My favorite high-lighter I've purchased so far! It's a very good staple piece and can go with ALOT of colors. Looks beautiful with peach shades. I will definetely purchase again.

This is a nice beige e/s and one of my favorite e/s. I use this as a highlighter, Naked Lunch on my lids and Saddle in my crease for a nice everyday look. Brings out my brown eyes beautifully. For reference I'm NC35, black/dark hair, olive-tan skin.

This is a beautiful, beige-cream color. It adds a gorgeous glow to my eyes. I traded my Sable and Grain eyeshadows yesterday for this shade and Tempting. This is a beautiful shadow, and can be used for a natural look, or with other shades for a more dramatic look. I will definately repurchase, but I don't think I will need to for a long time.. EDIT: 11/11/06 I have used this shadow every day since I purchased my first pot of it, and I have since purchased another one as a back up. I just love this color... I typically use it with Soba on my lid, and Tempting in the crease. LOVE IT.

I find myself reaching for this shadow for under the brow all the time. It's kind of golden so it doesn't look freakishly white like a lot of other highlighters do.

My biggest gripe about highlighter shades is that some of them are just too freaking harsh. You know what I mean . . . if anyone photographs you with a flash camera – hello unappealing stark shiny white brow bones. Ricepaper is a yellowed creamed color that has more of a satin finish so it makes it very wearable as a highlighter shade. It’s still shiny enough to accentuate your browbone, but doesn’t make you look like a cheesy 80’s porn star. Very nice pigment, staying power, and texture. I think this may be one of my favorite highlighter shades from MAC. Will repurchase if I ever run out.

My HG eyeshadow! It's such a wearable & subtle shade of pale gold with really subtle shimmers that can really help to enhance your eyes. I use it for literally everything - from highlighting my brow bone, as as an eyeshadow on its own, as a highlighter on my face or even as a base eyeshadow to bring out the intensity of the colours of other eyeshadows! Pretty! I love it so much that i've actually finished 2 of it already. No doubt as to repurchasing too!

This is a gorgeous warm goldy colour which I love!!! It's one of my staples in eyeshadows. It shows up excellently, offers brightness in a chic way without being over the top as some golds can be! It has a nice sheen to it and immediately brightens eyes and have found goes with heaps of shades, however it can also be worn alone with mascara and a darker shade under lower eyelashes. It's also perfect for using it under the brow line, to perk up inner eye corners, and I use this often under my lower lashes when I want a brighter but subtle look to compliment my eye make-up. HG colour!!!! UPDATE: swapped it away, too frosty for me and have found better pigmented golds.

The MA recommended this along with Satin Taupe when I asked for some neutral shades for my NC30 colouring. (Well, technically she suggested Shroom first, but I already had that.) This is absolutely my favourite base shade. It's the perfect neutral with a bit of shimmer that perks up my eyelids. HG, will repurchase!

This is a lovely pale shimmery buff shadow which looks pretty on my FFF/MMM yellow undertone skin. I use this for lid and/or under brow. I got this as a swap and would definitely purchase.

Had this years ago, it broke, and now I'm wondering what took me so long to replace it. Ricepaper is sort of an off white with golden tones to it. Very pretty. I use it as a browbone highlighter (nice change of pace from Shroom) and it really does look good. Nice sheen but not too much (like Phloof can sometimes be). Ricepaper is kind of on the warm side but I really think it would go well with most colors. I'm NC20-30 depending on tan, brown eyes, brown hair.

Can makeupalley stand one more review of Ricepaper? Why not-- here goes. Ricepaper is a beautiful shimmer neutral that has a very very soft texture. It goes easily onto a brush and then onto the lid, unlike a few of the MAC shadows that might be consdidered hard or flinty.

Ricepaper can be used as a beautiful neutral wash on my NC20 skin--my lids but shimmery and neutral. If I were to use a darker shade on the lid, I would not hesitate to use Ricepaper as a highlighter--it's light enough to do so.

Highly recommended and yes, I would re-buy. Also, my heart would break a little if this were ever discontinued.

This is a HG eyeshadow for me if ever there was one. On me this is the perfect 'my eyelids only better' shade. It is the most beautiful soft pearly golden/cream/nude shade. It makes me look bright eyed and gorgeous at any time and goes great with all of my other warm toned eye makeup. The texture is buttery smooth and soft and it blends like a dream too. It creases on me without a base but for such a perfect shade I can deal. This will be a staple for me, will repurchase it forever and ever! :)

I like the color, but the texture of this powder eyeshadow seems to be a bit "crumbly" to me for some reason. Very messy when I use it with my brush. I also don't like that it creases on me quicker than other MAC e/s(s) for some reason, even when I use an eyeshadow base. Maybe it has something to do with the gritty texture?? I don't know... maybe I got a bad batch. I still gave it 4 lippies, 'cuz the color is lovelier than lovely. :o)
EDIT 4/11/08: I upped this to a "5" rating. This is an outstanding highlight color for me! Love it with Sable in the crease, Ricepaper on brows and inner eye corners, and Jete on ball of eyelids. Stunning day look!

Oh, I like this! Ricepaper is a yellowish gold, subtle yet distinctive. It makes my blue eyes pop (my mom complimented my eye shadow several times during Thanksgiving when I was wearing it). I use it with MAC's Soft Brown or alone on my lid. Great staying power and quality per usual. This color would work for a variety of skin tones and with a variety of different eye shadows. I recommend it!

I'm a PPP (NW15), with hazel eyes and brown hair, and had a MAC makeover. Corduroy eyeshadow is a matte brown color, and was used by the makeup artist as my eyeliner, and to give some color to my brows. She then used amber lights (frost; gold color) on my upper eyelid to the crease. Ricepaper (a yellow) was swept from my eyelid crease to brow. Finally, cork (satin, medium brown) was used lightly in the crease. All these MAC eyeshadows are lovely colors and compliment each other really well. I have used all of them alone on different occassions also. They are very versitile. I think MAC eye shadows rule!

A great base, a wheat-ish very light color that does a great job at brightening my eyes and it gives a nice sheen, I reach for it pretty often.
