This color was one of my first MAC purchases, based on the recommendation of a MAC artist. He said "Buy Shale, Wedge, and Sumputious Olive. And, thank me later." And he was right on - Wedge is perfect for my crease color. It blends perfectly with SO, and Shale. It helps bring out the green in my muddy eyes, and never brings out the dark circles I may (or may not, depending on the day) have. Plus, it's completely buildable - I can put on more without having a chalky look. It also looks fairly natural on me, so I can wear it alone in my lid for just a hint of "something."

Wedge is a red-based medium brown. It has a matte finish, and I use it with almost everything. This might be the first color I hit the pan on.

This is doubling for me as a brow filler and a crease color. The MA picked it out for me, and told me how to apply it. Starting from directly above the pupil, go in a winshield wiper pattern.

She said to go above the crease area and up to the bone in order to get a contrasting look. Stopping at the acutal crease will mean the darker color disappears when you open your eyes and the lid covers it.

And DON'T use a frost shade in the crease. The frost won't provide the contrast.

I don't know if I'm imagining things, but I think this shade is just a tad too light for me. I want a little more difference in the crease/ bone area. I would buy as a brow filler but not as an eyeshadow color.

I like this as a brow colour too! Its not as harsh as a dark brown as I've found that dark browns on my brow only tend to make me look really aged and painted.
Update: Now that I AM really aged and not as painted as before, I still love Wedge and use it on the inner corners of my brows.Normally I use Fake for my brows however, the texture for Fake is displeasing and streaky...Wedge has a lovely soft, smooth texture so it helps to blend in Fake nicely.

This is a pretty, light to medium neutral brown shade. I have auburn hair and have been looking for a natural shade (without any sparkle) to enhance the red tones in my brows without shouting "red". Wedge worked well for this but I've recently started using Saddle as a brow filler because it's a bit darker and warmer. Now, I use Wedge in the crease and love it! It's not too dark and looks very natural (I'm an NC25). Will definitely purchase again.

And I thought it was just me...
YES, there ARE red undertones in this eyeshadow! Wedge looks like such a neutral, mid-toned brown in the pan, but on my eyes, all I see is the red! I tried this a couple of times as a crease color, and when I looked in my car mirror (outdoor light), I thought, "YIKES! Where did the red-irritated-allergy-eye-look come from??"
EDIT 6/21/10: Started using this again for whatever reason... and I don't know why... but this doesn't appear so "orange" or "red" on my skin anymore. Now it looks like the most natural contour color, whether I use it in my creases or as a cheek contour. I have been reaching for Wedge so much lately, I am probably going to have to buy another one soon. So, yes... I will now repurchase!

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Other, Fair-Medium   Hair: Brunette   Eyes: Brown

This is a medium brown with just a hint of red undertone. I have light brown eyes that are ligth because they have a bit of yellow/green in them. They are NOT hazel, they are all one color but are a light brown if that makes sense. It really brings my eyes out and I can even use this as a wash (very lightly) and get away with it for a subtle evening look.

I love this color. Its a nice med. brown. I wear it everyday, if I want a more suptle light color for day, all I need is just one application. For night I can create a more smokey eye, with like 3 applications. MY FAVORITE!!

This gets three lippies from me only because the color doesn't work for me personally. This is a beautiful golden brown with a touch of red in it, and I can think of several friends where this would be THE perfect eyebrow filler. However, as an eyeshadow, the red undertone makes it tough to wear. On my eyelids, this color makes me look like I have allergies! Back to the MAC store this goes. Omega, which is another brown but more on the cool side, ended up being the perfect mid-tone brown for my NC30 Asian eyelids.

I've been brushing this color into my sparse, lifeless brows for years and it is just perfect. The right color and good staying power. I use this absolutely every day. If it was ever discontinued, I would have to go into solitary confinement until I found an adequate replacement.

Wedge is a neutral brown colour. The texture is matte, and it goes on smoothly. I think that this is the only matte MAC e/s that I get on with, as the others I have tried have been difficult to blend. Luckily this isn't the case with Wedge, because the colour is so nice on my blue eyes. As with all MAC e/s, it lasts well. I have already repurchased this, and I will continue to do so. Me: N1/NC15, blue eyes, blonde hair.

It's the perfect medium true golden brown. This is my HG eyebrow color. If it was discontinued - it would devastate me! Nothing works better for my eyebrows. UPDATE: I have been using this for years to fill in my brows. The color is perfection!

Wedge is a matte light to medium brown/beige color. I use it as a crease color because I'm pale. I love the texture and the color is really beautiful. It's a staple eye shadow to create a natural, soft eye look. I love this color and was fortunate that a friend gave it to or else I probably never would have tried it.

Wedge is my absolute favorite eyeshadow. I wear it practically every day as a wash. I dress it up if needed with just about any other shade (e.g. vex, satin taupe). I have brown hair and dark brown eyes. It looks so natural against my extremely fair complextion.

This is a great lid or crease color. I'm pale, but I find I can wear this in my crease for great definition without being too dark. It's basic, but it is a must-have.

This is a matte medium beige, that anyone can use.The color only enhances your eyes rather than adds color,so it looks as if your not even wearing anything.

Finally I have found my perfect brow color! The MA tried this one on me and it's exactly what I've been looking for. It's great for adding a little color and definition, but it doesn't make my brows look painted on. I just brush some of this in my brows and then top off with some clear mascara. It stays natural looking all day. Yay!

I also use it sometimes as a basic neutral lid color paired with bisque or yogurt as a hilighter along the brow. Works great!
