The SA tried this on me in the shade PETAL. But she's wrong, I should fit better in HONEY/BEIGE shade. I'm NC25, this covers up my huge dark eye circles, and my acne marks, very nice coverage. I like the fact that it's a powder foundation, I used to love BB Cream until it's summer here and it's very humid. BB Cream just looks shiny on me.

UPDATE: turned this into 4 stars because it no longer covers my eye circles (without concealer, just this powder)

Alright, so, I was disappointed in this product.

It looked amazing when I first applied it, you know, sponge applicator for full coverage, followed by the brush all over for light to medium coverage. Just this alone made my skin look nice. However, after two hours, it was gone. It just vanished off my skin! I didn't pay $34 for a powder that just goes away!

I returned this the next day.

It matches my skin color very well and I like the matte finish. However, it makes my skin itchy as hell and made me breakout more. I am definitely going to return this to Sephora.

Thank God I found this new on ebay so I didn't pay full price. Very cheaply made product, powder goes in every crease and it's messy under the eyes, gives a ghostly effect. Will not repurchase.

I absolutely love this powder ... great coverage, totally camouflages redness, nice application (I pat on with the sponge, then use my own fluffy brush to diffuse,) good range of colors as opposed to Get Even, which I also like, but have to mix 1 and 2 for a match. My problem with this powder is the ASTRONOMICAL price for the tiny amount of product. This will not last a month, let alone a season. $34 deserves twice the product. I will not repurchase at the price.

Pros:

Offers great coverage without looking artificial or cakey.
Remains matte throughout the day and doesn't require touch ups or blotting *for me, at least*.
Doesn't crease or oxidize.
Doesn't make me break out.
Great color match for my NW15 skin-me Vain Champagne works perfectly!

Cons:
Price for the amount you get.
Difficult to use with a concealer underneath.

I love almost everything about this product, except the amount you receive for the price. I've already hit the pan and I only used it several times. I guess for $34 I was just expcting it to last longer.

The packaging is adorable-very convenient, with the sponge and brush housed underneath the powder. I actually only use the sponge and never used to brush to apply, as I prefer heavier coverage.

This product is difficult to use with concealer underneath it, if you are looking to cover up active acne. This does an awesome job of covering redness in my skin tone but some of my post acne marks are still slightly visable, just markedly toned down, when I just use this alone.

I love to wear this over Fyrinnae's gel primer, set it with MAC MSF Natal and stipple some Fix + sprayed onto a skunk brush.

I'd probably rebuy this, despite my qualms about the price, if I can't find a comparable product. I just bought MAC Studio Fix Powder from the SUMO sale, so I'll see if that works as well. Otherwise, I'd definitely rebuy this one I run out, if I could find a good deal.

I was disappointed in this powder! I had such high hopes. The consistency is nice, but the brush included is useless. It barely provides any coverage.... and the sponge included doesn't help the powder blend well. I haven't tried it with a big brush like other reviewers have suggested. The $34 price is a little steep for the quality of the product.

For me this is a true winner. I've been using it for two month now and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm using it as a powder over liquid foundation, because I don't believe in the concept of a powder foundation. However, when I buff it in with my 109, Hello Flawess really gives me a flawless finish that lasts all day. And I only need a tiny bit of product. Since a little really goes a long way, I don't mind the amount of product in the package too much. I see myself buying this again and again.

I have only been using this for a few days...but so far it is very nice. I have had it on since 7:00 it is now four in the afternoon and it still looks pretty fresh. I put it on with my MAC 187 brush it gave a med. coverage with a very light dusting. I got the beige for my med. skin that gets a little darker in the summer. I wore bare minerals for years swithced back to liquids...for the summer I just wanted something lighter and I think this is a winner!!

I bought this during the recent Benefit sale. The Me Vain? color is fine for me at NW20. I was hoping for something more convenient than my current favorite foundation, Chante Future Skin. FS is in a small glass jar and needs a brush or sponge to apply--really not something you can carry around in your purse. I had tried HF a few times in-store and it seemed like impressive coverage without too much 'powderyness'.

Having had it for several days now, it's 'pretty good'. It takes some time to get a natural look, a skunk-type brush seems to be the best application. But since that's not saving me much time, I might as well use the liquid foundation in the first place. HF also doesn't last nearly as long or as perfectly as my Future Skin.

To build up significant coverage, you'll end up with some powdery effect, unless you moisturize really well beforehand...in which case your face is going to feel like you need another, dryer finishing powder on top of the HF.

The packaging is pretty fiddly to open and the amount of product for the price is crazy--I wouldn't have bought it unless it was on sale.

I think the ideal use for HF, and what I'll use it for, is to carry around in an emergency stash with an It Stick or something, for unexpected makeup needs. I don't wear m/u every day, but some afternoons I really wish I'd put on some kind of coverup, and most powder foundations are way too cakey on me. So I'll carry this around--but would try a different product next time.

UPDATE: Makes my face itch like crazy, has bismuth and mica (my fault for not being familiar with these ingredients). Returning this item.

This product was pretty good. The color was prefect just it did not like how drying it was and i did not completey cover my redness. It would be good if you do not have a lot of dicoloration.

