Great shadow I gotta say. Need it daily to brighten up my skin so I don't look like a zombie. Kinda hard to get off sometimes though as the sparkles are very big. Good product, I would recommend it to anyone as long as their skin's not too oily as it might make you look oilier, but I gotta hand it to them for the packaging, it's so tiny but there's lots of shadow.

I'm actually a fan of this product. It gives a nice bit of sparkle that really goes well with my eye color, and it looks great layered over more dramatic shades of eyeshadow.

This is way too shimmery. The shade is ok for lids but the shimmer particles are rather huge and catch the light too well. I tried dusting away the top layer of the eyeshadow but the glitter is everywhere and deep within the pan too.
It's too shimmery even to work as a highlighter on the brow bone or cheeks. I'm not quite sure what to do with this, sadly.
Packaging and volume wise is pretty standard, though that applicator is rather crap imo.
An OK purchase if you like glittermania, but otherwise, please AVOID with a capital A.

I'm not too keen with tons of shimmery shadow on my eyes due to my dark skin so this color actually worked pretty well on my eyes. I don't have problems getting it on my brush or onto my lids and I actually prefer it sheer as opposed to heavy. I don't use it as a highlighter though as I don't want that "is she asking me a question?" look from others. I use it in the inner part of my eyelids under my crease to make my eyes look open.

Despite the bad reviews I picked this up a few days ago. Since I'm so pale (NW15) being too sheer & not showing up is a problem I rarely have. This was actually quite pigmented. It's a pinky-peach shimmery nude. Liking this a lot

For me, this product had great payoff and I think is a great color for summer. It is not for those who are afraid of glitter and will have fall-out if you apply too much or don't use a sticky base. I don't know why others are complaining about how sheer this color is because mine isn't sheer at all.I gave it a 4 because I love the color but the glitter can be a little intense. I love sheer sand and would re-purchase if I ever ran out!

I have seven Milani eyeshadows and this one has to be the worst one, in the pan is a beautiful color but somehow it doesnīt work the color is way too sheer and with like chunks of glitter, is the only one I wouldnīt repurchase, donīt like this at all so I gave it to my sister.

The color in the pan is gorgeous but this is one of the really fussy eyeshadows by Milani that I don't love. It looks like beigey taupe in the pan however the outcome you'll get from this shadow varies on how experienced you are with eyeshadows... I highly suggest treating Sheer Sand more like mineral/mica powders and use a tacky and sticky type of bas for this or using it wet. If you don't use a proper base or method for this eyeshadow it will essentially be very sheer and obnoxiously glittery. However if you get a hand of it, it can be quite a beautiful color.
With this said, this eyeshadow just requires a bit too much work that it's never been a favorite of mine (especially since other Milani shadows I own are much easier to work with). I don't hate this color but I definitely don't love it nor plan to repurchase.

As other reviewers have suggested, this shadow works better as a highlighter due to its extremely sheer finish. There's not enough color payoff for me to be able to use it as an all-over wash. To describe the color: it's a neutral beige with plenty of gold shimmer - almost to the point of being glittery.
My major problems with Sheer Sand are that the texture is very crumbly and the shadow tends to disintegrate into small chunks - at least in the package that I have. Also, I dislike that when I use it I end up with little bits of gold shimmer / glitter all over my cheekbones. I'll continue to use it as a highlighter but won't repurchase. Other colors in the line of Milani shadows are much better, in my opinion.

This was my HG nude shadow before switching to mineral makeup. On my very pale skin, it added some lovely shimmer and just a slight beige / champaigne color. Great for washes or for times when I want to add a bit of shimmer without adding color! Like all eyeshadows, I did need to us UDPP to make it last all day on my oily lids.

This is a very pretty sheer highlighter, that has lots of gold glitter. I find that it doesn't show up on my skin too much, so I really have to layer it on to get it to show. In the pan it looks like a medium gold/beige shade, but it is very sheer. I don't know if I would buy this again, it is very pretty and suits my skin tone (NC15-20) and makes my blue-grey eyes pop, but it is nothing special.

Nice subtle shimmery highlighter color when applied sheerly. As with other Milani shadows, it is pigmented, hence why I added when applied sheerly. Nice smooth texture that is easy to work with and blend. Got it for dirt cheap...$1.50 on clearance. Would definitely buy again if I ever run out!

A really pretty highlighting shade...goes with almost anything. It's a medium shimmery beige, but neutral not too cool, or too warm. I actually like my brownbone/highlight shades to be not so opaque...otherwise, I think your eyes can look mask-like. The texture is silky and easy to work with. I didn't have any staying power problems with this, but my browbone is not the oily part of my eye.
I could see this being a staple color in a lot of palettes. For the price you really can't go wrong.

This is a great eyeshadow! This is great as a highlighter, or and eyewash, since it is a neutral light golden-tan. Pairs well with everything, I use this under my eyebrow often. I will buy this again.

This is a slightly tanner (less beige) more golden (less silvery) version of Midnight Cowboy eyeshadow from Urban Decay. Very pretty color and would reccomend it heartily (especially for warmer skintones who might find Midnight Cowboy too cool). Like it a lot, however, I think Midnight Cowboy better for me personally.

I cannot say enough good things about this shadow! It's the perfect every-day color for my fair complexion and blue eyes. The color is a tan with gold micro-glitter, looks great worn alone or as a highlighter. Wonderful price, I will keep re-purchasing!

Yes, Sheer Sand is the red-headed stepchild of the Milani Eyeshadow family, but its special in its own way. No, its not very pigmented ( SHEER sand...get it?) but its perfect as a whisper-light warm taupe shimmer wash. You can easily build it up by using a thicker brush, using visine to wet it, and/or multiple coats. I like to take a clean, fluffy brush after applying and buff it to a nice sheen. Simple and pretty. Also good to lightly define the crease over Classic Beige as a wash, Java Bean to line as a glimmering twist on a classic neutral eye.
