Like the person said before me, i would not of known about this secret weapon for great skin if it wasn't for this place.
Skin feels like velvet and i have no idea how.
It's so cheap. Generic asprin from your local shops is about $1 Au for 24. You only need 3-4 crushed with a little water. It's so quick to dry.. just washing the utencils that you used to crush the mix with and it's ready for you to rinse off.
This is the best thing i've come across on MUA. Thank you!

I love this! This is one of the very many reasons why I love MUA! I was a little scared to try this but I did and now I'm an addict. I can't BELIEVE how soft my skin feels after I use this, I have never felt my skin this soft before! And it makes my pores look so much smaller, as well as makes my skintone look so much more even. Plus it reduces breakouts and makes your skin look so clear... and best of all, you can make it right at home for much less than it would cost to buy an expensive mask! Truly a miracle mask!

This mask is AMAZING! I had hopes this would work o my ski since its a HG for so many people. BUT I DIDNT expect it to work SO well, especially my first time! My skin was SO smooth (no scrub ever did this!). And my pores were noticebly smaller. I will keep using this about 3x a week. Also this didnt break my sensitive skin out. AMAZIN STUFF, TRY IT~

Love this! Makes my skin super soft and helps clear pores.
I put about 6 to 8 uncoated aspirins in the palm of my hand and add a few drops of warm water (only enough to make them dissolve into moist, not wet, flakes). Then I add a squirt of honey and mix in my hand. I apply the paste all over my face. (I've tried the aspirin & water version, but I found the mask flaked off, made a mess, and caused me to sneeze. The honey makes the mask sticky and it stays on really well). After about 15 minutes, I rinse off with lukewarm water. I don't scrub the aspirin in like some other people do because I find this irritates my sensitive skin. I always follow up with a moisturizer, as the mask tends to initially dry out my skin.

First of all, I don't think there's much of a drying factor with this... I'm in my thirties and this doesn't dry me out. The pores on my nose are so tiny after starting this and pore strips (which also have salicylic acid as their main ingredient) twice a week. I do see an evening of my skin tone, although I'm not sure how/why that works. Finding tips like this *is* one of the very best things about MUA.

I mixed this with the DDF salicylic cleanser and tiny bit of water. I apply it all over my face and while applying it all over I exfoliate at the same time then I let it sit there for over 15-20 minutes then exfoliate again and rinse. Results: smooth skin. That's all it does and sometimes skin peels but exfoliates well just moisturize after. And moisturize well. It doesn't fade any scar or anything but pretty good exfoliator. Although it isn't something for me to rave about. I don't really like it. But I'll keep using it till I can find something better.

I'm not usually one to try anything that seems "to good to be true"... I'm pretty skeptical. However, based on all the reviews, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I am SO glad that I did. I have done the mask 3x now and I can't stop running my hands over my face! I haven't had skin this soft since the sixth grade! All I do is dissolve 4 tablets in a little bit of water, apply to my face, wait about 10 minutes, get my hands wet and very gently massage my skin for 15 seconds or so and rinse off, followed by toner, vit. C and moisturizer. Love, love, love this!

I'll admit, I was skeptical. I was nervous I would wind up with red, blotchy, irritated skin.
I bought a bottle of generic uncoated aspirin at the grocery store (100 tablets for $2.99), and whirled 'em thru my mini food processor and transferred the apsirin powder to a tupperware container. When needed, I scoop out about 2 teaspoons and mix with warm water and a little squirt of my cleanser, to make it all stick together.
I apply loosely over my face, concentrating over any problem areas. So far, I haven't left this stuff on for longer than 5 minutes (I'm still wary!), but I may get brave someday and try for longer.
The results: my skin feels unbelievably smooth! This mask temporarily evens out my skintone! And it definately helps shrink acne!
I think I'll continue using this one about once a week, unless I happen to have a bad experience with it.
UPDATE 4/29/04 - I've been using this for about a month, and I still love it. I've worked up to leaving it on for about 10 minutes.
UPDATE 7/15/04 - I've been using this for about 3 months now, have worked up to leaving it on for 20-30 minutes, and my skin has never looked better.

ok product addict that I am, this sounded too good to be true, but since I already had a huge bottle of asprin why not give it a try? 8 asprin and a tiny bit of water mixed with some Keihl's clay mask to thicken and I was in buisness. And I must say the hype is true. I had a rosy glow and small blemishes started drying out immediately! Amazing I would recommend it to anyone, my blackheads were noticably reduced. I already use Retin A, Sage products and host of BHA's Alpha Hydroxys and other acids in an attempt to keep my skin clear, will be adding this to my arsenal. What a great idea!

I have been converted! I have been using this for about a week, and it's amazing! I mix about 10 aspirin with about a quarter size dab of kiehls non-detergent cleanser ... terrific. It's easy, cheap and effective. My skin feels softer, looks smoother ... and the blackheads around my nose have vanished ... a miracle.
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Combination Hair: Brunette Eyes: Green
So far, so good. I tried this using 4 crushed tablets dissolved in water, and spread it over my face minus the eye area. After my skin was a lot softer and the black heads on my nose were less visible/gone completely. Next time I'd probably reserve this for my nose, temples and forehead as it can be harsh the other parts of the face. Will continue using every 3 or 4 days and will update. ;) *update* This is good for removing blackheads on the nose, but can create dry flaky skin if used to frequently. Decent on spot treatment of zits, but I think a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream works better.

i was a bit skeptical about this "miracle mask" at first. but i just tried it about 30 minutes ago. did the original recipe, it started flaking after 8 min. forgot to lightly scrub, but still. i was surprised that my skin looked so great! seriously, it hasn't been like this since i was 12 (i'm 20 now). just wishing i had discovered this in high school! i never would've had to waste my $$ on all that makeup and crap.
going to try this out for the next 2 or 3 weeks, just to make sure it doesn't stop working its magic.

