I find this cleanser to be so-so, but on the upper end of the so-so scale. I liked that it was a creamy cleanser that didn't foam and dry out my skin and I feel like the little exfoliation beads did a little bit of exfoliating but nothing major. This made it gentle enough to use every time I cleansed my face. However I found that it didn't really do much for acne beside diminish a tiny bit of redness.

Pros: Very gentle and creamy, cleans my skin pretty well and leaves it soft and smooth.

Cons: Doesn't do much for acne, doesn't take off all of my makeup.

Price: About $3 CDN which is pretty good for drugstore cleansers. There's also a TON of product so this tube will last me awhile. Great deal for the amount of product you get (and you only have to use a little bit each time!)

Packaging: I like the packaging. It's in a medium sized tube with a screw-on flip-cap. The only thing is it seems like it can dispense a lot of product with just one squeeze, so I have to be careful not to waste any.

Over all, it's a great product to try but I can't see myself buying it over and over again.

Very good exfoliating scrub for people with combination skin. Only use twice a week as every day is a bit much on your skin and may strip it of the skin's natural oils.

Pros
1. Pleasant Smell
2. Removes dead skin cells leaving the skin with a natural glow
3. Lasts a long time
4. Only a pea sized amount is needed each time you exfoliate your face.
5. Contains Salicylic Acid that is helpful to people with acne.
6. Not harsh like the original Apricot Scrub from St Ives has a nice creamy texture with small yet effective micro-beads

Cons
None, works very well definitely a must in a skin care regimen

This cream cleanser is so-so. I don't think it really does a good job with cleaning so I don't use it to remove make up - I just use it to wash my face in the morning.

I wouldn't have purchased this unless Walgreens was offering this cleanser for free after a rebate.

In terms of texture, the cleanser is creamy and it has little particles of apricot kernels. I wouldn't call them microbeads - they don't seem to be "micro" at all. The purpose for these kernels is to help in exfoliation but I don't think they really do anything. First of all, the kernels are too big and feel too rough. And there isn't enough of them mixed in with the cream cleanser so you don't feel like your skin is getting an even exfoliation. I've tried other cleansers with microbeads and I feel that they did a better job).

What is it about St.Ives products? I have tried so many of them and none of them have worked for me. This product is greasy and has little microbeads that have no purpose other than decoration. It's so greasy that I have to use a foaming cleanser after because it leaves a greasy reside on my skin.

I have since switched this product for Queen Helen's Daily Facial Scrub (a gentle microexfoliant for daily use) and it does a better job at cleaning my skin. If you are more of a foaming cleanser kind of girl, the St.Ives Cream Cleanser will probably not be your best choice. It's more suited for those that like cold cream cleansers or creamy based cleansers. I will not be repurchasing.

This is a cream cleanser with small red microbeads in it. It has a nice clean scent to it. It doesnt dry out my skin and the microbeads gently exfoliate my skin. After I rinse my face I get a "i just had a facial" glow. I brought this a long time ago when I was in high school. I have normal/combination skin with a little bit of pimples every so often. This is quite a steal. I paid about 3 dollars.

I bought this accidently since the rite aid near me put stickers all over the part that said "combination". I usually get the age defying one but since I hadn't bought it in so long I couldn't remember what the packaging looked like and I was rushing. Anyway, hey, this cleared my skin.
I don't know how or why, but in 3 days my skin wasn't breaking out. And it's that TOTM. I'm very confused but very pleased. Washes don't clear my skin ever, only harsh treatments do (which I hadn't been using out of sheer laziness lately).
Maybe because I'm also using an AHA cream (I've been using it for a while though and haven't gotten results like this)...I don't know but I'm liking this. It's very creamy with silly little beads that get in my hair. Smells nice, and takes off a good portion of my insane ammounts of make up. The low low low dose of SA is pretty nice compared the usual 2 percent gel washes that made my face worse. I always liked St. Ives.

