NARS is truly one of the best lip glosses out there. It stays on for a long time and it does not smudge or get sticky. It also keeps your lips moist and does not dry out your lips like other lip glosses may. It does not have a scent or "taste" which I like since you are not tempted to like your lips. Defiantly a must have!

Product - NARS calls this "spiced berry" - it looks like a deep, bold byzantium/berry in the tube but on my lips it sheers out just enough to give rich color without being overly dramatic either (read: works for both professional daytime looks and more sumptuous evening looks). The slight golden shimmer also livens it up. Surprisingly well pigmented. Texture is nice - it's smooth and not too tacky/sticky. It has a faint plasticky scent and taste, similar but not as strong as NARS Lip Lacquers have; the scent fades quickly.
Comparisons - Shade reminds me of LM Lip Stain in Sugar Violet but with a glossy finish and texture.
Packaging - Square cross-section with rounded edges, translucent satin finish body, and a black screw-top which houses a doe-foot wand applicator. Retails for $24, which is a bit steep to me for any lipgloss; luckily I got this as a GWP.
Overall - Rich yet wearable color that really works well for me (AAB/NC25).

I love this beautiful berry lip gloss. I am fair skinned and blue eyed, and this looks lovely with my complexion. It lasts very well for a gloss, and even though it's a little shimmery, it doesn't have any grittiness to it. It's beautifully pigmented for a gloss, and doesn't have any weird plasticy or sweet smell to it. Perfect, even for $24!

This is the second NARS gloss I've purchased and unlike the Orgasm gloss which was very thick, this has a thinner consistency which goes on much more smoothly. I love berry colored glosses and lipsticks and the color of this gloss is a beautiful blue toned, deep berry hue.
Although I adore the color, I'm disappointed because it bleeds into the fine lines around my lips. I have tons of lipgloss from drugstore to MAC and this is the only one I have that feathers. I even bought a product from Too Faced that's supposed to prevent feathering and while it helped, it didn't stop it. Sadly, I won't be repurchasing.

A reddish berry color that has a reputation as a flattering color for many complexions. Darker on the lips than it looks in the tube. I'm fair-skinned with dark brown hair & eyes & I just love this color on me. This is my first NARS lip gloss, and I find it super glossy, highly pigmented, & thicker on application than the Aveda lip gloss I usually wear. Packaged in a rectangular tube with sponge wand, & rather neutral taste & fragrance, which is the way I like my lippies. Sells for $24. at Sephora.
I don't see a lipstick in the same color in the NARS line currently. If anyone has recommendations for a lipstick that is similar to this color, please moo-mail me!

Love it!
The color is amazing. It is not sticky or toooo shiny. It is almost perfect for a gloss. It last a long time and stays put during coffee + breakfast. Oh, and you do not need a lip liner either.
Love it!!!!

I. Love. This. Gloss. I wasn't going to get it because it seemed extremely dark to me, but boy am I glad that I did. I can't even begin to describe how interesting this color is. It is a dark plum/raisin with GOLD shimmer in it that makes it POP. It is EXTREMELY pigmented, not too hugely shiny, but shiny nonetheless and in no way sticky. It goes on very dark but when it fades you still retain color and that gold sparkle. I have to say that this is the longest lasting NARS lipgloss I have ever seen. It stays on my lips like NO OTHER even through eating and drinking. It had be a bit thick going on (much thicker than my NARS Stella, but NO WAY as thick as Striptease) but that adds to its staying power. I'm in love with this for neutral eyes and the pin-up look! Goes great over pink lipsticks and makes red ones look much more interesting!

A perfect plummy-red that makes my lips look fuller and has great shine. At first I thought this would be too dark to carry off, but it seems to work. I just pair it with muted eyes and bronzer. The color depth is wonderful. I just wish it was not too pricey, but it is well worth it. The tube can withstand being tumbled around in my purse which is a plus. I love Nars lipglosses, just wish they tasted better.

Tried it several times at Sephora and LOVED it. Was beautiful, I kept coming back but did not want to spend the money.
Finally succumbed and bought it on ebay. It is pretty but I don't get the same OMG feeling I did at Sephora. I am not sure if ebay sometimes sells subpar products or if I just remember something that was not there. May be I will get the one from Sephora and compare one day.
Anyway, it would definitely be a five lippie if it looked the way it did when I sampled it on a consistent basis.

I nabbed this on impulse at Sephora. I had swatched several shades of Nars gloss and chose this as the most neutral looking of the options I had chosen. It shows up on me as a nice MLBB, brownish berry with a bit of shimmer - very lovely. Lots of neutral shades disappear into my lips, like most of Bobbi Brown's neutral colors. I like the intensity of the pigment, the shiny factor, and that it moisturizes pretty well. It's not too sticky and the color lasts decently for a gloss. Although I think this is overpriced, it is the perfect shade for me and I would repurchase. For reference, I'm MMM/GGG with rather pigmented lips.

This is a gorgeous deep berry colour with a little bit of shimmer. Its the perfect fall gloss - great on its own because it has a lot of colour in it and would be perfect over a wine or berry lipstick. I took one lippie off because I don't like how the gloss gets all goopy in around the tube opening and cap.

This is my go-to berry lip gloss for fall. It's a bit redder/more plummy than Rose Birman and has a touch of shimmer. I love pairing it with Outlaw blush and pale gold eye shadow. Since it's not too bright or dark I think it would suit all skintones - it's not over the top on my NC20 skin, but it's pigmented enough to work on medium and dark skin too. One of Nars's most flattering glosses in my opinion.

Nars is expensive, but this color is just beautiful. I do not regret the money spent on it as it is impossible to find tis beautiful color, quality, and uniqueness in other less expensive brand.

I bought this on the recommendation (sight-unseen) from a pal who works at Sephora. I was looking for "the" lip color I'm always lemming for in the fall, when I want to stray from my usual pinks and crave a wine/berry/plum to fit the season. This fit the bill, but it's a little too intense for me, as I prefer colors that are more sheer. I would also say that it looks better in the tube than it does on the lips. In the tube it's this complicated mix of raisin-wine-rose-gold shimmer, but when I put it on, it just kinda looks like a dark wine. I'm giving it 4 lippies, though, cause it's a nice product and pretty color, just not for me.

A very adaptable gloss in that it seems to flatter the pale and the medium (I'm MAC NC30-42, depending). It's not as sticky as, say, Revolt or Scandal, which, again, depending, could be a negative. I happen to like the tenacity of the more sticky Nars glosses, so one lippie off for texture.

Totally agree with Kato Potato, this looks wowza with pale skin. Also lovely for blue eyed women. I love to wear this with MAC Rosewood liner...it just looks so perfectly polished. Tres pricey but I'll wear to death. HG!

This is one of my 6-8 favorite glosses. I probably like NARS' gloss formula best of all of all those I've tried--it melds good color payoff with smooth formula and staying power. Gothika is a browned berry that can look subtle with a quick swipe, or more intense with layering. It lasts a very long time for a gloss. The fragrance is unusual but not bothersome to me. Like one of the reviewers said below, it's great with Mounia blush. It's especially nice for fall and winter.

Wow, a beautiful rose with natural brown undertones and a hint of sparkle. Flatters most skin tones. I like how incredibly moisturizing the gloss is, even when it wears off! (Unlike MAC lipglasses which leave lips feeling like plastic). Wish it had SPF, but I really love the color and intend to get more shades.

Paired with my ultra-pale skin, Gothika is a godsend. It's a deep rosy, shimmery red on me, and it's perfect for winter. Definitely worth the price tag!
