My sister urged me to try this product because she's a big user and loves it. Well, I don't like her makeup anyway, looks like a mask and actually makes her look older. However she has melasma so it does do a good job covering all of her brown spots from the day so too much sun! I suppose if you need full coverage, this product is decent. So, I tried this product and do not like the "heavy" feeling on my skin, and the color I wore turned orange a few hours later.I guess if you have to cover up freckles, melasma (dark spots) this is a decent product. I never could find a good shade for me. Also I think this product might be meant for those that have oily and/or combinition skin = NOT for dry skin.

I work long shifts in a hospital, so I generally need a foundation that is long wearing and sweatproof. Based on reviews and the MU board I thought I would give DW a try. I had often stayed clear of EL because of their gaudy gold packaging, horrible fragrances, and reputation for catering to the grandma crowd. I am glad that I took a change on DW.My skin tone is somewhat difficult to match. My MAC color would be NC20, but that isn't a perfect match as I lean more neutral. The DW came in warm, cool, and neutral tones, so I was able to find a very good match. This foundation leaves a very nice semi-matte finish and stays on until I take it off. It also covers everything. I don't even have to think about concealer with this foundation. It wears nicely without a setting powder, though I don't think it does much for oil control. This product is somewhat heavy. Those not used to wearing foundations may be turned off by the feel of DW. I can "feel" this foundation on my face, but not enough to stop using it. This also goes best over well moisturized skin. It can really drag and highlight any dry spots, so it might not work well on those with very dry skin. This product could be improved with a pump, as the bottle can get pretty messy.I like this foundation, but I am not sure it is love yet. I am still on the hunt for my HG foundation.

I'm loving this product for summer time! Keep my face matte all day &lasts for quite a long time! I actually purchased this because I needed a foundation that would last all day &would stay matte for the fact that I was going to a Theme Park, it was gonna be hot, I was gonna ride water rides &roller coasters. So I purchased this &it lasted ALL day. When I came home, it looked just fine! A couple of days after, an incident happened, I cried. Wiping my face &everything. I came home late that day also &it looked like it was still fresh! &just yesterday, I went to my family's band's performance &came home probably 3 or 4 in the morning &it still looked good. Like nothing had ever happened. I didn't worry about my face at all, my face didn't feel heavy or greasy either. The only problem I have with this is the color range. I can't find my color. The SA's are probably annoyed at the fact of me having to come &exchange this about 3 times. They recommended "dusk" &when I tried it on the next day, I could tell I was wearing foundation. Don't get me wrong, it's very lightweight &talk about the coverage which is great! Full coverage, but you could tell that you're wearing foundation. I actually ran into my friend that I haven't seen in over a year &he noticed that my foundation looked very "off" as he described it. That's what made me want to keep trying different shades. Still on the hunt for the perfect shade! I definitely recommend this to all who are looking for a full coverage, long lasting, matte foundation! It doesn't accentuate dry patches, big cystic acne, or acne marks! Which is what I've been looking for in a foundation! Worked better than Christian Dior which made me break out! I also haven't broken out from this product which is heavennnnn!

I had spent over a year looking for a actual foundation that was the same color as MAC Select Cover Up in NC50, as this particular product matches my skin perfectly. I often wished that MAC made this cover up in a foundation formula so there would be more product. And SFF in NC50 is not quite the same shade as the NC50 Select Cover Up. And Neither is MUFE Mat Plus #75. Having oily skin, I gave the MUFE a try and it was wonderful for an oily skinned girl like me. But when I ran out I decided to check to see if there was another foundation I could give a try. Imagine my surprise when I saw all the rave reviews for DW. I took my MAC Select Cover Up with me to the store so that I could swatch side by side and get the best match. DW in Truffle is a dead on dupe for the Select Cover Up. Double Wear is not only has a better color match that MUFE, but it also has better coverage. I apply this with my Beauty Blender and it is perfection! I don't even need to use a concealer with this as it covers very well while using very little product. After a full work day, my make up still looks fresh and I don't even need to blot. I did some intense partying for my 30th b-day weekend, my MU still looked good after a straight 24 hours of wear - who needs sleep when you are getting your party on?! ha ha The excellent color match, good coverage and the fact that this controls my oily skin all day into the night is why I am giving Double Wear 5 lippies. My search is finally over - this is officially my HG foundation.

