This is one of my favorite mascaras. The trick is mostly in the brush and learning how to use it, but once you get that, it's a snap. The spoon shape is supposed to be held with the curve going up into your lashes, so it coats them very evenly and holds a nice curl. The thing I like about this mascara is that it is very buildable, so long as you work quickly. It is wet, so once it dries the first coat, it probably isn't a good idea to apply another one or you'll risk major clumping. But you can apply one coat for a natural look or you could go for 4+ coats for dramatic. Very nice job, Maybelline.

Let me just mention that this review may be terribly biased because I started using Falsies at the same time I started using Careprost. But I have used all kinds of mascara in the past, so that should lend me some credibility.
So let me just say it - this may very well be my new favorite drugstore mascara! I donít know if it can overcome my favorite - Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill mascara, but itís darn impressive, especially for a fraction of the cost.
I had been using Maybelline Stiletto before Falsies, so that is my point of reference. Falsies is a way superior formula, by far. After the first few days of using Falsies Ė I noticed how less clumpy my eyelashes were. Something about the Falsies brush or formula lent to better consistent coverage. This mascara also fares well with several coats Ė which sigh, some of us definitely need at times!
The brush construction is such that it is able to reach the tiniest and thinnest of lashes to coat them with some mascara-loving. I have really insanely uneven lashes now (thanks Careprost) and nothing performs quite like Falsies is evenly coating them all.
I donít know if this is AS GOOD as DiorShow or Eyes to Kill, but it is the best drugstore mascara Iíve used thus far.

This mascara is sooo amazing. It really is like false lashes in a tube. My lashes looked like I had on about 3 pairs of falsies because they were so thick and long. No one would believe it was only mascara. The only thing is that it's really hard to wash off, but at the same time it stays on ur lashes alll day without smudging. I wouldn't wear it daily but it's great for days when u want to look extra sexy and dramatic without having to wear actual falsies.

I liked the Falsies mascara pretty well, it volumized and made my lashes look thick, but it did clump and even the non-waterproof version was hard to wash off. Overall this isn't a bad mascara and I'd repurchase it when I'm looking for a change but it isn't my favorite by far. You'll definitely need a lash comb for this one.

this is my favorite mascara EVER
it makes my lashes look like doll lashes!
however it does clump
but i keep an old mascara wand handy to help brush out the clumps

i liked this at first and use this as a back-up mascara but i find it to be very clumpy and lacking the effect i expected. plus it is a pain in the arse to wash off.

This mascara definitely doesn't give you that 'false lash' effect. Obviously, the models in ad campaigns are wearing false eyelashes so you wouldn't expect to get the results you see on TV and in magazines. This mascara did provide a good amount of volume for my short lashes and did not smudge or flake on me throughout the day. It clumped a fair bit, but I just wiped the wand on some tissue to remove the excess. It is only removed with eye makeup remover, not just water with cleasner, it just didn't cut it for me. I just wished it held a curl a bit better though. Great to use on its own if your looking to get some length in your lashes, works even better layered with a volumizing mascara. A pain to remove even though it's the non-waterproof formula. Not sure If I would repurchase.

I really like this mascara, both on it's own and when used with others. As someone, who doesn't wear a ton of eye makeup day-to-day, I really like to accentuate my eyes with long, thick, black lashes. I really like this mascara for this purpose. It gives good length and great volume--especially when applied over a lengthening mascara, the way I do. Spoon-style brush may take some getting used to, but persevere and the results are great. It doesn't flake, dries quickly, and comes off pretty easily.

Was an ok product but clumped very easily and came off easily. Not a fun product. If you're going for a dramatic look, then definitely use it, but I would not recommend for everyday

Great mascara, been using it since it came out. Separates my lashes and gives a nice lift.
