I was really looking forward to this foundation. I purchased the colour 'new york light' as it is a truly yellow based pale-ish colour.
I put it on and it was incredibly sheer - i layered it and it was still sheer. It doesn't cover redness, blemishes or anything. It is like a tinted moisturiser.
After i put it on, my skin felt all tingly - not good tingly, but 'there are bugs crawling on my skin' type of tingly. That passed, i'm not sure what the go was.
While this didn't cover any blemishes, it still did something for me... i looked... a bit better. I'm not sure how that works, but it was only OKAY. Def not for someone who is looking for coverage.
Staying power with primer was okay, but it's so sheer I wonder what the point is, anyway.
Do I regret buying it? No. But I wouldn't repurchase it, either.
The brush thing is something pretty much all of us make-up lovers hate. Just do a pump, for god's sake. A PUMP. How hard is that for make-up companies to understand. I'm getting tired of these lame gimmicks. Make the formula better instead.

This foundation is just so-so. I don't like the brush mechanism. I just dot the foundation on my face and blend and stipple with a 188 Mac brush. The coverage is quite sheer like a tinted moisturizer. It gives a satin finish. I agree with a reviewer who said this is a semi matte finish. However the colour match is great. I picked the shade Hollywood and it matches my nc 30 skin pretty nicely. I set it with Mac msf natural as I find this looks the best. I won't repurchase as there are many other foundations that I would like to try. This is also great for sensitive skin as it did not dry me out or aggravate my eczema.

Thi was my first ever purchase from Too Faced, I brought this in the shade Paris which is for light to medium skin. I didn't have any problem with the shade at all.
This and the Bourjous Princeau foundation looks exactly the same in terms of packaging and is also the same size. I like the Bourjous one better only because the brush and the foundation is better.
The foundation in the Too Faced Magic Wand is very watery, has no coverage, it never lasted on my face for more then 2 hours, and to make things worst the brush was extremely harsh for the face. That statement pretty much summed how I felt about the Too Faced Magic Wand.

This foundation is great but the packaging sucks. I hate the brush on the end because it makes the foundation streak however, with enough practice I have fixed that problem. This foundation is kind of expensive it cost $32.50 online for 0.57 fl oz (17 ml). The coverage is very sheer and takes a while to build up. I like the fact that you don't have to use your fingers when applying this foundation however, dried foundation left on the brush could cause bacteria to grow ! GROSS ! I would buy this again if it went on sale !

Soooo bummed this is discontinued. This foundation was amazing. It literally looked like you're painting on another layer of skin. It did not look fake at all nor did it look like you're wearing any foundation (if you have the color match down). It definitely is for warmer skin tones, and i was somewhere right in between miami tan and st barts bronze, but now that my skin has lightened up a little in the winter im a perfect miami tan. Bought another tube online and saving it for special occasions where i really dont want to look like im wearing any foundation.

I was really disappointed with this foundation. First off I hate the push button, I either push too little or too much. I hate the brush, the bristles tended to hurt when I was brushing the foundation into my skin and the brush did not blend well. I always had to go over it with another brush to smooth things out. The color is an ok match, although I agree with another reviewer that it looks a little orange. This was a ok foundation, I did not really notice any impact on my skin while wearing it except that it felt like I was wearing hardly anything on my face.

Love this foundation! I like how it has a lil brush on it, makes it easier to apply it. I go over the rest with my MAC 190 brush to smooth out imperfections. I'm a lil bummed though. I went to sephora and they discontinued it??? I hope not because I do like this alot :) I'm a NC 40 skintone and St.Barth Bronze is a perfect match for me. I like how dewy this is too!!!

I'm actually pretty fond of this little product. I love that it comes with a brush, and the consistency is wonderful. It goes on smoothly and looks really pretty, though it really is for warmer skin tones (I'm a cool, and mine is a little orange on me, but not too much). If you have oily skin, you're definitely going to want to use some kind of finishing powder on top, because when summer comes around my face looks like it's melting off if I don't use any. However, with a simple finishing powder on top (I use stript mineral veil), this stuff stays on ALL DAY, even in the blistering heat. I have problematic skin, with acne, scarring and blotches, so I'm always surprised when I go to the bathroom in the late afternoon and catch a glimpse of my face, and it still looks the way it did when I left the house at 7 AM. Aaaand I don't use a primer. Me likey.
I may or may not repurchase, as the color I use doesn't quite match my skin tone perfectly.

This product is great! The foundation is semi sheer but has buildable coverage. It leaves a dewy finish but I usually go over with their translucent powder or mac studio fix because I have oily skin. I use Paris Light Medium in the winter and now I'm using Hollywood medium. Both work for my skin and blends in beautifully. This is the lightest foundation that I've tried that still have decent coverage. I use a concealer if I need more coverage which is what I do with most other foundations anyway. It's my favorite foundation as of now! It's light on the skin so I get less breakouts and blackheads.

This stuff is so good. The lightest shade is perfect for me - it has no pink in it which is so perfect! So at least for this shade, this is best suited for yellow toned skin vs pink. This is a great feat in my opinion, since most foundation do have pinkish tones. It gives a great luminous finish and semi matte for us oily girls, so we can still look glowy but not greasy!:) the packaging looks cute but I don't care for the brush idea since I like to get all I can since it is a more pricy foundation for 17 ml. However, the pluses outweigh the cons and for my skin I give this an A+! I have never been so impressed with a makeup as this one!! 5 lippies.
EDIT: I actually love the brush idea! I run it over my face and stipple in with my 187! Looks like my skin but a lot better.

