I tried it but other then giving a set finish to your foundation don't really see a huge point to it I was also quite disappointed by how much you get considering the price.

I don't love it. I have now tried HD powers by Laura Mercier, Pure Luxe, and MUFE, and this one. I was hoping I'd find them all the same then run off into the sunset with my cheapie ELF powder feeling I'd beat the system! Alas, the MUFE looks better, cleaner, more of a soft focus look. This one is comparable to the LM one however, the PL really isnt so similar at all. Huge amt of product, hate the packaging, will keep and likely use to mix with a tone down too bright blushes and too dark bronzers.

oh yeah! good stuff. finely milled. great powder. yes sets foundation beautifully. great price. bought a second box when I did not need because of an ELF sale.
Solution to holes. The same I use for all loose powders, just peel the lid half way.
I love the black box

This powder sets my liquid foundation perfectly. You need so little and it really works. I just dot the puff on my cheeks, forehead, and nose (without re-dipping) and then dust it around my face with a soft face brush.
Works like a dream.
I like the screw top packaging. It makes it less messy.

I originally purchased this because I needed something to set my liquid foundations with and I hated adding another color with powder on top of my foundation.
I've tried translucent powders before, but the color always shows up.
This sets your makeup and doesn't leave a weird color behind.
Great product.
If only the could combine the SPF 45 into THIS powder- we'd all be set!

I love this powder! No other powders leave my face so silky and smooth. Works great for a setting powder and keeps my makeup on all day. I use a big kabuki brush and lightly dust it all over. You barely need any so it lasts a very long time. It has a slight scent to it too which is very fresh and clean. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

This is unlike any powder i have used. Physicans formula, LM setting, NARS loose, Marcelle loose, many mineral powders, and many others. Now i cant compare this to MFHD powder and i know thats what you were looking for in my list but i know Emily Noel on you tube perfers this. And she has used MFHD.

This powder looks different than any other powder. I cant really discribe it but its really white and just like fluff rather than powder. that makes no sense whatsoever but its soooo fine its just like fluff? ahah

Anyways... When you apply it after foundation it like instantly dries your foundation to the most perfect finish. You can glide your finger across your face so easily, its the stangest thing to feel. It dosnt bring out any dry spots like some setting powders (LM im pointing at you!) and it makes your makeup just set perfectly.

What i dont like. This has no coverage at all. I dont think it is meant to because it would affect the magical setting powers it does. but it would be nice if it was like full coverage on top of what it does (dream on i know.)

I also HATE the lid! it screws on which is fine, whatever right. But when I tip it upside down with the lid on, the product somehow falls out. Like it dosnt seal at all.

ALSO. IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE READING THIS BEFORE YOU GET IT OR HAVE OPENED IT dont be like me and ignore this warning like i did when reading reviews before i got it. DO NOT REMOVE THE SEAL ON THE SIFTING HOLE THINGS WHERE THE POWDER COMES OUT. TAKE A PEN OR SOMETHING AND PUNCTURE HALF OF THEM! THEY ARE WAYYYY TO BIG AND WAYYY TO MUCH POWDER COMES OUT. and if your trying to put some powder back in the container, literally ALL the powder is gonna fall back in. Its just annoying.

ELF CHANGE THE LID, MAKE THE HOLES SMALLER AND FIND A WAY TO MAKE A FULL COVERAGE VERSION IN DIFFENT SHADES AND I WOULDNT HAVE TO BUY MY NARS POWDER ANYMORE. :)

I bought this because of the great price and the comparisons to the Makeup forever hd powder.i have never tried the makeup forever powder but I'm guessing that version (and more expensive version) is a finer powder. This ELF one is fine. I wouldnt say great. Even using a TINY bit makes my face look darker and to chalky. I prefer a LITTLE sheen to look more natural. I tried lightly dusting a TINY just on my tzone as well and it still doesnt really work for me. It looks better after a an hour or two when its absorb and warmed up.

This is wonderful powder! It has a soft, clean scent. Is such a fine powder it just glides on my skin and creates a flawless finish. It sets my foundation perfectly. It's cheap! The only drawbacks are the packaging. Every single time I open this product so much of it falls out, even when I'm trying my hardest to be really careful. It's bulky and takes up so much space. I really wish they'd redesign the packaging a bit. I also wish they carried this at my Target, but they don't. Ordering from E.L.F. online isn't bad, but they always take so long on shipping, and are horrible about letting you know if something is out of stock (they just don't send it). But, even though there are downsides, it's a fantastic product!

