i really love this foundation. i have recently swapped from Matt Lovely, because i was looking for something a little lighter and less matte.

i have an extensive history with foundation, having tried everything from high end to dirt cheap market foundation and then various theatre makeup/professional makeup brands. as i started wearing foundation very young (14) i always wanted the palest shades available even though they werent my skin tone, but i thought it looked nicer in comparison to the overly yellow or orange based tones you are confronted with at every makeup counter. (also had an obsession with geishas, shhh!) im 19 now and for the past year have been weaning myself onto shades that match my natural skin tone (still quite light) which is why i LOVE bourjois!!

also dont be scared by my history!!! im constantly asked if im a makeup artist, even BY makeup artists!! just started young on the dramatic looks ;) so im learning backwards now- to look more natural and toned down.

- they have the best colors!!! their shades are never too pink or too yellow or too orange, they seem to get their tones just right - nothing horrible and extreme.

i picked 10hrs sleep up in rose clair, which is really cute but im not sure if its the right shade for me. i think that i would be better off with beige or apricot clair but honestly, again their colors are not too extreme so it doesnt make a huge difference, and this foundation blends so beautifully into my skin it really doesnt bother me at all.

- as chanels baby sister, this foundation is definately high quality and comfortable to wear, also long lasting (which is very important for my lifestyle). my skin didnt feel dry at all, neither did the foundation. it will last immaculately (with a light dusting of powder) for about 7-8hrs. if i do have to touch up after that time, its only really my nose + chin because of my oily t-zone.

- finish is natural and makes me look brighter... as others have said its not quite 10 hrs sleep but maybe those few more than 5 ;) also, dont be scared by how sheer it may seem when you test it in the store- it definately will even skin tone, covering up mild discolorations (eg. pink marks on cheeks, slightly darker skin near mouth/corners of nose, etc) and is also easily buildable. i apply with a latex sponge.

- i wear makeup every day so i found that this product is also good value, around the 30$ range in australia. as a full time student i wont have to shed any tears when it comes to repurchasing

- packaging is very cute although a clear case would be more convenient (to see when i do need to buy a new one) and the pump is a little high pressure but no real nervous breakdowns in relation to it haha. perfect handbag size.

- slight peachy smell which im loving, def not overpowering!!

sorry for the essay, but i just wanted to cover all bases!

i will totally be repurchasing this foundation. i really really hope they dont discontinue it!!!

I have only just purchased this product in the lightest shade and so far so good. I did apply a bit much because I didn't pay heed to the press-lightly suggestions, but it layered really well and has definately lasted well without overloading my oily tzone too much. I would only say that it does have a slightly chalky effect, but I will apply less next time.

I have this in Abricot Clair ~ which actually turned out perfect for my very pale skin - I've usually found it so hard to find a foundation which doesn't look too orangey for me. People with oily skin would likely consider this product too greasy or shiny for them; this dewy foundation fortunately works perfectly on me and is just dewy enough to look fresh-faced without overdoing it. Coverage is a few notches above average, with a beautiful, light-reflecting glow once fully applied. Although a concealer is still needed for full and perfect coverage for minor flaws and dark undereye circles, this is the kind of makeup that makes your skin look perfected without looking like you actually have any makeup on as it's texture is so easily and seamlessly applied without any blotching - amazing, and extremely natural result. I adored the fruity fragrance this has. Using this is perfect for the summer when liquid or mousse foundations can feel much too cakey in hot weather. Will definitely be stocking up on this! :)

I really wanted to like this due to the good reviews and the excellent shade match for my skin (Abricot Clair). It also went on pretty smoothly. However it is VERY fragranced and immediately made my skin tingle and itch - an hour later I was bright red and uneven textured. This is probably great if you aren't sensitive to fragrance though. I've got a bottle to swap now - what a waste of cash.

For reference I have NC30-ish combo skin with some visible pores on my cheeks. As I've got older I have started using heavier makeup and my current going out staple is Revlon's Age Defying (in Sand Beige) which look really good in photos and gives a longlasting flawless look, diminishes the look of pores. And for everyday wear I have been using CG Smoother tinted moisturizer which is easy to use and evens out my complexion a bit, not heavy and lets my skin breathe. Although both work well for their purpose I found that I wasn't happy anymore. The greedy foundation monster was rearing its head again! I've had my eye on this 10hr Sleep Effect foundation for a while but since it doesn't have SPF I couldn't wear it since I don't have SPF in my day cream (can't tolerate most day creams with SPF). But now that I've finally found an SPF day cream I could wear, I went straight out and bought one of these babies! Well, not as straightforward as that since Boots is doing a special offer and I went to at least 5 Boots before I found one that stocked it in the right shade (Beige Clair)! I've been wearing this foundation for the past few days and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to use, covers enough, hides pores, brightens skin and gives a natural healthy glow... kind of like I've had 10 hours sleep! My skin looks much younger too since it isn't masky! This is a happy medium between the 2 staple foundations I've been using and I'm glad it's also doing some good to my skin since it has vitamins in it. I say I will repurchase because it is very good... but I have never repurchased the same foundation so far... :P

Have bad enough skin....in my opinion anyway but this stuff is great....very light, very flattering and has definitely improved the quality of my skin but I think I got a dodgy bottle cause it spits out at me and my duvet, walls and clothes have all gotten splattered! This seems to be a one off though.

this is a brilliant foundation. its not that a good cover up if you have blemishes but it really really brightens your skin in a really natural way like nothing Ive ever tried before and ive been through all the expensive brands because im a make up snob, but this is better than any of them. its so lightweight aswell so you dont feel like youre wearing anything, so its not going to clog up your pores. dont layer on too much though as it can have a mattyfying chalky effect but otherwise its amazing, buy it.

