I think this is the only sensitive skin cleanser out there that removes makeup completely. Even Revlon Colorstay! I've been using it for months on my oily, sensitve, acne-prone skin. Cheap and it works.

Best liquid face wash out there-and I've tried alot. Gentle, gets all of my makeup off, and not drying. Same as Purpose Gentle Face wash except cheaper and a different (not bad) fragrance.
By the way, for the reviewers who've experienced flaking - I've had this, but it wasn't because the cleanser was drying. It's because I needed to exfoliate (expecially when using differin or another retinoid).
Update: I now use Olay's Sens Skin cleansing cloths because they're gentler (less cleansing agents and petrolatum to moisturize) and exfoliate in one product. This is still my favorite liquid cleanser, though.

i cannot tell you how many years i've used this... but it's a lot. i only use it in the morning when i shower though. i have found it's not amazing at removing my makeup, but great for cleaning off my intensive nighttime eye moisturizer (aka, vaseline).
this is basic basic cleanser, and that's what i use it for. i particularly like it because it does get a great foam in my poof.
my only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the pump bottle does not do a great job of keeping the product inside on the actual pump. because product can seep out, this also means water can seep in. by the time i am at the end of a bottle of this, it's definitely a diluted product.

I LOVE this cleanser! It smells good, has a cute package, is dirt cheap, and really gets all the grime off without drying your skin out. My brother and sister who both have mild acne swear by this stuff. It's not irritating if you use that sort of skin treatments. This is definetly worth a try for any skin type. I'm upgrading this stuff to my HG face cleanser, I've shopped around, and have yet to find anything better.

I am oily, sensitive, and acne-prone and this cleanser is just right for me. It removes makeup and sunscreen (I use this as a brush cleaner too), and doesn't irritate my face or cause breakouts. I can see how this cleanser might not be for dry types though; occasionally in winter, my face feels a little tight after cleansing which is taken care of with a little moisturizer. The perfume is a bit surprising in a product marketed to sensitive types, but fortunately I haven't reacted to it and I've used this cleanser for several months now. Regarding the packaging, I like the ability to lock the pump on the bottle for travel. All in all, a great, cheap no-frills drugstore cleanser that I will purchase again and again.
Ingredients: Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Laurampho PG-Acetate Phosphate, Fragrance, Quaternium 15, Tetrasodium EDTA.

This is a great summer cleanser, for those who have normal-acne-and or oily skin. Used during the cold winter months, can definitly dry out the skin. It really cleanses well; no film left behind on the skin, rinses clean and easily, and really takes all my makeup off :) A little bit goes a very very long way (a full pump mixed with a bit of water, and rub), really foams up on the skin. It did make my skin feel soft and clean but after a while, it did make my skin dry. When I want a deep cleanse, I use this and in the summer time I will continue to use this. Ive been using this on and off for he last 6 months and i'm still on my second bottle. So for me, a bottle lasts a good 3-4 months. Didn't cause breakouts, just dry skin. Not a bad product!

I have sensitive to very sensitive oily, acne-prone skin. Like many others here, other C & C products were way to harsh on face, so I had stayed away form them. I decided to try this cleanser on the account that it's formulated for senstive, and I haven't been disappoined. This face wash cleans my skin without irritating it or drying it out. The scent is light and not overpowering. The price is fantastic to boot, so I will keep going back to this!

Here's a tip: this is the same formula as Purpose Liquid, from the same manufacturer, but cheaper! They just repackaged the old HG Purpose into the C&C line. I have used purpose for years off and on on my skin (oily, very sensitive, large pores and occasional breakouts). It's a gentle, pretty thorough, non-irritating and non-reactive cleanser. And you save a few bucks buying it with the C&C label and bottle. The pump is nice and lockable. Three cheers :-)

Another great drugstore face wash! Cleans my combination skin without working too well and drying me out! I will definitely repurchase this! There is a medicinal scent to this, so if you want something totally fragrance free you might want to look elsewhere!

