I love Bobbi's powder shadows! They are highly pigmented, blend well and don't crease on my oily lids even when I don't wear primer. I generally wear either Bobbi or Mac for eyeshadows and love the color selections (but if I want to go a bit "wilder" I will choose Mac). Definitely recommend!

ALL PROS: Goes on smooth. Pretty blendable. Lasts a good amount of time without "moving." (Mattes are without shimmer, which is a "pro" to me.) Good amount of pigment. Lasts forever in the pan.
APPLICATION TIPS: Always try on Bobbi's colors as they can look different on than in the case.

I have large prominent eyes and am not really an eyeshadow wearer - dark colours make my eyes look to heavy, browns make my darkish olive complexion look dull and pastel sparkles just aren't my style. I asked for a colour recommendation that would suit me at the Bobbi Brown counter and they suggested a cream colour (Bone) for the whole eye and a sort of dusky pink-peachy-brown colour called Mocha for the crease and lower lid. I was a bit skeptical as the colour looked more like a blusher, but then I remembered that I often swept a bit of blush across my lids for a rosier look so decided to give it a try. I loved this look! It's really natural, but in a way that suits darkish or 'Indian' skin tones without giving the dullness that beiges and browns do. I will wear 'Mocha' forever!

Thanks to eBay, I am well on my way to owning every one of Bobbi's matte shadows. They are so beautiful and smooth. Until now, I have never found an eye shadow that goes on so easily and blends so well. I will write an individual review for each color. That will be so much fun because I love them all!

I love matte, neutral eyeshadows so Bobbi Brown’s range is heaven for me. I bought my palette onboard a flight (which is cheaper than RRP) so considering the quality and how long it lasts, I think this is great value. I find the shadows finely milled and they apply true to the colour you see on the palette. They are long lasting and any fading is minimal so will re-purchase.

I have this in a color called Cement. A nice, not exciting, matte neutral which is exremely easy to use and looks very natural. Works well with a darker crease color, a lighter brow color or layered by itself. I have also used it to cover messy applications of other shadows when I didn't have time or inclination to start over. I find I use this a lot just because it is so fast, easy and reliable. Got it in a discount cosmetic store for - actually I don't remember - $17 or less. It is much more in a dept. store.

BB eyeshadows are the nicest quality. I love their philosophy on enhancing your own natural beauty. I currently own Cement, Expresso for eye lining using a damp brush, Blonde, Lilac from shimmer wash, and Heather. They never crease on me, and they make my asian eyes have more depth and dimensions. On days/nights that I need extra staying power, I use Guerlain eye base underneath them, and they work beautifully. :) I will continue to collect them!

Bought two of these shadows at once - same reason as everyone else. Sapphire and Black Plum. Nice colours that I use primarily for lining and crease definition. The problem is that they are not worth the exorbitant price. There is nothing special about them - they are no better than MAC and twice the price. Plus they have a screw top lid which I find fiddly.

I was so sure that Bobbi Brown would be the answer to good quality, money worth eye shadows that I bought 5 of them in one purchase. What a deceit. The only good thing that I can say is that one pin contains 4 gr eye shadow which is fainomenon.normaly eyeshadows are 1,5-2gr.The matte eyeshadows were horrible they crease so much(and i dont have oily eyelids)that at the end of day all eye shadows had become eyeliner lol :)))) The colour pay off isn't good either all the shades had a strange grey dieing-like washed colour that made my eyes so flat and ugly. The others with the shimmer.....bad too :((( I could count the glitters on my eyes :))))) and they didn t blend at all the colour was leaving spaces (if you get me)shame shame shame. The color pigmentation........SO NOT GOOD.No matter how much product I use I still can't take the effect that I want.

