Pros: hydrating, longwearing, doesn't cling to dry spotsCons: shimmer
"I was given this foundation after my aunt wasn't able to make it work for her, I'm usually a Type 3/4 but recently the skin around my 'muzzle' as I call it has got so dry and flakey it's been hideous.
My first reaction to the foundation was that I'd be looking like oilslick wiithin an hour, but 5 hours in and no excessive oils I was pretty impressed. Even my matte/longwear foundations don't usually last that long.
I like the formula, it glides on nicely with a duo-fibre style brush, and it doesn't streak or go patchy. I usually use a pea-sized amount, so even thought it's alot more expensive that what I'd usually spend on a foundation, I do think it's worth it, and doing my face in the morning takes half the time using this.
I'm not too keen on the amount of glitter in the formula, but once you've powdered, the dewy glow is a little more subtle. Love the staying power, it only requires a few touch ups during the day, but I guess that's to be expected when it's not typically for your skin type.
Overall, very pleased with the product, but I feel as the weather warms up it may be a short-lived love affair as the dryness in my skin will disappears with the rising temperature.
Overall, love this for an everyday foundation & can't wait to try more."

I have very sensitive and dry skin. I'm always hesitant to use liquid foundations in fear of an allergic reaction. This however worked wonders on my skin. It blended well, however I could go without the bits of glitter in it, overall finish was a bit to sparkly for my taste. I little did go a long way for me, I tend to have redness and uneven skin tone. While I try not to wear any make up during a dry skin or allergy breakout, due to work I had to and used this foundation, it covered well and didn't irritate my skin at all. It cleans off easily and after removal it doesn't leave my skin harsh and dry like most liquid foundations. I will buy again!

I bought this product because I was in need of a good coverage foundation, and also to try something different because I always used to stick with powders for the safety of not breaking out, as my skin tends to do with liquids. I was skeptical, because most liquid foundations leaves a dewy look on me and causes acne, and also because lately my skin has been very troublesome and disturbed. I don't know what's causing it, but I have dry skin if I don't put enough moisturizer (I put like 2 layers on), I'm breaking out, my skin gets itchy, it's flaky... Yeah it's super annoying, and my skin used to look real good too!
Anywho, the lady at the counter put it on the left half of my face and I was truthfully somewhat surprised. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin; there was no burning sensation and it didn't disrupt my flaky skin. It felt calm and just normal. The shade was PERFECT on my skin. It had pretty good coverage. Maybe a little too much for me but it was needed since I have all these stupid pimples everywhere. Feels a little heavier than my bare minerals ready foundation but for the look it gave me I can't complain; covered the redness in my acne and made my skin look still like skin. Since I haven't exfoliated in a while when I tried this I will do another update in a day or two after I apply my foundation on top of exfoliated skin. Some flakiness was accentuated with this foundation, but after fixing it with my MAC setting spray it looked better.
I actually really like the packaging, I don't know why. It's really simple, comes in a small tube and a mirrored cap. It looks chic and professional. The price is really expensive, but I can't really use drug store brands because I don't trust them on my skin. All and all I can say that I am impressed with this foundation, gives good coverage and a natural look. When I took it off after 8 hours of wear my pimples looked more red, like they couldn't breathe with my foundation so maybe I should limit my use on this stuff...
EDIT: I'm surprised and how this stuff doesn't break me out, and it does do the job at hydrating my skin. However, it accentuates my flaky skin and my bumps. The glitter further accentuates those flaws as well. I think I can see why they added shimmer because without it it does look dull. Also I noticed that my skin just felt... uncomfortable. It felt a little heavy and I hate that feeling! One lippie down.

I picked up a sample on my lunch break today, as I've been on the hunt for a new foundation.
She tried it on in the shop, it looked okay but I asked for a pot as you can't really tell how it really is until you apply it your own way.
I came back to the office and applied it.
It has a thick texture, it was also a lot darker than the tiny swab she gave me.
It was too dark but I decided to work with it, blending it down a bit. it looks slightly dewy, maybe that's from the sparkles? The darker tone makes me look like I've been out in the sun but my skin doesn't look like mine, nor does it look like skin. Maybe it's because I'm so used to BB cream.
It's been on for 2 hours now, and my face feels gross. Thick, heavy, slimy and just not normal! I feel like there's cement on my face even though the coverage isn't as heavy, as say, MAC.
May work for other people, but didn't work for me.

This product has been recommended to me by a pharmacist, so I thought it must be good for my skin. Well, it is. It does moisturize my dry skin and provides a light to medium coverage. But I still have a love-hate relationship with this foundation. I don't like the sparkles and it seems to accentuate the unevenness of my forehead. I don't know why this is, but I normally don't use this product because of that, which is really annoying considering the price you pay for this.

