Wonderful color for all skin tones, even PPP's like me. It would be great on darker skin tones as well, although for dark skin I would recommend something more along the lines of cloudwine, it is a more berry/plum color. Other colors like Whipped Strawberries are very bright and vibrant, but the soft plum is my favorite. The texture os great and the color looks a lot dakr in the tin, it is more pink without look cheap and neon. Very soohpisticated, yet very girly. I love it.

Oh my! I love the texture of this blush! So many cream blushes or stains are so rough and sticky but this just feels airy and smooth. This color "soft plum" is my fave so far. Gives my MAC NW20 cheeks a nice healthy "blushing" flush, not at all as dark plum as it seems in the container. Edit: There's something in this blush, I don't know what but it's making me break out a little. :( Boo! I love the color though so I'm leaving it as a 5.

I am amazed @ how much I like this blush. My entire life I have been a powder blush user b/c I have never been able to get anything else to work for me w/o looking fake or making my combo skin look oily. That is until I found this beauty. Initially I wanted to try this blush b/c of the raves on MUA but since the DMM foundation really seemed to stick in my pores making them look huge I was skeptical about the blush.

Fortunately I received this blush as part of a swap otherwise I would not have purchased it myself. It really is a dream. It was soft and blendable and you can build the color so you can have a little less or a little more depending on the look you are trying to achieve. This gave me a very natural looking flush. It did stay matte on my skin and did not streak. After 12 hours of wear it still looked just applied yet natural.

IMO the other reviews of the color are accurate. I am a PPP and this worked wonderfully for me although I wouldn't have purchased this color for myself based upon it's appearance in the jar. The only drawback that I can see is the container itself. I would prefer not to have to stick my fingers in the jar but I don't know how else they could package this item either.

I will definitely be trying some other colors from this line and will repurchase this when gone. It is my new HG blush!

I really wanted to try this because I'm part of a small minority that loves the Dream Mousse Foundation. When looked at the colors, I was kind of intimadated b/c they seemed light and i'm CCC. But looked at the display picture of model kinara and it said she was wearing soft plum. We are similar in color and it turned out to be my smartest blush buy! The texture is soft,it doesn't go on heavy, and it has a slight shimmer. And it satisfied my weekly makeup craving without breaking the bank.

I really love this! :-) It's a more plummish-pink shade than pinkish plum. I've been hearing about these forever and they *finally* got them in at my wal-mart!! ugh. anyway, i really like this and i recommend it for anyone. BTW, it has some shimmer, too.5.99 at wally wal.

This stuff is exceptional. It blends easily, unlike some cream blushes I've tried. It looks very natural on. It has a very slight shimmer to it, barely noticeable. Its more of a rose color than a plum. This is as good or better than the BB and Stila pot rouges I have tried. I highly recommend everyone (including women who like high end cosmetics) give this a try in either Soft Plum or Cloud Wine. They're both excellent. Big rave for Maybelline; keep this kind of product coming. I got it for $5.99 at Target.

I purchased the last soft plum on the display; unfortunately it had apparently melted and then reformed at an angle. Perhaps this has affected its performance. nonetheless, the color payoff is not as intense as, say, Stila's or Guerlain's, but the staying power is excellent. The color is a shimmery plum-pink(as its name would suggest) and it blends well. I set it with a powder blush(Lorac's desire) and it remains all day. Quite a feat on my combo skin - in the summer, no less. And of course, it looks smashing on my Asian NC20 complexion. Recommend.

Well, great...NOW I've done it. I just HAD to give in to all the hype these blushes have been causing around here, and I just HAD to go to Target and pick one of these things up in soft plum. And now, I've created a monster. I want more...more!!!...MORE!!!!! I tell you!!!! MOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!!!!! *deep breath* Just like their foundation counterpart, these blushes come in little glass jars, and have the same fluffy, creamy texture. But make no mistake, the blushes are not matte like the foundation...in fact, they have a lovely subtle shimmer. Just the tiniest bit on your finger is enough for a cheek. They blend in flawlessly and provide the most natural looking flush I've ever seen from a blush. Being an oily gal, I was worried about how this stuff would wear. But they wear like crazy, even lasting through a splash session with my son in the pool. Soft plum is actually more like a cool mauvish-pink, and it matches my natural flushed color pretty much spot-on. I just cannot get over how fabulous these little blushes are. I am now officially sucked in. I am a mousse slave. I can't wait to get my hands on all the other colors. Maybelline has really hit the jackpot with this one!

I'm a high end gal but this is an excellent blush. Love this shade and the strawberry one. The peach one is too light.

I have always been a powder blush kind of girl. But, when these came out I decided to give them a chance. I bought this one and the peach satin. At first, I used way too much and I looked like a sparkly clown. Not exactly the look that I was going for. So, I worked on it. :) You only need the tiniest amount to look glowing and pretty. I thought I would hate the shimmer in this, but when applied correctly, it just looks like I am glowing. Very pretty. After reading other reviews, I went back out and bought the Coffee one. (Thanks to theporpoise!!) This one turns out to be the perfect shade of bronze on me, like I just got back from a day at the beach. I am a PPP with red hair, and these colors all looked really good on me. At first I was disappointed in the color selection because I didn't think any would suit me, but these are really great. So, don't be afraid to try these, they are a great product.

dont get me wrong: the price is cheap (i got mine for around $7 USD), but it is high when you consider its for a maybelline product. i picked soft plum because in the glass pot, it looked like a cool-toned pink-plum. however, when i got home and tried it on, i realized its actually more a cool-toned plum-pink (i.e., much more on the pink side). there is also a hint of shimmer that makes it really glowy on my skin. the texture is strange to me, but the mousse consistency makes it soft and easy to blend and build. packaging, as some other reviewers have mentioned, is a bit clunky, but not too awkward.

This is a new favorite for me. Wonderful light mousse texture, just like the foundation. Very easy to work with, I apply with my fingers, its super blendable and buildable. They last throughout the day over my Stila tinted moisturizer. Soft Plum is a plummy pink (more pink than plum) with subtle shimmer, less shimmer than Peach Satin. This color shows up on me NC20 but I would not recommend it if you are much darker. Coffee Cake and Whipped Strawberries are better options for darker complexions. I have seen them at various CVS stores, priced from $6.99 to $8.49. I will repurchase this again, however I am still not sure if they are Limited Edition or not.

I completely love the new Dream Matte Mousse blushes. They are a third smaller in size than the foundations, but the little pot will last you a long time because you only need to use a tiny amount with each application. I typically don’t like crème blushes as they tend to feel greasy, but the textures of these are great—silky and not at all greasy.

Soft Plum is a Holy Grail blush colour for me; it’s the perfect plumy-pink with a tiny amount of gold shimmer. This is a highly pigmented blush that amazingly lasts my entire work day (we’re taking 10 plus hours here.) Dream Matte Mousse blushes are great to use when you’re limited on time; just swipe a bit on your finger, blend on your cheek and go about your merry way!

I bought this in the soft plum color and also the light pink shade. The texture is wonderful, smooth and easy to blend. I got it for around $6.00 at my beauty supply store. soft plum is a perfect description for this color. I only need a tiny bit (I'm pretty fair). It lasts well on the skin. I wish you didn't have to dip your finger in the jar, but I don't know how else they could package this. Nice product for a great price.
