This review is on the Skull Shadow Box. OMG!! I bought this palette on clearance for 12 dollars. Let me say that most of these shadows are PERFECT colors for everyday use.
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Blunt, Chopper, and Twice Baked are clearly my favorites. I might have bought this palette at full price, but I don't have tons of money. So happy I could steal this before it was gone.

I got the Skull palette recently and I'm really pleased with it, moreso than I was with the Fun palette. Oil Slick is a lot blacker than the liner of the same name suggested it might be, so that's a hit. Chopper is probably the most pigmented shade, extremely pretty rosy copper. Vert is a very pretty green that remains quite wearable on my complexion; I found it to have a very slight blue cast. Cherry is very pale but the pink is noticeable on me as I'm even paler- great highlight for pink eye looks. Grifter is less pigmented but no less pretty, a delicate glittery lilac. Blunt is a pretty, 'blonde' gold kind of colour, a yellow for those less into bold colours. Twice Baked, like Baked and Half Baked, is very pigmented, and noticeably different to those two (I love them, but they are pretty similar). Midnight Cowboy Rides Again is a beige-copper with glitter- but it's not overly glittery, for me. Shattered is my favourite by far- beautiful cyan blue with a greenish cast. All shades are great quality and I haven't had noticeable fallout- the deluxe shadows really are fantastic. Packaging is cute, neat and easy to carry or store. Pans are tiny, but they still hold plenty and I can see it lasting a good while. It's versatile in terms of the looks that can be created and I get more use out of my Fun palette when I use it with this one. Definitely a great purchase, I'd probably get another, but I'd more likely buy Shattered by itself when I use this up.

yes, these do look crazy glittery right when you open them. but i found out, atleast for me, that after i use the top of one color, the color gets deeper and less glittery. i really like this pallette and i find myself reaching for it. good quality!

In my opinion a great find for the price. My favorite is the original wallpaper box. Only negative is that the typical UD huge glitter chunks can turn into a mess. The deluxe box doesn't have any glittery shadows, though.

I have the Skull pallette and the mirror came off right away. The cute skull fell off a month later. I like the colors. I love UD eye shadows so I will most likely purchase another pallette! I love pallettes because I change up my look everyday and this gives me great range for day and night looks!

I have the "Wallpaper" palette and while there are some really great colors and it gave me the opportunity to try UD for the first time, the glitter was the one down fall. Some of the colors have glitter and they aren't little flecks, they are chunks of glitter. They get everywhere! Now I LOVE shimmer, but this was too much. Overall, it's a great set though, and great for when I travel because I just grab it and throw it in my bag and have a variety of colors in one package. Probably wouldn't buy it again though.

Since I live in Germany, I had to order this great box (Ammo). When I opened it for the first time, I was just blown away! Those are the prettiest eyeshadows I've ever had!! I love every single one of them. And the quality is great. They look especially nice when applied over UDPP. I love them!

I got this palette with the skull on it as a b-day present last year and it's great. I don't use it everyday because some of the colors are so full of glitter and are a bit bright with UDPP or Too-Faced shadow insurance. But I love it the packaging is so cute!
My favorite color is grifter the sparkly purple color.

I have the ammo one & i love it!.. my favorite colors on the palette would be shattered, oil slick, chopper, & sin.. I don't really use the other colors because of the HUGE pieces of glitter in it.. the colors are pretty.. but the glitter is a nay for me..

I received a skull box as a Christmas present, and I absolutely love it. I've always wanted to try out Urban Decay eyeshadows but never had the money to spend $16 on a single eyeshadow; this is an awesome way to try them out.

In the skull box (in case anyone is wondering), there are nine shadows: CHERRY, a pale pink with gold/silver glitter; MIDNIGHT COWBOY RIDES AGAIN, a beigey gold with huge gold glitter; GRIFTER, a super-pretty lilac shade with sheer silver shimmer; VERT, the prettiest green eyeshadow I've ever seen, a very simple kelly green; OIL SLICK, the most badass coal-black with very fine silver glitter; SHATTERED, an oceany bluegreen with very sheer blue shimmer; BLUNT, a great champagne shimmer, reminds me a little of a more pigmented Stila Kitten; CHOPPER, a gorgeous copper with bronze glitter; and TWICE BAKED, my favorite, a chocolate brown with discreet copper shimmer. It also includes two double-ended eyeshadow applicators, which is great, because you don't have to use one applicator for all eight shadows (which would be a huge problem with, say, Oil Slick and Blunt).

I think this is an awesome value for your money; however, I took a lippie off because there were four neutral browns, four pale colors and a standard black (even if it is the most gorgeous black ever). I would have liked a couple of neutrals, a couple of pastels, a couple of really strong colors (like Roach, Goddess, Gash, Purple Haze, etc.) and then Oil Slick to round it off.

I love palettes in general and this one was a win---I'm definitely purchasing full sizes of at least Twice Baked, Oil Slick and Shattered, and I'm happy to have poked my toe in the ocean of Urban Decay.