Great eyeshadows! They have a very nice selection of colors as well. Silky soft and blendable. Very easy to use. I like how pigmented they are plus the fact that the pot is huge so it lasts a long time. I have several shades now and will buy more in the future

I was so convinced that BB was the answer to quality matte e/s that I bought four of her shades in one purchase. I ended up disappointed in every one of them. For starters, none of them ended up looking the same on my eyelids as they did in the pots - they each turned too dark, sallow or orangey. To put it simply, they each found a way of draining all the life from my eyes. I now realize that BB does not understand paler coloring like mine and how to enhance it, so I will not be purchasing any more of her eyeshadows. On a positive note, these shadows were smooth, long-wearing and easy to blend for me. I only wish they could've worked out, as I appreciate the larger-sized pots that BB offers.

It's very hard to find true matte eye shadows. I love that Bobbi Brown has many choices when it comes to matte eye shadow colors. I like that each color is purchased individually. They pots are large and will last a long time, even with daily use. When applying I do get some flakes on my cheeks, as others below have stayed. But they are easily wiped off with a makeup sponge and my makeup is not disturbed. I own several Bobbi Brown eye shadows and will repurchase more in the future.

I guess I don't get it - everyone raves about Bobbi Brown eyeshadow and I just don't like them - CoverGirl is better even, in my opinion. They are the hardest to blend of any eyeshadow I have ever tried and the colors are pretty boring. Decent staying power, though. I like MAC, Nars and even drugstore brands much much better than these.

I just bought the new stone washed collection and just like my other BB shadow in Stone, this lands on my cheeks no matter how you apply it. The colors are OK with pigmentation but for the price it's almost better to get MAC. The colors look absolutely gorgeous i the pans but alas, they are all pretty similar and go all over the place.

I currently use Wheat eye shadow to colour in my eyebrows and it is the only colour I have found that doesn't make my brows appear orange/ginger in certain lights (unlike Dior's Blonde eyebrow powder pencil,Chanel's and Smashbox's Blond)!! It has great staying power too and the pot looks as if it will last a good 9-12 months! I did not like the colour on my eyelids as it made me look a little red-eyed (hence i knocked off 1 lippie) but as an eyebrow colour it is fantastic!

The consistency is quite flakey and drops onto your cheeks, the shades are quite bland and don't really do much. Some of the colours are very good for filling in the eyebrows as they are very close to some hair colours. Pretty good lasting ability. But overall, pretty average for the price.

This stuff irritates my eyes. It has great pigmentation and blends easily but after applying, my eyelids start to tingle and sting. This goes on the whole day until I remove them. I have the same problem with BB eyeliner gel as well. Hence, will not repurchase.

I can't figure out why I have a drawer full of Bobbi's eye shadows. There is nothing special about the fomulation of them-- the texture is not particularly soft, they're a little chalky actually. I do like that you can put three of them in a palette and stay organized when you're traveling. (the bigger, 6-pan palette is stupidly gigantic). I think it's the colors that keep me coming back. So many companies focus on their shimmer shadows, but that's not the case with these. Most of the effort is in choosing classic and flattering shades for the matte collection, which I appreciate.

My HG eyeshadow to use as dry eyeliner. As mentioned before in other reviews, I don't have really have dry lids or oily lids, I just have trouble with make-up staying on. I use the matte eyeshadow as dry eyeliner and they stay on!! No eyeshadow has EVER done that. They apply easely using the BB eyeliner brush to push it in the eyelash line and it gives a softer look than when I use the BB gel eyeliner. I have had problems with shadow dusting on my face while applying when using other type of brushes I have but it NEVER happened when I use my BB eyeliner brush (not because it is a BB brush but because of the particular shape/size of that brush). I use espresso and black plum and it looks great. I also have rich brown but it is almost the same than black plum. I am very impressed with the BB makeup line and wish I would have found it sooner.

Bobbie Brown has some great eyeshadows, the shimmer ones that I have used have no pigmentation, and I use good eyeshadow bases. Bone (matte is light on pigmentation but other matte shades are decent, and and very attractive on. My favorie combination (shown to me by a National makeup artist is bone allover, toast on lid, mocha in crease, outer V cocoa and moss mixed together., line wet with cocoa on lid, as liner, dry moss and cocoa under eye. I have been wearing this combo for a long time, on and off, and get many compliments on my eyes(blue-green). It looks good with peach or coral lips, and cheeks.
