Have been using it for 9 months and i must say my hair has become more silky and managable than ever and i absolutely love the minty smell. But the downfall to this product is wen i comb through my wet hair there r soo many fallouts and also it runs out quickly since my hair is long so it needs more pumps. If you have long thick hair I advise using a regular shampoo first then using Wen as a regular conditioner or a leave in conditioner instead of using Wen as a regular shampoo.

I have medium blonde hair with highlights that is just above bra strap length. My hair is medium texture and medium thickness with a slight wave.

I tried wen for the first time in April and have been using it since. It took me a while to find what worked for me. I did as instructed at first and found my hair was too greasy. So, I again, did as instructed and used MORE. Still greasy. I also did not like how LONG I had to be in the shower. I am an in-and-out kind of gal in the shower... all of the pre-rinsing, massaging, rinse like mad after... it was too much for me.

I then tried using shampoo again, following up with wen just as a daily conditioner. Liked that combo a lot but wanted to try one more time to use just ONE product in the shower for my hair.

By this time since I had purchased the large 32oz size. The pump makes a difference as you get more product per pump (I can't stand how long it takes to get the desired amount of product out of the smaller pumps!). I now have what I think is the perfect system for me. I rinse my hair as usual, then do 5 pumps for the top half of my head and 5 pumps on the length. Massage and finger comb, leave in while cleaning the rest of my body, then rinse.

I will say that I absolutely HATE how the pump tube does not reach the bottom of the bottle. I have to drain the end of the bottle into a small ziplock baggie and after using some of the new bottle, I cut the end of the baggie and squirt it in like cake frosting! It works well, but it's annoying that I have to do it. I realize with a pump getting all of the product out is not possible, but seriously, there's at least an 8th or more of the product still in the bottle.

Anyway... all in all I think you really have to experiment with this stuff before dismissing it. I'm glad I did as I really like the product now that I have my own method.

This is a unique way to cleanse and condition the hair but in my humble opinion the product is way overpriced and the results for me were just so so. I didn't like the way my hair or scalp felt at all, it really never felt clean or refreshed and you do have to use a lot of product to do it properly.

I so wanted to like this item but, my experience leaves me unable to recommend it. I'm back to my usual routine and my hair is clean, healthy, shiny and manageable.

I have long, naturally curly hair that is definitely on the dry side (and I live in dry climate). My hair is always in need of moisture. For years I have been washing every 2 or 3 days with shampoo followed by conditioner. On the days I don't shampoo, I used whatever conditioner I had on hand to wash and condition my hair.

Last year I had purchased Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner and used it off and on during the days I condition only. About five months ago I started my own use it up challenge and put my last two Wen Cleansing Conditioners to the forefront. I was only using Wen during the days I condition only. After a few months, I had used both bottles and proceeded back to my old routine of using whatever conditioner I had on hand during the days I conditioned only. I did this for years and I was happy. However, after using Wen exclusively for those months I noticed a DRASTIC difference in my hair. It was nasty. It was ugly. After 3 days of living without Wen I went online and reordered at QVC. Use it up challenge be danged; I can't live without my Wen.

Sweet Almond Mint is my favorite scent but I love Fig as well. It conditions and cleanses my hair my dry hair. I am thoroughly pleased with this product and cannot live without it. I still shampoo about twice a week only because I use styling products on my hair and I just don't feel like it's clean without a shampoo. However, I do know many ladies online who use Wen Cleansing Cream exclusively and after a month the hair neither needs nor wants anything else.

I do wish that there were more avenues of purchasing Wen other than QVC (such as Sephora) because I'd love free shipping!

This stuff is good, but way to expensive and you really don't need to use as much as they recommend. I looked at the ingredients and discovered Aura has a mint conditioner that you can get at sally's that does the same thing to my hair - even with no shampoo. I think maybe the mint has the cleansing property. I would buy it on clearance somewhere - but $30 a month is rediculous.

