Well, this has to be followed by a conditoner, otherwise it'll leave your hair dry.
Don't let it dry too long on your hair.

Fantastic reconstructor...better than Joico IMO, I had to put a moisturizing conditioner on after Joico because it leaves your hair quite dry afterwards, but this one I don't. I also like that you only have to leave it on for 2 minutes, I noticed a drastic diffrence after one use, Great stuff!

Love! One of the few hair treatments that I am impressed by, it has really saved my over-processed hair! So many products claim hair improvement over time, but I can see and feel a drastic difference after just one use! Love the smell too!! I will definitely repurchase.

I absolutely love this product. I swear by it!!! After one use I automatically notice a HUGE difference in my hair!! I have very thin long blonde hair in which I get colored and blow dry & straighten everyday. So after awhile it starts looking really dull and dry and my ends start looking terrible. I use this product about once, sometimes twice a week. It truley is a lifesaver and makes my hair do a complete 180. It's shiny, silky, smooth and beautiful again.
When I first got this, I used it everyday and found that my hair was getting a bit more greasy and oily then usual. That's when I learned to just use it a few times a week.
I told my hairdresser how amazing this stuff was and now she uses it on all of her clients and tells me how well she sells it now. I honestly don't see how it wouldn't work for anyone!

This product really does do a great job. It doesn't feel super thick and creamy when you apply it but the conditioning results are fabulous and keeps my dry, highlighted hair very healthy with weekly treatments. It's worth the price because it does work. The only thing I don't like is the smell which is a little too medicine-y for my taste.

I bought this along with the hydrate shampoo, conditioner and the leave-in conditioner. This product left my hair dry and frizzy. Not what I was expecting. I returned it to my hairdresser for a refund.

I had my hair highlighted last winter and the stylist left me to sit under the dryer for about 45 minutes!!! My hair has never been so damaged before. It started to break and I purchased this and it was my rescuing product! I used this and the nanoworks shampoo and conditioner and my hair survived. It's long...mid-back...and I did not end up having to cut it. This helps a little with detangling, but mostly it's great to reconstruct, to repair and help keep hair strong.

Ok...just so you all know...this is NOT a "conditioner". Unfortunately, most lines call their heaviest conditioner their "reconstructor"

The pureology green (they call it "essentials") shampoo and reconstructor...is a line meant to be used once a week in CONJUCTION with your normal shampoo and conditioner.
For instance...you're supossed to use the purify shampoo, your regular shampoo, the reconstructor, then your normal conditioner or masque.
You can use them more if you wish, but they aren't meant to replace your normal shampoo/conditoner.
The reconstructor has very little moisturizing properties (if you like the way it feels it just means your hair isn't dry, it's just damaged)...so if you need MOISTURE you need to use something with this product.
Over time, this product will definitely reduce breakage and frizz caused by damage, and that "straw-like", dull appearance damaged hair has.
When i use it, i do notice my hair feels thick and bouncy. It's also a great preventative treatment (ie. when you're "growing out" your hair) or the day before a color process as it heals the hair and prepares it for the color.

If you need a good MASK and like pureology...try the Nanoworks or the moisturizing mask. The Nanoworks mask has protien AND moisture to combat both problems. If you just need moisture use the moisturizing mask.
Most people that know how to use this product end up falling in love with it! Hopefully this helps you decide what you want/need!

I have fine,wavy hair that I blow dry straight daily. I have noticed a major improvement in the quality of my hair since I began using the Pureology line. I use this product 2-3 times a week and I leave it on for about 5 minutes. Leaves my hair feeling smooth and silky. I have noticed a lot less split ends in between trims. Love the smell!!

I have only used a sample of this so I cannot speak on long term results, but just as all Pureology products I have tried, I am impressed with this one as well. The texture felt heavy when I squeezed it out into my hand, almost oily, but it absorbed into my hair very easily and rinsed clean as well. I left it in my hair for about 3 minutes and rinsed and my hair was left very soft and shiny and healthy looking just after one use. I also really like the earthy scent that this product has very much.

Again, a fantastic product! It literally saved my hair after getting a perm that simply did not take. Just the best products out there. I have tried them all -- Phyto, Bumble and Bumble, Fekkai. This one is the best and worth the price.

Sorry to say it's horrible. Bought it on ebay for a fraction of the cost, but it was not worth a penny. I will be reselling it hopefully. It did not give any quality, moisture or life back to my hair. The pureology line is definitely not for me. It did nothing but make my hair drier and too silky on top so it laid flat and frizzed at the ends. Not happy with it. Emergencee is the way to go for me.

I waited 2 months to write my reviews and I must say.....this. Is. My. HG. "Conditioner", lol. I use this daily, after I shampoo my hair (of course with a Pureology shampoo) it has a nice, fresh, earthy smell. ALthough it doesn't cure split ends, I get my hair trimmed and it prevents them from happening. I wanted to grow my hair long and this has helped me so far. My stylist commented on my hair, she was shocked that it was so healthy because I did everything to my hair! I bleached, toned, highlighted, lowlighted, went brunnette back to blonde, extensions, and I heat style my hair almost every other day! I could give Britney Spears's hair changes a run for her money, lol (my lastg soultion was to shave it all off) but thank god for this product...the brand! I leave it in for 5 mintues in the shower, wash off and finish off with Pureology leave in conditioner. Before I use to use so much products to repair my hair, which made it worse IMO, now I just use 3(shamp, conditi, and leave in) wa LA!

My color damaged waist length hair has crispy ends, brittle texture and has the consistency of straw. After using Pureology recontruct for a couple times my hair felt bouncy and full. We've stumbled upon the fountain of youth for hair! Its "mega dose" of proteins really returned elasticity, bounce, bendibility all the characteristics of healthy youthful hair. Before when i squeezed my hair it *crunched* now my locks are fluffy and plump.

I use this as a treatment once a week and hydrate with Pureology Nanoworks and The Pureology Leave in for heat damage protection. My hair hasn't been this beautiful since i was ten!
*Update:* to use any protein conditioner you must MUST use a moisturizer afterwards. The directions say to leave in your hair 2-5 minutes but I left it on my hair all night and rinsed the next morning. My hair is extremely soft and shiny. It 'looks' healthier and that's all that a hair product can do. I doubt it actually reconstructs the hair, afterall the hair is dead but it did give fullness to my lifeless locks. Smells good too.

this has a very good "hippie" smell. i was raised with a mom who burned sage and lemongrass so this product's smell doesnt bother me at all ;} it left my hair smooth and clean, without feeling heavy. i used this before i tried the shampoo or the conditioner- i needed a shower but didnt really wanna wash my hair (i had showered that morning) so i left this on to soak while i shaved my legs. my hair felt so soft and was so workable! this stuff is expensive but if i ever come across a sale, or get a raise, ill be buying this stuff for sure!

I can't understand how Pureology gets such good reviews? I think it's the worst line I've ever put on my hair and dries it out to no end. This Reconstructor is no exception and I would never ever buy again.

Love it. I have thick, dry, wavy, color treated hair. I usually use a hydrating shampoo and condioner, followed by Biosilk Silk Therapy. I got a sample of the Reconstrutor and love it. I used it after my shampoo, left it on for 2 minutes and my hair is soft and silky, no need for the Biosilk.
