This is a pretty phenomenal foundation. When it comes to foundation, I have a few that work very well for me- one of those HG's is Revlon Colorstay....its the best I have used so far. With colorstay and some setting powder, I only have to touchup 3 times within a 8-9hr time. I wanted to try Double Wear because of the claims of being transfer resistant & long lasting- and it really does what it claims. I'm a neutral, slightly yellow toned NC20 and the color 'Ecru' is a pretty good match for me (its *slightly* pink, but I mix it with a very tiny drop of my Revlon CS in 'Buff' and it neutralizes nicely) Now, when I first applied this, it really reminded me of Revlon CS, the texture, smell everything is identical. The only difference is that with a light dusting of setting powder over double wear, this lasts up to 13 hours with 0 touchups needed! I tested this out the other day, and my makeup looked just as flawless as it did when I applied it earlier that day at 2pm- by midnight, I had no oil anywhere to touchup- and that is super rare for me!......The coverage is something I call 'Barbie Skin' very airbrushed and flawless- almost doll like....but not unflattering. All in all, I think this will be my new Holy Grail, the staying power of this is amazing! the SA at Estee Lauder even said this would not come off in water- so I suppose it could double as a concealer when wanting to cover up before going swimming. The two downfalls to this foundation is the the packaging, its hard to get the foundation out. The second is the price. I have never paid $48 for a foundation, but since you only need a little for amazing coverage, I suppose its worth it. Ladies who love a matte, long wearing look- this is a winner =) silly to say its life changing, but it great to be able to run around and not worry that my makeup needs a touchup or some has rubbed off....I will repurchase this in a heartbeat.*UPDATE*This is still amazing, and I absolutely adore it! its perfect for Summer because it does not melt off and looks matte all day- I hope Estee Lauder never discontinues or changes the formula of this.

EDIT: I'm changing this to 5 lippies (from 4). The weather has only gotten hotter since I wrote this review and this is the only foundation I have that lasts and still looks good at the end of the day. For a product that I really hated at first, I'm sooo glad I stuck with it..!I'm really glad I waited to review this product! If I had reviewed it the first couple of times I wore it (I wore it twice and then threw it in a drawer), I would definitely have given it a horrible rating. The first time I wore it, I had really irritated skin from acne washes/medication, etc, and only used it on top of sunscreen so of course this product dried the crap out of my skin and made every dry patch stand out. But even then what I did notice is that is STAYS. So I put it aside for another day and sort of forgot about it. Fast forward to recently. It's gotten really hot here in NY and I'm often out and about for work during the hottest times of the day. Nothing, I repeat, nothing was staying on my face, I was breaking out from the sweat, sun, and overuse of tons of products, and while sitting in desperation in my room one morning I remembered this stuff. I just got Korres's anti-aging primer which is very moisturizing, so I slapped this stuff on next and put some Physicians Formula SPF 50 powder foundation over it for SPF and... it looked perfect ALL DAY LONG. I was ecstatic. It covers my broken out skin, stays forever even in the heat, looks good as long as I don't have any peeling on my face (which admittedly is almost never), and very importantly doesn't break me out at all. I've noticed that products made to stay on your face for a long time feel sort of tacky and are drying, which I don't like that much, but for the staying power in this weather I've learned to appreciate it. I really learned to love this product.

I used this product for a while despite not having the perfect matching shade because the next shade was too dark. It covers really well however but it emphasizes enlarged pores or blemishes because it clings to your skin so much. Any long wearing product is typically drying and can feel even a little bit tight on the skin. When using this product, it's very apparent that there's makeup on your face and doesn't look very natural. I prefer the MUFE HD foundation which works much better for me. I also found that this foundation is more difficult to take off at night with my regular makeup cleansing wipes. This foundation isn't worth to me, even if it stays put longer.