I really love this stuff! My only complaint is that it really lengthens the amount of time I spend washing my hair, since you really want to rinse very thoroughly. When you pump it out, it's really thick, but as soon as you put it into your hair, it just disappears! I have fairly healthy hair too, so it's not like it was so dry it sucked it all up! I don't shower and wash my hair, I just wash my hair, so I'm not leaving it in very long, but I still find it to be very moisturizing and makes my hair feel wonderful! I'm not greasy at all by the end of the day. I haven't tried skipping a day yet, which I'd love to do, but I haven't noticed my hair feeling oily by the end of the day.

I love this stuff. It's made a world of difference in my dry, coarse hair--making it soft, shiny and easy to manage.

It's expensive, but it's also the only product I use [no conditioners, leave-ins or styling products.] I have thick hair and use *much less* than the recommended amount. I use between 5-7 pumps for each "shampoo" and that more than enough.

Give it a try. With QVC, you have a 30-day guarantee.

Got the sample pack of this to try. It was pretty expensive thou, but was worth giving a try. So out of the sample pack i picked the Sweet Almond Mint one, i dont know how people cant like the smell, i think it smells awesome. Anyways... i followed the instructions(my hair is thin), and drenched my hair, combed through it, did 6 pumps on top, bottom, left, and right. ran my comb through it, put it up, and finished with the rest of my shower. Then i rinsed it out very well, while running my comb through it. Then followed with half a pump as a leave in conditioner.
the results were amazing! never has my hair been this soft and pretty looking. no lie! and it doesnt make your hair greasy in anyway, but just right.

i will admit that this product is pretty expensive, but I honestly think its worth every penny.

I watched the informercial for this product for months, and got sucked into them but never actually gave in to buying the product. I went to visit my sister and told her I was thinking of trying this but I hadn't bought it. She happened to have 2 bottles of it and gave one to me! So, I was jazzed to get a bottle of this to try, basically as a gift. I am Asian, with longish, dark, straight hair. It doesn't curl, ever. I only heat-style it for special occasions. I do color it, at least to color my grays, and sometimes do highlights. My complaint with my hair is that it seems limp and lifeless. It also has a mind of its own---to hang forever straight.

I use the Wen as follows: rinse thoroughly. This cannot be overstated! Rinse rinse rinse. Then I apply about 12 pumps of Wen to my hair at the roots. I gently massage it in. Then I do the rest of my shower: wash the rest of my body, shave legs, wash face, etc. Then I run some water onto my head and let the work the Wen down along the length of my hair for a minute or so and then rinse, rinse, rinse out. When my shower is done, I squeeze the excess water from my hair. Then, I work 1 pump into my still-damp hair. I did notice some of my hair fell out, but no more than with a traditional shampoo. I don't think it's any more trouble to use than a conventional shampoo. I am thinking of transferring the product to another bottle, since the straw doesn't reach the bottom and I don't want to waste any of this stuff.

I LOVE the way my hair looks, feels, and behaves! It is soft, shiny, silky, and more manageable. I did heat-style my hair one day, and my hair was behaving like it did in the salon! Now that I have tried this, I would like to purchase a bottle. What I may end up doing is asking for this as a gift. I am thinking of trying the cucumber flavor as well. I don't think I was really bowled over at the scent of the SAM, but it grew on me.

I think what really surprised me is that even though I have oily hair (I have enough oil in my hair that the USDOD could tell OPEC to KISS OFF!), somehow this product did NOT weigh down my hair! So I think that even oily-haired ladies can use this with success!

Wow, wow, WOW! Color me impressed. I have SUPER-fine hair and this is a holy grail product. I followed the instructions exactly and I cannot believe how soft, shiny and manageable my hair is! I still don't understand how it can be so well-conditioned and yet not at all weighed down.

To be honest, I found that my hair (which is shoulder-length) is so fine that I only had to use 3-4 pumps per section) Just an amazing product.

