complexion. The downside is that i didn't think it was as pigmented as some of my other blushes. I had to layer more on. Its still pretty but I like Orgasm better. This is better for less of a cheek color.

I hesitated in buying this blush and now I am kicking myself for waiting so long. This is the prettiest blush I own, and I have ALOT. I am a pale neutral blonde with blue eyes and freckles. My cheeks have a lot of pink in them naturally so I feel like pink blushes sometimes make me look like I am hot or ruddy looking BUT the gorgeous shimmery apricot tan color of Luster is perfect! It makes me have that "glowy" look like I am glowing from within. It makes me look healthy and the color is very natural on me. I use a skunk blush with a light hand and the color payoff is perfect. I would recommend this color to anyone who is warm or neutral coloring b/c I am afraid it would look too orange on cool skin. I am so happy with my purchase and I would definitely buy again!

I love this blush a lot! It's a beautiful nude-y golden color. The shimmer is nice too. I just wish it was a little cheaper!

My first reaction when I opened the box was that this color was not going to work for me. It looks like a gold shade with a tiny hint of peach. Well, it looks great on! It looks like a nice peachy gold color on my face. The staying power is excellent and it does not bother my very sensitive skin. Pricey but worth it!

Awesome colour, on my NC35/40 skin its a peachy gold with shimmer. It photographs beautifully and the shimmer isnt OTT. I always shy away from shimmery face products, i always feel more comfortable in satin/matte formulas. But NARS blushes are my weakness.

There's not a trace of pink in this, at least not in the pan. It's pretty much a straight up golden peach, and it looks like a softer, friendlier version of the very bronze Sertao. However, Luster is one of those magically morphing products for me. While in the beginning, it's a pretty apricot with not a hint of pink, within a couple of hours, somehow my own natural flush comes in and turns it into what the reviewer below me called it - rose gold. Nothing could be more flattering on an NC25-30! It's nicely pigmented - not too much, not too little, and it lasts all day without needing a touch up, unless you're wearing it for over ten hours, and then you might a light dusting of it. I had debated for a couple of weeks before grabbing this, and I don't regret this purchase at all! My favorite NARS blush now, right next to Deep Throat.

luster is a very nice, pigmented straight up peach w/ gold shimmer blush. same amount of shimmer as orgasm, maybe a bit softer in texture. it is a warm shade, but not too warm for the cool tone gals. my only problem w/ luster is that on my face, it looks exactly like chanel reflex. i know they look really different in the pan, but once on the face, they look the same... peach w/ no pink glowy blush.

A gorgeous sandy apricot blush! No pink whatsoever here, it's a straight-up warm shade with microshimmer and that incomparable NARS texture. Easy to blend, looks simply great and hard to overdo.
$25 at Sephora.com or beauty.com.

I have to agree with other reviewers, this is a beautiful subtle golden apricot blush! I was on the fence if I should get this one because I wasn't sure it would show up on my NC44 skin, but it does. I love the fact that it seems to brighten up my face. Luster blush is a real winner. Thanks Mr. Nars!

This is the best blush ever. Period. I fell in love with it, it's a peachy golden color that would match best for a exotic nude look. Out of all NARS blushes, this one works the best for me. I would def repurchase and pray that it does not get discontinued.

I absolutely love this blush. Out of the 8 Nars blushes that I own, this is by far my favorite.. It is a subtle peachy golden bronze with a golden shimmer.I think it would look good on a wide range of complexions.. I love this when doing a nude look or a beachy look I would repurchase.

Product - "Sheer golden apricot" is a fair description of the color - equal parts of peach and gold. Great on my AAB/NC25 skin (warm with yellow undertones). As always, this has the wonderful texture, pigmentation, and packaging of NARS powder blushes.
Comparisons - Most similar to NARS Sertao ("glistening tawny gold") but with peach tones added; on my cheeks the difference between Sertao and Luster is much more apparent than in the pan. Definitely does not look like Sertao + Orgasm to me, there's no pink in Luster at all. Lighter, shimmery, and more golden than matte NARS Passion. Lighter, peachier, more golden, and less brown than MAC Margin. Deeper, slightly more golden than Paula's Select (Paula's Choice) Soft Matte Blush in Pale Peach.
Overall - One of my favorite NARS blushes.

It's kind of hard to describle this color. It's supposed to be a cross between Sertao and Orgasm. While both colors are pretty in the pan, neither one shows up on me. For reference, I am a GGG NC40. Although I wasn't convinced that it looked good under the lighting at Nordstrom, I purchased it and decided to play with it at home.
I am so glad that I did!
If you like Lovejoy, you'll definitely like Luster. Although it can be used as a highlighter, it really can be used as a blush. The look is more subtle but it manages to make you look healthy and there's just the right amount of shimmer. Like all NARS powder blushes, the pigmentation is excellent. It didn't streak or turn orange. Luster really is a nice every day color which could be easily built up. Honestly, this is going to give Orgasm a run for its money. I don't really see the peach that everyone speaks of in this blush.
I don't know if this is a permanent part of the collection but if it is, great. If not, get one while you can. I haven't seen it in Sephora but Nordstrom for sure has it!

ive been looking for this blush since i saw it on sephora.com but no stores had it yet and nordstroms didnt either. but today i saw it and i knew id like it so i didnt even try it on my hand or anything. but when i got home i tried it, i loved it im going to go buy a couple because its the most flattering shade of blush on me, im an NC40. i already have sertao, orgasm, torrid, lovejoy, sin, gina and was still looking for a peachy gold color with no pink in it. and they finally made it. it does look like sertao just with more peach in it. since sertao almost looks like pure gold and doesnt show up on me sometimes it looks more like a highlighter than a blush. so luster is perfect if you want a peachy glow

I see a lot of people saying this is Orgasm crossed with Serteo or very close. I don't know that I'd agree with that. I think it's what people hoped Serteo might be before it was released. The finish is similar to Orgasm, light sheer color with a good amount of shimmer. I see this as a straight peach with little to no pink, honestly it seems no pink to me but that could be how it applies on me. It's buildable and it gives me that I spent a tiny bit too long in the sun glow if I apply a medium amount (like a lighter version of the blush in Fresh's Here Comes the Sun palette. I love the golden aspect to the color as well as the golden shimmer. It seems an odd blush to come out in the winter because it makes me feel like it's summer again. I think the color is very flattering and is an easy staple like Orgasm blush. I'd say the color is a golden/peachy/apricot with golden shimmer. Good for my fair skin. I think cool toned girls might not like this one. I'm neutral to neutral warm and love it.

Finally a NARS blush I love. On my MMM skin it goes on a golden peach with minimal shimmer. Half golden brown, half true peach...no orange, no pink. Looks very natural. Glides on evenly with minimal blending. Doesn't turn orange on my oily skin and lasts all day. And while I still reach for BB's Coral most (my fav blush of all time), I'm reaching for this a lot to mix it up, especially with warmer fall colors.
