Love this product. I have been using it for years! It goes on a bit thick and greasy but absorbs quickly and wonderfully. Great for dry hands and I found it lasts through a hand washing.

This is a review of Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair Hand Cream in the blue and white tube. The yellow tube pictured above is Daily Skin Defense. I've been using the intensive for about ten years now. It does go on extremely thick, but sinks in quickly and doesn't leave your hands too greasy. I'm an optician, and after applying I was able to put small screws into eyeglasses without any difficulty, as long as I waited a couple of minutes. It stays on extremely well, and you can definitely tell it's still there after at least one hand washing. I gave a tube to a friend of mine whose hands were so dry they were cracking and splitting. She had tried everything and was absolutely amazed at how well this worked. She's bought several tubes since then. You can usually find it on sale for $1.99 and sometimes as low as $1.79. One of my other friends always comments on how young my hands look compared to hers. I'm sure I have this lotion to thank for that.

Against all odds, Avon Moisture Therapy claimed victory over my dry hands (from winter and gardening). It took a couple weeks and half the tube, but my hands are now smooth and soft.

It is quite thick so probably best not to apply it while, say, using a computer - but the sticky feeling doesn't last long. You're good to go in 5 minutes.

I also find this stuff lasts through a few hand washes. After I wash and dry my hands, I rub them together and I can feel that some lotion is still there. Bonus!

This is truly Avon's best hand cream. I am an Avon Representative, and I've tried all of their hand creams. I like most of Avon's hand creams, but I LOVE this one. After my first use, my hands were soft and I could see a noticeable difference in the texture of my hands. I was in Nursing and the frequent washing ravaged my hands, making them look old and dry. This hand cream has restored moisture and a youthful plumpness and luster to my hands.

What a bargain! This is not a lotion for the faint of heart :) If you are having a dry skin problem this is the best lotion I have ever found though. It is heavy, but it does the job. My hands were so dry this winter my cuticles would not stop cracking. WOW what a terrific lotion for such a cheap price!

HG!! The entire line is great, but I use the intensive, extra dry skin version with the blue and white packaging (not the yellow one pictured). I live in Reno, Nevada where it's freezing in the winter, no humidity, 5000 feet elevation and high winds. My hands will crack and bleed if left untended to. This hand cream feels rich and luxurious and rubs in quickly. Minimal grease. Better than Curel, better than Neutrogena, and for less than half the price. The hand cream is amazing, and the body lotion and moisturizing cream are great too. I got a bundle of moisture therapy intensive which had two creams, a lotion, a large tube of hand cream, and lip treatment for $9.99!!! I love this product.

Avon makes Moisture Therapy Hand Cream in an "everyday dry skin" formula and an "ultra skin renewal" formula which is thicker and more suitable for nighttime use. This is a review for the MT Vitamin Treatment Hand Cream for everyday dry skin and, I must admit, this has been sitting in my makeup and sundries closet for months as I had a customer (I'm an Avon rep) order the ultra skin formula and Avon sent me the wrong type. I threw this in my closet, figuring I'd sell it, and forgot about it. I needed a new tube of hand cream for work as my mark Talk to the Hand cream, my go-to hand cream, was used up. This stuff is wonderful. When you put it on your hands they almost sigh in relief at the flood of moisture going into the skin. You can feel it healing as it quickly soaks into the skin, leaving it soft, supple and very lightly scented. My hands aren't greasy after applying so it's perfect for work as I am on a keyboard and switchboard--don't want greasy keys. I highly recommend this product as a good everyday hand cream, especially in cold climates. The price is right, too, for 4.2 oz. at $5 and Avon has a special B1G1 free special going on right now, too. I'll be keeping a tube of this around for sure!

Cheap, tried and true. This is like a glove on your hands and it takes some rubbing, about 2 minutes for this to sink in but it still feels a bit greasier than some other hand creams. I wash my hands 10+ times a day so this is a godsend for me. One of my HG hand creams that I prefer to use only at night before bedtime or under gloves in winter because of the greasy feeling it leaves. Also good for feet.

Awesome for eczema. I use it all over dry eczema patches with my steroid ointment. I know it says alcohol in it but don't let that shy you away from it. Cause it works well!

Let me start by saying that I love Avon! I was raised on it and even sold it for a while back in the day. They were one of the first major cosmetic companies to stop testing on animals, a fact that has deeply impressed me.
I also remember Rich Moisture from a long time ago, and it's always been a great product. I wash my hands a lot, and this helps keep them really moisturized. Even compared with newer products that have the benefits of more recent research behind them, this is an excellent hand cream.
The only issues I have with this is the fragrance--which is much stronger than I remembered--and the fact that it contains orange roughy oil. I was reading the ingredient label and saw that and thought, Huh??? I'm not a vegetarian, although sometimes I wish I could be. But what is fish oil doing in my hand cream?
So now I'm in a quandary. I've bought this many times over the years, but with this new info, I'm not sure I would buy it again. Maybe I'll check out the other Avon lotions...

