My sister and I have been using this as our toner for years, and it's been quite effective for the both of us who use different cleansers.

It's pricing could be a little cheaper, but I'd say it's fair enough considering how much we use. I think the key ingredient that makes me come back to this product time and again is the aloe and algae extract, which are products that really help with your skin; especially if your acne-prone.

And when I've finished wiping myself with a cotton ball, I can see how much dirt has been accumulated in my skin. (yuck!) It's definitely doing it's job, so I'll likely keep to it in my daily face regime.

i've been using this toner for months and months now, and have gone through at least two or three bottles. i've never really sampled a different toner, so that's truthfully why i stick with this one. it does make my skin feel tighter, smoother, cleaner and while i don't actually notice if it treats my skin (since i never stop using it) it does work well to remove excess oils and makeup off of my face. it may have helped with blackheads, actually, now that i think about it.

I wish I could have given this toner 5/5. I had read a whole bunch of great reviews but I used it for 5 days and did exactly what was directed on the bottle and all of the sudden, on the 6th day, my skin just exploded. Perhaps I'm just allergic to one of the ingredients, I really have no idea but I broke out like I've never done before all along my chin area. I can tell you for sure that it was the toner since it was the only new product I tried that week but I am baffled as to what would have caused such a reaction. Anyway, it still may work for you but for whatever reason, this stuff hates my skin. As everyone is different, I suppose you have to try it to see if it's compatible with your skintype but I absolutely will never buy this again. (Now what to do with the rest of the brand new bottle I just bought! xD)

A multi-tasking product , very gentle on the skin ..I have used it for years for a LIST of things :

1-I keep it in the fridge , and use when I am out in the hot , humid days in the summer to wipe my face from dirt & sweat as I usually don't wear foundations .
2- I have combo skin so I don't usually use it as a toner on my face but it's perfect for the neck , and oily areas on the face sometimes .
3- This may seem weird ; I add 70% alcohol to it and shake it well and keep it as on -the -spot make up brush cleanser and it works GREAT to sanitise and clean them ...and it's dirt cheap and easier to get compared to any other brush cleanser you buy or DIY at home .
4- I keep it im my handbag and use it as an emergency hand cleaner sometimes if I can't wash them for some reason .
Other than that you can use it as toner of course ..It may have a strong smell , but it's not bad it's only Eucalyptus , Menthol , Castor oil and Comphor which re all natural and great for the skin .

I do not use toner on a regular basis on my face, but I do like to have some around. I use it more often on my neck, and strange as it may sound, my ears. I have super oily ears! (To go with my oily scalp and oily eyelids!) I bought this one because it was cheap and I had a coupon to make it even cheaper, and I am glad I tried it.

In my experience, most toners I have tried are too harsh and sting when I use them. This is quite gentle. I don't get any stinging at all with it. It has a very pleasant smell.

It's just a nice toner to have around. I recommend trying it if you are looking for a more gentle toner that is inexpensive.

A staple for me especially during the summer, when my skin has oilier areas and I'm wearing SS that sometimes doesn't seem to completely come off with cleansing.

Caveat: this is so NOT right for truly sensitive skin; it has a ton of alcohol in it. It's a good BHA toner for skin that needs that kind of treatment. And certainly much better for anyone than the regular version, which is mentholated for better irritation. :p

I do like the product and think it does a good job of keeping mild blackheads at bay and removing any post-cleanser residue.

This really does remove all the dirt and makeup left behind by my expensive night time cleanser that I don't want to waste!. Its refreshing and doesn't aggravate my oily sensitive skin and has helped to clear my skin of the spotty flare ups I have been getting. It's so cheap aswell as soon as I have finished my cleanser I will just be using this I can get 10 bottles for the price of my decleor cleanser!.

I am in love with this product !!! Was using the clean and clear orange cleanser which was doing a pretty good job but still had blackheads on my nose and chin . Bought this when I picked up a new bottle of cleanser and in 3 days my skin is better then it's been in years ! Pores are much smaller and blackheads are diminished quite a bit in a short time ! My skin just feels cleaner , more even and smooth ! Another awesome clean and clear product !