Please take a chance and try this. Meanwhile I'll be gearing up to buy the biggest bottle of Sweet Almond Mint I can find :)

I also had tried the WEN and was ready to send it back, but kept remembering I had read to give it a chance. Since i had gotten it from a tv shopping place, I kept it one more week.
I love it. I have tried both the Lavender and the Sweet almond mint and have mixed them at times. There is a learning curve, to find the right amt. to use and to get used to it. It didn't bother me that there isn't lather. Just different. But I have been using Shu Uemura cleansing oil for over 5 yrs and never thought I would use an oil to clean my face.
So how bad can it be??
I have short fine hair. Used to be oily, not so much dry as I only blow dry my hair w/Ionic dryer , no perms, just highlights and always have used Salon products on my hair. I don't need to use as many pumps on my hair, but do make sure I use enough.
I always use my other shampoo once a week, as i do think the buildup needs to be washed out.
I don't care for any of the styling producxt or the newest spray, they tend to make my hair limp. Maybe I am not using them right, but sticking to my keihl's for that.
It is a bit expensive, but since I just spent over $100 getting highlights, I take allot of medications that wreck my skin, and always have had fine thin hair what would it hurt?? And I just ordered the gallon size, and hubby uses the .99cent brand, it evens out. LOL
May not be for everyone. I do take 5min to work it through my scalp, and I think this step needs to be done, and then I wrap my hair for another 5 min.
Even the next day, my hair is even easier to work with. I will use a dry shampoo and looks great for the day.

Not a bad product, but so far not impressed with the results. First of all, I'm not really a fan of the smell. But more importantly I have really thick hair, so I'm using a lot of pumps as recommended, but still not much better than any other product I've tried. Will continue the rest of the bottle to see if results improve, if not I don't plan on repurchasing.

My hair is just past my shoulders, dry, frizzy and thinning, its normally a lot of hard work and dries curly and I tend to have more bad hair days than good.
I got my Wen package 2 days ago and have used the shampoo twice so far. The first day I used as little as i could which was about 10 pumps and then used 1 pump as a leave in conditioner just before I got out the shower. It took quite a lot of work to wash my hair (I followed the instructions from one of the videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/wenbychazdean) it took a bit of time but I thought it would be worth it if it cut down on my styling time after. Anyway, I didn't shed much hair at all which is a def plus and my scalp felt nice and tingly. I just let my hair air dry and it was ok, it was a little frizzy. Last night I went swimming and had to wash my hair again (used about 18 pumps this time), I ended up sleeping on my wet hair (bad, I know!) and this morning I woke up with pretty decent hair and NO TANGLES!!! I've just straightened it and it looks pretty good!

I'll update after I've used it more.

Oh and I forgot to mention, this stuff makes your hair SO soft!!! Oh and Sally's has a version of this for $10 a bottle so I'll probably buy that next time!

I started using WEN a few years ago. It took me some time to get used to not having a product that foams up but honestly, this stuff is awesome. I have thin, fine hair so using a thick conditioner tends to make my hair greasy. I also have to wash everyday. This stuff makes it easy to do that.

This is how I use it: (I have an angled bob right now so I don't need that much product)

I wet my hair for about 5 minutes then use about 5 pumps and massage it into the back of my hair first.. Then another 5 pumps massaged into the front and top of my hair. I comb my fingers through and get the roots and ends good and coated. If I feel I need more WEN I typically will add 2-5 more pumps. I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes while I finish my other routines and then I add a bit of water, lather the product up and rinse, rinse, rinse.

I think people have problems with WEN if they don't rinse well. The thing to remember is to RINSE RINSE RINSE.

Btw, My son is biracial... has an inbetween hair texture that is very curly. He has used nothing but WEN for several years. The results on his hair are amazing. Soft, shiny, and no dreading.

