LOVE! Best moisturizer I've used yet. It's thicker than lots of lotions out there, yet it's thinner than body butters. It's perfect. I use it all over when I get out of the shower, and use it on my hands after i wash them too. It works great, it's not greasy at all and moisturizes very well, and is long lasting.
I love the hand pump design. It makes it so much more easy to use.
The scent is great. It's a nice chocolatey smell. It's not overpowering, though. I also have the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks, and I find that I prefer that scent. It's a little less chocolatey. Anyways, this lotion does has a very nice smell :)
I will definitely buy Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion again. I started using it through my pregnancy for stretch marks, and now I'm using it as an everyday moisturizer since this stuff really does work!

I tried one variation of this product today called Palmers Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks. I like Vaseline Cocoa Butter as well but believe Palmer's is cheaper so I bought this one. It cost £3.99 for 250ml from Bodycare and that's good value for money. The smell was fainter than some of Palmer's other products but it was still a nice smell and it was easy to apply.
BUT then I noticed there was hair and some kind of dust/dirt in the bottle, actually in the liquid and 2 pubic hairs on the outside of the bottle near the part you can unscrew that had stuck onto the outside of the packaging.
I am grossed out by this and believe it has been used in transit. Although it's my first time using this particular lotion I won't be buying it again and will be taking it back tomorrow for a refund. I don't even want to tell the store workers this is the reason for the refund because it seems so gross and unusual I don't think they will believe me, so I might just say I don't like the smell or something to avoid embarrassment.
Basically my advice is, you could try it, but if there isn't constant surveillance during its transit I'm guessing people can just try it on themselves in store rooms or on lorries or whatever. It says it's made in the USA and I bought it in England so somewhere along the way between America and England someone has most likely used it and then just put it back.

I started using this recently and I love it. It's rich, it's incredibly moisturizing and thick, without being greasy or unspreadable. I have to admit though- I hate the smell, which is why I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. It's a nice chocolatey smell and by itself it's fine, but I hate smelling like food and unfortunately, the smell lingers. I only use this on nights I'm not going out, and in the morning I'll use my BBW body cream after my shower. Between this, the body cream, and dry brushing, my skin is soft and glowy and wonderful, and if you like the smell, you'll love this.

I love to slather this creamy cocoa butter all over my skin right out of the shower. Very moisturizing and it's really cheap. I have a friend who complains about the fragrance when I wear it, but I like it. However,I don't want to gag my friends so I only apply it before bed now.

I had a nasty dry patch on my arm from having drying skin...i also had bumps...ALL OVER MY FACE!!! yeah i'm 17 and its puberty but like come on gross , so i went to the beauty supply and bought Palmer's Shea butter and cocoa butter. When i first stuck it on i did a little dance like if i was in a commercial. :) I love it, my skin tone looks evened out finally!! and my bumps are no more! The nasty dry patch is gone to. I use Dove sensitive skin and Dove Shea butter when i shower. Then i apply cocoa butter all over. If i run out of cocoa butter i open the bottle of Palmer's Shea butter. Either way there both amazing and works for every skin type. :)

This is one of those popular beauty products that is worth the hype, out of most body lotions this is the most moisturising and best one you can get,it really leaves your skin soft and smooth and is great for after shavinng your legs since it will replace the moisture you have lost,it also has the most gorgeous chocolate scent but if you do not like scented cream palmers also has this in unscented as well,i would highly recommend this body lotion to anyone.

I really like the idea of this product and the fact that it is paraben free and hasn't been tested on animals , smells like chocolate but I really don't see the moisturising effects and it hasn't healed my scars.

I had weight loss surgery and was so concerned about saggy skin. I've been using t original lotion, the firming butter, and the stretch mark cream 2x daily and it's totally working! I had the driest skin post op and now my skin is softer than ever. Everyone notices. They say I'm glowing all of the time. I will probably never use a different lotion again. This is just amazing.

I love this stuff. I mean LOVE. It is the best. I've used it for quite awhile and it just makes everything better. I can even use it on my face and I have super clog-prone skin. Say what? Yep, it actually seems to get rid of some of the clogs. It also keeps me clogged pore free in the bikini area. I thought that was impossible! I love you, Palmer's. Never change.