It was decision time at superdrug. It was either this one, their oily/acne one, or moisturizing one. I wasn't sure really, about the acne one, considering i have bad luck and my skin dries out too much from that kind of stuff. Then the other hand was a moisturizing formula. I was scared this would leave residue, or possibly break me out! you never know! then the combo one, was perfect. So i took the plunge, and since i liked their gentle apricot scrub, i wasnt too doubtful. I've used this for 4 days, and my skin has cleared up immensely! It is slightly drying, but not as drying as most of the other stuff i've used. I have deep set blackheads, a few whiteheads and over a good amount of clogged pores all over. But i swear by this, has helped alot. i havn't broken out, and i usually have at least one spot! I plan on trying their moisturizing formula next, since it got better reviews.

I really like this product. I bought it not too long ago but it makes my face feel lovely. I also use it on my legs, and it's fab. Not quite sure what the beads are meant to do though. Will repurchase.

I have combination skin, but it's gotten sensitive over this past winter, and this cleanser left my cheeks burning and red. I will try the sensitive version, and use the rest of the combination kind as a body scrub.

Honestly, from all the rave reviews on MUA, i was expecting more from this. It's good but i'm not really a fan off the little beads or of the smell. When it just come out of the tube, it smells like beautiful apricots but as soon as you put it on, it somehow changes to smell like my grandma's house which is a slight turn off. That being said, it does deliver the results, after using it, my skin felt refreshed and purified. However my biggest peeve about it is that it failed to remove my mascara, especially with the annoying little beads getting in the way. Still undecided on whether or not the pros outweigh the cons but probably wil ltry something else next time.

I bought this because I can't afford my favourite cleanser Philosophy Purity at the moment and this was on buy-one-get-one-free.

It really is very good - leaves my skin clean, soft and refreshed and it's not harsh. Smells good too!

I am a big fan of this product. This cleanser really helps my combination skin like many other reviewers have mentioned already. However, once I accidently opened my eyes while scrubbing, and a little bead fell into my eye. I ended up in a scratch in my cornea. That was not fun at all, but I am using the cleanser...with extra caution.

I specifically joined makeup alley because I wanted to write a review on this amazing product! I have had oily skin since 6th grade and now in the ninth grade my skin has calmed down. I still get random acne though but this St.Ives's deep cleanser prevents the breakouts from happening. I've tried everything from ProActiv, to Neutrogena but all of these treatments required a lengthy time to use. St. Ive's is fast and can be used even when I'm in a rush. It left my skin completely soft, healthy and with a beautiful glow.

I've been using this product almost exclusively since it came out about two or three years ago. This product cleans without leaving my skin dry, and exfoliates without leaving it flaky. It removes makeup easily and I love the creamy texture. It's also dirt cheap about 3.99 CAD and has never caused me to have a breakout. Sometimes I follow with moisturizer, but usually I don't feel the need to. I have combination skin and would highly recommend this product.

I love this cleanser. I am now on my second one and I have nothing negative to say about it. It leaves my skin clean and radiant. I like that the beads are not harsh. For those of you that said that the beads do nothing...this is intended to be used as a DAILY cleanser. Harsh scrubs should not be used daily as it would be too abrasive. I will keep using this one for sure.

Skintype: Combination, Normal blemish-free cheek area with oily blemish prone T-zone.
St. Ives is the only drugstore product i will use. However, the cleansing creams do not work as well as the medicated scrub does for me. This one in particular keeps the surface of my skin very smooth, but fails to prevent blemishes.

To those who think this leaves a "film" over their face: you must be used to using very foamy, drying, overly powerful cleansers. It's best to use a gentle cleanser like this, some 2.5% BP, and a nice moisturizer. That's all you need. WWW.ACNE.ORG! Anyway... I think this is a great cleanser. My favorite cleanser so far.***UPDATE***Shame on me for leaving this cleanser. I've gotten so many horrible breakouts since I stopped using this. I'm ending the Purpose & coming back to this cleanser.
