One of my most first prized possessions include Revlon Super Lustruous l/s in Skinlight. I specially love the shade!!! Since I always go for the 'natural' look, this one really suits me. It's like wearing nothing on...very simple yet beautiful! It doesn't live up to its name that well though, since the lustruousness of the lipstick is not that super, as Revlon claims it to be. But I would still repurchase it b/c I love it!

I have this in Mauve Myst I believe. Its a beautiful soft, subtle, and sheer mauvey pink, a YLBB color. The formula is really creamy and this does stay put for a while. Afterwords it leaves a nice tint to my lips.

Okay. So this line has some cool colors, but there are plenty of lipsticks that have even larger and nicer color selections. So there you go, there's the only pro about this lipstick. Seriously, how long's it been around?! Exactly how many decades?! And it's the same ancient, primitive formula! Well, at least to my knowledge. It reminds me of a crayon. It's not creamy, it stains the lips terribly, and it's just generally very crappy. And, like all revlon lipsticks, it's really hard and crayon-like. The tube is ugly as hell, too. And cheap. The packaging looks so cheap. The price is average, I guess, for a drugstore lipstick. And no, I've never bought a super lustrous lipstick after they reportedly re-formulated it last fall, so it might be a really good product now -- I don't know.

I have the color "Apricot Fantasy" and I love it! It's like a light peach, frosty beigy color. It's hard to explain. I wear it all year. I'm not a fan of dark lipstick colors. This color also looks great with a tan. I also love the shades "Silver City Pink" and "Softshell Pink".

Forget all of my $20 lipsticks - Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in BERRY RICH is the color that I pull out when I am going out on a hot night-time date and want to pull out all the stops! (I am a YLBB sheer lippy type of gal by day.) I am a brunette with Light/Med Golden-Olive toned skin, I have green eyes (w/a bit of blue in them as well), and this makes them absolutely pop! Makes my night-time lips look lush, juicy and sexy without looking overly harsh or dramatic. I hope Revlon never stops making this color!

I usually don't review this way (I usually do it by color) but every shade of this I've tried is great! It is long-lasting & not drying at all. I love bali brown, rosewine, deep nude, & copper sunset! These are the best lippies I've tried! Wish the package was more exciting though!

I really do not like this lipstick. Although the smell is not as bad as it used to be, it's still unpleasant. It does not glide well over the lips, it feels waxy and very uncomfortable.
It's way overpriced for the crap that it is.

Super Lustrous lipstick has been a favorite staple for years. I think the shades and pigments are the best for drugstore lipsticks. I use Outlast sometimes instead now because I can count on it all day at work - but - I still like these shades and the aesthetics of this product's packaging better.

Revlon did change the gross scent of these and now they smell and taste normal. Sometimes I pick out a color that's too dark or frosty, but there are some pale colors and Limited Edition colors that I'm satisfied with.

I just picked this up in Fleshtone. It is matte and is a great nude color, looks really good on my pale pale skin, probably does a bit less for darker skinned gals. A good neutral to go with darker eyes. It does tend to feel dry but I just mix it with some gloss. You really can't beat the colors of Revlon for drugstore brand. And this lipstick reminds me of my mother and my Long Island youth, I've been wearing coffee bean since the age of 13 when brown lipstick became all the rage. Also, they must have changed the formula because the smell and taste are very slight.

I've been using Revlon Lustrous Lipsticks for years. Maybe I'm just used to the taste and the scent but they're really great as a no fuss, inexpensive lipstick.

I'm in the minority here, but I've been wearing these for years (shall I say decades?) & have always found them to be good basic products. There are colors that you won't find elsewhere. I also grew up with scented makeup - believe it or not, it wasn't too long ago that it was considered a mark of quality - so it never bothered me. These are often on sale at drugstores, & it's a great way to get into a seasonal trend or try something you don't usually wear.

If anyone has any old Revlon lipsticks lying about, they most likely by now have that terribly heavy perfume scent. Revlon makes beautiful colors, but the taste and scent become a problem (the newer ones aren't as bad) and they literally make me choke--the scent gets in my throat and it's impossible to wear them without coughing. It's a shame!

UPDATE: new lippy rating: 5, 1 and 5. Date:4/12/05:
Great lipstick that has improved to perfection! No more heavy perfume taste or scent (which use to make me cough), wonderful smooth color and a great inexpensive, good quality item! I have this in Wine with Everything (and as far as that goes the color has changed from what it used to be which was a dark dark red wine, now it's almost a pure true red, but it's still beautiful!) Plus the new casing is terrific because you can see the color with out taking the top off the tube!

I am totally diggin Winter Rose which is a limited edition color. I love that it lasts awhile and it doesnt fade a bad color like i have heard some gals talking about with some lipsticks. It is just a little drying but heck the color and its lasting power are just what i want

Hurray!!!! We complained, and Revlon listened!!!

Earlier this fall, Revlon re-released their Super Lustrous lipstick in a new, revamped formula. This means *no more nasty smell*, or dry lips. I recently picked up Winter Rose, from the Winter 2002 collection of the same name. This is a cream rose shade that looks great on my PPP skin. It's being sold as a "retro" color collection, and is a color reminiscent of the 40's without being garish. It also lasts quite well- from work until lunch with no bleeding or flaking.

I am very pleased with Revlon's new formulation. Finally, I can try other colors without fear!

I don't know if the previous reviewer was using the old version, but the newer ones have no taste that I can detect and are great otherwise.

Some of the colors are nice, but I find the taste of the lipstick disgusting... enough to make me not want to wear it.

I really like Revlon's super lustrous lipsticks. It is my staple lipstick. I use it in a variety of colors, but Bali Brown is my favorite color. Through the years I've tried a many different lipsticks, most more expensive than Revlon but none better. Revlon super lustrous lipstick works best for me -- good colors, goes on even, doesn't smear, longlasting.
