YMMV for sure! I love this updated version. It makes my lashes even more intense and longer than the "regular" version. Two thumbs up for me!

As usual, I was underwhelmed *yawn* by this brand...I bought this based on the name(it was also on sale plus I had a coupon),thinking that it may be someting special. It was very disappointing-too wet, didn't give any thickness or volume at all,and flaked off under my eyes by 3:00 PM. Blech.Don't waste your money on this.

i've never been more disappointed! voluminous is my absolute hg masacara, so when i saw full definition in the drugstore, i was ecstatic. it even comes in a sleek gold colored tube. i thought they made my favorite mascara better. i imagined the thick, lush lashes voluminous gave me would be thicker and more defined. went home, tried it right away, and concluded within two minutes of putting it on that it was crap. not even of comparable quality to the original, but pure crap. it made my long, sparse eye lashes look scraggly, thin, and messy. worse, i have to curl my stick straight asian lashes, and this mascara weighed them down and completely took out the curl. thank god it was only $6 and not some $20 high end brand. into the trash can this goes.

This is great mascara. I don't know that it's any better than regular Voluminous, but since it costs the same, I can't complain. The packaging is a little classier, I suppose.
This mascara in black makes my lashes thick and luscious, and it layers well, which is important for me, because I wear tons of mascara.

I totally love this mascara! While the original was okay, this makes lashes fluffy, soft, yet still dramatic. I think this could be holy grail status!

My HG mascara!!! After years of using 2 mascaras (Lancome Definicils on top of L'Oreal Le Grand Curl)to achieve volume and length, I'm thrilled to finally find one mascara that both thickens and lengthens beautifully! And a a reasonable price!

This must be a YMMV product! I was apprehensive about purchasing after reading some of the negatives, but I went ahead and I like it! It did not smear or smudge for me, and it doesn't flake, which is a problem for me sometimes. The formula is very "wet", but dried quickly. All in all I like the regular a bit better since I don't need so much definition (I get spiky), I need more thickness. But still, a worthy purchase.

I'm a faithful user of the regular and wp versions of Voluminious. I don't think this is an improvement on those two. Will stick to my tried-and-true.

This purchase was a disappointment. I rather like Voluminous mascara, but this formulation not only managed to straighten my long, naturally curly lashes...it also made them appear a couple of millimeters shorter! This was true even after using an eyelash curler.
If you are willing to sacrifice length and curl for excessive volume, this mascara is for you. Otherwise, stick with the regular formula.

At first I assumed the introduction of Full Definition was in response to all the complaints about Voluminous' formula changes in recent years. L'Oreal has definitely been making their mascaras a lot goopier since the introduction of Voluminous "x4." Only Featherlash is made thin enough to comb through (and sometimes it doesn't have to be combed through at all), and I wrongfully assumed that Full Definition was going to combine Voluminous' dramatic effects with Featherlash's ability to separate and define. But instead, this is just a somewhat lighter version of Voluminous "x4," but that's not enough to justify another new mascara. The texture is indeed softer in feel, but still heavy in weight, and even a metal lash comb cannot undo most of its bonding. And strangely, I can't remember a previous Voluminous formula which lengthens this poorly.

I'm a big fan of the regular Voluminous, so I decided to try this. It seems a lot more nourishing and leaves your lashes soft. There was a bit of clumping, but I went back and brushed through with a clean spooly brush, which worked. There was no flaking, and it definitely thickened and held the curl of the lashes!

WOW. So impressed w/ this mascara. Might just be my HG drug store mascara, still doesnt compare to lancome magnificils but a great for me nonetheless. Doesnt clump, flake, etc. Really defines my lashes, every last little hair, and hte blackest black, is just that. Even w/ just one coat.

I really like this mascara. It is wet, but it still manages to thicken. I liked the regular voluminous, BUT it flaked on me after a couple of weeks. This mascara hasn't done that to me yet. I'll update my review if it does. This mascara is greasier than the orginal and that is why I like it . . . it may be the reason why the mascara doesn't flake.
Upon opening this mascara, it provided more volume than the original. I must say, though, that generally after using the original voluminous for a few weeks, my lashes look very thick. We'll see if this new baby follows suit. Will update. : )

I think this is pretty much identical to the regular voluminous(my all time favorite mascara), just slightly better looking packaging. That said, it thickens like no other mascara I've tried, and it doesn't clump, provided I wipe off the wand s bit before applying.

hmm, well i love the orginal so i had very high expectations for this. it does give volume, and even good length, it does define better than average mascaras. with a new tube if you don't roll the brush you might get tiny little clumps, but they are tiny and easily smooth out with another stroke of the brush. this formula does seem oilier than the original. not a problem for me so far, but if you normally have oily eyelids or any problems with smudging mascara or dissapearing eyemakeup, you'll maybe want to skip this one, cause that may be a problem with this mascara for anyone with those issues normally. doesn't seem to flake though, so at least it's not too dry. not sure about a rebuy, i'll have to wait the 3 months to finish this tube and see if i rebuy it then. i'd say this is about the same to just below the quality of the original.

I picked this up because I thought.. "hey, if I like the regular Voluminous so much, since this is on a brand new display, it must be better, right?" Wrong! This mascara is the worst greasiest, clumpiest mascara that I have seen in a while, and it can't even compare to the original Voluminous. I know why this mascara stinks so bad.. it's that "Vitamin E lash coat technology" that makes your lashes a strange mixure of oily and clumpy. Vitamin E is good for your skin, but not for your lashes.

I really like this mascara, even more than the original. It makes my lashes look full and long, and doesnt flake as much as the original. I usually wear waterproof, but I like this formula. My trick it to put it on first, wait till it drys a bit , then put some layers of a waterproof over it. It has never smudged. It doesnt immediately run down your face on exposure to water either.

I was expecting a better experience from this. I thought it would be like the regular Voluminous but less clumpy ... I was wrong. It seemed extra thick, like maybe I got an old tube that had dried out a bit, and it smudged terribly by the end of the day (and I don't usually have that problem). The original Voluminous is so much better in my opinion.

I went out to buy this mascara at Target (saw it at Walmart a couple weeks ago) but they only had the regular Voluminous, but I do like it...wondering what the difference is and if i'll like full definition even more!
I'm making this review to even out the one a few below...the person that gave it a 1 but hasnt tried it obviously because they said they can't find it. That's what the board is for... it's such a pet peeve to me when people give a product a bad rating that havent tried so I just wanted to make up for that review!

I think I finally found it. My holy grail mascara. In the past, I have never had luck with L'Oreal mascara, but reading reviews on MUA perked my interest.
I went out in search for a volumizing mascara that was dramatic, but not "scary cheerleader girl dramatic" for my naturally long eyelashes, and still suitable for contact lenses. I have been wearing this everyday and I have never gotten so many questions asking about what do i have on my lashes!
It does smudge just a tad, but messy make-up is coming back in style now, right? lol :)
i will def. repurchase. Thanks MUA!