WOW. I couldn't believe it. I sat here and read all of the reviews and had to try it. The first time I got the Mint Julep mask and put the aspirin on with that. I couldn't believe how great my skin felt. Over the last couple of days, I've just been using the aspirin and water. The red marks on my chin are already starting to fade after 3 uses. I also love the Mint Julep mask alone too.
I'm going to get the Anew Facial Peel wipes and use every other day and the aspirin mask on the off days.

i have only used this once but i def see an improvement in my skin. My face felt smoother after one use and looks clear and evenly toned. I will keep using this mask and update. I bought the coated kind because i couldnt find uncoated and i break it with a hammer (i used 5) before mixing it with water. Amazing stuff

This stuff works, no doubt about it. Rather than add to the raves, I'll just give a warning: Be very, very, VERY careful not to overdo this. The first time I did it (with water), I was overjoyed with the results. The second time, I mixed with yogurt, and woke up the next morning PEELING HORRIBLY (might have been from the AHA/BHA combo). Remember, salicylic acid is used in high concentration to remove warts precisely because it peels the skin a layer at a time. So be very careful not to overdo it especially on sensitive areas; the peeling was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in a long time.

One word: WOW! ... I contemplated using this mask for soooo long. First of all, my face is ultra sensitive and I am very loyal to my dermatologists skin care advice and products. (yada yada yada) I do have quite a smooth complexion with an occasional breakout around that dreaded time of the month... so I figured I shouldn't bother w/ it and just suffer those few days with a pimple. Well, I was wrong! The first night (and first sign of pimple- underground might I add) I mixed up a batch of 8 mushy aspirins, and some honey then slept in it overnight. <- messiest thing I've every done! My puppy was going crazy trying to lick my face and my skin stuck to my pillow case like tape! My skin was smooth though when I woke up! Next night: Mixed mushy aspirins with some olive oil and a squirt of tea tree oil. Voila ... I've found my dream potion. After three nights of the aspirin mask my skin is as soft and smooth as a babies bottom! Also ... I can tell how this mask has quickened the healing time of a pimple! Amazing! My face did get kind of sensitive the fourth night I tried to use it so ... I skipped it! ... Yay for aspirin mask!*edited* my skin is like renewed! OmG Its like I have new baby skin with no sign of pimples, dark spots or any blemish! Its amazing! I look like I have airbrushed skin! HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST? Hopefully forever ... Im addicted!

After reading about the benefits of this mask on the boards and in these reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and am very pleased. I've been using it for months now, and have noticed a tremendous improvement in my combination/oily very acne-prone skin. I usually take 5-6 tablets of uncoated aspirin, add a few drops of water, and then mix with plain yoghurt into a paste which I smear all over my face. I usually let it sit for 15 minutes or so, and then wash it off. The gritty bits of aspirin are great for exfoliation. While it doesn't really do anything for acne scars or redness, it does make my face much smoother (like a baby's ass!) and has calmed down my breakouts (I now just get a couple on my chin during my menstrual cycle...which is much better than before). My skin seems to "glow" after using this mask. It is very drying though, so I would recommend using a good moisturizer afterward, and I would also suggest limiting use to 2-3x a week. As for health concerns, as a medical student, I haven't found any data to substantiate the claims that this mask is medically dangerous. It's very unlikely that enough aspirin is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream to create the risk of side effects described by one of the reviewers. But obviously, if you seem to have a bad reaction to topical aspirin use, then stop! I love it, though, and will continue to use it again and again.

This is a great mask you can do at home to even out your complexion, smooth the skin, and take care of nasty blackheads. Five to ten aspirin tablets to your preference, a few drops of water until it forms a paste, and bammo! Smooth or massage it onto your face, let it dry, and wash it off for unbelievably soft, even, radiant skin. The aspirin mask gives me much better results with blackheads as opposed to Queen Helene, especially with routine use, and I can only wonder how incorporating the aspirin toner in my regimen would further improve these results. A must-try!

I first heard about the Aspirin mask on another board, and then discovered that MUA has over 100 reviews. That conviced me.
I used the mask about 5 or 6 times and I like it so far. Although I've been using Beyers and want to try a generic brand to see if the results can get any better. Skin just becomes sooo smooth after the mask. It's worth doing it just for that reason, if not for helping with blemishes.
What I do is just mix 3-4 tablets with water and apply. However, today I tried the mask with sour cream. I'll let you know how that works out in a week or so.
Regerding the safety issue, I think it's safe to use. This is just my personal opinion. SA has been used by MANY people in OTC products for a LONG time. So any harm would have been discovered by now.
It's such a small investment for such awesome results, just give it a shot, you have nothing to loose.
I am dissatisfied. I really don't think it's working for me anymore. And to think, how promissing it was. Too bad!!

OMG!!! this is the absolute best stuff ever, i've only used it once and already some acne scars on the side of my face DISAPPEARED! I used 7 aspirin and water n' left it on for bout 20 minutes.
