LOVE IT! I am EXTREMELY picky with my makeup and look far and wide for the best products and when it comes to foundation, Ive had a hard time finding good ones. My favourites were 100% pure for liquid and Jane Iredale for pressed poweder foundation....ive never found a DS foundation that didnt look nmade up and cakey but voila...we have a winner. I was in the DS the other day and saw Maybelines new age rewind and since the color wasnt right, i mixed it with this L'oreal foundation and got the most perfect looking natural finish. Im still compleletly dun=mb founded about it. The trick is to use a stippling or flat top brush and very little product, take your time and stipple/ dab it on and buff and it looks like airbrushed makeup. I currently have acne and it covers it up without looking cakey at all!!! AND it still looks like my own skin. I love it! Abother trick I have found with this is to put it on, then put on your blush, eyeshadow etc and then do a quick steam of your face to set the makeup and it will look just like your skin!!! Love it...never thought id rate anything drugstore so high.

I hate to bring down the glowing rating of this foundation but if I can help out one fellow oily skin gal then it’s worth it. Background on me: NW20 with very oily skin and large pores (yes, I was blessed by the skin gods)! First, for the good news, color 146 Nude Beige is a perfect match for my skin. Ok, now on to the bad. I used my Nars primer and set with Mac Blot powder. This foundation does blend pretty nice and gives medium coverage. It feels light on the skin and not heavy like other foundations. However after about an hour of wear my skin began to itch and feel tight. By hour 5 of wear this foundation had caked into my pores and looked splotchy all over my face. My face was as shiny as a disco ball and I looked like I had just got done running a half marathon. My face is still itchy and tight and I can’t wait to get home to remove this foundation. It is going immediately back to the store for a refund. So in short, if you have oily skin I’d avoid this foundation.

After reading these great reviews I went out and bought it. I am really happy with it. I've never had a foundation that looked like "my skin, but better," but now I finally have that. It feels light and a little goes a long way. The pump is great. It doesn't hold off my oil as well as some other foundations but it doesn't melt off my face either so some powder fixes it just fine. The color selection is adequate. I was about to give up trying DS foundations so even though it's expensive for a DS foundation, it's better than paying for a dept. store product!

The texture of this liquid foundation is really remarkable. It just feels...plush. It comes in a sanitary pump and it's fragrance free!Medium coverage that is buildable, works well with primer or alone. I need SPF in my foundation and this is decent at SPF 17. This is by far the best drugstore foundation out there today and it might be my favorite liquid foundation in any price range. I chose the shade Creamy Natural for my cool toned skin and it's a great match.

I just bought this in nude beige, for reference I use MUFE HD 120 and I am about an NC 25 in MAC. I have to say the color was a perfect match, it blended very nicely in my skin. It is very lightweight, it felt like I was not wearing anything at all. I used my smashbox photofinish primer underneath. This is a medium coverage foundation, I am sure it could build to a fuller coverage if needed. This did not oil/grease up on me at all, I really like the texture of this foundation as it felt so light right out of the bottle and it blended very easily with my stippling brush. I am in my early 20's so I didn't buy this for the anti-aging really, I bought it because I couldn't find any good medium coverage drugstore foundations and read reviews on here so decided to try it. I am glad I did, I am going to toss my cakey feeling photoready from Revlon out now and stick with this!

I just got this over the weekend but have used it about 3 times now and I'm liking it so far. For the record, I am NC20, and had a tough time deciding on 144 or 146 - I asked folks on here before purchasing and it was kind of split. In truth, I think mixing 75% of the 146 and 25% of 144 would be absolutely perfect. 144 is really yellow, and a bit too light for me. 146 is a bit too pinky for my NC20 skin.
I have an oily tzone, and use MUFE HD primer in 0 (neutral), and also set my foundation with ELF HD powder. I have reviews on those as well - feel free to check them out!
I usually wear ELDW, but lately have felt like it is more of a mask. I also think my skin is changing a bit with age (turned 30 this September!) and is getting a little more dry and has stopped acting up for the most part. I wanted something that was still evening out my skin tone (I have a bit of redness here and there), but not that looked so masky.
I think I've found a good balance in this foundation. It offers medium-full coverage (I actually sheer mine out by also mixing it with my moisturizer and then applying it).

I am in love with this foundation! I am approaching 28 and am noticing some fine lines sneaking up around my eyes. In my search for a new foundation, I have purchased many DS and high end foundations in the past few months and this is by far the best. The coverage is amazing and it feels like it just floats onto my skin so perfectly. It does not settle into the lines around my eyes or cake up like others I've tried. I use it with and without primer and it's wonderful either way. The color match for my skin is perfect as I am fair with freckles and pink undertones. I can't say enough good things about this product. It is worth every penny and then some. I have applied it with a foundation brush, a skunk brush, a sponge and with just my fingers and it's a beautiful full coverage finish each way. I have combonation skin with a rather oily T-zone and I find that as long as I don't touch my face, this combats the oil pretty well. It wears for about 8hrs without any type of blot or powder touch-up. This is a must try if your on the edge of the fence about it. Im sad I wasted my money on the other hyped up brands.