Works pretty well for me. Feels harsh but does a great thorough cleaning job at the end of the day. Is bringing little flat comedones to the surface without becoming infected, and is definitely, though slowly, doing the job on my nose pores. Have to moisturize afterward, for sure, or else I get shiny and sticky.

I wish the bottle wouldn't pour out so quickly. Why don't they make these like the nail polish remover pump bottles you see at the salon? Anyhow, I think I'll stick with it. I do definitely prefer the Aveda Exfoliant for a natural salicylic acid toner-type-thing, but the price difference is significant.

For me this was a skin miracle! I've been using it for a few months and my moderate acne has almost entirely disappeared. I only get a pimple or two on very rare occasions. I have oily skin and the alcohol in here might be harsh for people with normal or dry skin, but for me it was perfect. It got my skin clear and has been keeping it clear.

Lately I've had so much tiny whiteheads on my chin that whenever the day was ending my face got all oily and you could see all those tiny whiteheads even if I had makeup on. So then I looked all over for something to remove (such as: biore clearstrips) but I ran out. I saw that I still had some Clean and Clear and after using that (again) ... the tiny whiteheads were dried out and now they're gone. I am amazed that that worked really good better than the Boire clearstrips! I would purchase more of Clean and Clear's any day now! However, it sorta makes my face oily/smooth. I guess that's better than having tiny whiteheads on your chin!

This astringent was irritating and broke my skin out more (including cystic acne), made it oilier, and caused flakes. Plus, it has frangrance, which is unecessary and strange smelling. I will never use or purchase this again.

Ingredients:
Salicylic Acid (0.5 %), Alcohol (24.5%), Algae Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Benzophenone-4, Denatonium Benozoate, Dimethicone Propyl Pg-Betaine, Fragrance, Glycerin, Isoceteth-20, Peg-32, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Water, Blue 1

I have had this product for a long time. I used it a couple of times all over my face but I felt it made me break out even more. Therefore it was just lying in my cabinet. After couple of months, I decided to use this again when I suddenly broke out all over my face. I figured since its deep cleansing astringent, it will remove all the oil and dirt out of the infected areas. At night, I just use a Q-tip and dip it in the bottle and apply it on the active acne spots instead of all of my face , as I feel it can be harsh. The next day, I find it had reduced my spots a lot and had even reduced the redness. Therefore ever since then I have always used this to help cleanse out acne bumps on my skin.

I have used this product FOREVER now. I LOVE the tingling feeling it leaves! Ever since I started running, I feel like my cleansers don't clean my skin as well. With this, my face is clean. I use it twice a day everyday. It tightens my pores, and makes my skin feel refreshed. I don't know what I would do without it! It only has a little acne medication, but I do think this helps KEEP skin clear and prevent break outs. As for treating it, not so much. It is not expensive and is just PERFECT for me! I wouldn't change it for the world. My skin looks better with it! :):):):) A "must" in my daily skin care routine!

Ive been using this for over 2 weeks and so far i'm quite liking it. I like how it doesn't sting and instead leaves a nice tingling refreshing feeling. In fact after this dries off it leaves my face quite smooth unlike other toners which can dry my face out harshly. Really cheap and seems to doing a great job.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, and i was definitely skeptical. I've been using proactiv solution for two years now, and it was getting way too costly for the damage it did to my skin (proactiv is a great acne product, but its too strong and wrecks your skin!) I bought the clean and clear deep cleanser cream, and the astringent, and my face has never glowed this much before! I don't have oil problems, or acne! i still get the odd zit.... but doesn't everybody? very gentle, and EFFECTIVE!

This actually made the appearance of pores smaller, I used this after washing my face and it made a difference almost immediately. This does not irritate, dry out, or breakout my skin. I have had no problems with this so far, and it helps with oil too.

I LOVE this product :)
I use this every single morning. First, I cleanse my face with with oatmeal (something I learned in a tutorial from bubzbeauty), then follow up by soaking a cotton pad with astringent and swiping it over my t-zone as well as my complete hairline. Then I apply aloe vera gel all over, and apply sunscreen and/or moisturizer. I used to have clogged pores all over my nose :( I had used pore strips in the past, but they would only work temporarily >:| I would use them at night, and in about 15 hours the effects would reverse. Now after using this astringent, my nose is smooth and clear :)
