I love this brown! It's a very warm, plummy, coppery brown. I've been looking for a color like this. I'll definately buy it again if I ever run out.

I'm always changing my mind about this shadow, but now I've decided that it is a great crease colour with champagne shades.

Gorgeous color in the pan and on my hand. Boring, muddy-looking color on my green/hazel eyes. Crumbly texture, got on my cheeks.

I love Sable! Its one of my staples for a nudish eye! This is a very plummy bronze and works well with prunella as an e/l. I use this nearly everyday at work! I like to use this with either vanilla pigment or stila kitten as a base, sable in the lid then line with either e/k or a dark purple e/s. Complete with a slick of mascara and you'll have the prettiest eyes ever!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I use this as an everyday color. In the winter when my skin is light or in the summer when I'm tanned this works well. I have pretty oily skin and this stays put pretty much all day. I usually pair this with vanilla on my brow bone, sable from crease to upper lash line as well as lower lash line. Two coats of mascara and your done!
Age: 36-43 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
My favorite way to wear this is in the crease and smudged under lower lashes. (A good combo: Malt on the lid, Sketch to line uppers, Shroom to highlight.) I waited so long to get it because everytime I swiped it on my hand, I thought it looked too similar to Mulch, which I already had. But this is a softer and more complex color without Mulch's more intense sparkle. Very versatile. I hesitate to depot, though, because it seems softer than most of my other MAC shadows. Maybe it's my imagination. Consider this if Satin Taupe was too cool or too frosty for you.

Finally a MAC product I can use on my face! Hurray! I went to the counter looking for an eyeshadow color with impact but was secretly hoping they wouldn't bring out the blue, orange or bright purple they all seemed to be wearing. What a nice surprise when this was presented. Goes really well with my Clinique lipstick in "Surprise". I have brown hair and eyes and get nothing but compliments when I wear it. Great stuff and not extreme! My new staple color.

This is a great quality product, the color just didn't work for me, too warm, copper-tint. I should've gone for Satin Taupe first...nice shimmer, for someone else, lotsa lippies.

Holy....wow. I'm a MAC eyeshadow addict and I know why. They just have a knack for creating colors that make my eyes look incredible. Sable isn't a boring brown, it has dimensions of plum and pink, copper, and taupe. In some combinations it takes on a purple tone. It is similar to Artjam paint, which I also love. Today I combined Sable with Shale and Vex, and my blue/green eyes look outrageously blue. Love this!
Age: 44-55 Skin: Dry, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
Sable is a beautiful shimmery brown, not too dark and not too light. It shows up just right on me and gives me a natural look. I am a blue-eyed blonde. This is a great daytime color and it is a MAC shadow, so that means it is silky and long-lasting. Definitely one of my faves.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
What a gorgeous color and beautiful silky texture. For a person that finds brown eyeshadow difficult to wear, this one is wonderful. I love it paired with Retrospeck when I want to put in some effort, or on its own as a sheer shimmery brown wash with some mascara for a polished look. I would recommend to any brown eyed MMM-GGG.

Really nice frosty satin like purple. Looks great with Sketch.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Green
This shadow is going to be one of my new favorite brown. Kind of a bronze-y brown with plum shimmer. Hard to describe but it is a great shimmery neutral for someone like me who has trouble finding a brown that is not too warm or too cool. This is just right.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
Great e/s for the crease! I'm a LLL and on me it's a nice light greyish/warm mauve but very light and leaves a nice color in the crease. I would say I use this 2-3 times a week. A very good staple e/s for a business professional look or it could be used as a wash and an e/s like sketch or folie in the crease.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Hazel
Great color for my hazel eyes.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
I love this color (copper, reddish brown shimmer), in terms of the shade. Unfortunately, it is a very soft eye shadow and shattered easily when my makeup bag fell on the floor (I'm in a wheelchair, so it fell only a short distance). The second one I bought b/c the other one broke was also very soft. From that stand point it just wasn't worth it. It does work great in the crease to intensify a look.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
Sable is a pretty shimmery copper. It sometimes looks pink and plum when reflected off light. This e/s is also highly pigmented and very blendable. A new found favorite from MAC.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
To me, this shadow is merely average. It's a light shimmery bronzy brown with pink/plum undertones. Is the e/s version of Artjam Paint (I know, I tried Artjam Paint on one lid and Sable on the other, and they're almost identical, although Artjam has more depth). I hardly wear this and would not buy again.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Acne-prone, Olive Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
Sable is one of my favorite MAC shades. A beautiful shimmery boinzey/brown shade that looks beautiful in a smoky look paired with hush and jest. Last forever, easy to blend, top quality.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Brunette Eyes: Hazel
Like another reviewer said, a very warm, shimmery brown with pink/red undertones---I'd imagine that "warm" or "cool" complexions could wear it equally well, and it makes green or hazel eyes POP! I'm usually uncomfortable making my eyes look dark or smoky, but this is SO pretty! My husband actually did a double-take when he saw my eyes with this on, and he was full of compliments.