My can't-live-without hand cream in winter. It is very greasy indeed but I need this to retain the moisture in my skin. Other hand creams just seem to...evaporate as soon as I apply them. It has a very subtle scent so I sometimes mix it with others (eg Victoria Secret lotions) according to mood :). It reminds me of the Cetaphil hand cream that I used to own except this is way cheaper. The packaging is simple yet practical and the size (75g) is great for keeping in the handbag. I can't wait to order some more...

I am using the blue and white tube. The smell is light and delightful. Love the smell! The consistency looks like Vaseline but it is easier to rub in. I have really dry skin and I like it. It's a little sticky but nothing like Vaseline. The packaging is plain and boring but I got a purse size version once with a cute lady bug on it =) Surprisingly I need to use more than expected to get even coverage. Works great on my rough elbows and heels too.

Pros: Very moisturizing. No scent or colour. Very cheap. Best to use after immediate washing or else too thick.
Cons: Very thick like Chapstick for your hands. Doesn't get absorbed well. Difficult to spread and will collect in cuticles or crevices. Cannot use at work as it leaves greasy marks on paper.

Deliberately left my large tube in our restroom at work. Like Moisture Therapy ACE as it sinks into skin better.

Good cheap hand cream.

I'm using the blue and white tube. The cream has so much glycerin that it looks more like a gel than cream. I wish it wasn't as thick since here in California, it doesn't get that dry but I can see how others love this cream. You don't realize how moisturizing it is until you wash your hands and feel the layer of glycerin coating your hands.

On the downside, the cream is too thick for anything but my hands which means I have to keep other lotions around for body and feet.

I've used this hand cream - the original formulation in the blue and white packaging - for years and years. Hands take a real beating in our cold Canadian winters and, as I teach food and nutrition, I wash my hands about a zillion times a day. Moisture Therapy Hand Cream is cheap and very effective at keeping my hands from turning to sandpaper and it doesn't feel greasy. I love the little "stocking stuffer" tubes they come out with around Xmas (and at other times of the year) as they are perfect for my purse, desk drawer, school bag, etc. I have quite a few more expensive hand creams but at the rate I go through the stuff, this Avon hand cream is just perfect.

This is my HG hand cream. I've tried other products, including other Avon hand creams, and always come back to Moisture Therapy. There's no annoying fragrance, it doesn't leave my hands greasy & holds up to frequent washing. My husband's hands become terribly dry & his fingers crack with all his outside work. He uses Moisture Therapy to heal and help prevent more cracking. If a guy will use this cream you can be sure there's no scent and it absorbs well into the skin. Avon often runs sales so I stock up then and it's really inexpensive.

I have extremely dry skin and wash my hands I dont even know how many times a day. This hand cream is one of the moist moisturizing I have used without being greasy.

A little goes a long way with this. And at first, it feels thick and almost sticky and you think 'yuck, this is horrible' but as you massage it in, it absorbs into a smooth satin finish with absolutley no greasiness. And no, your not rubbing forever - a few seconds.

Also, its is a protectant of sorts, because even after I wash my hands they still feel soft, almost as if the lotion created a protective barrier.

I'll also say my cuticles look great. No tearing or peeling since I've been using this. The smell is mild as well, not overpowering.

I would definitley buy this again.

This is a great hand cream. Definitely highly moisturizing. Only downside I experienced was the scent - smelled like Grandma's old hand cream. I'm highly sensitive to fragrances on my hands and if I don't like the scent I won't use the product. Looking forward to demoing this product with my customers though - they should enjoy the great moisturizing benefits.

Get ready for serious hand care! This stuff is very thick and moisturing! I like to put this on at night. It's too much for daytime unless you are at home watching tv.

I've been using this for nearly 20 years, not continuously though. I find its great when my skin has been neglected for so long resulting in extremely dry & rugged condition. It probably takes a few days of application when I returned to normal & I put it aside.
10 years ago, I bought 20 of this (4 oz.) when it was on sale really cheap & I still have about 10 left. I also use it on the face, no breakout problems.
I also squeezed some of this cream in an empty jar, put equal amount of distilled water to make it into a lotion, then I will add whatever oil I have on hand (jojoba, peach kearnal, avocado, olive). This make a great night time moisturizer until the dryness improves (using high concentration of acid + the harsh Canadian winter is truly murderous).
Probably one of the best skin care product from Avon.
