I returned this- I don't know what went wrong! This worked similar to the NY cheapo concealer on me. It is thick, heavy, creased like hell under my eyes and didn't last all day on the rest of my face.

Dermablend will cover just about anything. They have a pretty good selection of colors especially if you order online. It has great staying power if used with a setting powder. I only use this on problem spots as I think it is a pretty heavy makeup and I blend, blend, blend. I apply concealers with artist oil paint brushes and you can't even tell it is on if you have the right color match. Also has an SPF of 15 which is an added bonus.

I couldn't live without my Dermablend cover cream - it is THE concealer for anyone with serious scars, birthmarks or other imperfections that need to be covered up.

I have a face full of acne scars, and once and while, I still get serious breakouts. The Cover Cream, no lie, makes me look like I have perfect, flawless skin. And I frequently get complimented on my 'perfect complexion' If only those folks saw me without makeup! I am frequently photographed and I appear on stage and on camera - and my face always looks flawless!

The application is soooo important. If you cake it on, it will crack and look and feel obvious. I put on a layer of foundation, then with a light touch, I dot on the Cover Creme right onto a spot (either with a finger, or a Q tip) then I sort of buff it with a sponge, and then I apply another light dot and buff until it's covered.... Then, I dab a sponge into the pot, and use the sponge to lightly dab the creme onto my eyelids, undereyes and nose.
Then, I use pressed powder in my skin tone, (not dermablend)and proceed with blush, eyeshadow etc. And I finish with a light overall dusting of the Dermablend setting powder.

I've seen other complaints that the shades aren't a good match. I guess I'm lucky because Chroma 0 is the exactly right shade for me.

It sounds like a lot of work, but after 5 years, I'm used to the routine. And the results make the time well worth it! The trick is to use light layers - you can't glop it on! My face lasts all day. it doesn't get greasy, and it doesn't fade either.

It's also very economical, I can't even remember how much I pay because the jar lasts me about a year.

My only complaint is that every jar I have had cracks! All of my Cover Creme jars have separated from their base. (it doesn't affect the product, it's like the inner jar breaks out of the lower base when you try to twist the lid open) But....if a cheaper plastic jar helps keep the cost down - that's fine with me.

And no, you can't travel with the setting powder. The lid doesn't lock onto the jar. You would have to get the compact.

I purchased Dermablend Reflections concealer . . . I'm not sure Cover Cream is the same. However, I like this concealer, but it doesn't work miracles. It is very nice because it doesn't clump up and stays intact throughout the entire day. I found that I had to wear it under my foundation, as well as apply a few coats but it does appear UNNOTICEABLE. (Very nice). It isn't the greatest for covering dark eye cirles, which is what I was hoping it would hide. I normally buy Clinique's Advanced Concealor which does cover the dark cirles but is far too chalky and actually makes me look older than I really am (35). I'll stick with Dermablend until something better comes along.

One of the best concealers i've used period. I have a small hyperpigmentation spot, result of an acne scar. It's creamy/powder base (C3 Honey Beige) effectively hides anything and everything. I'm not too fond of the packaging but I swear by this concealer.

Excellent, excellent powder! It settles makeup beautifully, even if you happen to use foundation other than Dermablend's. I actually acquired this powder by purchasing one of Dermablend's kits (the one for eye care). I usually avoid powders like the plague, because they tend to settle in my expression lines. But this one doesn't, which makes it worth it's weight in gold.

This is my holy grail of concealers. It works like none other to cover the redness I have around my nose and while it appears heavy in the container it is undetectible when blended correctly and lasts forever. I would not want to live without this product on hand.

