I bought this mascara after having a great experience using Maybelline's "Colossal" mascara, but I was left underwhelmed with their "Falsies Flared". It darkens and lengthens my lashes just a tad bit, but it adds little to no volume and definitely cannot hold curl like it promises without the aid of an eyelash curler.
There are better drugstore mascaras you could buy for the same price, I wouldn't recommend choosing this one!

I have only recently been trying out mascaras and really noticing what they do for me. I decided to try this for a change recently and was quite impressed.
I've mentioned before (and I'll say this again) I naturally have lashes that are quite thick and healthy so my demands from a mascara aren't really all too crazy.
I did find that this gave some extra length to my lashes and made them feel more dramatic. Nonetheless, this may be too dramatic for some people's taste.
I may consider re-purchasing this somewhere along the line but I think I would also like to try out some more mascaras along the way.

I have naturally long lashes but length and volume is always nice so I stick with The Falsies! But, I sent my friend to the store to buy me regular Falsies but she accidently got it in Flared.
I thought about getting it before but I read so many poor reviews that I decided not to.
But since I had it I might as well try it right?
THIS IS AWFUL.
It was clumpy and dry.
The wand is a pain in the butt to use. I actually had to return it after two days of using it!
It was constantly falling in my eyes, like at the end of the day I would honestly have black chunks of mascara, floating, In my eyes.
I would give it an A+ for length! Because it makes them long but they look disgusting.
I do NOT reccomend getting this product at all.

I've never said this about a mascara before, but this stuff is HORRIBLE! It does separate, but it doesn't lengthen or add volume any more than any other mascara. It does have something in it that makes the ends curl up, but the REAL PROBLEM is that not all my lashes curled up, some of the tips curled in. So they were separated alright, but they looked like split ends on hair with some pointing one direction and some another. Never seen anything like it. I had it on one eye and another mascara on the other (both eyes had been curled prior to mascara) and I let it dry about an hour and then asked a few other people for their opinions and they all said the Falsies eye look bad. Some of the words they used were spidery with weird flaky ends.
Taking it off was a nightmare too. I generally wear waterproof mascara, so I think I know how to remove tough mascara properly without loosing eye lashes. I would say this was one of the hardest to remove I've seen but even worse, it came off in small flaky chunks that ended up all over my cheeks. After removing what I could, I washed my face as usual and had a heck of a time getting all those little specks off, there were even a few floating around by morning still. Never seen anything like that before.

I wasn't really impressed with this mascara at all. It was kind of dried out already when I just opened it and it pales in comparison to the original falsies. The brush is way to uncontrollable and bendy. I was a little unhappy with the outcome.

I bought this just to try it out. I got the waterproof and use it for layering, to help my lashes stay curled. I think it works decently. It's not my favorite but one I have bought again. When wearing alone, I don't think it gave my lashes a false lash effect, it was pretty natural looking. I personally like more dramatic lashes all the time, so I layer over this with other mascaras. I do think it works well for layering. It doesn't make my lashes crispy. The formula isn't as wet as the other falsies mascaras, I like that.

It was super clumpy, flaked and didn't make my eyelashes look more full at all! How disappointing!!!!!

I really didn't think this product was worth it....it really just kind of felt and gave the same results as all of the other maybelline mascaras. I don't know why i bought this hahaha because i have naturally flared lashes! BEAUTY TIP: USE VASILINE EVERY NIGHT ON YOUR LASHES FOR AMAZING AND FABULOUS RESULTS! CAUTION: IT BURNS WHEN YOU GET IT IN YOUR EYES, BE CAREFUL!
cheers, legallybrunettes881j

I really, really did not like this product.
- - -
Pros - very black, very pigmented. Lashes are noticeably darker and dramatic. The spoon shape of the brush is great for reaching lots of lashes at once.
- - -
Cons - CLUMPS. FLAKY. spider lashes. The spoon shape of the brush also makes it awkward for trying to reach inner and outer lashes.
- - -
Over all - I liked the original Falsies, but this is just awful. Yes, your lashes will be really dramatic, but you will need a lash comb after using this mascara. I've never had a problem with lashes clumping and with this mascara it would take sections of lashes and pretty much glue them together. Also, at the end of the day I noticed mascara had flaked under my eyes. There are other comparably priced mascaras on the market that do a better job.

