TERRIBLE PRODUCT FOR EYES.
I bought this at a chemist in Sydney, Australia for $10. It was a spur of the moment decision and I was hoping it would act like UDPP. It's nothing like it. Upon first application, I noticed a tingly sensation that felt cooling but somewhat uncomfortable. I don't like my eyelids feeling as if they're tingly/on fire - depending on the amount that you put on.
If you put on too much, the eyeshadow that you put on top will crease or ball up. I find this product to be drying and perhaps that's due to the menthol or whatever the ingredient that is used to cause the cooling sensation. I hated it.

DON'T THROW IT AWAY!
You're all wondering why I gave this 5 stars? This product is wonderful and I mean, WONDERFUL for highlighting. I use this to highlight under my brow bone, across the top of my cheeks, cupids bow and down my nose bridge after I apply my foundation. My face is radiant and lifted. It doesn't look powdery as many other highlighting products and is virtually impossible to detect. Some of my powder highlights such as Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Rose Quartz can look glittery and shiny - you can see specks of glitter on your face. I don't want to look like Edward Cullen! Same can be said for MAC's Soft & Gentle. Don't get my wrong, the aforementioned products are lovely but the glow achieved by these products look 'exterior' and makeup created.

Come in Nutrogena's eye tint. It imparts a luminosity from within. Your face is radiant and lively looking! For reference I am an NC20-25 in winter and I bought Petal Shimmer. Petal Shimmer is lighter than Honey Shimmer I rushed out to buy Honey Shimmer after discovering how much of a gem this product could be. I use it in Summer when my complexion reaches NC30, it gives a goddess like glow. However, the difference is minute and both could be used for highlight regardless of season. I just like that Honey Shimmer is a bit more golden.

It's sad this product is discontinued (I think!!!!) but I'd recommend those who are NC25 or below to grab Petal and NC30+ to grab Honey!

EDIT: The tingling no longer occurs and I'm assuming that happens once you open the product. I forgot to say it is a mousse like consistency but slightly gel-ish!
I sometimes use it on my under eye area before I put concealer on. Really does illuminate the area.

Very nice product, how versatile. Who would have known hate could be turned into love.

I like Neutrogena Skin Soothing Eye Tints. I use it in Honey Shimmer and it adds just a little tint over my eyes while still leaving them looking natural. Plus, I can add eyeshadow over this, if I want, and it blends smoothly and makes a great base. At about $10 per pot, it's not as expensive as Urban Decay Primer (UDPP). Plus, you can get all of this product out of their handy little pot container.
You can apply this with your finger or with a makeup applicator or Q-Tip.
I do find the light tingling actually soothing to my eyes and this product does seem to relieve eyelid puffiness which i get from allergies.
Just a little of this goes a long way and it lasts forever. Having said that, I'd give it 5 lippies but it dries out. I had to purchase more before my old one was empty for this reason.

First of all, the previous reviewer must of had a reaction which is very unfortunate to this product's ingredients - possibly to the menthyl lactate which is a form of menthol and can be very irritating to the eyes. I liked this product at first but after suffering the soothing/tingling qualities (which can be too much and irritating at times), I happily retired this product and I will not repurchase it.

I really love this. I have this in honey shimmer and its perfect for my olive skintone. I actually like the cooling effect I get from this product, and I really feel it brightens my eyes. This is great as a base, but even better for a pretty look when you are in a hurry.

This is an amazing eye tint. It's sheer and I like how it feels when I put it on. A little goes a long way. I wished the packaging was different, maybe a tube instead.

For some reason this product irritates my eyes, after putting it on, immediately my eyes would literally get watery and it would burn in a tad painful way (not sure if this is suppose to be the cooling sensation of the product or not); then after taking the product off my eyelid would get swollen and red. From time to time I do wear this tint as a base for my eyeshadows and/or I would just wear it alone because on the positive note it looks really good on the eye, it really does brighten your eye up and make you look more alert but my skin isn't too fond for the feel. Probably won't buy it again (personally), but I love the little screwing bottle, I might empty the bottle and use it for my UDPP instead.

I don't know what to say about this product...First off, I didn't feel the cooling sensation like the package claims. This product cost me about $11.00(i got mines at ulta) and i got it in petal shimmer. This container is pretty convenient, so that's a plus, but honestly this product is no different than my UDPP. For me, it's no big deal because i already have UDPP as a pretty good base, but for any of you girls/guys who are looking for a good eyeshadow base that is not as expensive as some higher-end bases, this one will do just the job. Also, I know some ppl say that UDPP makes their eyes itch, so this could be a fairly good alternative to it. i wouldn't really purchase this product again, unless i ran out of my udpp and needed to save some money.

Edit 5/2009: I use this strictly as a highlighter now. Just a little dot on the inner corner of each eye and maybe a bit just below each eyebrow. I find this just too shiny for me to use as a regular eyeshadow.

Edit 3/2009: I find that I am using this every day. It really wakes up the eye area and makes me look rested. I do have to tone down the sparklies with a little beigey eyeshadow (still hate the sparkly effect on my crinkly over 40 eyes, but am liking this product much better with use....still wish it was more MATTE!