This is seriously almost my Hg. the formula for this foundation is PERFECTION for people who have super-- and i mean SUPER-- oily skin. I have this in color 2W1 Sand and i'm Mac comparable to NC25 during winter season. I'm going to need to go out and buy another shade of this for summer.... but anywhoo. The foundation is Matte. It leaves no shine or dewy finish. Though this can be altered as long as you have Fix + to make it look less mattifying. However if you have super oily skin like me, within 6-8 hours the matte look would have become a dewey look :) It lasts great for 8 hour shifts at work- no repowdering necessary. But if you're working 12-16 hours, be prepared to have your powder ready.I cannot say how great this stuff is. It's super pigmented so less product is needed= less time to do makeup to hide up those ugly scars. Medium-Full coverage. The only downfall is the price :/ Application can be super fast as long as you have a thick and dense brush (like ELF studio powder brush or Sephora brush #55). This with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder keeps my day worryfree about my makeup :)Caution: the foundation will make your face look like a clear canvas. Meaning it LOOKS too perfect to look like it's Au Naturale. So its easy for people to assume that you're wearing makeup (either that or have super flawless skin). I've had people compliment that it makes my skin look like a doll and guys asked if I was wearing makeup because it looks too perfect... but in the end they all never seem to mind.

I was going to Arizona and needed a foundation with staying power so I picked this up... I have thinner skin so it actually make me look wrinkled. It did seem to last throughout the day, just didn't flatter my skin... made it look dull & wrinkled. I wouldn't suggest this is you are older or have thinning skin.

I used DW for years. I started getting clogged up oil glands from this product. I was using Take It Away and cleanser, but being a long wear makeup it just wasn't cleansing properly. It was truly long wearing. I went to BE and liked it for awhile, but it didnt' stay on as long. All of a sudden BE got orangey and very drying and I was breaking out again. I went back to DW. I do love the DW coverage. I am having no trouble this time. I think the clogged pores were from the Take It Away. I am hoping I won't have the same reaction. Everyone is saying I look 10 years younger again! Even though BE is more natural, DW looks airbrushed. DW is my HG!

I tried this foundation after wearing Revlon Colorstay for 3 years and thinking that was my HG. Little did I know! This has way better coverage than Revlon CS and lasts longer. Also you don't need as much foundation, a little goes a long ways. It lasts all day without budging. You need a good makeup remover to take it off. I use Aveeno makeup remover, and use 2 pumps, wash and rinse, and then another 2 pumps. I have very sensitive skin which is very prone to breakouts, and this has actually cleared up my skin - I think because I am using a lot less product. I am amazed, I will never go back to Revlon CS.

This has gained HG status for me :)Medium-full coverage (more than Revlon Colourstay but less than Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation) but very buildable, and also could easily be worn lighter coverage. Thin runny texture but sets to a tacky feeling quite quickly, but not so quickly that you can't blend. It is seriously the longest-lasting, most durable foundation OR concealer that I've come across. I bought this and on the first wearing my boyfriend of 2 years split up with me (bad luck foundation?!! ha) and I was crying and wiping my face, head on his white top, rubbing my eyes and nose and generally being a state. Not a smudge on his top, my makeup-perfect. Not even joking, my foundation looked EXACTLY as it was when I applied. For that reason alone I would adore this foundation. Also, it looks beautiful on the skin. I use heavy coverage foundations, and they tend to collect in my smile lines, pores, etc, but no. Sits beautifully on the skin, even without a primer, hides pores and lines. Very natural, not screaming 'I'm wearing foundation'! Neither does it go caky-it remains exactly the same after 10 hours. Very very matte, fantastic at controlling oily skin. However, the bottle is oh so annoying. Very small amount for the price, and the bottle is glass with a pour lid. Meaning that you lose so much product, because you'd have to smash the glass to get the rest and I can't see that being possible-it's very thick. Also, the colours are very strange... I'd recommend if you are pink toned to get a neutral shade (1N1 for example) rather than a 'warm' shade (1W1 etc) because the neutral is quite pink, the warm shades are quite odd... Orangey peach? Hmm. Personally I am a very tanned caucasian and I use ivory beige-3N1. Overall though, this is genuinely the best foundation I've ever used, and I've used a lot: Dior, Chanel, Clinique, YSL, Mac, Stila, Smashbpox, Revlon, Rimmel, etc etc etc. Highly recommend, at least to try.

I love this foundation, it stays on forever! Im NC35-NC37 and I use the Fresco. I always thought that in MAC the NC37 was a bit too yellow for me but this color is perfect for my skin tone. I love how light it feels and it makes my skin so even and flawless. I will repurchase!!!

Very good coverage, long lasting and nice natural shades, this is perfect. BUT for mine enlarged pores too heavy and makes it look even worse... :(