I have medium length, fine hair. I am constantly looking for a hair product that will give me body but not weigh my hair down..... It is very important to read and understand the instructions prior to using this product. Per the instructions, you must use A LOT of conditioner. The first time I used it, my hair turned out just "okay" Didn't really feel any softer than when I use a Pantene shampoo. Blow dried and styled my hair... found that I did have more body. A couple of days later I washed my hair again. Used the same amount of cleanser but this time my hair came out a bit greasy at the roots and there seemed to be more flyaways. Will continue to use this product for at least another week but not totally convinced that it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I have been using this stuff on my bra length hennaed wavy hair (greasy roots and tendency to dry ends) for over two months now, and I am already stressing about running out before I can source more!

My hair was in good condition before I started with this stuff, but it is even softer now, gleaming, frizz free and HEALTHY. My colour has lasted better, whereas I usually have it cut every 3 months because of split ends, now I can barely find any. I would guess that my split ends are developing about 80-90% more slowly.

I think that is pretty d**ned impressive.

I wet my hair THOROUGHLY, apply about 35 pumps, massage through very well, then either shower slowly, or sit in the gym's jacuzzi for 20 mins, then rinse it off. I air dry, applying one or two pumps to my dried hair if it shows any sign of frizz. About every 8 washes I use another shampoo because over time it can get a wee bit flat. A single wash with a good shampoo (using Wen as a conditioner) resets it to full body.

2x16oz bottles are probably going to last me 10 weeks, which is going to cost £5 a week, including the styling cream and intensive treatment that I don't use. The only way it can be bought in the UK is via Guthy Renker (or DIY importing from the U.S.)

That seems pretty expensive, until I calculate that I am going to have fewer haircuts to get rid of the split ends and will colour less frequently.

And then, of course, I have to factor in that my hair is the best it has been for over 20 years.

Overall, fantastic product and very good value.

A girlfriend of mine gave me a sample of this cleanser and honestly I think it's superb! I have fine, straight, color treated hair and this didn't weigh my hair down AT ALL. It also brightened my color. My hair was soft, bouncy, manageable and actually had a bit more volume even without any styling products. My hair was so soft that it did have a little bit of fly aways but I smoothed on a little After Party (very little) and the fly aways were tamed. I used the cleanser for two days then used my regular shampoo and conditioner (Bed Head Moisture Maniac) to test out the difference. HUGE difference, I'm ordering some Wen of my own.

Oh and I want to add, my hair and my friend's hair are totally different and it worked great for both of us. She has coarse, wavy African American hair and (like I stated above) I have fine, straight "Caucasian" hair. Brought out the color for both of us, gave us body and made a significant difference in the texture of her hair. Her waves were way more defined than with her regular shampoo. Give it a try and see, I know it's not for everyone but it's worth a shot. If it worked for both my gf and I, it may work for you!

I will report back later if I see any long term benefits.

yes its expensive but I only have to wash my hair every other day with it so it will last longer for me, it makes my hair super soft and beautiful
I love the smell, the negatives for me are, cost, and time consuming, but again only doing it a few times a week isnt bad, I have a video review too on at www.youtube.com/user/starbound25 that says basically the same thing LOL but you can see my hair! I recommend it

Let me say that it took me a few weeks to really figure out how to best use this product with my hair. I have thick, dry, color-treated hair, and this product has made it soft, curly, and bouncy!!!

I was using too much product in the first few weeks, and did not rinse enough. It made my hair course and frizzy.

I rinse it really well, then put a drop of jojoba oil in my hair, and it curls up and is soo super soft.

At first I was excited - could this really be the answer to all my hair care issues? Well, it took my parched hair and helped repair the state of it. I've never used it according to the directions (if you do, then your bottle will be empty in a week). It's a convenient product in that you apply it at the beginning and rinse at the end of your shower, but, I've learned to intermittently use other shampoos and conditioners. At this time it is a staple. The mail order thing is ridiculous and this is not my HG but the product is mostly better than average. Don't know if I will continue to purchase this product.