This is the cleanser I keep coming back to again and again. It leaves my skin clean without being squeaky, and I haven't had any allergic reactions or cystic pimples since I've been using it. A nice, gentle, everyday cleanser for oily, sensitive skin!

I used this a lot before discovering Alpha Hydrox's foaming cleanser here in P'ville -- let's just say I will not purchase C&C again! Alpha Hydrox is much more effective at cleansing, yet does not strip my skin in the least! It's also more unscented which is better for truly sensitive skins. This is not a repurchase for me again. (I also hate the pump!)

I love this face wash. It is gentle, cheap, and smells good. It does a great job getting all of my make-up off. A bottle lasts forever too. I took off one lippie b/c my face feels a little tight after washing. I will definitely rebuy this cleanser, which is saying something b/c I jump around a lot.

I have used this product for years, and highly recommend it. I have begun trying different cleansers for my face (exfoliators, AHA's) but still use this to wash off my eye makeup everyday, even if I don't use it on the rest of my face. I make sure to have several bottles on hand because it can be hard for me to find and I hate to run out and have to try something else. It really is hard to beat for the price and the quality!

I have been using this on and off for years and I really like it. It does what it's supposed to do and is super cheap and easy to find. It doesn't dry me out or break me out. Gotta love that!

I've been using this cleanser for years. It smells fresh, and leaves my skin nice and soft. I cannot use the regular version of this, it makes me break out like crazy, but the sensitive skin version really does help my skin. EDIT: I stopped using this soap after I started breaking out more often. It worked for me for many years, and I was disappointed I had to switch to something else.

I love this cleanser! I have rosacea and wear a foundation that is pretty tough to get off-- this cleanser is the only one that is nice to my sensitive skin AND takes off the foundation very very easily. Cetaphil, etc just doesn't work. I just rub it in a circular motion for a bit then take my Dermatologica "The Sponge Cloth" and use that to wipe it off my face/rinse. It is totally gone in 1-2 washes (I looked in magnifying mirror, used astringent after to be sure). The Sponge Cloth isn't reviewed on MUA but it is simply a very very soft spongey cloth that resists bacteria, dries super fast, and machine-washable. Either way I REALLY recommend you try this cleanser as it is great taking off makeup while still gentle on skin. I've used it for over 2 or so years now and nothing compares!

Finally, I seem to have found a good basic cleanser for a really cheap price. I have oily and acne-prone skin, and have spent ten times as much on facial cleansers. This works great at night to remove make-up and make me feel clean. I continue to keep a higher priced brand in my shower for morning cleansing, just because I like to use an AHA/BHA product as well. Definitely will re-purchase this though. UPDATE 11/06: Nope, I found Neostrata anti-bacterial for $14, and find it superior, though yes, much more expensive. But, I was paying up to $30 for cleanser before, so $14 I'm okay with!

Bought this based on the reviews here. I use this at night to remove make-up. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, never dried or tight. I think using it twice a day would be too drying so I use Cetaphil in the morning (but Cetaphil doesn't really clean off makeup at night). This have been working really well for me with no breakouts or irritation. I wish is was fragrance free, though. Will keep using.

I have oily, sensitive skin that is prone to whiteheads and blackheads. This cleanser failed me on 3 counts. First, it is very, very slick and difficult to rinse off. I had to use a washcloth and even then, it took several tries to get all the soap off. Second, I broke out in horrible cystic acne from this product -- most likely an allergic reaction to goodness knows what is in it. I don't normally get cystic type acne but I broke out with 4 new cysts within 3 days of starting this product (and I was only using it at night). Third, I developed severe eye irritation and would wake up every morning with my left eye swollen almost shut. So, three days on this product and it managed to wreck my skin and my vision for a good deal longer than that. It may work for some people, but if you have sensitive skin or eyes at all, I'd stay away.

I don't ask for much in a cleanser, just that it removes oil and makeup without making my face tight and dry, and that it not cost a lot. I have combination skin and wear makeup almost every day. This worked just fine. Rarely, I might soap up with it twice to remove something like heavy sunblock or ColorStay-type foundation. But otherwise, I've never had a problem with this cleanser. It's been my daily staple for a year.