So I found this at Target for 3.87 and decided to try it. So far it does have the initial cooling/tingling sensation that is a relief for eyes that have been opened for more than 8 hrs. I got the shade in honey shimmer, since its closer to my skin tone, warm golden. I do like it, yet I wouldn't buy it from its original price which is 8.00. I haven't worn it as a primer, b/c I have UDPP, but I will try it next time.

I have been using this exclusively for about a week as a primer. I have the honey.

The color itself is pretty. It goes on very creamy. I hardly notice the cooling sensation. My complaint is that my eye makeup still creases with this. It lasts most of the day, but not all. ITA the packaging being unsanitary. I apply with a brush, then use my finger.

Will try something else next time.

ETA: I am now using this as an under eye concealer. It does not color, but reflects light, giving a glowing effect. Love it!

I love this. I love the cooling sensation, and I love how my eyeshadow stays in place. Especially the bright, obnoxious eyeshadow I wear. Bright eyeshadow always looks worse when it creases and such. And now it doesn't do it! I wish it was a little cheaper, but the price is worth it. Will so buy more.

I actually really like this. When I blend it over my eyelids in the mornings, the cooling sensation is refreshing, and because it reduces puffiness, it makes me look more awake.

The color I use is Petal Shimmer, which is a pale powder pink, and it also serves as a great highlighter. This *will* crease before it fully dries, but that's easy to blend away. I do notice a significant difference in the staying power of my eye shadow too, and there's minimal creasing.

My only complaint? It comes in a tub, which it seems unsanitary. After a few weeks, the tub has actually started to smell "off." For that reason, I am taking off a couple of lipsticks. They should sell this in a tube.

I've used this in both colors, currently using the Honey Shimmer because it is more neutral. I like it as an eye shadow base but it has too much shimmer/color to be the best eye shadow base. It feels good on and works pretty well. If I find something better, I won't buy it again but until then it's price is right and it does the job pretty well.

This is a definite NO. It was half price at CVS, I am assuming they are discontinuing it, which is probably a wise thing to do. It must normally be $10 because I was charged $5.

Goes on ok, like any sheer cream shadow. I felt an immediately cooling sensation which was the first negative, I obviously did not read the ingred. list saying it contained menthol...if I had, I would not have gotten it. Menthol and mint oils are useless, all they do is provide a cool tingly feeling that makes you THINK a product is working or doing something beneficial, when in reality those ingredients are irritants.

From the minute this went on, my eyes began to water and did not stop. I gave it about a half hour, then washed it off. This is going back to the store, I want my $5 back!!!

This product really surprised me (got Honey Shimmer) because I bought it just thinking it'd be a great sheer color for my eyes but I've ended up using it in other ways as well. For me foundation's a must so already having that on I apply this all over my lids and under my eyes, it acts as the perfect concealer for me opening up my eyes and lightning my slightly "raccoonish" under eye area (fyi: I have light tan skin tone in the winter with olive undertones) and the cooling affect feels refreshing as my eyes are slightly swollen in the mornings. Now for the other uses: I dab a little under my bottom lip just in the center and instantly my bottom lip looks fuller. Also I apply some in the groove between my nose and the center of my upper lip and then in my laugh lines (this stuff make them less noticeable) and around the bottom corners of my nose smoothing it up beside the sides of my nose and then a tiny bit down the center of my nose(making my nose appear slightly narrower). Yes this stuff has "sparkllies" in it but on my skin it doesn't look glittery or anything (wouldn't like it if it did). The whole affect for me is just a very fresh clean face. More pulled together. This little jar is amazing I can't believe all the things I can do with it! I probably won't be able to use it in the summer as my skin gets tanner and I think its kinda weird that they only make this in two colors BUT for now I love it and don't want to do my makeup without it. : )

I really like this stuff. I apply in the morning while I'm doing my hair before my makeup, and it actually makes the swelling in my eyes go down, as they are usually a little swollen when I wake up. I have to apply it with a concealer brush because the tiny jar is so small. I like the cooling sensation it leaves! I have used this many times and am quite pleased with it. I have it in petal shimmer, and use very little, because that is all you need. It does make my eyeshadow stick, but the price is a little too steep for me. My mom was actually the one who bought it for about 8$ at Walgreens. I will keep using if I don't find anything better/more affordable. :)

I have both Honey Shimmer (golden-warm/neutral) and Petal Shine (cool/neutral). I am a MAC C2 and can easily wear either of these for a natural, neutral look. The product is very creamy and a little goes a long way. It does have a tiny bit of shimmer, but nothing overwhelming. The cooling sensation is a bit odd, but doesn't last long; it dries down to a powdery finish if you use only a small amout.
I find that the product does crease, but I don't have any problem if I use a primer (usually either Mary Kay eye primer or Urban Decay Primer Potion - AKA UDPP). It will also be cakey and flaky if too much is applied. I find that I get the best results by only applying a thin layer with the MAC 242 brush (stiff, good for emollient products).
