Major rave for this product. I've always had thick, dry and fast growing cuticles that had a tendency to split and crack. I was bloody hangnail city. I bought Solar oil and made a commitment to use it at least once a day. I must say, it's worth it. If you're diligent about applying this daily, you'll see great results. Cuticles stay soft. No cracking, no dryness. The oil absorbs very quickly and is very light. Almond fragrance is quite nice. Keep a bottle by your bedside and apply it every night. You'll like the results. Use it during a manicure to soften your cuticles so you can push them back. I also use it as a nail dryer. I found it cheapest at transdesign.com. A 2.3 oz. bottle was around $12.

Avoplex is much better than this. I bought this in a pinch and it just isn't as good as Avoplex.

I'm not liking this product. I've used it everyday for a long time but I don't see any results. Too bad.

SolarOil was recommended to me by a manicurist/nailtech for my dry cuticles and nails that tend to curve downward. They are healthy and grow incredibly fast other than that. I have definitely noticed a difference. The mix of sweet almond oil w/ other oils smells great and absorbs quickly. Witihn a few minutes my super dry cuticles look great. I also noticed I can grow out my nails a little longer before they start to curve which is great because my nails grow fast I can actually go longer than a week now without having to cut them. A great tip mentioned below, place your bottle on your desk/computer so that you remember to apply it at least once a day for maximum results.

I loved this cuticle treatment! The oil is very light and absorbs completely within about 1/2 hr (my cuticles are very dry and cracking since it is winter in the cold climate where I live). I like that it is easy to apply with the brush and smells good. I noticed an immediate improvement in my cuticles.
Solar Oil is MUCH, MUCH better than cuticle creams like Burts Bees Lemon (that smells good but was messy and didn't absorb for me).
I purchased this at an Ulta store near me for a reasonable $5 (larger size available for $8). A definite new staple in my nail care regime.

I do have to agree with the other reviewers in that it has a nice scent, but I don't really see any difference when I use this. I figure that you could use straight oil and get the same benefits without the price. I didn't really see any point to this because it just didn't do anything for me, even though I wanted it to. Just seems like an extra step that I could do without.

My right index fingernail was forever splitting and chipping, and was always short. Now having used the Solar Oil (and staying off the polish for a while) it is as long, strong and flexible as I could have ever hoped it to be! and cheap, only $6 AUD!

This stuff is a staple. I've used it for years. It makes your cuticles invisible. Put it by your computer so you remember to use it often. I love that light, sweet almond scent, too.

Absorbs well but not in the style of science fiction lol, this is still an oil. Keeps cuticles looking healthy.
Smells good. Wish I would use it more.

My manicurist uses this and I must say it does keep cuticles and nail bed in tip top shape. Wonderful blend of oils in a little bottle with a brush. Yet another Creative Nail product I love. If only I remebered to use it religiously.

This is wonderful! I use it every day (when I remember to!) and it really has made a difference. Not only are my cuticles nice and soft, but my nails have really improved and are now strong, flexible and very rarely break or split. I'm convinced it's the oil! :)

Swear by this stuff. Keeps my nails looking fresh, plus this doubles as a nail dryer, also has a nice cherry almond scent to it.

What it is: An oil blend used on nails, cuticles, and other areas.
Packaging: A clear nail polish like bottle with nail polish brush applicator.
Price:Dependent upon size of bottle bought... around $5 for .25 oz.
Scent: Sweet almonds.
Raves: The scent is so lovely, I really like it just for that reason alone *L*, but it also performs very well. Makes my cuticles very soft and healthy, as well as seeming to make my nails stronger. Also gives the effect of an 'instant manicure', great for when you're in a hurry and you want your natural nails to look great but don't have time for manicure or even polish. Absorbs quickly.
Rants: Goes rancid quickly so if you buy a larger bottle, I hope you are devoted to daily use of it. Also if I really want to nitpick...I wouldn't mind this in a dropper type application bottle instead of the nail polish like packaging.

The best around, as far as cuticle oils go. What I like the best about Solar Oil is its absorption abilities; unlike many other cuticle nail products, this really soaks into dry skin around the nail, where it's needed, and doesn't grease up your fingertips or surfaces that you touch. I find it a little more pricey than other cutcile oils but the quality difference makes it worth spending the couple of extra dollars! The bottle (which sits at a slant for easier application) and the shiny gold box (which I like for its looks) are also plusses!

I have to agree...Solar Oil is niiiiice. People with natural and artifical nails can benefit from its cuticle softening effect, the smell is to die for, and one bottle seems to last forever.
Creatives has also come out with Solar Balm, but I haven't tried that yet...I'm sure it is just as good as the original. :)

If you have dry cuticles or nails, Solar Oil is just what you are looking for. It has only 5 or 6 ingredients and is all natural. It also smells great- like almonds! It is very cheap too.