This stuff looked great on me at first and it covered every imperfection. But then after about 4 hours my face started cracking. It looked very terrible and embarassing. I would not use this again.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. The only problem is that it leaves my skin a little bit oily. I've never had that problem before. Other than that, I found my perfect match which is 1 3/4(saffron beige). I think this color is being discontinued so I tried to stock up on as much as I could in one visit. Anyhow, this is the only foundation that has made my skin look flawless w/o looking too cakey. I was so exited the first time I tried this on. The first time I was ever able to apply any makeup just over the freckles w/o a makeup line or obvious discoloration. Now I just need to figure out how to make my skin less oily and I'm set for life.
*UPDATE 12/17/08*
This is on the thick side. It makes my eczema worse when applied. I prefer to use other concealers if possible but when nothing else can conceal - I'll still use this to get the job done!

I could not live without this product. I have scars on my face from a car accident when I was a child. I have had multiple reconstructive surgeries which have helped tremendously, but I still have some things to hide. This products works great. I use it all over my face, not just over my scars. Now, my mother is interested in using it just to help cover freckles, etc... It is very thick and feels heavy on your face, but amazigly, does not look like you have a thick makeup on.

This product isn't for everyone, but I love it. I have the cover cream in the lightest shade, Natural Bare, and I use it around my eyes and nose. As most of you know from my posts, I recently went through hell w/my face. I had to use a chemotherapy cream to kill pre-cancerous areas. Although that is healed now, I still have redness in the areas that were treated - under my eyes and around my nose. NOT very pretty! So, I use my regular foundation on the rest of my face, and use the Dermablend on these areas that are harder to cover. It blends easily, gives great coverage, lasts without creasing or streaking, etc.

Very good full coverage for those with bad skin. I have heavily pigmented skin and went through a bout of adult acne. So when acne goes away, it leaves scars. This foundation covers everything! Very opaque, full coverage to mask over discoloration, acne, anything you want to hide and give you an even skin tone look. A very little goes a long way so use sparingly especially on parts of your face that don't need much coverage.

This stuff is great. It lasts forever, it covers anything -- and I inherited (thank you, Daddy) the darkest, bluest under-eye circles in the world.
It's much drier than the Covermark, and comes in a little pot from which you scrape out a bit of product. My only gripe is that the colors have always been a bit too pink to make a perfect match for me. When they offer a yellow based concealer, it will be a perfect product. UPDATE: I mentioned it's too pink: it's too pink. Period. Would not repurchase unless they added a new shade with yellow base.

This is my grail concealer. I've never found anything that covers better. I dot it on with a taklon brush to keep the application light, otherwise it can look like spackle.

This covers the spider veins on my left thigh very well. The color range is very limited, and the closest color is pinker than I would like.

Covers things brilliantly. But I must say, the colors are the pits! The lightest shades are way, way, way, way, way, way too pink. Did I mention they're too pink? I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it had yellow or even peachier-based colors on the pale end of the spectrum. Till then, no dice.

I bought a discovery kit, that had two cover creams, the setting powder, the remover and cleanser, for about $20. I planned on using it to cover scares on my knees from surgery but I could not use it. The lightest shade chroma 0 is not light, it was so orange it looked terrible. Even with moisturizer it still didnt go on easy. I would never buy this product again.

This product is AMAZZZZZZING!! I have never gotten so many comments before. Having mild psoriasis and acne prone skin was no match for Dermablend. It covered up all the uneven skin tones on my face and made me look flawless! I am between medium and dark shades, and thus bought both to create my own shade(took some time). I bought it off of the shopping channel, so you get great bargains (showstoppers)and good pakages/groups of products together, however pricey on own. If you were to take all the products together in purse, you'd better have a tote bag, b/c the setting powder is a good size (but not made to travel!) then the pots of concealer, the sponge I apply it with, and of course, the powder brush. Overall, I'm addicted!

Yes, this stuff definitely covers up even the most serious flaws! I use this on my tatoo when needed. The only problem that I have is that most of the shades are too pink or peach, and the neutral shade is too ashen. I wish they would develop some yellow-based shades for we olive/yellow toned gals!

Awesome concealer - I use this to cover my bright red tattoo and it works better than anything I have ever tried. Also wonderful for blotchy facial spots, undereye circles, scars. The colors are also fab; it blends right into my skin and is 100% unnoticeable. Not oily, not drying, does not move an inch. Great stuff!