I was hoping to like this, and at first I did, until I compared it to my other mascaras. It clumps too much and is hard to build up. After using my Lancome Hypnose again I noticed how dry and flaky this mascara gets. I much prefer Lashblast volume for the same effect and price.

I bought this mascara a few weeks ago, and I have to say I am completely in love with it. I used the same type of mascara for years and on a whim decided to purchase The Falsies Flared. It's cheap enough I figured why not. I love the brush because it really does flare your lashes. It makes them look long and gives them volume while not being clumpy or super fake looking. It doesn't make me look like I'm wearing false eyelashes, but I didn't really expect it to. The formula of the regular smells faintly of rosewater which I love. I swear by this mascara now because it's perfect for everyday or for special occasions.

I'm not too impressed with this product. I like the original falsies alot more. This seemed to stay wet on my lashes and I didn't notice any kind of flared look to them either. I will not repurchase this particular falsies again.

Meh. I don't get the "false lash effect" with this. In fact, my lashes seem more natural with this mascara.
I have the waterproof version.
It separates my lashes nicely and it does flare them out, like the name implies.
It's not bad, but I won't repurchase because I love dramatic lashes.
Edit: Ok, this stuff flakes like crazy if I wear it for more than 3 hours, pretty awful. I threw it out!

Used this for the first time today, and just had to review it! This one is way better than the original falsies because it gives my lashes such length and volume! no clumps here! Mine is the waterproof version so I dont know if I can say the same for the regular formula! It didnt weight my lashes in any form and I love how they are looking. So far, this one and my Maybelline Collosal is my favooorite & HG :)))

First time I used this I used the wrong 'side' of the brush. I ended up with massive gooey clumps. Then I used the 'right' side of the brush (it's a curved brush), and I got clumpy lashes again! I think I'll be sticking to my full'n'soft mascara, this stuff flakes AND clumps!

This mascara is a nightmare, not only does it flake, but it clumps lashes. If you want to use up the supply make sure you do a second coat of Covergirl volume
express over the falsies it works very well.

I bought this on a whim because I needed some mascara. My friend uses the regular falsies and loves it. I saw this and the "flared" part caught my eye, so I bought it.
No bueno!!!
Oh the flakes!! This stuff flakes on me like nobody's business. I've had it on an hour and I am already brushing flakes off my face! I will not be repurchasing. Don't waste your money ladies and gentlemen!

I usually use Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara, but it's always hard to get hold of in black, so I recently ended up with this.
Colour: I like very black mascaras, and this is acceptably intense in colour.
Volume: I did get some volume from this, but it wasn't amazing. Instead it seemed to give that 'many, defined lashes' rather than 'thick lashes' look. Can get clumpy looking if I brush it over my lashes too many times/apply it when there's a lot of formula clinging to the wand. This is easily fixed for me using an old cleaned off MF Masterpiece mascara wand (the spiky rubber bristles make it great for this).
Length: I would say this gives me decent/average length on the majority of my lashes, and good length on my outer lashes. I don't think it's actually making them longer, but it manages to reach and thus darken/thicken further along my outermost lashes better than usual (see below).
Wand: I actually really like this shaped wand. It really lets me get the lashes at the outer corner of my eye, which I often can't get to properly because they're quite curled and the curve of my eye is quite round. This does mean I end up with more of a flared/sixties flick kind of look (as the name implies), which I like.
Curl: About the same for me as the 2000 Calorie, but I have naturally curled lashes, so the curl aspect is not normally able to make a significant difference for me with any mascara. If you have straight lashes, check a review that mentions they have straightish lashes also.
Overall, I was actually pretty surprised by how well this mascara worked for me, considering I've hated the other Maybelline mascaras I've tried. If I can't get hold of 2000 Calorie again, I would find this acceptable.

Well, I have the Falsies in Black Drama and I love it. Not so much with the flared version. For some reason, this seems to be alot clumpier and give me spider lashes worse than anything else. Maybe I got a bad tube? IDK, but this is gross. It weighs my lashes down and makes them stick together, leaving big black clumps between them, even though I swipe off the excess from the brush first. Got it for $5 so I'm not too upset, but straight into the garbage with this!
