I love this cream. It is expensive for the price, but for a natural hand cream that smells good and works well...you probable can't beat the price. I paid around $9.00 for the small jar a Whole Foods. I keep the cream on my desk at work at all times. My hands get really dry quickly from filing paperwork and typing constantly. I will be repurchasing!

This is good for someone with really dry hands. When my hands get sore and dry from winter or just washing them too much, this works pretty well. Its very thick and waxy so if you don't like that greasy feeling it's best to use this right before bedtime. I find it spreads out better when I scoop some out and let it warm up in my hand first rather than trying to rub it in right away. I won't repurchase this because I don't like the smell of banana and most of the time I don't need a hand creme this heavy.

I'm a bit surprised at all the negativity towards this product! I personally love it! It smells amazing! It's a natural scent so it's usable for those with sensitive skin like me, it doesn't irritate at all. It is quite a rich, heavy and moisturising hand cream and I'd only really recommend it for people with dry skin. For my hands, which get easily dry and cracked.. This is a godsend! You also only need the 'tiniest' bit. I think people may be using too much. When using this amount, I find that it absorbs pretty quickly and with only the slightest greasy feeling. To be honest, any hand cream this moisturising is going to have some greasy feel to it. I find it really difficult to find a hand cream that moisturises my hands sufficiently, even though most suit others fine. I think the price is good value too for a product that has natural ingredients and the product should last a really long time, I just hope it doesn't go off too quick. I'm taking off one lippy because I wish it would be a little easier to spread, but I guess that is due to it's texture. I usually rub it in together with a cheap, less moisturising hand cream to help it spread easier. That step may bother others but I really don't mind.

Heavy, sticky and gets bad really quickly! This big jar should be good for couple of months - instead after a short time it gets that old gone off smell...
I also have a feeling it doesn't get absorbed too well.

The quick and dirty: It's not moisturizing enough - it's way too waxy! It just sat on my hands - they felt waxy and dry simultaneously. I could literally touch dry patches of skin even with a thick layer of product just sitting on my hands. Also, it comes in a glass jar, which is unsanitary and potentially unsafe. I gave it 2 lippies because I loved the smell.

Didn't care much for the scent or the cream. Yes, it is super greasy. Doesn't spread easily and too expensive for the larger jar. Luckily, I bought the tester kit

First of all I really like the packaging, it's very attractive to look at and catches your eye.
Although it is heavy and I wouldn't like to have it in my bag as it would take up a lot of space and would weigh my bag down.
The smell is amazing, it's so good that I wish I could eat it.
The texture in the pot is really creamy and feels lovely on your hands at first but unfortunately leaves a oily finish and doesn't dry very fast so I don't use it very much anymore.

The banana fragrance is convincing and not too overwhelming and the consistency is rich and makes my hands feel soft. I do find it a bit greasy, though, and so I don't reach for it often.

This is my favorite hand cream, that being said it is much thicker than lotion and does not sink in as well (as others have mentioned). It's the banana scent that wins me every time, it smells to me like Wonka Laffy Taffy Mmmm... To me this is a treat to use , and I will continue to as long as I can get my hands on it. I purchase this from vitacost.com as I cannot find it in stores where other Burt's items are sold. One other use for this is on my lips at night as a moisture boost.

Like the Almond hand cream, I initially found the scent overwhelmingly strong and cloying. But like that one this scent grew on me as well. This is a very thick, slow to absorb, wax based hand cream. If you have very dry hands that's a plus, as the sheen and feel of the cream linger. I have very dry skin, so this is a quality I like in a hand cream. I can see why others with less than very dry skin, might not find a thick, slow to absorb cream, ideal. The scent is more banana candy than tropical by the way. There are so many hand creams on the market, but if you like gourmand/food scents, and need a very heavy duty, fairly natural product to moisturize dry hands, this is a fair option, and very good if your skin is very dry. I'd suggest buying a trial sized kit or BB products to see what you like before buying full sized. I would repurchase and said so but because of my dry skin problems, I have many creams and like to try new ones.

Unlike most of the other reviewers I didn't mind this. It wasn't what I expected. It's waxy more than creamy and takes ages to sink in. The banana scent wasn't as nice as I'd hoped - it was strongly scented and became a bit sickly after a while.
The jar it came in was nice. It was easy to get every last bit of it. You don't get as much product as I was expecting although a little of this stuff does go a long way so the jar lasted me from october to the end of march.
It did do a great job of healing and protecting my dry, chapped hands though. I ended up using another hand cream most of the day and putting this one on as a treatment at night or when working outside in the winter.
I won't buy this again, mainly because I wasn't keen on the scent, but I might try the almond one next winter.

The creme is in this awful glass pot that makes it so hard to get out without getting it all under my nails. Then its terribly sticky and hard to spread out, and 20 minutes later, my skin is literally making rasping noises when I rub my hands together because IT IS SO DRY. Worst hand cream. Much preferred the tiny Nivea tins - smelled great (very light) and did a decent job moisturizing.

eeemmm....really dislike this cream! I bought it without reading any of the reviews...now regret it! It smells like banana in the pot, but as soon as I apply it it gets that nasty old gone off cream smell...not nice. Its super thick and sticky!!!! I wanted to use it during the night anyway...but its not really moisturising. Its ok...I think Nivea does pretty much the same job.
Wouls not buy it again))))

My hands were insanely dry. An acquaintance suggested Burt's Bees hand creme. I picked up a jar (without opening to smell). I really dislike the chemical-banana smell. Product is pretty difficult to work onto hands. This product now sits, mostly unused, in a drawer. Overall, I would not buy again, and I would discourage others from buying.

Sticky!!! I tried it once and took a lot if scrubbing to get it off my hands. I thought I got a faulty one but now I know it's not after reading the reviews.
Don't waste your money.

I hate this crap. I have hand eczema, and bought this once in highschool on an impulse from Rite Aid, and it is a sticky, bad-smelling mess! My favorite hand creme is probably Aveda's....it smells just heavenly!

I got lured into this hand cream from the delicious smell of bananas...however after repeated use for several months, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't work at all. It's really greasy upon application, but once it sinks in, your hands end up drier than ever! In fact, after using it repeatedly, my hands are sore and peeling. Isn't that strange?

Did someone fill my pot up with paste? OMG this stuff is so sticky, I could wallpaper with it. I got this in a kit of sample-size products on sale so the price was inexpensive. I only took a small dab of this out to put on my cuticles and my fingers and sticking to the keys on my keyboard. Yuck. Maybe I'll try this on my heels this winter but I'll have to put on socks and go to bed with this stuff on. It's so thick and gooey. Sorry, BB, but this is a big fail.

I have three mini jars of this stuff lying around for over a year now. I kept buying the trial packs for the foot cream and lemon cuticle butter (fabulous).
The hand creme in a pot was a fail though. Until I used it as a wax for my hair.
The stuff stinks. But because they come in such handy mobile pots, I use them as hair product at the gym. Win!

Burt's Bee's is a great brand that always has cute packaging, and you know the products are natural. This hand creme REALLY moisturizes your skin. I would only use this if you really need heavy duty moisturizing. The consistency is very thick and very waxy and it doesn't absord fast. It takes a lot of time to rub it in and even then you'll need to wipe the rest off. This didn't smell like banana's to me, just typical Burt's Bee's waxy smell, which I don't hate but its not the nicest. A tiny bit of this goes a long way. It also kind of feels gross on your skin.