I really love this foundation. I bought it 5 days ago and since using it my skin has improved no end. Its like instant pretty in a bottle. I bought Abricot Clair, the lightest shade as it was on offer in Superdrug. It has a very easy to blend forumla, and is easily layerable where you need it.

The scent is lovely and peachy, which my partner loves. It works incredibly on my undereye dark circles. This stuff is MUCH better than any other concealer I have ever tried.

My face stayed nice and moisturised throughout the day and I didn't need to touch up. I would highly recommend this lovely foundation to all of you - good value for money in convenient packaging that gives beautiful coverage.

First of all, I have 'good' skin, meaning there's no problems with it but I'm not happy with it (and it tends to be on the oily side *shudder*). I usually don't use a foundation as I hadn't had much success but a couple of months ago I decided that I stop being a wimp and continue my search. Decided to give this one a try as it sounded light and 'barely there'-esque which is what I wanted (and had this confirmed through having a bourjois SA apply some for me, which is always worthwhile)! So far I have mostly really good things to say about it- it evens out my skin colour (esp. a swelling that I get under one of my eyes), it dries quickly and almost *sinks* in, my skin doesn't feel buried under slap and best of all, it makes my face feel incredibly smooth and soft (yay!). The packaging is fine, you just have to get use to, as someone else pointed out, the lightly-press-quickly-let-go technique. I think this product is going to last a long time. My only qualm is that I had a couple of weird skin things happen which is still a puzzlement to me. Around 2-3 times I attempted to apply this and instead of spreading it dried very quickly (I think) and started flaking like mad around my forehead and side of nose. I stopped using it around those areas and have now started applying some there again with no problems (as of yet). It may have been something to do w my moisturiser but I'm rather stumped by this. Anywho, I would HIGHLY recommend this to people who don't need tons of coverage, have normal/combination/oily skin and like to be able to go "My skin IS really soft!" (and in my case, make the BF feel how soft my cheeks were around 50 times, which was not very fun for him).

I have used so many foundations over the years and never fully finished a bottle (or used one bottle more than four times) as the colours never really suited me well enough to seem natural on me. Always mask looking, caked and obvious. I have combination skin, T-zone gets oily half way through the day. I often have spot scars and though this has light coverage it makes my scars look more faded and my face does not appear as dull. I've always aimed to try foundations in hope that it would look natural and almost as though i don't have anything on. This is the best foundation i have come across. I hope they don't discontinue this. It's scary since a lot of their older foundations have all stopped. I keep thinking I need to go out and buy two or three spare bottles. I apply this with my Ruby and Millie brush, squirting a tiny blob of foundation onto the back of my hand. It takes a couple of days to get used to pressing the dispenser lightly and letting go quickly. I like the way they use this bottle as then no bateria gets in and no worries of it leaking if it was ever to be in my bag.

I have to say this is my favorite foundation ever. Its fairly light coverage but my, does it give a radiant, dewy glow. Its texture is so smooth, almost glossy and has a plumping effect. Definately a summer foundation. Wonderful!

Great foundation for the summer as it has a dewy and natural effect. Mind you it doesnt like last and doesnt give a great deal of coverage its more meduim light but it is great. It does what is says and gives you the look of rested skin. I am not sure about 10 hour rest but I guest that just sounds better.
It dooesnt look like you are wearing foundation but it does give a light meduim coverage and if you need that bit extrajust use and concealer. I like a foundation that gives full coverage usually but doesnt look cakey and this gives a meduim coverage without looking like you are wearing foundation. It really is a bit of magic to be able to do that. I really rate this as it is a high street price and the coloours are yellow based and although there are few shades there will be a shade for almost everyone. Although I do not think this foundation is good for darker suit tones for black skintones and it is a shame as I think this company should do that as Bourjpois is large brand.
It definately maes skin look fresh and this is a spring and summer must!!! I will buy again, and lets hope this isnt another of there limited editions are bourjoir do change foundations too much!!!!!!!!

I bought this with the hope that it would make me glow and look, well, like I'd had 10 hours sleep! I didn't find it to be brilliant though. It had quite a light coverage and I didn't think it particularly perked my skin up. I don't like the glow enhancing ones that are all sparkly like the Rimmel Recover one, but I was expecting some kind of brightening effect. It's not a bad foundation, but I don't think its anything special.

This is a light to medium coverage foundation that has a "brightening" effect on the skin.

It comes in a pump but is very milky. I found it easiest applied with a sponge rather then a brush especially if you need a fuller coverage, it can be layered.

However, like a colourstay type of foundation it does try quickly and stays put all day (which is a good thing) and I've not found it requires reapplication or touch up.

It doesn'trequire a heavy setting powder. My pressed PX Magic translucent works fine.

When I say brightening effect I do not mean it has a sheeny/illuminating effect just that it makes your skin look more alive and clear.

However, it is not very forgiving if you've got any patchy dryness and does not cover spots very well, but it will make the normal bits look flawless. If your skin is looking tired or sallow this will certainly perk it up and if you have fairly good skin it will make it look even better.

UPDATE
I've repurchased this a few times and it quickly became my favourite liquid foundation especially after seeing the results when I had to have my photo taken for a passport.
