I bought this particular color in one of the Avon mini sizes when they were recently offered and on special. Midnight Plum is the kind of vampy, dark purple that I like. I don't normally have issues with wear using any polish brand (I use a "grabber" kind of basecoat, with a fast dry, shiny topcoat), and this one was no exception. Of all of Avon's products, I'm most continually impressed with their nail polishes. I plan on buying a full size of this to add to my fall/winter arsenal, although I do vampy colors year long.

I took away one lippie because I really wanted to see more of a purple in this shade. It is a better color for fall and winter but not something I could wear that often. I do like Avon polishes in general though as they seem to last longer than most store brands when applied correctly with a base and top coat. Dark colors always seem to wear off on the tips of my nails due to house work probably. This is a great shade for those who love the more darker colors especially around Halloween time. Can't quite tell if it is black or purple unless you wear clothing that brings out the plum tint.

Love this product in this shade! The color is beautiful! My mani lasted two weeks - no chipping or flaking of any kind and that's without any touchups. The formula definitely strengthens my nails as well. Would absolute purchase again.

Good formula, but the color is way too dark for me. I do like many dark polishes, but this has an almost brown tone which I really don't like.

This is such a pretty, pretty color.perfect for fall and winter!it's a deep, plum purple.you need about two coats to cover up the streakiness of the first, and make the color more intense.with two coats, this is black if glanced at for one second.but upon closer inspection,it's a beautiful deep plum!this is very streaky, and luckily doesn't stain the nails, even without a base coat, which I shldve used anyways.I actually tried this at a friends house.if u cannot stand streakiness, don't try this, but if u think u can make it work,go for it!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Very Oily, Tan, Warm Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
This is a almost black plum color, after 2 coats its pretty much black, not plum at all. Currently I have it on my toes, I was hoping for it to be more shiner but its not. you need a super shiny top coat to make it look expensive looking.

After reading the rave reviews and seeing the swatch in the Avon catalog, I decided to try Midnight Plum for the fall. $3 didn't seem like too much to lose. The color is a very dark, rich cream plum. With 2 coats it's opaque, but so dark on my pale skin that it looks like black Sharpie. I love the color in the bottle, but it doesn't translate to my nails. Good price and quality for Avon, just not something I would try again.

I am so in love with this nail polish. It's such a beautiful dark plum, it looks gorgeous on nails. It dries fairly quickly and it was a great price!

I love this, and it's on my nail as we speak! The color is a blackened plum, as described by other gals. I always use Seche Vite top coat, which turns any average nail polish into a superior one, in my opinion! I use base coat, 2 coats of polish and a topper of SV. The next day I tip the ends with color, and another layer of SV. Amazing. I am going to touch up today, after 4 days, and I think it will go another 2.

i agree this is a great dupe for Lincoln park at midnight! a very rich blackish purple that looks so chic. i took one lippee off because all avon polishes chip on me. but it's so cheap i do not really mind that all too much. :)

OMG!!! LOOOOOOVE this colour!!!! it's like a deep dark plum... almost black but not quite. Kinda goth looking which i love! Dries very quickly and it's super shiney too!!

I expected this to be a deep eggplant colour. It looks like so in the bottle, but looks like deep burgandy w/ a hint of purple when applied. It's a creme finish and I needed 2 coats. I wear it w/ base & top coat, and I wear gloves when washing dishes. This only lasted 2 days and chipping quickly occurred. I don't regret buying this because it's cheap and Avon is a brand I trust.

I think I’m in love. Avon have reformulated their Nailwear range, so naturally I needed to check it out. I immediately fell for the photo of MIDNIGHT PLUM, so waited with bated breath for it to arrive, knowing most of the products I receive never match the pictures in the brochures. I got lucky; this is just like the photo, a rich eggplant colour, with a lovely, shiny crème finish.
The formula is smooth to apply and is quick to dry. As the colour is highly pigmented you really only need one coat and it dries quickly (within three minutes). The new formula contains diamond dust and acrylic, to make the polish more hardwearing and to protect your nails.
The updated brush rod has channels along the whole length: so the brush won’t be overloaded with polish = no messy glop’s or drips. The brush is now wider, so it takes only two strokes to evenly paint the nail.
Using my usual base & top coats this polish will last me around 2/3 days with only minimal wear; but I’m tough on my nails (self powered wheelchair user), so it will probably last longer on other people.
Avon’s new-look Nailwear has exceeded my expectations; I’m loving it. I‘ve always found Avon to be hit and miss quality wise, but this range is in the keeper category. The new formula is the same fantastic quality as is double-the-price contenders.

A friend bought this for me as a gift, and I fell in love with the bottle color. Even better, the bottle color was achievable with 2 coats. I found the formula a bit thick & gloopy, but it was workable. I definitely recommend applying more than 1 coat because the polish is thick and difficult to keep even. However, after 2 very careful coats, I have a beautiful dark eggplant manicure that is gorgeous. Could be dupish to OPI Siberian Nights or China Glaze VIII, so if you have either, you could probably pass on this. The base color is similar to OPI Lincoln Park at Midnight, but LPAM has shimmer, and Midnight Plum is a creme.

I hardly ever wear nailpolish but I adore this! I have worm it with only a basecoat and it has lasted 2 weeks with only minor chipping. Like other reviewers have said it has no shimmer, which I love. It has a gel like consistency, which is nice for finding that perfect amount to apply and it smooths itself out on the nails. I am terrible at putting on nailcolour but I got a uniform gorgeous eggplant colour with no streaks! This is such a great deal!

I love this shade! It's a rich, dark plum with no shimmer, only cream. It only tkaes about one coat. It looks black. My only grip is that it tends to chip and peel so easily from chores and housework that you need to apply more and more all the time :(
Age: 36-43 Skin: Other Hair: Other Eyes: Other
I adore this color. It is a deep plum purple, almost a blackberry color. It looks fantastic with long or short nails. Avon Nailwear tends to last a long time on my nails before chipping, though I do use a basecoat and topcoat.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry, Olive Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Coarse Eyes: Brown
This is a bang on dupe for OPI's Lincoln Park At Midnight. I just did one foot in LPAM and one in Midnight Plum - cannot tell the difference with three coats. High quality stuff, would definitely purchase more avon shades!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Very Dry, Fair-Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
This is the best colour ever! I love how it is a deep purple, and at times it looks so dark that it is blackish. I love this colour. It is perfect for anyone! Cheers AVON!
Age: 44-55 Skin: Dry, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
I agree with the reviewers who sing the praises of this nail color-a deep, black purple that holds its own with high-end polishes in terms of depth of color and staying power. This polish did not start to chip until day 5-Avon claims "this long-wearing formula bends with the nails to help resist cracks, breaks and chips."How can you beat the price-$2.99.Watch for it in their clearance sales and grab it!
