This is a great mascara that gives lots of length, volume, and curl! It was difficult to find; but I was determined after reading the great reviews that I must try it. I finally found it at an outlet, and once I put it on I was amazed. For $7, my regular eyelashes were suddenly became longer! The formula is a little runny-er than others I have tried, but it works well. I use it with Magic Lash Eyelash Enhancer, to give it more volume and I have never seen my eyelashes look so good! They look like I am wearing false eyelashes. If you want babydoll eyelashes, I highly recommend this mascara!

I really like this mascara. I don't have a lot of time in the morning, and this saves me a lot of trouble because it's very pigmented and doesn't clump. I can swipe it on and forget about it. This is the way makeup should be.

I've never been able to wear mascara without severe smudging. The only mascara I've ever been able to use was Cover Girl's Anti-Smudge Mascara and they quit making that years ago. For years, I've gone without mascara and have even dyed my lashes to get around mascara. I've had enough. I am determined to find a mascara that does not smudge.
Based on previous reviews on Makeup Alley, I tried NYX Mascara in black. I was pleasantly suprised at the availability in my local Ulta store and the price was great ($2.99).
Before trying, I used an eyelash curler to ensure my lashes were curled. The mascara went on very clean with no clumping. It curled my lashes slightly, but that was it.
The big test was the smudging. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being major racoon eyes, I would say this was a 7. I had a little smudging, but compared to everything else I've tried it was nothing.
Overall, I think this is a wonderful product for the money. I think if used properly with a lash curler and base/primer, it could be close to perfect.

I have to say that this is definitely the best mascara I've ever used. I used to swear by Benefit's Bad Gal Lash, but in comparison to NYX's Doll Eye mascara it can't even compete. This mascara gives me amazing length and it really separates my lashes. Although it is a little pricey for a drugstore mascara at $11 a tube, it is definitely worth it. My only major problem is with the brush - I find that once the mascara starts to dry out, the brush really promotes clumping. Overall, a great mascara that is definitely going to be a regular in my makeup bag.

I am reviewing the WATERPROOF version of this mascara (I haven't tried Long Lash or Volume). I love that the formula is thick and dries fast... which means that I can see dramatic results with only 2 light coats. My short lashes become ultra black and glossy and no smudges! Also no smudges during the day even in humid conditions. Something to keep in mind is that the Waterproof versions isn't really waterproof. I went swimming and it came off on my cheeks in flakey bits. (Reminds me of Blinc mascara... comes off in tiny pieces, still doesn't smudge when wet) I use jojoba oil and a baby wipe to remove at night, and it's very easy to do this. I would definitely buy this mascara again. I love the smudge-free ness and how easy it is to remove.

After an exhausting search, finally found this mascara in a local beauty supply store for $8. Applied two coats. Lives up to it's name. I did have long defined, baby doll lashes.

This is by far the BEST maxcara I've used. I can SEE my lashes getting long with each stroke. No joke. I'm serious. This makes my lashes nice and long without any clumping. I just LOVE this product. This mascara doesn't add volume though but it's expected since it's a lengthening mascara. I absolutely will buy this again.

this is actually decent mascara. i would give 5 lippies but i like maybelline's full n soft WP better. this might be as good as maybelline's full n soft (non-WP). but i give 4 lippies because this one is more expensive than Full n Soft. it dries fast by the way.

I so wanted to have doll eyes with this mascara. You know those long, thick, unbelievable lashes like dolls have, instead I did get long curled lashes but just not great lashes! Plus the mascara itself seems quite dry. I'm going back to my Volume Exact.

I absolutely LOVE this product. It is much better than my OLD h/g Lancome. I was very sceptical about buying this too. My husband said"just try it"(LOVE HIM TOO..lol) and I am so glad I did. Lasts much longer than Lancome. I was very suprised at how it separated ,yet thickened my lashes. I do have to use several coats but I do that with every mascara. I would HIGHLY recommend this if you like dramatic lashes but hate the pricetag of Diorshow...I got it for $6.99 at an outlet mall in TX.

I'm so torn about this product. First, let me just say that it is a WONDERFUL mascara. It's not perfect, but it's close. I was not blessed with long lashes, and this mascara makes my eyelashes longer than any other mascara I've ever tried, and I've tried alot, from designer, to department store, to drugstore. In fact (and I can't believe I'm saying this), it makes my eyelashes almost too long. For my line of work (veterinary medicine), it's just a little much. That said, it's the perfect mascara for going out.
I'm not sure if it's the brush, the formula, or pure magic, but the lengthening power of this mascara is overwhelming. My only complaint about the product itself is that it tended to clump a little as I brushed it on, which is why I gave it 4 lippies.

This is actually a really nice mascara! I like the brush alot, and it seems to make my lashes pretty long and thick looking. Still not my HG, but close! To the previous reviewer who bougt it for $16, I found it at Eckerd's for $6! I think it is $6 in most places.

Hey, I'm liking this. I love the brush, it is sort of a figure eight shape and I can get a good swipe on my lashes. It does make my lashes look longer, not goopy or flakey. I also found at the end of the day it hadn't smudged under my eyes. I am going to try the volume one next as I like my lashes a bit darker, I found I had to put a few layers on to get the effect I wanted. I paid $15.99 for it at Save on foods , so alot more than I wanted to spend on a drugstore mascara, but I'm happy with it, so don't mind.Worth a try.
UPDATE: Still loving this mascara, I just bought another tube. I just wanted to note that this is a drier mascara and does clump a little bit but you can smooth it out as you apply. I find I have more control with a drier mascara.

First off, let it be known that I'm not a big mascara fan. On my medium to slightly long, average density lashes, most just seem to leave very little impact. I'm picky too, as with eyeliner my mascara has to be very dark, inky, and at least a little glossy (I hate the ashen eyelash look!). That enough limits alot of mascaras, imo.
Enter NYX, Doll Eye mascara! Simply said, this stuff lengthens and curls my lashes like crazy and is easy to use. The only color this comes in is 'Extreme Black' so it might be harsh for those with naturally light lashes. I never thought I'd be this excited about mascara, but this is a given rave. Using this gives me that dark long lashed vintage doll look easily and quickly! What more could a girl ask for?