I bought this in Ivory which is a perfect match for my skin. I have extremely dry and sensitive skin. This works great. It has a sheer to light coverage and some sparkles. This is very moisturizing but doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It evens out my skin tone and makes it look flawless. It doesn't irritate my skin at all.
Because of the sparkles I think this product is best suited for older ladies or those with very dry skin that tends to get dull. I would not recommend to someone with normal or oily skin or someone who wants moderate to full coverage.
I have noticed the moisturizing foundations making my skin appear white and shiny in pictures. But I cannot wear powders (too drying) or matte finish (too drying) or long wear makeups (too drying).
I really like this and will repurchase.

My skin is combo. Normal to oily nose and chin and extremely dry everywhere else. When my dry skin becomes flaky and no foundation goes one smoothly which usually happens when i dont moisturise well this night or the morning before o this will glide on and not emphasise any dry skin. Has got some shimmer particles but i use a quite matte powder over the top so the sparkles are not noticeable. Sheer to medium coverage. Good color match 02 linen im a mac mix of nc15 and nw15, double wear mix of bone and cool bone and revlon colorstay buff. Does hold up good during the day on dry skin but not near as well as double wear and double wear light. Best applied with hands because the consistency is kind of cream or mouse like.

I kind of have a love-hate relationship with this product. I hate the shimmer, but when I have it on, people always say that my skin looks beautiful. Even when I fotograph it, it just gives a suptle glow.

Having extremely dry skin, I always use a primer under this foundation and I think it helps a lot with my dry skin and making the foundation last longer.
Though I still have some dry patches I find that a fine mist of setting spray just tones it down and I really like the end result.
I did have my doubts when I first tried the product on my hand and saw that it was slightly sparkly, but on my face it gave a very dewy look which is great.
The reason I gave 4 as an overall rating was that the coverage is very light and may be a problem sometimes when I want more coverage for example at a party where there is flash photography, but works really well for a day of exploring the city or a picnic.

I really like this for my dry and dehydrated skin. I really can't see a speck of glimmer in there, but my skin is so dry it would be pretty hard to tell. I'm NC5 or 10 (MAC doesn't had a shade light enough for me!) or 150 Buff in Colourstay and I got matched with 02 Linen, which is a neutral shade but I feel is a touch to chalky on me, but in terms of moisture, it is spot on amazing!
Edit - lasting power is terrible and this stuff is really expensive! Have changed my answer to no.

I bought this because i simply needed a new foundation for Prom. I specificly asked the mua for a foundation that photographs well. She tried this on me and I loved it. It was beautiful on my skin and it didn't feel like I was wearing anything. I bought it and on my way home I noticed something on my hand, Sparkles! I took a look in the mirror and I looked like freaking Edward Cullen. It was horrible. I washed it of as soon as i got home and then I forgot about it for a while, Until about a week ago when I found It In my drawer. I thought that maybe It would look good at night, when there was no sun, so I wore it on a night out. Later, when I saw photos from the Night I noticed That I looked VERY shiny, and i don't get shiny... Ever.
I ended up giving This away in a swap.
Pros: It didn't break me out, It felt nice on the skin
Cons: I looked like Edward Cullen!

Most people have said they can see glitter in this, I could see the glitter slightly but once applied to my face its not noticeable. It just gives the foundation a nice dewy glowing look which I love!
I have dry skin and have searched for a foundation that looks good on my skin for a while and i do like this however it can sometimes look a little patchy in places. Gonna try applying this is different ways to stop the patchiness.
I do really like this foundation, one of the best I've used.

A Clinique product I really regret purchasing, and I love Clinique. I went to the salescounter because I needed my shade matched (the 06 Neutral does blend in well to my NC20ish skin), and I'm sorry I didn't do my research and allowed the rep to talk me into this. I didn't realize there's SHIMMER! I primarily wear make-up for work, and felt self-conscious with practically a wash of glitter on my face.
PROS:
-Does provide moisture without feeling heavy or greasy (and I'm not particulary dry)
-Lasted well (with a primer)
-Didn't cause any breakouts on my acne-prone skin
CONS:
-Thick formula a little hard to blend with a brush, easier with fingers (I prefer to use a brush)
-Shimmer!
Absolutely will not repurchase this foundation.