I love this product! I have used this for 7 years daily and my skin is soft and smooth. I always get comments from my friends as to how smooth it is. I use it once daily after I shower. It does smell like chocolate but the scent is very faint. I will continue to buy this product!!!

This lotion is good for light moisturizing of normal to oily body skin. It has a nice chocolatey scent that isn't cloying and fades quickly after application. However, this is a better summer than winter lotion for me. In the winter, my skin is more prone to dryness and itchiness, and this lotion is not enough. I said that I would buy it again, but probably just a mini to keep in my purse for my hands.

After reading all the good reviews I went to purchase this product. I thought I finally found the right lotion, but this is not the case. Same as other Palmer's products, I really don't like the smell. I'm not crazy to run around smell like some kind of food (cake or whatever). I personally prefer more of a floral or fruity smell, even lotion without scent, but Palmers products have some of the wiredest scent that I just hate to put on my skin, and my bf doesn't like the smell on me too.
The lotion is thick and easy to absorb, but I do get itchy feeling pretty much every time I use it. I thought I was my skin so I asked my bf to try it, and he felt the same itchiness. If this is the case, I don't know why this product received so many good reviews. I still have a whole bottle of product that I can't use anymore, however the price is cheap so I might just throw it out.

Best moisturiser ever. I've tried so many body creams and none beats this. I get dry patches on my arms and nothing sorts it like this. I'm pregnant with my second baby and so far so good (I know nothing really prevents stretch marks if you're going to get them but at the very least my skin feels moisturised and not like it is going to split).. One point off the packaging because I find I have to cut the bottle open to get every last bit out. But another reviewer said to put it on the radiator - I'm going to try that next... highly recommend this.

I bought this because my skin needed a little bit more hydration during winter. In the bottle the smell is amazing but it turns into a strong rubber smeel as soon as I apply it on my skin. Also I dont think that it did a good job hydrating my skin.It just left a sticky film on the top of it.I wont repurchase.

It's ironic how Palmer's chocolate isn't even worth the effort it takes to unwrap, but their lotion smells good enough to eat. Anyway, it is moisturizing, although in really dry spots like the sides of my hands, I occasionally need to apply twice. It also takes some effort to rub it in - if I don't, my skin will be flaky yet feel greasy all at once. Once it absorbs, my skin feels amazingly soft and smooth. The scent is strong and just like brownie or chocolate cupcake batter, and really lingers - I can still smell it on my arm 18 hours later.

I bought this because I had a few light stretch marks on my tummy and wanted them to fade. It broke me out in a rash and couldn't use it anymore :( the only pros for me were the smell (amazing) and the packaging quality. Other than that, not for me. Sorry, Palmers.

Without a doubt the best body moisturiser I have ever tried. I’ve been using it since I was 14, when I was going through a traumatic period in my life where I gained some horrifically ugly purple stretch marks on my breasts and back of my legs, and was recommended to use cocoa butter by a lot of people. I’ve been using it ever since, it really did get rid of those awful marks and intensely moisturises my skin like nothing else, thanks to it’s thick but spreadable consistency. It has the most gorgeously sweet almost chocolatey scent, it’s such a treat to use this after showering. I’ve experimented with a lot of different body moisturisers over the years and with the exception of Dove Summer Glow, always return to my Palmers. I’ve used most of the other variants, such as the Olive butter, the unscented butter and the Alpha-Hydroxy and whilst they’re all brilliant, I still love the original the best, maybe because the scent is so comforting! Tip – if you find your cocoa butter is hard to squeeze out of the container, leave it on the radiator or heat it up for a couple of seconds – it quickly melts so you can use up what’s left!

I have relatively dry and sensitive skin on my body, and this lotion is about one of the couples of lotions that really works for me. The texture is thicker, more like cream than a watery lotion, yet it absorbs fast, totally not greasy, work wonderful, moisturizes dry skin, soothes itching, hydrates enough until next shower, and I do think this help to even out skin tone. I am a total chocolate-holic, and I do think this lotion smells like chocolate, so personally I'm totally fine with the smell. This is my most favorite body lotion now and I think this is going to be a staple product for me.