Edit: Okay so I kept trying it and it has gone down even further in my book. Thecolor is darker that my natural skin and it cakes up. After about three hours oil breaks through (a lot) and I run to the bathroom to cover it up. At this application it becomes seriously cakey and the color applies greyish.. then oxidizes out to an oragey yellow. On top of that two minutes after the new application, the oil comes through again as if i did not just fix it.

I'm off to try custom blend by prescriptives...hopefully that can work.

Been using this for a few weeks now and I just love it. I normally use CG Simply powder but this is far more elegant. This powder perfectly smooths and evens out my skin tone. I'm talkin silky smooth. The finish is nice and matte but not cakey. I use 02 never settle and its a great match for my light yellow skin. It swipes on very yellow at first but melts right in beautifully. Comes with a sponge and a brush - I use the sponge. Doesn't control my very oily skin but I don't expect any foundation to - that's what primers are for. Medium coverage and buildable. I am totally turned off by the price vs the amount of product you get. I can see paying $28 IF they at least filled the compact at lease half full. You get just a little sliver in this huge compact which I find deceptive. For that only 4 stars. UPDATE: on my 2nd compact. Price went up another $6 which is crap but can't find anything better....

This is THE MOST amazing powder/foundation ever and I've been using this everyday for the past 3 weeks. I use my MAC 187 and lightly brush it all over my face and voila! Perfect natural look. Yeap, the key word is "LIGHTLY". Even with soft strokes, the coverage is medium to full and depends on how many layers you use. It has no problem concealing the redness around my nose, my panda eyes and some of my freckles. How amazing is that?! I didn't even have to use any concealers. Having said that, DO NOT use the brush included, I didn't as I read how badly it picks up the powder.

The best thing about this powder is that it lasts all throughout the day, for me, well past the 9 hours mark! It doesn't budge when you sweat and I may need to blot once a day if I'm out under the hot sun. When I do need to touch up on certain days, again, I just lighly brush the powder over the areas that need coverage again.

This is best coupled with a primer, and after trying out a few (including Benefit's That Gal and prep + prime), I think this powder works best with my Chanel Whitening Modeling Effect Base in Rosee. I have this in Petal and the color looks a little ashy in the compact, my skin is more yellow based. Somehow the Chanel primer compliments well with the color and doesn't look ashy on me at all!

I did not break out once using this so far. I will continue to use this as I think I've found my HG! BTW, sure, there have been remarks about how little product you get with the high price, but if it covers so well using so little product, and cuts down your make up time in half, why not?! Just buy it directly from their website for some of you Malaysian/Singaporean girls as it is way cheaper online.

I got this in Me Vain Champagne- perfect match for NC20. It is very matte and full coverage for a powder. The sponge and brush are useless. I use a large BE powder brush. It keeps me matte all day! The amount seems pretty small in the package, and I have used a lot in a month it seems- so a bit pricey.

I wanted to love it, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I had seen it on Sephora's website and then I saw it at Macy's and decided to buy it. I was super excited to try it, but when I did, it seems as nothing more than an average powder. I have acne scarring and the SA promised that this would do the trick in covering up. (Clinique Almost Powder does so well, but I wanted a change!). It did not. I applied it with the sponge first to places where I need full coverage and then I used the brush. It looked really cakey on, but I was in a hurry so I left it and blotted as best I could. When I got a chance to look in the mirror I saw that it was already disappearing! and by the end of the day it was an even worse cakey mess than when I had started. I'm sticking to my Clinique powder until I find something else that works.

Overall, it’s pretty good product. The only negative thing I have to say about this is like any other power/foundation products, be careful about over loading this product on. I found that using the sponge on spots that only needs coverage and even it out with face brush was the best way to keep fresh look without looking cakey. The most surprising thing about this product was the color perfectly matched my skin tone (I’m using “Never Settle Petal”). I’ll definitely buy this product again unless someone else comes out with another amazing product.

I love, love, LOVE this product! I don't usually buy from benefit because it's pretty expensive, but I recieved this as a gift so I was more than welcome. I was using drug store powers before (the maybelline matte powder) but it didn't quite cut it for me. A make up artist from benefit put this on for me, and boy was I impressed. I bought it and took it home to experiment. The thing that impressed me the most was the AMAZING coverage! It is so well pigmented, and using it with the sponge gives me the greatest coverage I've ever had. The brush gives me a nice sheer, natural looking finish. I have heavy dark circles, so I use this under my eyes. I just apply it with a wide eye shadow brush and it goes on light but covers everything!
Just try to avoid using the sponge under your eyes.. because that's when it starts looking cakey and creases form :T

Love this product. The color range is small but seems to almost fit everyones skin tone. If you are using the brush it comes with you DON'T use the tip of the brush as it will just blow the powder around everywhere, but you use the side of the brush. My only gripe about this product is the price per gram is more expensive then Christian Dior and Chanel. Benefit needs to give more product then 7 Grams for 34 dollars. Thats like a bad joke.

Btw I have acne too and it doesn't seem to make me breakout at all.