This is one of those old, classic products everyone knows about, so I won't go into details. I tried it only recently just because it turned up in every Google search of 'best foundations for dry skin'. The thing is, I love a good foundation and wear it daily, but as I suffer from pretty dry skin (truly dry skin, not dehydrated or dried out by anti-acne treatments), most foundations tend to feel tight and taut on my skin in winter, regardless of moisturizing and prepping. My skin simply needs continuous moisture to feel comfortable and look nice, so I bought this. The coverage is light and not very buildable, akin to a tinted moisturizer. It will not layer well, you'll just end up piling on the infamous sparkles. Now I don't need a lot of coverage, so that's fine, but - as the previous reviewer asked - why the sparkles?! I can't imagine anyone would want to look like they spilled a powder highlighter all over their face. However, it does keep my skin very hydrated and soft - it's probably the most moisturizing foundation I've ever tried. In short, it's a decent product with two major downfalls - the sparkles and the play-doh smell. I think there are many better options out there for dry skin: Chanel's Vitalumiere (a much more sophisticated finish, no sparkles), Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (not much less coverage), her Creme Smooth and a few others. But, if you, like me, ended up impulsively buying this and want to use it up, try mixing it with other foundations - this will reduce the amount of sparkle and even help a bit with the smell, while still providing the necessary moisture. I've tried this with Shiseido Perfect Refining and Bourjois Flower Perfection (both lovely, but too matte and unsuitable for my skin) and it turned out pretty well. This tip was the whole point of my review, but I sort of got carried away. Hope this helps!

Very nice product! I'm not exactly sure what to call this because I definitely wouldn't call it a foundation, but the coverage is too good to be a tinted moisturizer.. it's somewhere in between. But anyway, I don't mind it because it has the perfect amount of coverage. I just need something to cover redness and even out and this does the job. It's also a nice price!
Now for the sparkles---- WHY?? I don't understand companies who think people want to have sparkles on their face!!! When I first brought this home I was freaking out because I thought this would just be exactly like Revlon Photoready.. which is a nice foundation, but the sparkles are pretty noticeable. But once I actually put this on and looked at myself from a distance, it actually looked pretty nice. You only see the sparkles when your like intensely staring at my skin from 1 inch away in bright lighting, and since people don't really do that very often I dont think I have anything to worry about. So, overall, the sparkles aren't a big deal, but I still wish they just werent there at all. Oh.. and no you will not look like edward cullen.. dont worry

I actually like the finish it gives despite the sparkles. To me, it is bearable and it looks nice on pics when im going out. However, the dewy finish can look a bit oily when the foundation is on for a couple of hours. But the colour match is almost perfect and i do like it a lot. The tube packing is a lot better than the ones like superbalanced etc but i still very much prefer a bump.

i love how the product matched my skin well it was the first department store that matched me pretty good. it blended well and moisturized my dry skin good. the thing i hated about this product is that it was very glittery, you'll look like edward cullen in the sunlight lol the coverage was sheer so you'll definitely need a concealer to go with this.

The formula of the actual product is not too bad.It blends pretty nicely, has a nice light airy feel too it and there are lots of color choices. The downside for me is the obvious glitter/sparkle in it (the other reviewers who mentioned this are in fact correct). I am all for a natural glow, but chunky glitter is not a "glow"...it's just chunky glitter. Trust me ladies, swatch this on your wrist and then walk out into the sunlight, you will see it and if that doesn't bother you then I say the makeup is a pretty good choice. If you do NOT like sparkle however steer clear of this one :(

I like this. It feels quite thick when squeezed out of the tube but it goes on really sheer and light. Great for someone like myself who doesn't want to look too 'made-up' but nevertheless wants to look polished. The best light foundation I've got for my increasingly dry skin.

This is GREAT for dry skin, especially in the winter. I think glowy foundation is gorgeous when it's cold outside. It's perfect for people who want something a little heavier than a tinted moisturizer, but with the nice moisturized look of a tinted moisturizer. It's not my holy grail foundation, but I do wear it sometimes, mostly in the colder months. I know they discontinued dewy smooth, but if you like this foundation, but want a heavier coverage, try mac's studio sculpt. They have nc and nw shades for everyone in this foundation! And Mac ss looks like this but with a medium/full coverage, and NO GLITTER/SHIMMER. This Clinique sm has shimmer, which is pretty, I like it. But ss by mac doesn't have the shimmer/glitter. But it is a dewy looking foundation. That's why I compare it to Clinique's.
This makes skin feel super soft when it's washed off, and keeps dry skin moisturized in the winter. It's a gel so it's hard to blend, but with practice, it can be done. I can't wear this anymore though, because they discontinued my color. I don't know if dark complected people just didn't buy at Clinique, or if they decided to only sell to fair and medium women, except for a few things that come in darker shades. I am tan, and as soon as I purchased golden last summer, they discontinued it. I used it this winter. They brought amber back, which is too dark for me, but I bought it to mix with a lighter color. Sand was too ashy on me, and the shade after sand they brought back for like a week, so I bought it to mix with amber. I don't like the fuss of mixing colors with foundations, so I won't repurchase. I just said yes, because I will if they bring back the tan shades - for more than a week or a two.
