I like the smoothness of this lipbalm when applying this, but as with many Dr.Hauschka products, the ingredients irritate my skin. Dr.Hauschka is just not for people with sensitive skin. They use irritating fragrance oils like; Fragrance/Parfum (Essential Oil), Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral and Linalool.
So after an hour this lipbalm makes my lips burning, dry and red. Plain vaseline does a better job.

I got this off of dermstore mostly bc I was ordering something else and wanted the free shipping. I'm happy I did. This does a good job moisturizing my lips which get chapped very easily. The smell isn't wonderful it's more herbal but it doesn't feel thick on my lips or glob up on the sides of my mouth. The packaging is good you twist it up and then apply and the cap hasn't came off in my purse which is good because I don't want it smeared all over my wallet, phone, and other stuff. I will probably repurchase but only if I'm ordering some other things off dermstore because I don't see the point of buying this online by itself. Jmo

I'd give this 1,000 stars if that were allowed. The holy grail of lip treatment. It has completely changed my life. I suffer from burning lip syndrome, and am extremely prone to cracking, tearing, bleeding, shedding lips, especially when seasons change, or for no reason whatsoever. This has confused numerous dermatologists that I have seen, none of whom have ever been able to help me throughout many years of desperately seeking relief! I even consulted with several dentists and they couldn't figure it out either. Then I walked asked for help and was directed to Dr. Hauschka. It gave me my life back! I use it constantly and am never without it. It goes great with lipstick or by itself. I no longer have to be embarrassed by my lips and can eat normally as long as I apply this lip treatment first.

My HG!!! Why oh why do I keep cheating on this one with cheaper or inferior lip balms? Lovely rosey-orangey scent. No minty or spicy flavoring to sting my lips. Super texture - perfect balance of oils and waxes to leave a moisturized, shiny, "silky" - but not greasy - finish. (May not be the best for men for guys for this reason - they should try the pot version). No SPF but I don't care! I pat my Badger sunblock (all natural) over this when I need it. The ONLY downfall? The packaging! It has that lipstick-like twist up tube that gets weak at the base (and sometimes breaks) when it's around ANY heat (like your pocket). I love it enough to keep using it in spite of this annoying defect but a Chapstick-like twist up tube would be preferable. The price is a little steep too - around $15/16 at Whole Foods - but they frequently have it on sale for a few bucks off. It's worth it IMO though because it works so you don't need to apply it as often. On a side note, the pot is a different formulation - more waxy, not as shiny. I don't like the pot packaging or formulation but I think it's a formula that's more suited for a guy anyway.

Works well. I like it because it has a glossy finish. Not like other matte-ish lip balms. Goed on thin and just makes you look fresh and healthy. I like that about Hauschka products.

My lips were chapped from using another lipbalm, as soon as i could, i went and bought this balm from Dr. H. I've had this one i pot form before. And i knew it worked well, here we are on my second day wearing this balm, and my lips feel normal again.
Pros: It works!, it's natural, leaves a subbtle shine, shimmer/colourless, more hygienic than the balm in tubs.
Cons: It's expensive, it has that herbal smell - that some people might dislike, it's not vegan, medicine like packaging, only SPF 3.

I have been using ONLY this lip balm for over ten years because it is the best. Not waxy, not oily, not creamy, just a perfectly emollient and smooth application and texture that keeps my lips hydrated better than any other product I've ever used, without any icky taste or fragrance. I have converted many friends to this lip balm, and they now buy it exclusively. You can usually get it at Whole Foods, or from Amazon. Love this stuff.

I had to review this lip balm because it's just so amazing! It's super expensive, but totally worth it if you're like me and your lips are forever peeling. It's so embarrassing to be caught peeling skin off your lips when it's really dry. I've tried a lot of different lip balms but nothing really helped in the long term, I always ended up with drier lips when I stopped using it. But this lip balm keeps my lips really well moisturised for about 6-7 hours. Then another coat is good but not necessary. My lips feel soft and healthy at night now, it's such a relief! I'll definitely buy this again.

this is an awesome lip balm! i find the combination of ingredients to be perfect for healing dryness and providing a lasting comfortable moisture to the lips. the lanolin is really significant in this formula for helping heal chapped lips, it's not vegan so it might not appeal to some people, but during the time i nursed my baby i discovered the amazing properties of lanolin on chapped lips, ie from the Lansinoh for nursing mothers! anyway....
as much as i love this stuff, the only downside is the heavy price tag, and it really only lasts about 6 weeks. i would totally repurchase, but i can't always due to the cost.
i found a great shea butter one as my cheaper alternate for now.