For starters, I am in my mid-20s and do not use this product expecting to look 10 years younger. In fact, I have always been very scared of "age defy" make up because I associate it with pore-clogging. I used to think make up like this would be like rubbing oil all over my face. BUT...when I was in a time of need, I hopped on MUA and read reviews on foundations because I can no longer afford Sephora brands. I found this one and saw great ratings, better than other drugstore brands, and decided to try it. I purchased it at Ulta, where I know I can easily return it if I hated it. It has been 2 weeks since I purchased, and I am in LOVE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT! This foundation covers soooo well, yet looks totally natural! It does not leave me "dewy", which is great since I have oily skin and would like to look a little less dewy. But it doesn't leave me with matte, dry skin either. It looks "just right". I use this with Too Faced Poreless powder and my makeup stays put and looks fresh throughout the day. It doesn't make my pores more stand out.One night...I was too tired to wash my face (gasp!), but I didn't break out the next day, which was a huge relief. Go try it out!

I just stopped dead in the middle of my morning routine to come on here and review this product. Backstory: I've been a slave to Almay TLC and Revlon Colorstay for years now, but after reading the reviews of this foundation I had to run out and get it. Literally, I feel as though I'm wearing foundation for the first time. I bought it in Soft Ivory, and it covers my near-purple rosacea perfectly. It is so light and smooth - I'm used to the Elmer's glue consistency of Almay or the thick-but-great Revlon, but this is a whole new world. I will buy this as long as they manufacture it, and I implore anybody who is reading it to give it a try! I'm in love.

EDIT: after a few months of using this....I'm not so in love anymore. The color is still great, and so is the coverage, but it doesn't have anywhere NEAR the lasting power of my Almay formula. I mean, this stuff is a shiny, smeary mess after just a few hours. Boo!

Dear L'Oreal: Please do not ever discontinue this product; I will have a nervous breakdown. I LOVE this foundation; it does everything it claims it will do and does it well. I don't like thick, cakey makeup and this has the almost magical ability to provide great coverage and yet seem to be light and non-opaque at the same time. I like the fact that it contains retinol, Vit C, and sunscreen. It has no offensive or over-fragraced odor. It's perfect and I hope to wear it for a long, long time.

Edit: I also did not find this foundation shimmery or shiny whatsoever. I wear 154/Sun Beige and there is no sparkle at all, so I also wonder (with the reviewer below) if there is some confusion as to which formulation of this product is being reviewed. I am reviewing Visible Lift Serum Absolut Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup (with Pro-Retinol A + Vitamin C, SPF 17).

I'm really, really happy with this foundation. I bought it on sale at Target and had a $2 coupon. First, I salute L'Oreal for offering the magazine insert with samples of each shade and for having that little plastic card at the drug store that you hold over your wrist to help identify your match. It makes things so much easier. I hate hemming and hawing trying to figure out which color is right for me.

The foundation does dry fast, so you really need to apply it quickly. It is a hair on the thick side, but using a sponge helps even it out. The coverage is awesome!! It looks really natural, yet covers up all the pink around my nose. It also covers blemishes really, really well! I don't need to bother with a concealer, I just dab a teensy bit extra foundation on and voila.

I don't see any shimmer in this, i've looked at my face under fluorescent light and under bright sunlight and I don't see it.

I LOVE this foundation. It covers beautifully, goes on smoothly, covers imprefections perfectly and just plain feels great. My skin looks fantastic with it on and I am no longer a kid! It has not broken my face out or done anything but look great. The only problem is with the packaging. You cannot open the bottle when it gets low and it will not pump anymore, even though there is still a lot of product left inside. However, it is not super expensive ($13 on sale at Target) and I will definitely purchase it again.

I bought this because I wanted a better coverage mascara then my Avon Magix (which was great but too sheer). The last L'Oreal foundation I bought was the True Match which I found just okay. But I absolutely love this stuff. My skin is flawless, it lasts all day even without my DHC primer. I top it off with a slight dusting of MAC Studio FX powder and I'm ready to go. I'll be sticking with this one for awhile. And if it helps lighten and brighten my skin, well that's a bonus.

Some people complain about the price because it's high for a drugstore makeup. Well, this isn't Wet-n-Wild or NYC people (I like those brands too). This is a very high quality product that we are lucky enough to be able to buy on a shopping trip to Target or CVS. I've had all levels of foundation products and this is just as good if not better than some of those high-priced department store brands.

EDIT: I upped this to 5 lippies. This is a great fdt! I hope they never discontinue it (please, L'Oreal? pretty please?)

I tried to resist buying this fdt. (I have so many), I really did. But of course, I finally caved in and got it. So far, I like it. It's not oily, it has decent coverage, in spite of the fact that it's so liquid.

Like someone else said, choosing colors is a you-know-what. First, the lighting in drugstores, Target, etc. borders on vicious, as we all know. Secondly, it's so hard to tell just from the bottle. I really wish these drugstore brands had some way to test fdts. I got #148, Natural Buff, which I thought would be too dark (the "lighter" ones were too pink), and I'm glad to see it's ok.

I just tried it on today. I'll keep you posted on developments. I said I would not re-purchase only because we do not have the 'maybe' choice. That also depends on more regular use.