When I first apply this, it looks dewy and pretty with a medium coverage. I'm not overly concerned with the potentially bacteria breeding brush on the end because I just use it to dispense the foundation into dots on my face, then blend with my other brush. I use a seperate concealer for more noticeable imperfections and a loose powder to set. My main problems with this are: 1) the lightest color (London) is slightly too dark and too yellow for my PPP NC20 skin 2) the "illuminating" effect just looks greasy on my oily skin 3) it cakes BIG time by mid-day and just looks unnatural and gross. 4) I believe this is making me break out. I didn't think I was, but I guess I may be sensitive to the silicones in this product. Another one bites the dust. Back to Sephora I go.

This foundation was my HG for a while but I decided it wasnt glowy enough for me it's really beautiful for people that want that semi-matte finish, it isn't too dry or too dewy. But on personal preference I like something a little more luminous. I also found that for £20 there was hardly any product and that it doesn't last as long as other high end foundations(BB, Clinique)
I also found the foundation brush attached was too smalll and was probably part of why the foundation is so expensive they should really elimiate the brush in my opinion

I love this foundation! It matches my skin tone exactly. The brush helps the product go on evenly, and it has a luminous finish. It also seems to be quite a bit of product which means it should last quite a while and its worth it's price. Although this is a very good product it only comes in about five shades, which means some people won't be able to find their shade. It was a nice product overall though.

This colour is the perfect colour for me. It helps to disguise post acne hyperpigmentation. WHen I had really bad cystic acne, it really helped cover it up but it's not the most natural of ingredients. It is buildable, semi-matte and looks natural. I find that it didn't give me more acne but it didn't help. I use this on my 'special occassions' because you don't get much for the price you pay - hence why 4 lippies and not 5.
UPDATE: I used this foundation for my wedding and it gave a gorgeous glow and colour. I find this similar to Georgio Armani Luminous Silk and when you break it down for cost per mL, it costs the same. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I've amended by rating to 5 lippies due to it working even better when my skin behaves!!!

First of all, I only gave this product 3 for an overall rating because of the color choices. I found that the medium shade was way too orange and looked horrible in the sunlight. However, the feel of this product was absolutely AMAZING. This doesn't feel like you are wearing mu and it covers nicely w/ a illuminating effect. The brush applicator was useless for me and felt cheaply made. If Mr. Too Faced created tones w/ pink in them, I would most likely repurchase this.

Don't listen to the bad reviews - this product works! Brush or no brush that is your choice, I use the one attached to the product, even though I own MAC brushes - it's really not as bad as people make it out to be, just average.
The foundation is:
- light coverage, buildable
- smooth, moisturizing, not cakey
- it has a slight cooling sensation as you're applying it, very soothing
- limited range of colour but Hollywood Medium is the most popular (it's also what I use)
- not oily, has not broken me out, no problems with wearing it
- it is a satin finish not dewy, not as sparkly as Stila Illuminating Foundation
***********EDIT: Dont use this!! Use MUFE HD Foundation!!! MUCH BETTER!!!!! And for less!!!! With Too Faced you only get half of what you normally get in foundation bottles.

I purchased this product after a friend of mine raved about it. I use Hollywood Medium (the next shade darker looked too orangey) and I love the color. However, I generally prefer a heavier coverage and this product was not up to par. This foundation does have a nice finish to it though- very creamy and dewey.
The price is a bit high (I believe I paid $36-$40) but you do get a decent amount of product for the price.
The packaging and concept is adorable, but don't bother to use the brush at the end of the "wand". It leaves streaks and, as mentioned by another reviewer, does not dry so the bacteria possibilities are ENDLESS. I just use my fingers or a sponge to rub it in.
Overall, I would not purchase this product again, but I would recommed it to someone looking for minimal coverage.

I can say that I am absolutely amazed by the positive reviews on here. This is probably the worst foundation that I have ever used. I have a pretty basic skintone, but this is very orange on me. It look alright under artificial light, but in the sun, it looks cakey. I cannot stand the applicator brush. It never dries, so I guarantee there are small amounts of bacteria in the bristles after you put the cap on and let it sit for a couple hours. This is really not a sanitary way to use makeup. The concept is cute, but gross. I really like other Too Faced products, but definitely not this one.

I can't stop singing this product's praises! I'm on my fourth tube and I keep on buying it for several reasons: first, the packaging is extremely cute. Second, it's easy to put on (don't bother with the brush, I just use my fingers). Third, it gives your skin a nice glow. Fourth, the shade matches nicely (unlike my former product, MAC StudioFix, which made my skin look orange, and I don't know about you, but I don't know a lot of people with naturally orange skin?). Fifth, the staying power of this thing is great (I use it in the morning and don't need to retouch the entire day). Sixth, it gives you great coverage without feeling too heavy (evens out the red areas on my face). I use a Hollywood Medium in the fall/winter and a Miami Tan in the spring/summer. I highly doubt that I'll be replacing this baby anytime soon!

Great foundation!.. I've used more then 4 brands of foundation and found this foundation the best. I personally like this foundation because it doesn't give me breakouts, my skin doesn't look oily and it lasts pretty long.. I don't have to keep applying it. The great part about this foundation it already comes with a built-in brush! how cool is that but if you press too hard the brush can come out but no worries you can put it back in =) I wish there would be more color choices for lighter brown shade skins.. I ended up getting a color little darker because the color before it is too light so they should add more colors!! Overall it a great product I love the packing.. light weight very easy to use =)