I have the WALLPAPER box. Urban Decay shadows are typically very well pigmented and true to color, most with silky, shimmery/pearly textures. This set, while it has an adorable case with a magnetized lid and a decent sized mirror, has very small shadow pans. Not much shadow for your money ($34?...yikes!) Most of the colors are twists on neutrals and are lovely. GRIND is a pale neutral pink, with a decidedly iridescent finish. SHOTGUN is a warm coppery pink, a medium shade. LAST CALL is a very pretty plum color, also warm-toned. ASPHYXIA is a cool violet and is very iridescent..has neat blue/purple two-toned look to it. This shade probably suits cool-toned gals best, though it looks ok on me. UZI is a bright iridescent white. SHATTERED is a really gorgeous peacock teal, and goes on somewhat more sheer than it appears. Also pretty iridescent. SMOG is a rich brownish gold, and is the most intense of all the shades. Not really a daytime color. Highly pigmented! CHOPPER is a pink/peach medium color, more orangey on than in the pan. MIDNIGHT COWBOY is a nice neutral beige, with a slight pink tone. Lovely colors, but here's the catch:

THEY'RE FILLED WITH GLITTER!! Chunky, you can see it with your naked eye, large pieces of ART STORE QUALITY silver glitter. I don't mean mica, I don't mean shimmery flecks...I mean real glitter. The only shades that don't have it are Aspyhxia, Smog, and Shattered. The othes are loaded with it. Which is a shame, because the colors themselves are perfect. But the glitter really ruins it, unless you're young and you like that sort of thing. Not a sophisticated look. It is somewhat possible to forcibly brush the particles off, but even with a gentle application, they somehow ended up all over my face...my cheeks, my nose, my forehead...and even using a stiff-bristled powder brush to remove them didn't really unstick these little devil particles from my face. My cat even had it on his head after I patted him. It just makes me laugh. I'm baffled, honestly.

Way too much glitter. The glitter ended up all over my face, and all over my bf's face after I kissed him. It actually just flies off your face.

It's such a shame, becaue the colours are so pretty. Why did they have to ruin it with exponential amounts of glitter? I can't find an appropriate time to wear this. Maybe halloween or to a REALLY dark club/bar.

I have 2 UD shadow boxes: skull and wallpaper. They're both great! I've used the wallpaper one way more than skull... but it maybe because I have MANY different eye palettes. You get a lot for the price. Overall I'm happy with this product. However glitter fall-out bugs me.

I absolutely had to try UD after reading all the rave reviews. Most of my eyeshadows are neutrals, so this was a big experiment...UD eyeshadows are not for the faint of heart! I ordered the Skull Shadow Box so I could try out a variety of colors/shades for a reasonable price. Blunt and Chopper are the only two I am brave enough to wear to work (in a healthcare setting). The other colors are gorgeous, but I have not yet figured out how to get away with wearing them as my everyday shadows. The deep pigment and glitter are definitely great for evening wear and special occasions. I also purchased the UD eye primer potion with this palette - a MUST have!
UPDATE: I haven't gotten as much use out of these beautiful shades as I would have hoped...the glitter fallout is a big problem! I am hoping that UD comes out with a matte e/s palette since I love the quality and pigment, just can't handle all the glitter.

My favorite eye shadow compact purchased at an ULTA store for $34. As commented below, the pricing is very reasonable given you have a great selection of some of the best selling shadows from UD. I refuse to wear any UD or other brand eyeshadow without Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer ($15). For best results, try MAC #219 pencil brush.

My favorite shade is Grifter. It's the prettiest shade in the pallette. A soft shimmer purple that looks great against my cool skin. Over all satisfied with my purchase.

As an UD fan, I love almost everything of theirs but this is one of my favorites. I don't wear much eyeshadow, and most of the time when I do, I use it as eyeliner - so this is a great pick for me so that I don't have to spend a lot of money to get many different colors. It lasts quite a while, especially if you're only an occasional user like me. I am eagerly waiting for one of their better sets to come out! I wish they had the option of creating my own palette, because I don't want to have tons and tons of eyeshadow like they offer with their eyeshadow vault. One thing I don't like about the palette is the applicators that come with it (I throw them out and use appropriate brushes instead).

I have the skull shadow palette, but I was a little confused as to where to put this review because there are three "shadow box" threads in the search...my favorite one in it is Midnight Cowboy.

This is for the Skull palette - In my experiences, Urban Decay eye shadows are some of the most consistently highly-quality, pigmented eye shadows out there so I had pretty high expectations for this palette. The packaging is cute - silver cardboard with a skull, but cheap and goofy – silver cardboard with a skull. The magnet clasp is pretty sufficient and there’s a decent-sized mirror inside. Forget about the applicators – they’re pretty useless. I do wish the palette were smaller so it could be tucked away in my travel make up bag. The nine eyeshadows inside are seem tiny, but it’s a good amount of product. The names of the eye shadows are printed in silver underneath the respect eyeshadows. Cherry – pale pink with silver sparkles, sheer but buildable, good for a highlighter but a bit too stark for my tanned Asian skin. Midnight Cowboy Rides Again – Super glittery tannish beige that’s amazing smooth and pretty, but not often used by me due to glitter overkill. Grifter – lavender with silver sparkles, very smooth texture, but not a favorite color of mine. Vert – metallic green, sheer, but buildable, overrated. Oil Slick – very pigmented matte black with silver sparkles. Shattered – very sheer turquoise color, not all that great. Blunt – one of my favorites, a peachy golden shade that’s great as a lid color or highlighter. Chopper – burnished gold with silver glitter, beautiful on warm complexions. Twice Baked – dark shimmering brown, very pigmented. The staying power of these eyeshdadows is good with Urban Decay Primer Potion of course. The thing I like most about this palette is it gives you the opportunity to try nine Urban Decay colors for a $34. I am pretty pleased with this palette and I bought a couple as gifts to my girlfriends.