I'm on my second tube of this and I am a lip balm WHORE. Like, super promiscuous. I paid about 8 bucks for it at my local organic co-op, which is a lot for lip balm but not as much as others have been paying. I don't know if I would pay $15 or whatever (actually, I probably would).
This is the only balm that actually keeps my lips in good condition. I've tried a million and sometimes they work...then they stop...or they work but make my lips look thinner...or they feel gross....etc. Burt's Bees is my on and off mistress- I usually alternate between the regular and pomegranate, which work fine, but this works SO much better. BB...I used to love you...but I found someone else.
I reapply constantly. This probably contributes to the fact that it seems to get used up way faster than all my other balms, but I think it's more so due to the texture. It just wear down quickly. That's pretty much the only negative I can think of, but it's not enough to take away a lippie. I like the smell/taste (for some reason it makes me feel like I'm doing something healthy, when in reality it's just vanity/product obsession) but my boyfriend prefers my Kiss My Face peach balm (which gets a 'meh' from me).
This stuff also gives a nice glossy, rosy, plump look. I seriously love it.

I like to try different lip balms and really like this one.
At the beginning I think its smell makes me sick but after the second time tried it now I think its smell is okie. I dont know if the smel fades or I get used to it!
It works well for my lips, not dry any more. Also feel quite comfortable because it is natural.
You should give it a try if u are okie with its smell.

First few days of using this Lip Balm Stick, my lips were dry and cracking and I stopped using it because they felt unhappy. I think the lip balm was actually exfoliating my lips and getting rid of old skin as I've started using it again and my lips are now happy, plump and moisturized. However, Weleda's lip balm is significantly cheaper and I think it protected my lips in a similar way. Bottomline, I'll probably stick with Weleda rather than buy another Dr. H.
Edit: will now just use this as my Weleda broke in half! Also, this works better. Hubby says it has a medicinal smell, but it works wonderfully so I'm sticking with it.

I didn't have chapped lips until I tried this product...dried them right out overnight. It did do 1/2 of what it promised...increased the pigment in my lips but totally drying.

This is the best lip balm I have ever used. I'm always searching for something to keep my lips from drying out and peeling and since I've been using Dr. Hauschka lip balm, I haven't had any problems. Absolutely fantastic. Also, it has a very mild herbal scent. I also have darker lips and find that since using this, my lips are getting the healthy pink tone back. For people with cronic cracked lips though I would say go for the one in the pot since its a little richer. I found mine at shoppers drug mart for $15 CAN. I know most of the reviewers think its very expensive, but I've wasted enough money on lip balms and glosses that just went into the garbage. I think if something really works, $15 bucks isn't much for having healthy lips. I love Dr. Hauschka's holistic approach.

Oh man, I have never loved a lip balm more than this one! My father bought me a whole batch of these when he went to Germany a year ago and I've been using them ever since. The lip balm is incredibly moisturizing and the moisture lasts for a long time. I like the organic honey-ish smell too. It works really well as a primer for lipstick and such.

I have been looking for a lip balm to replace the one I got as a gift at a spa in Germany. The jojoba in this creats a lip gloss effect hard to find in other chap sticks. It's not the best as far as for healing chapped lips (mine are chronic), but it's great if you are in the mood for some gloss from a healthy product line. Eco-lips has a similar glossy formula, for a lot less, but I just love Hauschka since the brand comes close to letting me realize my fantasy of using products from only one line. There is a video online about Hauschka and how they run their factory -- "the holistic production of Dr. Hauschka products" -- of course, it's a commercial, but it gives you an understanding of the products' high cost.

PROS: (1) great rose, almond, and butter with a slight herbal undertone scent. (2) Perfect packaging that makes it almost impossibly to accidentally close cap on product, therefore scraping it up and wasting some of it. (3) Leaves my lips soft and smooth, giving them a sheer dewy affect. (4) works great under lip stick to prevent drying. (5) All natural, even the 'perfume' is just made up of essential oils.
CONS: (1) price, it is $15 for one stick (2) One stick for $15 does not last long, you will get, at best- 6 weeks of use before needing a new one.
Overall this is a gorgeous lip balm for the health conscious or those looking for a natural remedy. It promotes your lips health due to the use of protecting properties such as wax, and promotes moisture due to ingredients such as almond and jojoba oil, and sooths lips due to rose hips. It is ideal for mild to moderately dry lips, although I wouldn’t have high expectations for severely cracked, pealing lips (It would be ideal to use a medical lip balm should your lips reach this condition). Although this has been fabulous for Summer, I wonder how it will fair in the Winter. Only time will tell. For now, during mild weather this is all the comfort and pampering my lips need.

I absolutely love this lipbalm. I've wasted so much money on cheap lipbalms that you use for a while, then toss... and had given up on finding anything that was actually worthwile.
It is on the rather expensive side for a lipbalm, but it does last you a good while. I use my lipbalms a couple of times a day and before bed, and have never been disappointed. It sinks into your lips slowly and it's a very pleasant feel, unlike some lipbalms that leave you with dried out lips after the balm is gone. It just feels like this does something for your lips, you know? I love the herbal/rose smell, very natural and... good. :-) The packaging is, as always from Dr. Hauschka, simple but classy and I really like it.
I have already gone through 3 sticks of this, and it still remains my favorite lipbalm product I have ever used; I don't feel like trying anything else. I think it will actually save you money in the long run when you get something that actually works and you can therefor apply more sparingly. I'd say try it! I must mention that this is definitely for the stick, I found the pot somewhat different!
