I realy liked this foundation at first, I even got compliments about how good it looked but only because the one i was using before was complete crap. Anyway, I went to the store and got matched by a consultant and she gave me the color "sand beige", now I'm an NC40 in MAC meaning I have crazy yellow undertones but the girl still gave me the sand beige color. Everything was fine for a while, even though it didn't match me I still wore it because it didn't break me out and the powder she gave me made the product a little lighter so it wasn't a big deal. Anyway after about a month the color turned COMPLETELY orange and I'd swatch it on my hand and you could tell that there was no way this could have possibly matched my face, I felt horrible wearing it. I had to wash off my face before leaving the house a few times because the color was so bad. At first it was easy to blend and put on but then it just became this horrible liquidy mess that wouldn't blend onto your skin no matter how hard you tried. Like the other reviewer said, it would just stay on top of the skin, not to mention that whatever came near your face ended up covered in the foundation. I tried to talk to a representative online and her best advice was to "put the makeup on your face and not your hand". That was pretty much the last straw, never again, clinique.

This foundation is okay at best. I got color matched 3 times and all 3 were incorrect. Everything in Clinique is too pink for my neutral skin. But that's not a deal breaker for me because I was just setting it with a yellow undertoned powder. What really made me dislike this foundation is how dry this made my skin while allowing it to still look like an oily mess. Foundations that make my face so dry it burns to touch my face are not keepers. And neither are ones that make my face just as oily as moisturizing foundations. Ones that do BOTH go back to the store and that's exactly what happened with this one.
But it didn't cause any breakouts and coverage was okay. So that's why I still give it a 3.

This foundation did not work for me at all. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the foundation to blend into my skin. I tried my BeautyBlender sponge and several foundation brushes. Nothing worked. The foundation settled into my pores and stayed on top of my skin no matter how much I tried to blend it in. I never got beyond my bathroom since I had to wash the foundation off and start over whenever I tried to wear it so I can't say anything about the finish or if it truly does stay matte throughout the day.

This product claims it is a sheer to moderate coverage, which it is, but with the Elf flat-top powder brush, it gives me perfect coverage. I bought it in 6, Ivory, and it is my exact shade in the summer. It blends very easily, and doesn't dry quickly like the Revlon CS. It evens out my skin tone, keeps my super oily skin matte for about 5-7 hours, and stays fresh looking all day. I use a moisturizer, a primer, this foundation, a concealer, and a translucent powder to set it all, and it looks flawless. I have mild acne, so it covers the redness. It is a cheap price ($24ish) for a high end foundation, but for me being a drugstore buyer, this was the most money I've ever spent on makeup. I'm glad I invested in it! I am really impressed. The only cons are that it can be a bit drying, the coverage is sheer, there is no SPF, and there is a small smell. Not too bad, though. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I recommend this for my oily-skinned girls, that have minor to no acne. However, this is not my holy grail foundation, because of the (somewhat) expensive price. I found a drugstore foundation that I love even more. (Check out my review for the revlon colorstay whipped creme foundation.)

This foundation is amazing, I've been looking for something simple and fast for my face that won't make me brake out. This is it! I use this daily without a powder, it keeps me matte and last all day. The product is thick and a bit dry if that makes sense, and this is great for covering acne scars. I don't go over scars with concealer that just takes too long so I dab a little extra foundation on those problem areas and that does the trick. I've learned how to apply this product I always put moisturizer before I apply anything on my face but I make sure the moisterizer is completely dry before I put this foundation. I've noticed it creates more of a matte finish this way. If I become a little oily durring the day I dab lightly and nothing is transfered to tissue paper. I've used this with Perfectly Real compact and it works well with that powder for extra matte finish that last forever. This is my favorite foundation, keeps my face even and clear and last longer than more expensive foundations. I bought this for around 24 bucks in "8 Golden Neutral" this does contain a bit more of a reddish tone than I'm used to but I love this product so much I don't care, you can barely tell anyway. Wonderful product!

Not the best...
Starting with the shade choice: I purchase this in Golden Neutral. I'm an NC30 (lightest) and tan to an NC40 by the end of the summer. The golden neutral would be more suitable for an in between NC30 and 35. I was hoping this would have more yellow, but I guess the "neutral" in the shade suggests otherwise. My NC30 Pro longwear has more yellow which suits my skin tone much better. In natural light it is obvious the golden neutral does not match the strong yellow undertones of my chest and neck. Indoor, no difference.
Longevity of matte finish: After application, the finish is a nice natural matte finish. I still set with another mattifying finishing powder for reassurance. Unfortunately, my oily skin breaks this down sooner than I would like. Oily within two to three hours, past point of saving with a blot powder.
How to apply: Stipple, then buff with a Sigma F80 (<---- worth the hype!)
Consistency: The gel-like consistency is ideal, and I had high hopes for it. The coverage is light to medium. If applied in thin layers, this can be built to a medium.
I don't reach for this much; It was a reasonable price and I wish that I loved it. My face is too oily, and too yellow for this foundation.

So I decided to try this since I had bad luck with the acne solutions, perfectly real, and even better foundations. First.. It sucks to blend. I have used a sponge, brush, and my fingers and I just can't get this to work. Even worse, after about three hours, my pores are highlighted, it looks extremely oily and cakey, and I have foundation missing off areas of my face. Sigh, so I'm saying bye bye to this as well.

So let me preface this review by saying that I'm totally not the demographic for this makeup AT ALL - I'm dry, I like dewy skin, and I seldom use anything with decent coverage.
That said, I got a sample of this stuff and of course I had to try it (hey, free = viable). The sample was easily two shades darker than my normal skintone so I sheered it out with a tiny bit of some super-light tinted moisturizer. Lo and behold, my skin looked fantastic and stayed looking nice all day! It didn't suck all the moisture out of my skin or settle into pores. And it wasn't chalky-matte, either - just looked fresh all day long. If I was in the market for matte I'd definitely go for this one.

I love this foundation! I went to my local make up store and was color matched as 7. I love the creamy gel texture which makes it super easy to apply. It stays all day and provides me with moderate coverage. I have very oily skin and it Definitley controls the shine. Works great for me!

This is an OK founation. I prefer the acne solutions to this. Its better in terms of coverage and oil control. I have this in golden and its a better shade match for me than fresh amber in acne solutions.
The one issue I have with this formula is that it can settle into fine lines. I am 25 and just startign to get some and this emphasizes them. I can get extremely oily and when I blot and apply powder on top, it can settle into lines. The acne solutions does not do that.
I am not sure if I will repurchase; might if acne solutions gets discontinued(NOOOOOOO!!!!)