I love Double Wear! This is the only foundation I will use. I don't need powder or concealer with this foundation. It gives you a semi-matte look that's very natural. If this looks cakey or heavy on you, you're using too much. I'm an NC 30 and I usually wear this in Linen. In the summertime, I just use bronzer instead of changing foundation colors.

This is a pretty phenomenal foundation. When it comes to foundation, I have a few that work very well for me- one of those HG's is Revlon Colorstay....its the best I have used so far. With colorstay and some setting powder, I only have to touchup 3 times within a 8-9hr time. I wanted to try Double Wear because of the claims of being transfer resistant & long lasting- and it really does what it claims. I'm a neutral, slightly yellow toned NC20 and the color 'Ecru' is a pretty good match for me (its *slightly* pink, but I mix it with a very tiny drop of my Revlon CS in 'Buff' and it neutralizes nicely) Now, when I first applied this, it really reminded me of Revlon CS, the texture, smell everything is identical. The only difference is that with a light dusting of setting powder over double wear, this lasts up to 13 hours with 0 touchups needed! I tested this out the other day, and my makeup looked just as flawless as it did when I applied it earlier that day at 2pm- by midnight, I had no oil anywhere to touchup- and that is super rare for me!......The coverage is something I call 'Barbie Skin' very airbrushed and flawless- almost doll like....but not unflattering. All in all, I think this will be my new Holy Grail, the staying power of this is amazing! the SA at Estee Lauder even said this would not come off in water- so I suppose it could double as a concealer when wanting to cover up before going swimming. The two downfalls to this foundation is the the packaging, its hard to get the foundation out. The second is the price. I have never paid $48 for a foundation, but since you only need a little for amazing coverage, I suppose its worth it. Ladies who love a matte, long wearing look- this is a winner =) silly to say its life changing, but it great to be able to run around and not worry that my makeup needs a touchup or some has rubbed off....I will repurchase this in a heartbeat.*UPDATE*This is still amazing, and I absolutely adore it! its perfect for Summer because it does not melt off and looks matte all day- I hope Estee Lauder never discontinues or changes the formula of this.

EDIT: I'm changing this to 5 lippies (from 4). The weather has only gotten hotter since I wrote this review and this is the only foundation I have that lasts and still looks good at the end of the day. For a product that I really hated at first, I'm sooo glad I stuck with it..!I'm really glad I waited to review this product! If I had reviewed it the first couple of times I wore it (I wore it twice and then threw it in a drawer), I would definitely have given it a horrible rating. The first time I wore it, I had really irritated skin from acne washes/medication, etc, and only used it on top of sunscreen so of course this product dried the crap out of my skin and made every dry patch stand out. But even then what I did notice is that is STAYS. So I put it aside for another day and sort of forgot about it. Fast forward to recently. It's gotten really hot here in NY and I'm often out and about for work during the hottest times of the day. Nothing, I repeat, nothing was staying on my face, I was breaking out from the sweat, sun, and overuse of tons of products, and while sitting in desperation in my room one morning I remembered this stuff. I just got Korres's anti-aging primer which is very moisturizing, so I slapped this stuff on next and put some Physicians Formula SPF 50 powder foundation over it for SPF and... it looked perfect ALL DAY LONG. I was ecstatic. It covers my broken out skin, stays forever even in the heat, looks good as long as I don't have any peeling on my face (which admittedly is almost never), and very importantly doesn't break me out at all. I've noticed that products made to stay on your face for a long time feel sort of tacky and are drying, which I don't like that much, but for the staying power in this weather I've learned to appreciate it. I really learned to love this product.

I used this product for a while despite not having the perfect matching shade because the next shade was too dark. It covers really well however but it emphasizes enlarged pores or blemishes because it clings to your skin so much. Any long wearing product is typically drying and can feel even a little bit tight on the skin. When using this product, it's very apparent that there's makeup on your face and doesn't look very natural. I prefer the MUFE HD foundation which works much better for me. I also found that this foundation is more difficult to take off at night with my regular makeup cleansing wipes. This foundation isn't worth to me, even if it stays put longer.