One more thing. I am amazed to read that some people find this fdt. shimmery. There is absolutely NO shimmer in the bottle I got. None, whatsoever. Are we speaking about the same product?

Color Used 146 Nude beige, close color, slightly light & slightly pinker beige. It is a little shinny so as a test I added Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Light Beige which is a little too dark for me. It seamed to help some with the shine and yellow up the color. The Dream Matte Line I think runs a little darker then most lines in the beige colors which is the best fit for me. I have light olive tone skin and the lighter colors usually have too much pink in them for me and are slightly too light.
As a test I also tried adding Avon's Smooth Minerals Liquid foundation & it was still a little too shiny. I have it in sand beige and it is the yellowiest beige I've ever seen - If you need a corrector color to tone down red - that color is it!. I cant wear it alone but I will keep it to yellow up other foundations if needed. Just cant use a lot of it - a little goes a long way.
The Visible lift seemed to last pretty well and it had good coverage. I did not have any bumpy reaction to it on my face like I did with Avon's Anew Age Transforming Foundation (darn a perfect color too - natural beige) and I did not break out - thank goodness. I did get my usual shinny forehead & nose though.
I use have used smashbox's anti-shine neutral primer on my forehead, nose & chin. It usually helps but If I put too much sun block or moisturizer on then the smashbox’s product doesn't have a chance. Also I live in Florida - the oily face state!
Most finishing powders age me - so I use Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder as a finishing powder and it just works out fantastic. It does not clog, crease and is relatively invisible. A little pricey but well worth the money.
I think I will use the L'Oreal Visible lift for a wile but I will try another Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse color to blend with it. The two together works better then either alone. A good balance.

10/25/10 I stopped using this (I tried both types of visible Lift Makeup’s too) I did break out a little and a little bit too oily. If I lived up north - winter might be ok. I moved onto Clinique's Redness Solutions Makeup and I have been happy with it so far, less oily medium coverage. If I need a bit more coverage & moisturizing I can just add a bit of some of the other makeup or add a bit of Clinique’s Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream, a non oily cream - a thick cream in a jar and a little go's a long way, wet your face a little first then apply it to get a thinner application for people with oily skin. For blemishes I use covergirl's ageless corrector & top it with Loreal Mineral Corrector (a powder) no matter what make up I use

Real quick...I actually have a cheap, easy solution to the "sparkles" that a lot of people complain about with this foundation. I pair this with maybelline's dream matte powder and it completely erases all signs of twilight sparkle.
In my personal opinion, however, this isn't nearly as bad as revlon's photo ready foundation, so I think the luminous look can be quite complimenting, because this foundation provides just enough to where you can only see it in certain lighting, and it just reflects off of places that are supposed to look highlighted anyway, like your cheekbones and what not.
As for the rest of it...Lasts long, great coverage, the pump makes it clean and controllable, and this is NOT greasy feeling at ALL on my skin, yet it's managed to keep my skin hydrated, despite the powder I apply on top to set it.
I take a a lippie away for the price. $$15 is a little much for an effin' drugstore foundation. COME ON L'oreal...come on.
I will say though, a little goes a long way, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt that it's worth it...le sigh.
I've been using this for a good month now, and I have a lot left. This is something that I'm going to stick with until the bottle runs out. As of right now, when that day comes, I plan to repurchase. Unless it takes forever and I get bored, as we all do...and I move on to something else.
But like I said, right now, definitely a buy-again.

I think that the shades available for this foundation are very realistic! The coverage is fantastic, and the finish is smooth and natural. However, I do take one lipstick off because it is difficult to blend, as it dries so quickly, as in within 30 seconds or even ~less~. I like that the foundation is unscented, and comes in a pump bottle. Also, my skin breaks out easily, but I have not experienced irritations of any kind.

I suggest blending this foundation with the Revlon Photo Ready foundation at a 1:1 ratio for the best of both worlds: Complete yet natural coverage, and looking amazing in pictures.

This is actually a good foundation. It stays on all day, covers really well, minimizes pores, doesn't change color and has a satin finish. I haven't had any breakouts from it although it has only been two weeks. So yeah I would check this one out...better then colorstay and WAY better then the maybelline superstay which I hated.

This is a great foundation. I have tried most of the recommended foundations on Makeup Alley paying anywhere from $10 to $150. Bought it at Walmart with the $2 coupon, so it cost about $12. It goes on nicely, covers imperfections and does a good job minimizing enlarged pores on my cheeks. It gives medium coverage and is a semi-matte foundation. I am really impressed!

-I love the way this product blends so well on my skin and leaves my face feeling a little more moisturized that before I applied it.

-As far as the staying power, it works much better than the Bare Naturale mineral powder foundation at combating the slide that usually happens at the end of the day when my face gets oily, but doesn't do quite as good of a job as the Infallable foundation.

-It does a good job of covering up flaky skin (which I have since I use Tazorac during the day and benzoil peroxide at night) which is a definite plus.

-Not so sure it's actually fighting my crease lines but it does a good job of covering them up.

-For a drugstore product, they've done a good job of making this foundation feel like a little luxury.