I love you, E.L.F HD Powder. If you were a man, I would offer my hand in marriage to you. You eliminate my pores, hold my oilies, give me that soft glowing look, and you don't break my bank account. It doesn't matter that your packaging suck. I'd simply leave you at home because I don't need touch up for the whole day. Or maybe I can transfer you to a different jar.

It really does it's job and makes your face feel great, the only issue is the packaging! the powder flies everywhere and I don't like that much. I've had it for almost a year and it's served me well, definitely worth the money and you get SO much product.

This is the best setting powder I've ever tried. (Granted, I haven't tried the MUFE HD powder so I can't compare.) It helps my foundation last so much longer and because of how translucent it is, it doesn't make my foundation look cakey in the least. And it's SO cheap. For $6, you get 3.6 oz, which is amazing. I will definitely re-purchase since this is the perfect setting powder and it's at such a good price.

This is first loose powder I ever tried after reading all the positive reviews. I use ELF powder brush with it and just dust it over my liquid foundation. i can see a subtle difference after wearing this loose powder. it gives my skin a nice glow and makes it look more even toned. i have normal skin so i'm not using this for oil control, but it doesn't dry out my skin either. after I purchased a mechanical curler from ELF for $1.5 and i was surprised to find out the quality for such inexpensive product far exceeded my expectation. since ELF has 50% studio line for over $20 purchase (code ECD21), I basically search the MUA website by typing ELF and ordered pretty much all the ELF products with >4 rating. with less than $30 including shipping, i tried like around 12 products from ELF and i have to say i like almost everything i got. and this powder is one of the best!

Oh.....my. My my my. Why did I wait so long to try this? Definitely HG status for me. I love the way my skin looks right after I buff it on, and the price is amazing. (I got it 50% off to boot!) I actually do like the packaging...that way I can stick it in my purse and not have the cover come off. I only snip of a corner of the sticker over the sifter, so that helps it from getting too messy.

As for oil control...I can't really say. I have an extremely oily t-zone so nothing really works for very long. I'm trying this powder along with adding MOM to my regimen, and so far they both help, but I still get oily. I guess I can't expect miracles.

This is great for a more natural look...I now prefer it to using my other powders. Only thing is, it doesn't seem to last very long on me. But that could be from my oilies. I find myself blotting w/ oil absorbing sheets and reapplying the powder twice in a day.

Overall, great product.

It leaves my face looking flawless and stops my face from looking oily. The only thing i don't like about it is that i have to twist it to open it (but that's just me being lazy), id def. repurchase!

I really like this product! It gives the skin a "soft focus" look, w/o looking white or pasty. It's good for all skin tones & types, is inexpensive and super finely milled. I swatched it on my boyfriend (he's very dark African American) and it was totally translucent (I actually want to try it on his face bc he gets shiny, but I doubt he'll let me LMAO!)
I also like the package, the design is pretty standard for loose powder. I only remove half the tape, so the product isn't as messy ;)
I've only swatched the MUFE HD and another one in Sephora so I can't compare them wear-wise but to me the quality is pretty close. Comparing prices, it's obvious to see what's a better deal. Even compared to general translucent powders, it's still less money. I paid full price of $6, which for E.L.F is expensive but overall is cheap! I recommend this to anyone wanting to try an HD powder.

Love this stuff - prefer it to bare escentuals mineral veil even. It is absolutely translucent. It is a very fine powder which gives me a beautiful smooth, pore minimizing finish. Price is great!

I heard this was a dupe/comparable to the MUFE HD Microfinish Powder, so I thought I would try it out. I use it over my foundation with my own powder brush because it gives me better control of the amount of product used. It leaves my skin feeling silky soft and smooth because it is so finely milled and leaves my skin looking matte too. It doesn't leave my skin feeling chalky and doesn't leave a white cast since it is translucent, so suitable for all skin-tones in my opinion. I didn't give it 5 lippy's because the packaging can be a little messy, and it is hard to tell how much you have left.

THIS IS SO MESSY!!!!!! seriously.....I can't open it without 3/4 of the powder spilling out allllll over the lid. It is SO annoying, other than that, it works well. I'm gonna de-pot it and put it into something else...

I bought this last year and LOVED IT!!
Just recently purchased it again and I noticed that the container that I bought is only like 1/4th full with the powder...? It's so empty. Was that the same as everyone else?
