I really like the texture of this foundation because I have such oily skin. It dries to a matte smooth finish. I also like that there's so many shades to choose from, and it's easy to match your skin tone. The only thing I don't like is that it's very sheer; it works almost like a tinted moisturizer for me.

Although I am a bit of a foundation junkie, I have repurchased this product many times over the years. As someone with exceptionally pale skin, I love the large selection of colours and tones (they even offer shades pale enough for me, and I am paler than most people I've met who have red hair!).
The liquid blends easily and gives me medium coverage, though it is build-able (one layer covers acne scars and redness, while another will conceal undereye circles and current blemishes). I apply with my fingers if I am in a hurry or a sponge dipped in moisturizer if I know I will be having my photo taken. The application is pretty well fool-proof, as it does not cake unless you trowel it on.
I always make sure to moisturize well, as it can emphasize dry patches, but I have pretty dry skin, so that is a must whatever foundation I use.
The packaging makes it a little difficult to travel with (I have had the cap twist off in my purse from time to time, which makes quite a mess), but as I always apply my makeup with clean hands, I haven't had a problem with bacteria.
Overall, I would consider this to be one of my favourite foundations and I expect that I will continue to purchase it for years to come.

I travelled from Malaysia to the states for a month vacation.I dropped by the drugstore in Virginia to search for a cheaper foundation as I was vy disappointed with my expensive laura mercier oil free foundation, which was too cakey, yellow and dull to my medium fair skin. The SA wrongly gave me instead of a moisturising porcelain foundation, which i used to love it.

I was pretty amazed that this Loreal foundation as it was much better than the oil free LM that I bought as it was not as dry as LM,I looked great on a photo too if only the coverage could have stayed on longer.

However,I won't repurchase it again as it is kind of matte powder finsih instead of satin though, it glides on easily upon application. It didnt last long as I hated it esp when it faded on my T zone area or blothcy on my dry cheeks. It could be rather embarrasing when I realised after meeting people. It was pretty obvious on the uneven patches due to its short staying power despite I used Chanel as the make up base.

Will try out Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser porcelain or Kanebo Water foundation which people raved about its staying power & moist!

I liked this product. It blends very well into my skin, and the color matched very well. However, it looked cakey, and matte!!! I wanted to look dewey and refreshed, not dry and stale. It also irritated my skin. I will not purchase again.

I love that they have so many shades to offer because i just want a very natural even skin look. This foundation is great for that. Its generally pretty easy to blend, the finish is good, and the whole application aspect is good. However the wearing is what made me take lippies off. (I have oily skin in my t-zone, i apply this at about 7 Am, set with powder and dont do any touch ups during my 6-7 hour day.) This Foundation does not last, my oil comes right through and IT TRANSFERS SO BAD. Transferring is a big deal for me cuz with changeing out for gym, putting jackets on, blowing my nose etc it all just rubs off. I would touch up but this is just not practical for me. Believe me i would spend hours in the bathroom if i could but i just dont have time for such a high matenence foundation. It it also expensive for a drugstore fdn and i wish it had a pump. If it lasted, helped with my oilyness, and didnt transfer this would be a great foundation. So if you have hours a day to touch up and fix all the rubbed off parts then maybe give this a try.

Well this used to be my HG foundation..
I don't use products tested on animals so I found a cheaper and way better foundation (Almay) anyways...
I have tried this in W2 and N2, W2 is a better match tho.
The reason why this foundation is everywhere is because it comes in so many shades..but Formula-wise it's ho-hum and i dont think its worth the almost $20 I paid for it.
This is very drying and attaches to dry spots and may make your skin look sort of..chalky..
As well they've changed the formula and I feel it's too sheer. I dont have that bad of skin and i felt it wasnt enough coverage. The formula is too liquidy and it CREASES!!! like no tomorrow...
The packaging is messy and its also glass so you end up wasting a lot at the end.

this foundation is really disappointing because the color match is SO good. i am very pale with slight...oliveish...undertones and it is almost impossible to find a good color match in terms of concealer and foundation. everything is either too pink or too yellow. N1 in this foundation matched me perfectly tho - blended right into my skin with no obvious lines or streaks. it also felt natural on my face - not heavy at all.
the factors that killed it for me with this stuff are as follows -
1. it is not hydrating whatsoever. in fact, it emphasized any slight dry patch i had on my face and i believe may have even created new ones.
2. the finish is dull and matte & chalky looking. not flattering.
3. it literally disappears after an hour of wearing it. i don't need or expect a foundation to last endlessly, but it seriously looked good/decent enough for about 45 minutes after applying it and then. bam. nothing.

it's really too bad, because the color selection is pretty bomb. if only they'd change the formula....

i bought this foundation because i was tired of foundations that sort of match my skin but didn't look right because of the undertone. i have light skin with freckles and i'm a little more towards the warm side. it's hard for me to identify the color of my skin in foundations so i thought that the best bet would be to compare the lighter colors with the different undertones and see which one would match best. the neutral one was still on the pink-whitish side, and the warmer one was a tad too yellow, but i bought it anyway thinking that in the drugstore the matches look differently in florescent lighting... and also worse comes to worst i can mix the warm foundation with some of my old foundations and customize a shade. the product looked promising and i was excited about the large selection of shades. i thought i'd fine my HG foundation finally! but i was wrong...
the foundation was fine in terms of application... the coverage is really sheer but somewhat buildable, so i thought that i'll be able to work with it. the packaging is annoying - i wish it had a pump. without one i just end up pouring so much product that goes to waste...oh... and it's too liquidy...
my biggest issue is what happens to the foundation after an hour or two... it creases and becomes greasy, and droplets start melting off your face (for references, i did set the foundation with powder and finishing powder... the ones i always use and had no problems with). it wasn't a hot day and i wasn't sweaty so what did that happen? must be a problem with the formula. this really ruined it for me...
the price is also high for drugstore foundations...
loreal- please step it up.

First day I used this product I was in love, however every application after that no so much. Doesn't stay on for long or cover well. But the colour match system is good.
